Wow, nice new toys! I'm scared to do anything new until after the halving. I was going to host the machines I have and get some more, but I've decided to hold off and see what happens after July. I'm hoping a bit of the bottom drops out and makes mega-mines no longer efficient to run and we see the difficulty come back down to levels that garage miners can hope to solve.

Either he managed to unplug one of the 9 melted pci-e plugs, one of them didn't overheat, or he was only using 8 of them (note middle plug on top board). All in all it's probably user error.

Doesn't that just make it even hotter? I have to turn my miners off during the day when it's hot. Been lucky so far this spring and had a lot of cool weather.

I think the on and off hash power may have been some of this next generation gear being tested or burned in, and now it's here to stay.

And network hash power is still climbing after adjustment. This is it, the last push before the halving made of probably the next-gen gear.

the guess they filled up the space made by all those cheap s-7 sold and filled the racks with s-9s

Which would also make sense to explain some of the previous peaks being the newly made s-7's coming off the line and getting plugged in at a mine before coming offline and being sold "as new". I don't thinks all the hash is Bitmain, but I think generally this is what we are seeing happen.

And here I thought things would be quiet before the halving...

It's only a waste of time if you can't afford the electricity or it's not fun to you. I have 4.7TH and I point it here most of the time just hoping to get lucky, because that is part of the fun of mining to me.
