1321  Economy / Reputation / Re: Playnoam Collected KYC DATA and Scam Hunters on: February 16, 2023, 10:43:25 AM
If they cannot afford to pay hunters and cannot keep promise, why they run bounty program. If the price dump is issue then they can send Eth at half price at least but 4$ for 200$ is just nonsense.
You forgot again that what the hunters are chasing is an essentially worthless payment. Teams mint their tokens out of nothing. What stupid excuse do you think makes the team spend even half of the ESTIMATED prize pool in another coin that clearly has a price. Re-read my previous reply about the dump, even I'm not sure if it's a real price (no fake trading involvement from the team).

What will be your reaction when you have given 4$ for signature after one month and promised reward was 200$?
I'll carefully investigate how it happened and who is to blame. Tongue
1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin DCA - always same amount or do you change depending on price? on: February 16, 2023, 10:15:50 AM
DCA's function is primarily to pay less attention to price due to the uncertainty of where the market will go next, therefore you do it regularly.

I feel I have a great average currently but now that it has shot up to $24,600 buying now will increase my average price quite a lot.
So the question is, what if the decline will be at a higher price range? That's the advantage of DCA. Buying on the next decline (if at the same price range) will decrease the average price back if you take a chance.
1323  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 16, 2023, 09:48:06 AM
Living together or separately doesn't matter, and I know even within one country the culture differs in every region. Everything just depends on the awareness and support of both parties, parents and children. A difficult condition to decide, you wanna live separately but your parents dont support you because of worries about their old age. Or your parents want you to live independently, but you need more time until you're really ready.
1324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Check my advertising tips about Bitcoin and criticize it. on: February 16, 2023, 09:26:17 AM
Ok, all messy. You didn't pass.
Wouldn't you rather summarize what you've learned so far so that everyone corrects your misunderstanding? Don't be too confident teaching people while you just learned last night. Keep in mind you're dealing with people's real money around you.

coming soon 18th-19th of March 2023 Host by my humble self and my team.
That fast? postpone this event until next year.
1325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think it will be good to advertised bitcoin and crypto currency in out blog pa on: February 16, 2023, 09:06:04 AM
Speaking today all information is very accessible, it is impossible to imagine that today's users have never even heard of the term bitcoin in any ins and outs they explore every corner of cyberspace. However, actually, bitcoin can be seen from various perspectives. Volatility and regulation are common in most articles about bitcoin, you only need to explain bitcoin sides which are rarely detailed in most of these articles. This way will probably get more exposure.
1326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I made my first $2000 through stock marketing on: February 15, 2023, 03:02:18 PM
If you think you're satisfied with the results of your stock trading, then continue and don't stop with your busy life since 1 year ago. It doesn't matter, after all bitcoin has come to a point of glory much higher than it was 12 years ago. $1k may not be a significant increase in market cap even if you enter. Tongue
1327  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto makes you more attractive, according to a new survey on: February 15, 2023, 09:07:33 AM
Quote
Approximately 83% of participants said liking crypto was an “attractive feature in a relationship,” while 70% said they would be more inclined to go on a date with someone if they found out they were interested in crypto.

Crypto and romance are not very related, and it is better not to be related at all if anyone is planning to embark on a romance journey and hopes to meet someone with a passion for crypto.
A statistical summary[1] that cases of crypto fraud that take advantage of Valentine's Day have continued to increase in the last 2 years.

Beware of Valentine’s Day romance fraud, UK online daters told

The charity, the UK’s biggest provider of services for victims of crime, is circulating a warning to online daters after a 38% rise in the number of romance fraud victims being supported by its services. Its supported 322 victims in 2022, up from 233 in 2021.
So far, there are still no reports for the latest Valentine's day.

But i don't think there is any need for translation as my country is an English speaking country and the thread basically was written by me in English. All users in my local board i guess can fully understand English and thats why i thought i should ask since there is no need for any translation of the thread in my local board.

Definitely not allowed, unless all Nigerian users can't reach a thread on the global board. What would you like to expect from creating two threads with the same content? In essence, you'll only get identical responses. Also this adds to the negative presumptions from other users.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 15, 2023, 05:36:59 AM
I had connections to people who worked at CMC throughout 2019 and recommended 2-3 projects to be listed there that met the requirements as before (at least listed on 2 exchanges). A few months later I no longer work with them, because apparently they changed the rules exclusively. Some projects that have even been launched for only 1 week (especially shitcoin) without any clear progress have the privilege to be listed with an "untrackable" mark.
1330  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto aid for Turkey exceeds $4.5M in one week on: February 15, 2023, 05:23:40 AM
Is it possible that crypto based donations carry a significant advantage over gofundme and other platforms which denominate only in single currencies of fiat?
Raising crypto-based donations has proven to be efficient from all sides, especially for natural disasters which definitely require as much emergency financial injection as possible. Besides being able to reach unlimited donors at all levels, the donations collected will be realized more quickly.

This should be used as an emergency solution by the government in any country.
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else getting deflated with the bitcoin naysayers? on: February 15, 2023, 04:58:26 AM
Their skepticism is mostly the result of past frustrations about several financial systems that have failed, in general it's all just offering get-rich-quick schemes.
Yeah, they may choose to close their minds to any new financial terminology next, even if it's completely different technically. However you don't have to indoctrinate them, you have to get used to opposing opinions.
1332  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Phishing email from Namecheap on: February 15, 2023, 04:46:50 AM
I wonder how a hacker could hack into a well-known service provider's email and still use it for the kind of scam a school kid could think of?

That sounds impossible. But like most scammers in general they'll cast as many lines as they can. With the varying levels of security awareness of namecheap's customers, some of those who are also related to the crypto space may fall into this scam attempt.

This time maybe this scammer came out a little cool with that email domain, whereas before they could only use email forwarders that were automatically filtered to the spam folder.
1333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have always wanted to ask this about bitcoin on: February 14, 2023, 05:54:12 PM
Volatility isn't a characteristic, it is an effect of the evidence that bitcoin's utility works. Hal Finney was the first bitcoin enthusiast and ofcourse he got some for free from the founder instead of buying. Have you ever thought what attracted him to bother helping satoshi test the network when bitcoin had 0 volatility (worthless).

Volatility is the reason most people buy bitcoin, but that doesn't mean there aren't other reasons. Bitcoin isn't only profitable financially.
1334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid altcoins and shitcoins because they cannot be stored personally. on: February 14, 2023, 12:21:58 PM
particularly the role played by the Bitcoin blaockchain in other cryptocurrencies' strong security.
If you also categorize altcoins as crypto, at least you learn what characteristic requirements are attached to them.
In summary, cryptocurrency (not limited to bitcoin) must:
Quote
only Bitcoin could be stored in non-custodial wallets
- transferable anywhere that far within a single blockchain including the few wallets you mentioned that support it;
Quote
why should we buy other coins or tokens where we don't have full control
- self-controllable: you also have full control rights depending on where you save it;
Quote
just because exchanges give us half power over our investments
- decentralized: power is not only held by a single entity but is spread unless for the reasons above you surrender part or all of that power to a service.

Several other characteristics also really need to be considered such as the basis of the blockchain algorithm, transparency, supply etc.
1335  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🥧 1st edition - Bitcointalk Pie Baking Contest 🥧 on: February 14, 2023, 06:49:39 AM
      • Only 1 entry per user (you're free to include any number of pies on your picture);
      .....
      • No minimum entries for the contest to run;

      These 2 rules are somewhat confusing, in my understanding they're contradictory. cmiiw
      Also, are participants allowed to recreate work? (i hope not)

      Just looked at their ratings on review sites [1], taken 2 samples[2][3] that have the most reviews.

      All reviews between the both sites are almost submitted on the same date. A catchy coincidence.

      I've seen faster responses.
      Well, that reminds me of a phenomenon a few years ago on the B&H board. (I forgot the username)

      Because I work on office, my boss always control my jobs and stop behind me to watch my top left avatar, luckily he doesn't understand crypto.

      What if it's best, don't open your privacy profile pages using office facilities? Maybe that will save you from getting fired. Be careful if your boss is a woman, they're more sensitive about hiding things even when forums have a "hide your avatar" feature.
      1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helped my neighbor to purchase some Bitcoins on: February 13, 2023, 12:37:33 PM
      He asked me why not just leave the coin on Binance so that when ever he wants to sell it, he can just use the same method; that's when I brought to his notice "Not your key, not your coin," and he was convinced.
      For some reason, I wouldn't lead idealistic thinking toward newcomers. I'm certainly not against the general rule of thumb of the self-custody wallet concept, just don't wanna be the one to blame one day especially talking about the rather high transaction fees that most newcomers aren't completely okay with. Teaching the advantages and rikss of each holding method may be better first, then letting them make their choice.
      1339  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: in my opinion don't buy crypto at high prices on: February 13, 2023, 12:17:56 PM
      and I often laugh when I see people buying crypto when the price is going up,

      I also laughed at reading this, if everyone has thoughts like you, how did bitcoin in your opinion at that time touch the "high price"? Bitcoin went up due to buying action everywhere. You're not completely eliminating the risk of losses even if you bought at a low price (from your perspective). So I'dn't gonna laugh at anyone buying bitcoins in any market situation.

        still under my consideration at next year's forum awards event. But pls don't ask her to prove what a real girl she is by asking for photos of her recent activities with the baby.  Grin
