Digibyte who copied bitcoins SegWit and Myriads multi algo is at 1.3 billion marketcap. The crypto world isn't a fair place but I have to reserve final judgment for PoW2 and SegSig.

Any updates from the testers or development team?

Crypto changed in 2016, it rewards results and not rumours when it comes to investing. Before coins would get pumped on promises and if they came through would be dumped.

So, in that perspective... why is so much money flowing into ICOs? Aren't those just the same promises in a new packaging?

Any indication when ISX opens again?

Oh... and All the best wishes for 2018!!!

Dev team has made a update about testing,

https://dev.gulden.com/what-are-our-testers-testing-for-the-gulden-2-0-update/

20-12-2017

What are our testers testing for the Gulden 2.0 update?
We have had this question come up from many community members so we thought it would be a good time to break down the parts involved. The 2.0 update involves tens of thousands of lines of code that effect every layer of the software, from the blockchain consensus, the transaction script layer to the network layer and UI. While the bulk of the code has been written and reviewed there is simply no replacement for repeated real world testing by multiple parties and this is what the testing phase is all about.

1. Phase 1 to 5 upgrade script for PoW2 and SegSig compatibility.
The above process eliminates the need for an immediate messy hard fork; allowing time for everyone to upgrade cleanly while also bringing the witnessing functinality into use as fast as possible. With the amount of services reliant on Gulden we have to keep downtime to an absolute minimum.

2. Witnessing balance in practise compared to theory.
The development team have come up with a new testnet called fastnets where each person can run their own simulations alongside our main testnet. This gives our testers the ability to fast track the results of witnessing.

3. SegSig introduces a completely new transaction format with up to 58% smaller transactions.
This new format needs to be tested in multiple ways to ensure that it works in all cases and for all transaction types and that no unexpected issues are introduced.

4. When it comes to user interface design nothing beats real user feedback.
As we reach the final part of testing our UX team and developers will be working closely with users to ensure that the interface is one that all users can use and not just the technically minded.

5. iOS and Android 2.0 compatibility testing.

6. Aside from SegSig and PoW˛, version 2.0 also introduces dozens of other bug fixes and various new upstream functionality.
While the main focus is on SegSig/PoW˛ it is important that all other functionality is also retested to not let any surprise issues through.

Lots of "Look all those awesome features we are testing, but not for you. Stay tuned for some undetermined time." and less "Testing is progressing fine, we're at <some number>% of the things we want to test, no serious bugs found so far. If no big bugs surface, next release could be around <insert date>."

The moment of truth is about to arrive for Gulden, I know Biomike and Rijk proposed that Gulden would be more stable in price compared to other coins when bitcoin drops because it's more tied to the Euro. Bitcoin is dropping and it's time to see if Biomike (who i respect as a trader) and Rijk (Founder of the best coin in crypto) is right.

GRS was the coin of 2017 with all it's updates and $160 million marketcap. The updates weren't innovative but they keep up with bitcoin changes and copy good parts of other coins well.

Funny you mention GRS, as I've been contacted by members of their community past few years about ditching country coins as GRS has true innovation according to them. NLG has been keeping up with BTC changes as well, so there is nothing new here.

As for price stability, with the recent price going up in fiat (mostly driven by crypto in general) this has been at stake, but a few cents is still doable. Bittrex still seems to rule the market, so it will be up to the EUR exchanges to lock that wealth, preferably before the crypto market gets a correction/crash.

The account ranked 3rd on the richlist has been labelled as a lost mintpal wallet but the account shows a withdrawal of 20 000 coins this July.

Any thoughts?

The mintpal situation was before my time, but if this is really their wallet than that is indeed interesting. At least something to keep watching a bit closer.

We're working on things in Iceland, but that's not new (no real updates for now). We have done market development in the past, to keep the price stable, together with the increasing BTC/fiat price, this has an effect on AUR price. The Icelandic exchange follows (Icelandic people are noticing this) and market development has shifted to that exchange. As for the pump claims, our rank at CMC is at the same level for the past few months (with a small exception a two weeks ago) indicating that this growth is comparable for the rest of the crypto market.

As for the 50% claim. Mined coins were distributed among Icelandic population a few years ago, 1 million AUR were transferred to the Auroracoin foundation for promotion and development (like I said, mostly untouched until now), remains have been burned. Check OP for details.

And....lift-off !! 😁🎉🎉🚀🚀

Nice trend breach.

Nice up and volumes

The destroyer of hopes and dreams at 700 satoshi. Biomike last Gulden ?

Neh ;-) Never go full in or out.

Back to EUR levels from June this year?... Due to higher BTC price. Let's see where this run goes... it's way too early to call trend breach (especially on the long term).

Hi

Can somebody help me with the Aurora web wallet. First it shows full balance but after a few seconds it restricts the balance to the 20 latest inputs...

@LTEX, can you have a check what's going on here? I guess this is the HIVE wallet.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: December 12, 2017, 08:00:34 PM

Good luck folks! Gulden is becoming even worse than Ripple. Closed source and a dictator running the show that makes Jamie Dimon look like Santa Clause!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Closed source wallet/daemon  Roll Eyes sounds legit Cheesy

License-wise they are allowed to do this, but functionality (if it really works and people actually want it) could be reverse engineered relative easily. Unless they add additional layers to hide the workings, which would be paranoia for nothing, and counteract their goal of mass adoption.

@cryptoba, maybe I did, maybe I didn't, maybe I'm planning to and maybe I already bought back lots more.
190  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex personal info has been leaked? What to do if it has? on: December 12, 2017, 08:15:18 AM
If you're not sure yet if there is something stolen, just keep watching closely for strange things to happen (bank accounts/loans being opened on your name, have a lawyer ready). Keep a journal of your activities on a daily basis, so you have an alibi. Keep doing this as long as it takes for your passport to expire. One thing you could do as well is get a new passport, have the old one destroyed (don't do that yourself, it's your government's property!). This might cost a few bucks, but could be the best line of defence. Again, contact a local privacy support group, they can give you better advise.
191  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex on: December 11, 2017, 01:11:49 PM
Can anyone tell me how can I tell if I've been effected by this bittrex leak?

With all our info including our passports they can easily pretend to be us

WTF do i do now?

I contacted my phone provider as with our info they can ring up and change our phone number which they gained from bittrex over to another simcard and then bypass all 2 factor for starters including access to our email address if that uses 2 factor code sent to phone.

With our info can't search for other places we use our details.

not to mention now do I have to be worried about someone using my identity for fraud, making bank accounts and doing what they can to use it to their advantage

I don't really want to change my email address for hundreds of sites, I don't want a new phone number but one thing I can't change if they have is my passport info..but I really don't know what to do now

ANY ADVICE APPRECIATED

https://cryptovest.com/news/bittrex-leaks-passports-shows-user-data-over-unsafe-connections/

I replied to your own thread.

As for Bittrex, If they are genuine, they will survive. They handled the whole transition completely wrong. This started with the communication, and has worsened by not properly handling their support tickets. Also, communicating with exit strategies for people who wanted to GTFO should have been done at a much earlier state. They should have rejected payments for accounts that don't allow withdrawal. 0 BTC withdrawal limit, seriously? Even within the US legal framework this is overdoing it if there is no exit strategy.

They made a shitload of errors, but as long as many people aren't effected they can continue... but be warned for when the shit really hits the fan.
192  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex personal info has been leaked? What to do if it has? on: December 11, 2017, 01:03:14 PM
Depending on where you live. File a report at your local police office for identity theft. Get a lawyer, ID theft can get you into serious trouble (if you live in the USA they could maybe help you deal with Bittrex). Maybe get into contact with a local privacy-rights group that can help you, they could give you advice, if a lawyer is not an option.

Here's a pretty new article on the Gulden in December: https://presstelegraph.com/e-gulden-efl-plunges-15-47-on-december-10-11/

E-Gulden (EFL) had a bad 24 hours as the crypto declined $-0.04 or -15.47% trading at $0.23. According to Global Crypto Analysts, E-Gulden (EFL) eyes $0.25 target on the road to $0.67. EFL last traded at BitTrex exchange. It had high of $0.27 and low of $0.22 for December 10-11. The open was $0.27.

E-Gulden (EFL) is up 55.07% in the last 30 days from $0.15 per coin. Its up 65.88% in the last 100 days since when traded at $0.14 and the annual trend is up. 200 days ago EFL traded at $0.05. EFL has 20.60M coins mined giving it $4.71M market cap. E-Gulden maximum coins available are 21.00M. EFL uses Scrypt algorithm and PoW proof type. It was started on 19/03/2014.

Different coin.

They should wait with buying until NLG hits 1 sat. That way it can't go lower every time BTC goes up. ;-)
Why don´t you let go of your Gulden instead of talking shit!!!
You are here creating FEAR while you are holding Gulden, or have you sold all of them and you are actually scared that Gulden succeeds?

Dude, relax! Not putting any fear in there, just being realistic (well, the 1 sat. was of course a bit joking).
BTC price just does not matter as long as BTC keeps going up, no need to catch a falling knife. The few traders NLG has, have accepted this as truth now, that's
why they are all waiting on the side line and not putting buy orders in.

I don't think a lot of people are going to use it in the future
the price action of the last 3 years is not caused by ordinary people, these are people who chose to invest in crypto, not use it

Of course this is always the case for projects that are high in risk (e.g. cryptos), but when the coin was still a community driven coin this was much less. The goal at that time was mass adoption within the Netherlands, now it is "0-confirmation transactions". Two totally different audiences.

I notice the 2 coins you support have bad marketcaps.

So... and your point is what exactly?

Bittrex uses the company Jumio for the verification process. Jumio has been around since 2010. If Jumio have been selling IDss I guess they would have been caught by now.
Many of the large exchanges require IDs registration nowadays, even the more shadier ones.
Yes, Bittrex is not excelling in communication and support, but so far I think it is one of the more reliable exchanges around.
But I could be wrong, time will tell.

Time is catching you up:
https://cryptocoremedia.com/bittrex-selling-private-data-and-hiding-truth/
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittrex-leaks-user-passports-in-support-emails-says-russian-telegram-channel

Jumio went bankrupt in 2016, was bought by an investment?/advertisement? company.

Unless you're having connections (read: lawyers) that can help you with US law... watch out with them. But this in principle counts for every exchange outside your country of residence.
199  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: December 08, 2017, 08:11:00 AM
I'll drop this here:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittrex-leaks-user-passports-in-support-emails-says-russian-telegram-channel

I would not send my ID to these guys as long as they don't answer your support ticket (and even afterwards ONLY if you're able to get into legal (US) ways when they leak your ID).

There is a rumor about a big announcement today. (07.12)

Than you know more than me... and I'm on the dev team.

I have no explanation of the last night pump. Trade with caution! Buy orders on Bittrex (where this pump started) are currently in no relation with the price increase.
