181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: May 12, 2017, 01:42:46 PM
for transactions that are small in value under $10 is a bit ridiculous but everytime I do a transaction I charged a fee $0.2 or $0.5 and if you see from the side of the big holder that's small fee compared to the others.
In fact that amount of fee is very cheap compared to the traditional remittances that we currently have. Bitcoin is still affordable and its cheap is still low and the transaction is fast so we don't need to worry because it is still up to us on how much fee we will put on a transaction.

Not always true. I usually buy gift cards online through sites like Gyft. I pay close to 10-20$ per card when buying, and get charged that fee of 5%. If I was to pay through paypal or something, then I would be paying no fee. It would be the merchant paying it in that case.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Question about transaction fees on: May 12, 2017, 01:41:12 PM
My guess would be that for smaller amounts you will need to use LTC or some other crypto, if something doesn't change with scaling. As bitcoin might be used for larger transactions where alts for day-to-day use.

Using LTC all the time is not possible. Specially if I am sending this money to a merchant accepting bitcoin. Maybe sites like bitpay need to start incorporating LTC as well.

1. I wanted to see 10 withdrawals you made from coinbase because i highly doubt they put on all transaction such a small fee and instead they pocket the difference between what they tell you is a fee and the actual fee paid to miners

2. Maybe now it's time to look around, and as I've already told you the fee problem is determined by the number of transaction not by the price.

I am confused here ? Do you mean they pay it for multiple transactions and pocket the difference they charge everyone and that one transaction fees ?
183  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Vouched: Guide On How To Get Loan From Reputable Trader's On Localbitc on: May 11, 2017, 09:59:26 AM
Out of curiosity how many prior trades they require consider one for loan ? And what amounts do those loans typically vary in ? If you are saying home biz, then seems to be over 1000$. How would they trust you with that amount ?
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: May 07, 2017, 07:17:19 AM
I posted this just 2-3 days back. If the price goes to 5000$ then the transaction fees will actually be close to 2 dollars. No one will then use bitcoin for sending anything less than 20-30$ as they will eventually be paying fees as much or more than paypal and other systems.

Hi Kyle, so I was interested in buying just one particular shoe that Nike is releasing sometime soon. Can you offer a bot for only a single purchase ?. Buying the whole thing for the long term doesn't make sense for me to spend that much money on the bot.

Hey, send me a PM with what drop you're planning on going for and I'll see what I can do.

Nothing in particular right now. Its a random shoe, something like https://www.nike.com/launch/t/air-jordan-1-retro-metallic-red . In other words its one of their saturday releases, which usually gets sold out in seconds.

Hi,

The metallic reds aren't expected to sell out on launch day but should sell out shortly after (could be wrong but that's what it's looking like atm). Also, Nike does a lot of restocks too shortly after the initial drop. If you're just going for this drop, I'd actually advise going manual as it would be a lot cheaper than getting the bots.

If you really want to pick up the bots, just send me a PM. However, most normal Nike/Jordan drops don't sell out instantly anymore.

It wasn't that particular shoe. That was just an example . Looking to pick up something along the lines of this:
https://www.nike.com/launch/t/air-vapormax-flyknit-day-to-night-collection

How much would the bot cost for something like that ?

Hello

I got my balance up 1.4 btc and they just stole it.

No bets they just stole my money .

They took the funds out of my account no reason and have blocked me on live chat and are not replying to the emails i am sending

They are exit scamming watch out

While I am not commenting on the authencity of this post. This could however be a name shame post because the user also posted an accusation about the casino couple of days back here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1896388.msg18838006#msg18838006

I find it hard to believe that he would deposit 1.4 btc on the site after that.
187  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportbetbet.io Stole My Money Possible Exit Scam on: May 05, 2017, 06:11:40 AM
Wait ,so I see you claiming the casino is a scam here a few days back: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1896388.msg18838006#msg18838006

and you go ahead and deposit 1.2 BTC on the casino despite that ?
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Question about transaction fees on: May 04, 2017, 07:05:24 AM
Because of another post on here, I was wondering what would happen if bitcoin touches a price like $5000. What would the new transaction fees mean then ?
Even Bitcoin reach $5000 point , the fees is still in the default fees that we using today (0.0002 BTC).
And check this site for further information about the fees : https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees
Isn't the amount of fee determined by the number of transactions the sender uses, like this example?

I am unsure. Probably seems like it from the looks of that post. However, most of the online wallets don't do this. Neither would someone who is new to bitcoin. So at the end, I am still curious how would smaller transactions be sustained.
189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin break the history. on: May 04, 2017, 04:59:06 AM
I don't think its going to happen. A lot of the bitcoin is being going up right now due to the good news coming in. Looking at the trend, it stops or reverses and really fast anytime a bad news or a big scam occurs in the bitcoin world. While I would hope it keeps going up, I simply do not see it hitting such high numbers within one year.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Question about transaction fees on: May 04, 2017, 02:51:31 AM

can you show me 10 transaction from coinbase with the fee around 0.0004-0.0005?

the price is not important when it comes to fees!

What do you mean ? Coinbase does have a fixed fees. I can't change it on their website. Maybe when I download their wallet, it could be different.

What is important is how many transactions are in memo pool and how much are you willing to wait!

if there is no transaction in memo pool you could do it with 1 sat ... because 1sat i better than 0!

but if there are 5000 transactions with a size of 3MB and you put a small fee you will have to wait for 3 block to be solved until your transaction will be processed, but if you put a higher fee miners will include your transaction in the first block found.

also another factor is who is sending BTC in the same time with you .. because if 3000 whales send t at the same time as you and they all put a fee of 0.001 and you put 0.0002 you will have to wait until their transactions are included.

This is a general answer. People don't go about looking how many transactions are being made. I just meant a general average case.

I typically use coinbase which has a 0.0004-0.0005 for fees. I guess I could somewhat reduce it to 0.0002 by using an offline wallet. But even then, wouldn't it mean that sending amounts as low as 1-5$ would be not worth it ?
192  Economy / Services / Re: Looking to hire someone for an animation on: May 04, 2017, 02:27:05 AM
I am working on a small project which requires animation, please contact me or post here with any previous work you might have done. And pm me the price you will be willing to pay for a similar line of work for me to understand.

Please, explain the project you are talking about. What kind of animation? 2d or 3d? animated logos or banners? motion graphic?.

Something along the lines of animated people(don't have to have proper face and all, just black and white) doing things. Need it for a small construction product that I am running. Need the animation to do something for that. I already have someone I am working with, and another PM who I will contact incase first one doesn't go well. Feel free to leave or PM your animation work.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes the bitcoin price stronger in the market? on: May 04, 2017, 01:54:50 AM
I feel its all because of the good news floating around the market, specially segwit. There is also a speculated component that people believe in it too much. Enough to not sell it, and holding alone can drive the price up.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WTF@BTC transaction fee? on: May 04, 2017, 01:18:28 AM
Why don't you just send it with 0 fees if you have a problem with it? Fees aren't mandatory Smiley.

Hows that a good thing ? The concern is about rising txn fees with rising price. If it keeps rising, shouldn't the fees actually come down with the rising price ? Otherwise, I don't understand how will the fees be sustained.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Question about transaction fees on: May 04, 2017, 12:48:49 AM
Because of another post on here, I was wondering what would happen if bitcoin touches a price like $5000. What would the new transaction fees mean then ?

Because that would mean 0.001 btc is 5$, and we will not be able to send anything less than 5$ without paying half of that in fees. Sending 1$ would be impossible.

196  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction - $1500 in 30 days - What do you think? on: May 04, 2017, 12:47:04 AM
I have seen a lot of news over the past 6 months, since BTC sold for around 600 dollars.
One thing that seems to have stood out in the news is the relentless positive attitude surrounding Bitcoin.
The price continues to thrive and big business wants a piece of the action.
Words such as 'decentralized' and 'blockchain' have become so common in start-up's and established business.
In a world where where we used to have emoji's we now have guides on emoji grammar. The online world is changing.  Shocked
I cant tell you all that I have any more knowledge than the average Bitcoin Miner.

So fro 600 to 1300 dollars in 6 months, My prediction is for BTC to hit $1500 in 30 days. That's my logic!

If it doesn't, I you have my word that I will not try to predict the future again, now where did I put my crystal ball....

Well, BTC is officially higher than $1500 now. When is $2000? Cheesy

With segwit, it should be soon. Can actually go up all the way to $5000 as well. I just hope people don't get greedy and sell of their bitcoin or a scam doesn't happen which leads it to drop to lower 1000 again.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WTF@BTC transaction fee? on: May 04, 2017, 12:45:28 AM
I wonder what will happen if the bitcoin price reaches something like 5000$. So sending 0.001 btc, ie. 5$, then sending 1$ will not be possible as that would mean spending 2.5$ in fees.
198  Economy / Gambling / Re: AllInAsia Poker , 35% RAKEBACK on: May 03, 2017, 10:47:22 PM
Website link for AllInAsia Poker?

What are the Asian Poker Networks?

Found more information here http://www.allinasia.com/  . However, with the way this was posted here, it doesn't look too legit. Haven't tried it personally but seems it is a well known poker network. I would however not advice to send your full names to an anonymous person claiming to be from that site.

Wow that is really sad. I am glad I am not in the US right now.

Does anyone use this website for cash transactions? I wonder about the chances of encountering an undercover agent who tries to get you for something with the site.

As far as I have seen, you shouldn't have much to worry about while buying from any trader who is outside the US. Other governments imo donot take it too seriously.
