Will the next XMR-STAK-RX versions be uploaded here (in case there will be a dev-fee in the next releases)?
Thanks

yeah, ill continue them here when necessary.  since this initial release is no fee, i figured i'd leave it to the devs.

I can't believe TOAA is still trying to maintain some sort of defense.....   All I have to do is read your replies to his... not even his (which are blocked) and it paints a CLEAR picture.

TOAA:  GFY.

I wonder if the new gen is a process node jump, or a hybrid of the current product...

I decided to not upgrade to the new gen nvidia gpu... I may give it a go if you see that huge jump as nvidia is typical to give with the higher end '80/ti chips/models.  The 1K+ pricetag on a 2080ti wasn't worth it for me, even as an also gamer that is stuck at home 90% of the time.

Yep, and the other people the plagiarize content, make small edits in between large paragraphs to try and hide the spammy nature of the content posted....   Its the same thing with a different intent.
185  Other / Meta / Re: [UNBAN APPEAL] Account Icoperf on: November 03, 2019, 11:51:59 PM
Providing a coupon code to receive a free premium membership is a trait of advertisement imo. I think that's the reason why.

By just seeing your post with bold Free Coupon title, I can already say that your intention wasn't really to inform about the coin being listed on your service, but to advertise your service directly with a promo.

Also posting the same message in multiple places:  spam...

not good behavior in the slightest.

Thanks.

I have received the BUB. I also left a positive feedback. It just gives me so much confidence that you will continue staking the coin. Great doing business with you.

No problem at all....  I had faith in the project...    Similar to Cryptobridge, but way different...

I still have faith it may become something... and its not hard to leave a small app running on a server that has the resources free....   only reason it would ever go offline is power outages....  that's it... so expect it to stay going for some time....    I mean, I was able to buy ~64K coins and sell 122K....  so it was 100% worth staking for this past very long while.

Thanks for the feedback.  If I can help in the future, LMK, ill do what I can.

Id do the same... depends on how many coins you need in the end.

122,000 BUB = 0.0488 BTC  1PHSDYvVp6HpqtuUPocK41DrdeHbbezaeP

Would leave me with a touch over 1K (as of right now) in that address so I can feel good about keeping the wallet online.

Just pm me here (ill definitely see my coinbase account notification for a receive TX) with your BUB wallet address
or

you can post it here; or email me: my username at gmail and ill TX the BUB when it's confirmed.

If you are interested in more;

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2813890.0

There is that batch file, along with links to all the old and different ones for different tasks over the years that I have made.

mminer can update itself... or be controlled by changing an arbitrary text file on the web, etc....   That one just uses a few powershell calls for the major stuff and some creative variable use and loops for the rest....

having to use tricks like the 'choice' command for use as a timer makes for creative batch work.

Some are very basic, some do some very interesting things.

but all in all, a batch file is no different than a shell script in linux... it's just constrained to the command interpreter (formerly command.com)... things like incremental nested loops get quite interesting trying to deal with.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BUBBLE || alpha software in testing demo up big news on: November 01, 2019, 05:21:18 AM

Wrt the coins, how much will you be willing to sell them for? Is 25 sat fair enough? I would prefer you make a counter offer.

I can trade you some BUB for half the going rate from Yobit. (100,000 BUB for 0.1 BTC)

See, that's around where i'm at with my bag.   It would basically be break-even if I sold out of them which does not equal a loss in my eyes.    I bought a bunch less coins than I own;  Staking earned a fair amount to offset that woe.

Ill look at your source later and give my input.... I have errands to run right now and I don't have time at the moment to do so.     We do appreciate you posting the source for validation (I believe someone may try to compile and compare binaries, so giving build environment details and variables will help us with this).

I just transform daemonadaware.bat to an exe file with https://mega.nz/#!fYZH2Q4B!kics8bd__232Axn6ijrpaLBNnV_X5j91eFLwbqo4HM4 yo need to check to install.bat too i transform to an exe too with the same program but is not necessary.

You always need admin rights to execute the bats or exes.

nope, a .bat file is treated in the system like a .lnk file....

it's the calls within it that can trigger admin priv being necessary.

Example being a .bat that calls a powershell command to lets say fetch a file from the internet.... or to launch in system space like my .vbs script does.

But I see;  You say you are using a .bat to .exe translator of sorts....    When I have the spare time, Ill look it over... just been busy and dealing extra personal issues recently.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5115081.msg51415946#msg51415946 this thread (and really many others) is full of Jollygood's spam.

He is constanly blaming people and projects (sometimes without any proofs), insulting them, humilitating newbies, spamming all-over the forum, never answering questions. He destroyed trust system on Bitcointalk.

When I get more evidences this person is the biggest scammer here, I'll give it to you.

You got banned for plagiarism. You're not supposed to be posting outside of your ban appeal thread.

Stop crying. Nobody wants to hear it.

if this is his known second account;  this should be enough to make so that we should never have to deal with him again.....  It would be clear-cut.

Ahahahahah xD

I don't know if you deserve the merit as you're encouraging a troll, but still fuckng funny.

But omfg I just discovered this guy. What the hell? What the actual fucking fuck??

I'm complaining about some people on the local forum but that's a brand new troll level. I gotta apologize to the local French guys for being pissed of by them compared to that xD

I have had him and a few of his sock puppets blocked for some time now....  I just see a greyed out thread and bar...  There's a reason for it.... lol

TOAA sure takes the cake doesn't he?

Sooo proud of those 61 votes out of the 178 replies and 2510 people that clicked on his thread...  What an astounding ratio of participation and validation....

I mean... If you wanna go down a rabbit hole:   Just read his post history chronologically....   you will need a lot of popcorn.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BUBBLE || alpha software in testing demo up big news on: October 30, 2019, 04:32:37 AM
Yeah;  getting the .conf file made and put in the right place was blind information;  you had to know how the generic wallet designs of old worked to know it still worked that way.   Most people who copied and modified the source for their project didn't add all the necessary details in their instructions... they also didnt expect the nodes to have to change (most have short foresight).

20 sat is too little but if I sold them, I would just sell all of them....  I planned to sit on them and hold out the the project makes more wind, the wallet on yobit finally goes back online or BUB hits a different exchange.  20 sat is too low for the BTC value I initially traded.    It was a gamble, and the gamble is still real.  If you make me a better offer... maybe... but, to be honest;  they were bought with sig campaign payments... so its no initial loss aside from the BTC I put in from them in a manner of thinking so it has to be worth me "giving up the gamble".  You know how that goes.

I did put in another support ticket with yobit;  explaining the reason their wallet isnt syncing is most likely because it doesn't have the proper nodes anymore along with a link to the instructions for getting it online.
I'm not sure if they will even read it to be honest;   They left my last reply on my initial ticket unread.  If you havent put in a support ticket about BUB yet;  then I suggest you can try directing them to the thread and instructions....   maybe they will listen to someone whom hasn't said anything about it yet.

The wallet I control: NMwQZg1j5DpCBDkyVvEKKxDdKtdyxcNsrK
Balance as of this post: 122591.56691481

FYI: BTC Payment would be due before I send the coin;  I do hope you understand.
There are upstanding members here that can vouch for my honesty;  just ask Phillipma1957;  he has my real name, physical address, phone number,  and we have done business several times in the past for trade/sale or loan.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=64507

Mull it over... make on offer on the lot.  Go ahead and verify my address in the blockchain.   The number of coins in that address can only get bigger as it is currently staking as it has been for a long time.   ~300-2000 coins can get locked in each round of staking, so a second tx for the staked remaining balance will be sent once it is unlocked by the next stake that takes place.  (you'll see something similar if you keep your wallet online 24/7 and have enough coins to be staking)

Im glad with these power outages in California that my wallet's blockchain recovered from the shutdowns for a few days.  Hopefully no more of that anytime soon.

2% donation in the binaries are in the place... you say the truth y rename the binarie, because i use xmr stak binarie  Grin...

So... i do a product that is UNIKE... so i think 10% is right... do a similar product and put less fee...

I realice that xmr stak uses 2 minutes of 100 minutes of mining... I just stop mining in cicles of 30 minutes... so 2% of xmrstak fee dont apply... if they change that thing and make it ramdom it will be apply...  Grin

I know is sketchy, sorry about that, i think i will release the code is in batch ( Cheesy ), when i do it i will do a post about that. Thanks for yours opinions they are important for me.

The problem when free the code, was the people who wants bypass my code... bye bye 10% fee for me.

But look at the risk of fireice-UK with xmr-stak.... where would YOU be?  (get my drift?)

Many people out there have proven they are willing to support the developer;  even if they provide a way around it....      I mean, you can keep it as you wish, but with it being a big unknown on top of a large percentage.....  that can be the issue.

You might also want to review the source for xmr-stak, because there could very well be a set of code that varies the devfee mining time... not specifically after x min....   I never reviewed it myself because I simply set the variable to 0 when I compiled; it is like this in many other miners with devfees.
I left notes on what exactly I changed on my build/compile in my xmr-stak thread if you are interested.
Also If you want that handy .vbs script for launching processes in system space (background) Click Here.
My batch files could also give you some insight on how to accomplish some pretty crazy tasks in the terminal, and Nemosminer is written in Powershell for a good example of how he did it that way.

Cheers.

I free the code. you can chek it now at: https://github.com/itxmrminer/it-xmr-miner/

Please take a look and tell me what do you think.

About how to compile xmr stak... i doit a lot in linux, but in windows is more difficult. maybe you can give me the binarie. I can post the binarie with fee and without fee.

Click Here for the instructions to compile on different OS including windows.

Install the latest cuda, and the AMD drivers as recommended by the how-to.

I would not recommend you use my binary.   I already had two people use it in a malware program before, and have done my best to mitigate that type of thing up until now since the program version string comes back as XMR-stak-JK.

Just edit these two files:
donate-level.hpp
version.cpp

And compile as per the github instructions.

The instructions are for VS2017, not VS2019.  You can find the link to how to build the VS2019 version in my xmr-stak-JK main thread on this website.... someone else gave me the link, and it is a link to a reddit post with the instructions to compile under VS2019 if you wish to do it that way.... but the official compile instructions are for VS2017, so I suggest you use that.

Compiling can take a bit of time depending on how powerful your system is.

Ill look at your source later and give my input.... I have errands to run right now and I don't have time at the moment to do so.     We do appreciate you posting the source for validation (I believe someone may try to compile and compare binaries, so giving build environment details and variables will help us with this).

here's the rub for me when it comes to merit that fades away....

I don't go merit hunting....   I post in generally a few places only here.... and usually its as the market/technology develops and needs my touch.    I go through many periods of being quiet....

I have yet to find a sincere person that thinks I am not deserved of my status (which I had to actually earn the long way over years of posting)...

But if I get penalized for not being merited... I mean...  WTF.  Feels like a swift kick in the nuts.....

ok I went through the SVR thread and stopped at that one... I do not need to see any more.

JollyGood is well within reason, and is actually being quite nice about it all.

The sock-puppet posting and fake hype by newb low post count and sleeping accounts is kind-of boring predictable, and quite recognizable.    I agree with him.  Strike 1.
The project smells VERY fishy...   ANN initial posts lists the coin starting as a premine, in replies in the thread it was mentioned it was actually a swap....  Which was a PREMINE of 100,000.   Strike 2....
Simple 'hype' of the project and introduce, then immediate dump on exchange....    some time later, more 'hype' timed with a huge pump and more 'hype' to follow... Strike 3.........
People trying to sell in the thread at 10x current exchange price who in all reality appear to be coming from you in one form or another..... Strike 4......................

I have also left some clear negative feedback with reference links on some of the individuals' profiles in that thread.

I suggest you own up to the heat; and stop getting your panties in a bunch every time your honor is questioned.... Stop acting like a child.  Take criticism and build upon it as to NOT RECEIVE ANY MORE; which would be a sign that YOU ARE ACTUALLY DOING THINGS RIGHT.    The behavior in the many pages of that thread who are defending SVR is VERY laughable and makes you and the sock puppet accounts look petty.

Grow up.

If you expect me to take your response seriously, address everything I have touched on.... like an adult would.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: IT xmr Miner - background miner for home and bussiness on: October 26, 2019, 01:37:23 PM
Why not make it open source because you said already that the base is anyway from xmr-stack. Would also avoid bad voices because of viruses. Just my two cents

I will think about that, maybe i do it...

You should do it because once you release the source to the public other programmers can verify it and remove our doubts because anything run with the Run as Administrator command has full power over the system. To clear everyone doubts you should release the code to the public.Until you do that no one will take you seriously and no one will risk a download except people who use virtual environments for testing.

This was my initial concern, on top of a few other things that don't quite add up....

such as the 10% devfee, but he's using the downloaded binary from github and simply renaming it.....

sooooo....
are you actually doing 10% devfee total?
or...
10% you have it swapped to your pool,  and the 2% devfee on xmr-stak happens somewhere in the middle since you did not compile it yourself with a 0% actual devfee?? (odds are this was not taken into account so ill mention it)

FYI: A script such as powershell or a batch file can do just the same, and what is happening can be seen by the user.  With [I think] 3 lines of .vbs code you can put any application started in the background if you run it with admin priv.... no need for a sketchy unknown application....  I even posted the source on this very forum for such a thing.

Just saying all of this because this method of release and app control is extremely sketchy in many respects.  No offense meant, just being straight.
200  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Custom Dell Precision server BIOS question on: October 19, 2019, 04:04:11 AM
Hmm... you can try backing up the current BIOS firmware with which you can get more info about here: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-All-In-One-AIO-Desktops/Universal-BIOS-Backup-ToolKit-2-0/td-p/1205920

If you believe that the BIOS mod you have is reputable and trustable, you can go ahead and try it. While most of the modern servers have failsafes in place, R5400 is just... ancient by today's standards. So I can't be sure whether or not if you can even recover from a corrupt BIOS even if you have a backup.

Yeah, its definitely an older beast, but VERY reliable and perfect for the tasks I have it assigned to.

Didn't visit the Lenovo link;  this is a DELL....   dell uses their own proprietary method/utility for flashing their boards; and there is a well known/respected Ububtu utility for working with dell BIOS.

Getting current firmware from dell, or the machine itself is not in question...    I know the file I downloaded was not corrupted because I had to decompress it once downloaded and it would have been an issue then.  The BIOS modifier did not provide hash/checksums, but he was a well respected BIOS modifier on the site....

Yeah, my main concern is recovering from a corrupted or bad flash;   because at least I can be back up and running,   not stuck completely rebuilding/reconfiguring a server with all the services this one currently hosts.  I could use an RPi for the simple things (web redirects, VPN, etc.), but in no way are my game, tracking or other services going to work on that thing all at once.... so many of my services would be offline until I could get a replacement machine.

If you search for it, its the only custom ROM out there for an R5400 to accept an x5460
The funny thing is it took me hours and hours to figure out how to just flash the damned .HDR file itself;  not use the dell .exe utility or BIOS firmware updater.
When I pulled a copy of the A10 rom out of the BIOS in Ubuntu;  I knew I could flash the file... but I never hit the button to do so;  as I have had issues in the past personally.    If I had a comparable machine to take place of this one if it goes bad.... well;  I would have just done it.... but If this doesn't work;  I am literally pooched and would have a mountain of work to get things back to where that machine is right now (not to mention trying to source a machine on the quick to take its place when I have zero cash to spend on such things ATM).

I'm amazed it did so well with only 2Gb of ram all these years..... would really be nice to have the second CPU and better cpu's so I can put all of my RAM intensive services on that one machine instead of separate machines as they are now.... each of those machines are just enough to do what they are doing only.

If someone knows of an inexpensive USB adapter with a chip clip that would be good for use on this machine, please do tell.   I know they can be had for under $20 somewhere.... but would be nice to know i'm getting the right part.   If I got one;  Id manually pull the ROM, do a binary compare on the dell original ROM before flashing anyways....      I have a reason to be pretty cautious when it comes to things sometimes.
