1801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can't MetaMask be trusted from now on? on: March 21, 2022, 02:32:52 AM
This proves that MetaMask wasn't a decentralized app since its lunch and that it can be controlled by a centralized power.

Looks like you misunderstood the Metamask problem here, you better read the responses of some of the members above or read the full news. This also only happens on the ETH network, not with other networks. The only solution is to replace it with an alternative RPC or run your own local node, then your Metamask will be decentralized again. Find alternative RPC here: https://rpc.info. There are some RPC server that may not be listed, please use google search.

1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If there is a cryptocurrency that gives more to good people would you invest in on: March 20, 2022, 02:04:07 PM
I think you confuse investor with donor or philanthropist.
I actually have a different understanding of what "good people" mean here, maybe it is an investor or trader with an amazing portfolio.
Unfortunately, I don't have the standards of a "good guy" even though it's as good as a portfolio in their judgment. I just don't want to turn to hate when my results are the opposite. Investment decisions should be more independent and should be dominated by self-research rather than the influence of others.
1804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins will explode in 2022? on: March 20, 2022, 01:31:54 PM
Can you tell me more? I am not able to buy IOTA on Kraken.

Iota isn't yet listed on kraken and may not be interested in listing it, but nowadays there are many alternative exchanges to buy it. Check here https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/iota/markets
Please read the user terms first, some exchanges may apply KYC to withdraw assets.
1805  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: more phishing likely - never click a link instead save the URL on: March 20, 2022, 12:14:06 PM
But...
Imagine you have account with Binance. You have not KYCed you account. An email from binance official (email containing the domain name binance.com. For example xyz@binance.com) asking your to KYC your account and to do that they have given a link button in the email. They also said if you do not do it immediately then they will freeze your assets. What would you do?

For me, that's easy to realize. My habit is that I won't log into any account on 2 or more different devices.
If that link redirects me to the Binance page in the logged in state, I'll check a few other subpages especially the notifications and withdrawal history page before I assume it's really not phishing.
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am big fan of SHIBA on: March 19, 2022, 04:25:46 AM
What are the specific costs?

If you mean future transaction fees, it depends on your own perspective and the network base of the tokens you hold. Shiba is based on the main ETH network, be careful if you hold it token-enclosed on other networks. Long-term Holding in a centralized wallet is also not recommended.
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks in Ukraine Restrict Clients from Buying Bitcoin using Ukrainian hryvnia on: March 19, 2022, 04:06:53 AM
I guess the reason is obvious,
Accordingly, PrivatBank is trying to "keep financial stability under martial law."

perhaps because PrivateBank don't want more UAH supplies to flow to overseas services in the midst of a crisis and hope other local banks will take similar steps as a more significant precaution. The latest government policy will generate enthusiasm for Ukrainian citizens to buy bitcoin anywhere including on global exchanges.
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrencies eliminate the need for credit/debit cards in the future? on: March 19, 2022, 03:11:25 AM
Profit takers in the financial sector won't stop chasing users of conventional financial services. I used to think that there would be no lending services other than those offered by certain banks and agencies, and as it seems today that is very much possible in cryptocurrencies. Likewise C/D Cards, this service will gradually adopt blockchain technology so that customers stay at hand.
1809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Hoard Bitcoin? on: March 19, 2022, 02:40:09 AM
Bitcoin is still dominated by investors rather than users who take advantage of the use of bitcoin. Otherwise, you may need to observe bitcoiners with different attitudes or habits.
"Hoarding" in this case can also mean they don't actually store in a personal wallet. Assuming some bitcoiners use a centralized service to spend bitcoins, they unknowingly accumulate the amount of bitcoins stored in the wallet of that service.
1810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto based VPN on: March 18, 2022, 03:13:53 PM
No, i mean a VPN that is shared by ownership of an underlying currency. There were a few projects a few years back, but I can't remember the names and I don't know if they succeeded.
That's also nothing afaik. If anything, it's definitely a project focused on the internet and anonymity with a not-so-exact functionality concept. For example, I just checked Brave Browser has launched a separate VPN+Firewall product, but apparently it only supports IOS devices. Brave added this new product since July 2020.
1811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is Coinweb good investment ? on: March 18, 2022, 01:13:43 PM
Coinweb issues a multi-chain based token which is actually not the first time I've seen this kind of project. As far as I can see on the price chart, this token was dropped by almost -80% of the laucbh price and seems unable to reverse at least close to its initial trading price on the exchange.

Their partners are quite well known, but not enough as a basis for considering this project will produce good performance in the future. They mostly only support in terms of marketing and funding.

On a Mission to spread the crypto revolution by crypto clothing

I even just heard of this brand which I don't think is related to cryptocurrency, how will people understand that you're socializing about crypto with your design that only has a logo on it?

Wouldn't you like to consider prime printing with a design that is more in line with the slogan.
1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finding new exchange tokens on: March 17, 2022, 02:32:33 PM

Take a look to YellowMoon exchange (YellowMoon.one). I had brief good experience with them

Although I'm more than convinced that you're the only yellow moon shiller here, consider me in the mind of the average person: How can I believe that it's a safe and great service just from hearing other people's fleeting experiences? Or conversely, how can I confidently recommend a particular service person based on superficial experience?
1815  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips needed in Identifying a fake web Address on: March 17, 2022, 01:54:59 PM

To build on this, it's better to visit all critical websites via your browser's bookmarks or by typing the complete url address into the address bar, rather than searching on search engines. Not only is this more secure, this method is also generally faster.

Alternatively, you can visit the majority of your critical sites via the Google Chrome bookmarklet (launcher). Click the 'save' button to create a new bookmark on your desktop that opens the destination web page.

There is a "URL history" feature which actually reduces the bookmarking function and almost all browser apps support it. Tbh, I don't save too many bookmarks for a long time on my mobile.
In phishing attacks that are commonly spread on emails and social media PMs, scammers often add subpage urls of the site in such a way (eg to promo pages) that it can be a point of attention rather than checking the domain first.
1816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STOPWAR ($STOP) Token | stopwar.foundation | Presale on: March 17, 2022, 03:42:10 AM
~snip~
Yeah mate, I also saw their photos deleted, thanks for pointing that out.

1) The entire purpose of crypto is to remain anonymous but the team decided to go through a KYC process to ensure potential investors that there's no "scam" or "rug pull" intention.
In case of "scam" or "rug-pull" they(audit techrate) will just publish our details (full names, passports, videos of us saying that we're responsible in case of rug pull).
Your audit document says that "At the time of the audit, there was no information on KYC/doxx implementation." No KYC here.

2) We should be more transparent about our team and we will do our best to do so.
Allright, now show me where I can see your faces.

3) Our team decided to send the money raised for charity straight to the Binance charity wallet in order to prove that the work being done is 100% legit.
This way, all the money will be immediately given to Binance who, in turn, will offer them to those in need in Ukraine.  Binance will OBVIOUSLY not support the war, they will donate all the money to the humanitarian aid / red cross.
How will you know that this war will last long?? Is there a clairvoyant in one of your team??

Please don't be negative, try to be productive and helpful instead.
One of my forms of productivity is saving donors' money from suspicious charitable projects like this  Tongue

Edit:

I researched more about "AuditRateTech", and as I suspected the audit service you chose was bullshit. A honeypot project passed this service audit.
What kind of Audit u people are doing? Ur audited DevilPunks ran away will all our money. And we can't sell our fuckin tokens. We are honeypotted. What kind of codes u r checking? Stop fooling people in the name of ur expertise and audit. U all are the same.
And another review about "AuditRateTech" (Redflag). I'll assume you haven't audited here, and your project is...

Obviously a scam.. Roll Eyes

Obviously a scam.. Roll Eyes

This is a trash project owned by unscrupulous developers. No project of any kind can interfere with or affect the political interests of a country. And it's clear the goal of these shit developers is simply to attract charities for war victims. From my understanding of charity, such a contribution should not expect any return let alone make a profit.

1818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: That is why play to earn concept is a massive failure on: March 16, 2022, 04:56:47 AM
It's not just the quality of the graphics or the price of the NFT that is reliable, the foundation of a strong game is the large number of communities and abundant players. A common selling strategy used by the P2E industry is whitelisting which limits the growth of their own ecosystem. This only gives new established players a chance (from other games). Many developers are not aware that they're not the only ones trying to develop in this industry and these players aren't aiming to stay, but always moving to more profitable places.
1819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand or know the whale's next move? on: March 16, 2022, 03:56:20 AM
Is there somewhere where the whales get together and talk about investment plans that lead to a joint decision? It's kind of ridiculous, but haven't recently some artists really netted them into the VIP discord group by offering NFTs as wealth level status to investors?
1820  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I have learned so Far on: March 16, 2022, 03:36:07 AM
OP, you're neglecting something important to learn. You shared your first crypto experience in 2015 which was even earlier than I started. I guess you've learned a lot since then, until I found out you were being scammed into cheap power generation via fiat transfer. This means that until this moment you've not reached one important lesson point "How to recognize fraud and avoid it" which will save you from the crime of the crypto space, which is even bigger.

Actually the achievement of having learned how to adapt in a forum is not an important thing to share. Tongue
