181  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 240v plugs and phases on: November 24, 2015, 07:08:51 AM
Both plugs are 240v single phase. I need better pics to see the exacts but here is what I see below.

One is a 20a or 30a twist lock L5 or L6

Another one is a 20a or 50a NEMA 10-20 or 10-50

The real question is what size is the wire going to it and what size is the breaker.
182  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Bitmain S3 Antminer Multiple Units on: November 24, 2015, 06:49:32 AM
Since everyone is complaining no miners are for sale, I figured I would sell some of my spare stock. I may sell more than just these 5 as well.

5 Antminer S3's - All units working perfectly no dead ASICs, units can clock to S3+ speeds.

Units are BTC.34455 each shipped to the lower 48 states, other shipping available but you will pay actual shipping charges. Units are shipping from Houston, TX USA.

Buyer can send payment first or Escrow is accepted through TomatoCage and OgNasty but buyer will have to pay all escrow fees.

Price Negotiable for multiple units being ordered.
183  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How do you get free power? on: November 23, 2015, 09:03:08 PM
I round up bums, and dangle $10 and a few beers in front of them while they walk in a big hamster wheel hooked to a generator.  Grin
184  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS][CAN]Wondering if there are any interests for ZeusX3/Falcon Hashboards on: November 23, 2015, 06:29:24 PM
You should be able to under lock them with some work to the X6 efficiency. I have several models of these miners and the only difference I see is chip count and chip voltage.
185  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My Avalon 6's are in undervolt + down clock results. on: November 23, 2015, 04:46:09 PM
Kind of disappointing, not much of an increase from the stock .284w/gh.  Maybe more tweaking will show better numbers.
186  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which miners generates most heat? on: November 23, 2015, 03:57:19 PM
If you do not care about profit get some S1's very quiet and use similar power to an S3. If you want to make some profit while staying warm get some S3's.
187  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone still Running A1 miners? on: November 23, 2015, 03:56:01 PM
I got a pair of Dragons going, mostly for heat in the apartment and office. They're close to breakeven and fairly quiet for 1KW. Rather have a half dozen S3 but you know, beggars can't be choosers.

+1 here, daughter's new space heater.  Also wish I hadn't sold my S3's...

S3's do make good heaters.  I turned on 12 of them around my house over the weekend I can say they are nice and quiet and the house is comfortable even with the houses main heaters off.
188  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone still Running A1 miners? on: November 23, 2015, 03:54:02 PM
I have several Bitmine Coincraft Desk V2's.  They are mining away at 1Th+
189  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Before i start mining on: November 23, 2015, 04:38:03 AM
Both of you guys I have advice for:

DO NOT GET INTO MINING.

It's a waste of god damn money and electricity at this point. Do not be fooled by the guise of money printers.
Mining sucks. I used to mine before the ASIC came into play as well as afterwards with the S1 miners.

Needless to say you will likely never break even unless you either have free electricity or you manage to mine with them for a bit and sell them to some sucker here on the forums for some ridiculious overprice..

I know mining seems like a good idea on paper.. Its not. Its's shitty, hot, loud and basically fruitless. These I learned first hand.

Not everyone has the same experience. I have been mining over a year now, and have made profit and expanded mining operations.  IT has been fun, profitable, and a great hobby.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know your own Bitcoin address? on: November 23, 2015, 04:32:25 AM
My only static address is the sig.  It is one from when I first started in BTC. I do not have it memorized.
191  Economy / Goods / Re: Premium quality handcrafted beef jerky on: November 23, 2015, 04:30:54 AM
Well time for me to restock on OCD Jerky.  Is there any bigger sizes then the 256g bags?  I want to probably get a few kilograms.
192  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: I'm planning to buy 50 antminer s3, how to conditionate a room. on: November 21, 2015, 10:01:52 AM
500 seems a little high. Even if I was selling my own uunits I wouldnt ask 500.

194  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: I'm planning to buy 50 antminer s3, how to conditionate a room. on: November 20, 2015, 04:32:18 AM
Thanks guys. I think i would get 12 or 13 s4 units. I'm already talking to one guy on ebay, but i would like to find more offers.

What price are you getting on ebay? I can probably beat it. PM me if you want to deal.
195  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Converting a 50 amp 240V line for mining questions on: November 20, 2015, 04:31:03 AM
What gauge is the wire?  A dryer pulls a continous load so the wire should handle 50A. I would get a 50A PDU and use all the capable power.

I'm not using the outlet where the dryer is.  I'm just using the breaker, of course I will use the recommended wire for 50 A.

you can't use that pdu ever just don't use it

it does not have a fuse

How many do you want?  I have S3's and S4's
197  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Converting a 50 amp 240V line for mining questions on: November 19, 2015, 10:15:00 PM
I would keep the breaker a 50A and run a bigger PDU.  Here is Finsky thread he sells 48A PDU that would do the job, just check with him on the plug types etc.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=966135.0
