1601  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to crypto - Trading fees? on: November 11, 2022, 12:02:42 PM
Several exchanges provide tax reporting simulation tools for users such as binance and crypto.com. Haven't tried it so far, but I'm sure it's been adjusted according to each country's local tax settings.

Or use a tax calculator website like Koinly.io (they happen to have an office in the UK).

What about news aggregators? https://cryptopanic.com

Will get a more specific news summary if you use the search field.
1603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Principles of Bitcoin on: November 11, 2022, 05:30:23 AM
This is why I keep repeating this mantra: do not use an exchange if you want to truly control your BTC! And, as we have seen in this example, local wallets are indeed the safest option.

But is it really possible to not use and exchange?  How can you convert your Bitcoin to cash then?  Or how can you buy Bitcoin with your cash if you do not use an exchange?  Isn't it too much to advise people to not use an exchange and isn't it much better to advise them to not leave their cryptocurrency in an exchange nor use it as a wallet in keeping our cryptocurrency?

It means using exchanges to control the ownership of assets without any limits, exchanges still has some terms of use that are against the principle. It's not always wrong to use exchanges, traders have even stronger reasons than long-term holders. Selling bitcoins for cash means that you'll release your bitcoins from control afterward, so this is a different use case.
1604  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop justify stealing exchangers Are responseble on: November 11, 2022, 05:01:29 AM
If i hold in bank my money and bank will take it i lose money it's stealing.
Isn't that the same on exchanges, and in most cases exchanges suspend user accounts with subjective accusations not even mentioning ToS. Exchanges are actually more free to take your funds, because to get them back you've to do complicated things at a cost that isn't worth it.

If exchangers lose then they need to have insurance If no insurance then get out of the business.
FTX doesn't behave transparently about insurance, that's why the service is on the verge of collapse and leaves almost all of their users worried.
1605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchangers Are safer then Banks and wallets on: November 10, 2022, 03:38:49 PM
@OP, what was your worst experience from a bank? Afaik, banks are closer to government oversight and they're more responsible for your money.
One case binance may consider you to retract your remarks[1]. Binance in some clauses follows the rules of crypto mechanisms in general such as transactions are irreversible, withdrawal speed depends on network traffic, etc.

1606  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Were we just kids or have times changed? on: November 10, 2022, 09:25:06 AM
I don't think that kids will aspire to be rich with a clear picture, so they won't think much about adult stuff even 1 billion national fiat money. Maybe they just want to spend the money on their short-lived pleasure, instead of thinking about keeping the wealth long term.

Children and adults have their own capacity to define "rich" and yep, it's a matter of time.
1607  Economy / Economics / Re: Loan IS key to wealth here is how without liability on: November 10, 2022, 09:08:16 AM
make you rich without risks

Make you rich without risk? haha.
You're late to be born, rich people compete with each other and that is their risk. You hate risk means you hate the challenge of getting rich.
Never ignore the potential risk when you're dealing with other people let alone you bet your trust in them.
1608  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I talked with very smart person he told me about crypto people need to know on: November 09, 2022, 06:46:34 AM
That's why binance always will reinburse losses in crypto.
Nope, they're just doing what they can. There comes a point where they'll (perhaps)only care about their own problems and go bankrupt. The volume of global crypto is greater than you think which just one company can't afford.

I wait when binance will start refund atleast some money If i lose on futures trading or paying money for most Active future traders.
They only refund the loss from their system error, not from the customer's side. Your profit, your risk.
1609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of not letting others know about your crypto holdings on: November 09, 2022, 06:21:49 AM
The rules of the game are quite clear in this space, "you're the sole determinant of the extent to which your privacy is maintained". However, because some people think that wealth is a pride that must be shown, they don't pay much attention to it, especially since the crime rate isn't too high in their area.
1610  Other / Meta / Re: The Reason why you chose your username on: November 09, 2022, 06:13:34 AM
Tbh, I don't want my current username because it was generated from random thoughts, is there any particular privilege to change username without waiting long or at least remove some characters? I saw some users managed to change theirs without waiting long, and some just waiting for an uncertain application.
1611  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Website with 15+ million products to shop with Bitcoin and 150+ cryptocurrencies on: November 09, 2022, 05:46:55 AM
So how does it work from your side? It is clear that you're not a seller here and don't have a full guarantee of the condition of the product sent. Just wondering how to resolve the dispute between the customer and the genuine seller. Or how to make sure that you order the product from the merchant I'm interested in from the AliExpress website, not from another merchant (bts)?

^^
In general contests, proven rule violators will be disqualified and that's normal. In this case, the contest organizer has full authority and no one'll interfere. But whatever your final decision, I personally respect that.

Talent isn't really needed, obeying the rules is mandatory.

~

When noticing a new account immediately finding the official thread and writing satisfaction is adding to the point of suspicion. Just reminding the @OP that if you hire a shill service or create multiple accounts to write reviews, it won't do any good. I hope I'm wrong.

1616  Economy / Services / Re: BitSwapNow.com Review Campaign on: November 07, 2022, 02:10:47 PM
When I sell crypto for fiat (ETH to EUR), it says that the maximum exchange rate is (eg) 1.2533274 on the alert, and when it is clicked then another alert will appear with a different maximum exchange rate. I clicked three times so in the end it failed to fetch the current amount (showing "- EUR"; see photo). I think you don't set a tolerance range for exchange rates even just a few cents, while you always take the latest price every new input.

1618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [INFO] Currency of Freedom - bitcoin discussion by BLOCK + HRF on: November 07, 2022, 08:43:39 AM
BLOCK apparently held online discussions with HRF[1], on the main topic of bitcoin. Looks like it will be an interesting discussion.

We achieved an average transaction speed of 5 minutes to ensure you don't waste any time.
What guarantees it will keep running for 5 minutes when network traffic is high?

What's this for?
