Now if I only had 4,480 S5 miners instead of my one, I might get lucky.. Grin

Looks to me like a large rental on top of someone who already had a significant number of miners running.  Still hoping to see a lucky "small miner" solo solve from like a single machine owner type of miner.  We haven't had one of those in a while.
183  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly on: September 06, 2016, 06:44:59 PM
Announcement:

Dear HaoBTC users,
Per the Company’s latest decision, I (Eric Mu) will no longer hold the position as the Chief Marketing Office of the Beijing-based company. I will, however, retain the status as an employee while working on another HaoBTC-funded project that is not directly related to the Company’s main business, namely Bitcoin wallet, mining and exchange.

Starting tomorrow, I will no longer be directly involved in day-to-day operation of HaoBTC’s marketing and communications. My colleague Tyler Xiong will take over my responsibilities. If you have enquiries concerning the company or its services, please contact Tyler at tyler@haobtc.com. For personal matters, you are welcome to contact me at my personal address: muxiaoliang@gmail.com.

Please be reminded that the circumstances, in which the decision was made is one of mutual respect and trust. Thus this decision shouldn’t be seen as reflective of my performance, which the Company remains its high opinion of.

Meanwhile, I maintain high confidence in HaoBTC as a company: The team is highly professional and passionate about what they do. Their dedication to build a leading brand in the space is beyond any reasonable doubt. Wu Gang, the founding CEO, demonstrated great vision and leadership in steering the company to long-term success.

Best wishes to all of you.
Eric Mu

Thanks, Eric.  You've done a great job and are a huge reason for HaoBTC's success and popularity.  Your writing and pictures attracted many of us to the site, and my coin has been there ever since still earning interest.  Good luck to you in your next endeavor, and hopefully Tyler can fill your shoes, he's got a tough act to follow.

Edit: the block was found by an S7 averaging 7.433TH/s.  Again, congrats!
Nice job, been a long time coming!  Congrats to the pool on the healthy tx fees, nice solve.  Here's to the next one, may it come sooner than later!
So my bitcoin core wallet has been resyncing for days, and I came home from a weekend out of town and it had finished and lo and behold I had a payment from Bravo mining for this block.  Seems even though I haven't mined since around April my 5n value is still active!  Way to go, Bravo mining hehe, looking forward to firing my machines back up at some point.

186  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain Antminer R4 on: August 31, 2016, 07:25:44 PM
300+ day RoI with $0.1 USD/KwH electricity... Cheesy Cheesy  with new price over one year.. mining is on dead..

Nope  but bitmaintech need make a simple adjustment .  Let us buy the r4 with paypal.

If I buy my r4 with paypal.  and use my discover card I get 1 year warranty added.

This means I have 90 day + 1 year warranty on the r4.

that is 15 months.  roi should be 10 months.

So  here is the deal bitmaintech  allow us to buy the r4 with our paypal account.
And if you do it right and are able, you can use PayPal credit and get 0% interest for like 6 months or something.  Zero interest is free money, so that might make purchasing these even more attractive to some buyers.
187  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: August 31, 2016, 07:24:27 PM
I have a few extras I'm letting go of.  They work just fine and are clean.  Shouldn't cost much for shipping.  I'll let them go at 40 per stick.

Let me know if you're interested.

Wow, so my sticks have actually appreciated in value?  Weren't they only $20 each brand new?  Make more money reselling the sticks than would ever be possible to earn with them mining, heh.  Although I have 3 mining dust with "free" electricity, so I consider myself coming out ahead with those.

Come on 3 more blocks in 2 days so I can break even. PLEASE!!!
Heh heh, I'm just happy to get a few more blocks under my belt and get to my payout threshold.  Now I just need to finish resyncing core so I can see the lovely coin in my wallet.
190  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: ¤¤¤¤ antrun.de - Antrouter R1 Fun-Run - compare your share ¤¤¤¤ on: August 30, 2016, 12:12:20 AM
BTW Has an antrouter ever even solved a block?
Nope, never has and never will realistically.  But this is a fun contest and it give me at least a reason to keep the R1 running.  Set it and forget it.  Cool
191  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Aug 15 to Aug 29? prize = $25 picks are closed. on: August 25, 2016, 09:26:48 PM
I'm not sure what to expect coming in future with R4: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1596886.0 .  Pretty drastic change in miner design will be inserting to see how it does, it should give 120 people something to be happy about.  So unsure how much this will effect difficulty if bitmain will use design internally or keep with bigger miner's.   Or they could have like a R4+ for internal looking at it there are 2 unused hashboard spot's ready to be plugged into and many without a connector.  But all guesses there.
It doesn't look to me like the R4 is going to have a measurable network wide effect like the S9 did.  But it will be interesting to see how the new cooling design works out, I'm sure we would all welcome quieter miners (although Bitmain won't see any money from me directly).
192  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain Antminer R4 on: August 25, 2016, 09:23:54 PM
Are they still using a crappy hack job of cgminer?  I'm sure the answer is yes.  Until they actually support Kano and Ck, and cgminer proper, I will never give Bitmain a cent of my money.

Avalon A7?  Proper cgminer integration?  Yes please.
193  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: August 25, 2016, 04:51:37 PM
I have a little more than 1 coin saved away, it's my "lotto coin" for in case the value of btc skyrockets some day.  For coins that I spend I typically buy them and then spend them, due to the volatility of coin value it doesn't always make sense to me to spend coin since you could be losing money by spending the coin, depending what it took you to get it.  This is an inherent problem with btc as a living currency until it's price stabilizes.
194  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: August 25, 2016, 04:49:07 PM
I am hoping that this one gets solved and that we get a few good ones following it.

Me too, especially since I am right on the cusp of my preset payout amount, and nothing is better than getting a little freshly mined coin in your wallet!
195  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Aug 15 to Aug 29? prize = $25 picks are open. on: August 23, 2016, 10:02:16 PM
Thankfully it looks like the spike has peaked and is on the way down. Hopefully this averages out to a more mild increase.
Even though the peak hash has dropped off it's still currently sitting higher than it ever has in the past.  I honestly expected a bit of a slow down after the halving, but things just keep going up and up.

Aaaaaaand finally the new Number ONE is...taaataaaa...  Cool Cool

And I'm proud to be holding up the bottom with my mega 97K share, lol.  It's like I have the whole antrun.de crowd on my shoulders.

Well my little any woke up over the weekend and pulled out a 3.2M share, now sitting in the top 5 woo hoo.  Cool

Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it in a few times while cgminer is running? The gekko version of cgminer allows for hotplugging of devices.
I think all versions of cgminer support hot plugging devices, it was one of the things I used to have to do to get my U3 to hash.
199  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntRouter R1: 1st wireless networking device with bitcoin mining chip on: August 18, 2016, 06:33:45 PM
Does anyone have any stories of actually mining a block with this thing, or coming even remotely close to making a profit?  I'd love to hear them.
You'll be waiting a long, long, long, long, long time to hear about a block.

A profit, are you joking?

Do you understand what 5GH means in today's mining world?

It means you can mine for 4 years and never find a blocks
It means you can mine for 4000 years and never find a block.

You could, in theory, find one tomorrow, but the odds are way way way that you will not.  Effectively 0 chance.  But still fun to run the R1 in antrun.de fun run.
200  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Aug 15 to Aug 29? prize = $25 picks are yet to start. on: August 18, 2016, 06:31:13 PM
there are or is  900 ph  of s-7 and avalon 6  and it is going to become worthless over the next 3 months  diff has to slow or drop.

Thats my guess.  Lets see how bad it is on sept 1 then oct 1 then nov 1
I ran my Avalon6 all last winter and spring, but I've had it off all summer due to heat.  I had always planned to bring it back online once things cooled down again, but now I just don't think it's worth it.  Maybe as a lotto machine run a few hours here and there just for fun, but yea all that gear will be falling off the network fairly soon I bet.  I even ran my S5 all that time, too, but doubt I'll ever turn it on again.

My S3 and S1 I keep around in a box just for the memories hehe.
