If India needs to win the match or to have an advantage in the match Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane needs to play a longer innings and they are the most accomplished players in the Indian team. The openers started well but they were not able to capitalize the start they got and lost their wickets. The pitch looks like helping the batsman but i was surprised when Australia lost quick wickets and the star of the day was Ravindra Jadeja.
For India to have an upper hand in the match Pujara and Rahane needs to perform but the problem is that Cheteshwar Pujara is under immense pressure to perform as he was not in good touch and if he can overcome that then it will help the team. Wish there is no more rain interruption if not we might not even see a result in this match.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: January 08, 2021, 05:57:50 PM
He hasn't return in professional boxing yet, but if ever he will return, he will make a lot of money as long as Manny is still active fighting, but I think he won't beat Manny anymore so better if he will just stay fighting in exhibition fight.
You can speculate how the result would be if they ever have a rematch, Manny Pacquiao will gladly take the fight if Floyd Mayweather shows any kind of interest for the fight as it will be one of the biggest PPV and both of these fighters will make a ton of money but Floyd is not interested for the rematch and no one would question his legacy as the greatest defensive boxer of all time.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 08, 2021, 04:36:44 PM
Khabib might be there to support his cousin hehe. Conor should trash talk if he wins hehehe.
Conor McGregor will be finding ways to troll Khabib Nurmagomedov and i am expecting him to start trashing him during the media day and from what i understand Khabib Nurmagomedov is still in the UAE and he might be coming for the fights but i expect Khabib Nurmagomedov might avoid the confrontation and will stay away from the event as he knows the UFC will try anything to put together the rematch.

Rain is playing a factor in this match, when Australia looked like they had a momentum in the match because of the top order performance, rain is pouring in to delay the proceedings and i wont be surprised if the match ends up in a draw as India have a good batting line up considering the pitch is not helping the bowlers.

Edit: The match started again.
1805  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin ever succeed as a currency on: January 07, 2021, 09:17:15 PM
So far, I have seen the price of bitcoin which is already this expensive and has a very limited supply, making me believe that the demand for bitcoin is very high and it has been proven that until now bitcoin is in great demand and is widely used by various platforms in terms of technology and usage.
The demand as a speculative market is really high as we are already seeing companies converting their assets to bitcoin and some institutional investors having huge bitcoin portfolios and most of the exchange should cut down the transaction fees they levy if they are looking for new investors considering the price has rallied to exceptionally high levels but for bitcoin to succeed as a currency there is a very long way to go.
1806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING - Market Cap hits $1 Trillion on: January 07, 2021, 07:26:18 PM
A great milestone for the entire market, we were close to this magical figures in the last rally when the bitcoin touched its all time high valuation but it fell short at around $800 billion but this rally was a bit early than the rest of the time and the valuation of bitcoin touched $40k which is double the valuation than the all time high bitcoin hit last time and still looking strong to move higher.
1807  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: January 07, 2021, 03:08:32 PM
5-6 years back (i.e 2015-16), the exchange rate of Bitcoin was around $200 per coin. I am not quite sure what would be the target of the users who invested back then, but I guess for most of them it would be around $1000 in 2-3 years time. Also, only a few of the investors back then are still holding the majority of their coins. I have spoken to a few, and most of them have already cashed out.
I was fortunate enough to enter bitcoin and other major alts pretty early but i never had no idea that the price of bitcoin would touch the valuation we have right now this fast, i was expecting this valuation but not in 2020/ 2021 and hence looking at the rally i am surprised and i wonder what the valuation will be a few months from now and all the speculation about the price crossing hundred thousand looks a real possibility looking at the current rally.
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price After Lawsuit? on: January 07, 2021, 11:46:48 AM
I don't think it is XRP is done until the court state the final verdict and XRP losses the case.  As of now, it is either win or lose for XRP but yes, many holders had been jumping ship now, avoiding the possible huge losses when the ripple team is found guilty.
Some of the major investors dumped the coins this year before the SEC comes out with the lawsuit and i am surprised that the market is still moving up after the lawsuit even though news comes out that one of the co founder selling over $200 millions till last month and he might be dumping further and there are exchanges planning or already delisted the trading and yet the price has risen 39% today which is crazy.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 07, 2021, 06:13:29 AM
Finally Australia is able to create a good partnership and shout outs to Rishabh Pant from the entire Australian cricket fans for helping them by dropping catches  Grin. Will Pucovski finally made his debut and hopefully he will convert to a big century and hopefully Steve Smith returns to form and score big. Rain interrupted in the morning session and hopefully we will not have any further delays in the next four days.
1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 04, 2021, 10:32:34 PM
I'd like to see them fight again, but Khabib really doesn't seem into it. That money might come in handy for his own UFC promotion thing he's doing though so why not go all out for his 30th fight. The McGregor/Poirier fight shouldn't be for a belt. Neither of them deserve it right now. Maybe the winner could fight Khabib for it if Dana can manage to persuade him to return (though Khabib beat Poirier in 2019).
If you look at the career of Khabib Nurmagomedov he never had a rematch in his entire career because he wins in dominant fashion and hence there is no question about a rematch but considering the hype and the amount of money the UFC could make i am sure Dana White will always try to persuade that rematch but Khabib is clear about his proposal as he will return only to fight GSP.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 04, 2021, 09:28:33 PM
Tim Paine has underperformed in test cricket. His test batting average is just 32.20 and the only test player with a regular slot in the playing XI with a lower average (as far as I can remember) is Temba Bavuma of South Africa. A 36-year old with sub-40 batting average in test? I think some younger player deserves that slot.
Tim Paine is in the team because of his experience and a keeper after Steve Smith and Warner were suspended which shows that they do see foresee anyone in the team that could handle the leadership role and CA always go with non controversial captains. I still think Shane Warne could have being the best captain because of his tactical skills but they never gave him an opportunity because of his outlandish character outside cricket.

I don't think Australia has got any legendary Wicket-keeper batsmen after Gilchrist. Brad Haddin was good but nowhere near Gilchrist.
It is hard to find a replacement for Adam Gilchrist or Ian Healy who were considered as the best to ever play the game and that is the situation with India and Sri Lanka as they will not find a replacement for MS Dhoni or Kumar Sangakkara.

If that's what your impression was, then I was right about him cause there's no way he will fight for the fans and don't give them what they wanted other than him giving us a hype base fight which will only fetch him money.
If he dont fight Pacman now he will only fight him in an exhibition fight just like Tyson and Ray.
Just look at the fighting career of Floyd Mayweather, he was avoiding Manny Pacquiao for a long time and then came to an agreement to fight Manny when he thought he will be retiring after the fight as he knew that it could be a big money fight and the fans finally had the opportunity to watch that fight after almost a decade of wanting to see them fight and Mayweather recently said he will not fight Manny again in a professional bout.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: January 04, 2021, 03:37:01 PM
I agree with the statement from Jake Paul, the younger brother of Logan Paul, it seems that his brother was careless in choosing his boxing opponent.
Even boxing legend Mike Tyson warned of the horror of Floyd Mayweather Jr. Even Conor McGregor and Tenshin Nasukawa were defeated by Mayweather.
This is a battle whose outcome is already known, there was no way Logan Paul could beat Mayweather. I don't know if Logan Paul is looking for popularity
or if he is overconfident.
It just proves that Jake Paul and Mike Tyson is promoting the fight, every kid who watches boxing knows that Floyd Mayweather does not have the power to knockout anyone  Cheesy. I admire the defensive boxing skills of Mayweather and he is the best in the history of boxing to display that level of skills but for Tyson to warn about the horrors is funny  Cheesy.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell WBC Lightweight Interim Title (January 2) on: January 04, 2021, 12:42:20 PM
Not a close fight as far as the judges are concern. Just look at the official score card.
According to the judges Ryan Garcia won the first third till sixth round 10 to 9 and Luke Campbell winning the second round 10 to 8, you cannot always trust the judges and i thought the fourth round was also close and i gave the round to Luke Campbell as Garcia was swinging wildly and missing many shots and Campbell was able to connect a clean shot to the head that rocked Garcia.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 04, 2021, 10:33:42 AM
The way i see it, world cricket going through some phase of average batting from every single team but not bowling.
If you look at the modern day batsman they are struggling if there is some movement from the pitch and to make Test matches interesting and to avoid draws the pitches are made that offers some assistance to the bowlers as well while the shorter format pitches are flat and so is the reason these batsman are able to make big runs.

I expect New Zealand to take the first innings lead, but there is still no guarantee about it.
New Zealand just trail by 11 runs and they only lost 3 wickets, until and unless Pakistan bowlers produce some magical spells they will take a lead of around 150 to 200 runs.
1816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just smashed through $30k on: January 04, 2021, 10:09:47 AM
What is going on with Ethereum? It has went up by 30% during the last 24 hours. Now ETH is well past the historic resistance level of BTC0.03 per coin. Most of the other altcoins are up by anywhere from 15% to 25%, including Litecoin, Polkadot, Bitcoin Cash and Cardano. And the Bitcoin dominance has decreased from 72% to 69% in a matter of few hours. Are these trends going to hold?
The ETH 2.0 is the reason for the rally and it is yet to reach its all time high valuation while bitcoin smashed through its all time high valuation and was rallying for a very long time and it is time to have a small correction and lets see how long this will hold, whether investors will be jumping in to invest again.

I was waiting for a correction in bitcoin and i was surprised to see that it went down 9% today while the alts gained and i am curious to see how the market will react in the next few days.
1817  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin a deep pullback @40K? on: January 04, 2021, 02:24:30 AM
There is a saying that whatever goes up most come down. Some traders predicted a pullback @30K but got smashed. Can we see a pullback @40k?
Let have you thought on this...
It is hard to predict how the market will react, i was expecting a correction when it touched the all time high valuation, we had a minor correction but then investments starts pouring in and the market recovered swiftly and then it crossed $30k with ease and all this happened within a few trading days and i have no idea how long this rally will continue and what will be the market situation a few months from now. All you can do is speculate how far the market will move upwards and when we will see a correction.
1818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex delisting XMR, DASH and ZEC. Will this affect Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2021, 11:59:45 PM
I think it will not have an important influence on bitcoin price movements because so far bitcoin has a cryptocurrency platform that cannot be controlled by anyone and for altcoins that have been removed from the list of coins on the exchange are altcoins that have problems with regulation.
If the privacy coins are delisted in many exchanges then the investors will cash out huge amounts and then divert those to bitcoin and it will help the price of bitcoin while the price of rest of the coins will go down drastically. After the SEC verdict the price of XRP went down drastically but the price recovered a bit but these situation will hurt the coins during a time when the entire market was supposed to rally.

It is interesting to see how the developers will deal with this situation and this year is interesting as we will see many twist and turns in the entire market.

1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 03, 2021, 11:29:08 PM
Ellyse Perry is like the equivalent of Steve Smith in the Australian women's team. I really doubt whether she would have been this much successful, if she was playing for any of the other countries. Cricket Australia takes good care of it's women's team, unlike other boards such as the BCCI and the PCB. There are a lot of talented female cricketers in India, but they never get the same amount of opportunities.
Ellyse Perry is a superstar in Australia and her debut at the age of 17 was a celebrated one because she played for the Australian national soccer team before entering cricket and she is a highly talented all round player and she was forced to select one sport and hence she choose cricket . I usually do not watch women's match but i usually watch the matches Australia woman is playing because of the level of standard they display especially T20.
1820  Economy / Economics / Re: Some Company are holding more than 10000 Bitcoin on: January 03, 2021, 10:35:18 PM

At some point in the future, those bitcoin will become liquid, they are institutional investors and hence they will definitely need their capital and profits when it's necessary. Thank goodness, bitcoin network is transparent and pseudonym in nature as all transactions can be trace from wallet to wallet.
As soon as institutions start moving their bags, this market wouldn't be funny.
That is the hard reality of this rally, you can speculate any valuation you want and when that happens on back on institutional investors investing heavily in an unregulated market and majority of them knew it as the best opportunity to make a huge profit when the rest of the markets are in a state of flux with the pandemic and when they plan to book their profits, the blood bath would be huge.

I think in the next year, many companies and institutions will adopt bitcoin, and many people will also join in bitcoin. They do not want to miss the chance to have a new investment type and a way to make money. Bitcoin price itself will still increase until reaching the next high peak, and we can wait for more and prepare our bitcoin to sell at that high price.
It is hard to expect casual investors planning to invest in bitcoin when the price is rallying in uncharted price rage as a correction from this stage would be devastating even though the market will recover eventually you cannot expect the time frame.
