I used paper wallet and I put on my vault. If your pc has no malware and trojan when you print paper wallets it would be the safest.

you can use https://www.bitaddress.org/ to create new paper wallet Smiley
sure it , best safety wallet with cheap cost

I do not know how to rally on a third party for paper wallet. It seems a completely new thing for me. I don't know how to get the QR code for over private key with the kind of service and how secure it is. If anyone share their experience with this site would be most useful.
Bitaddress.org is basically a script written for generation of paper wallet. It is open sourced and anyone can check and build it themselves. The first screen is basically used to increase the entropy for the generation of private key. It can also be done offline and printed out. To spend it, you can download mycelium wallet and use the spend cold storage feature. It supports BIP38 encryption too.
Do you need QR code for your paper wallet, or it is enough if you write down the private key _manually_ with pen on a plain A4 paper and after you laminate it? And put it into a safe afterwards, and later on if you need it, you just need to read ther private key from the paper? Can you use mycellium without QR for cold storage or it needs QR format anyway?
If you scan a QR code into mycellium, won't it remember for it after? How can I be sure that it does not store my privare key?

How long does it take to learn to count the cards in blackjack? Or a simple excel sheet is enough (if I play online)? I know the basics of blackjack but I'm not a master of it yet. I know that google can find tons of pages even youtube to teach how to play but I would like to know if there is any specific that I should know if I play online?

If I remember correctly, most (if not all) of the online Blackjack games reshuffle the decks after every hand. Counting cards does not help at all in this case.
Thanks. I wan not aware about this. It means that they shuffles the cards had already been played too, not just throwing them away? In this case you have equal chances in all rounds. Is this the practice in case of poker too, or in that case it doesn't matter because of the different rules?

Whats the plain bitcoin wallet? do you mean bitcoincore?

i think it is highly probably a paper wallet or a desktop wallet like bitcoincore, electrum and armory Smiley

Yes. Paper wallets are good when we considering online hacking. But we need to keep them safe from physical damages.
Bitcoin core and Armony need more resources for initial setup whereas Electrum is a light weight wallet, recommended for beginners.

What are the prices (roughly) of these cold hardware wallets? Is the cheapest for beginners, or the price doesn't reflect the security of it?
Do I think well that if you print a paper wallet, you can add funds to it while the paper is hidden somewhere, you only need to use the paper only if you want to spend from it?
1826  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most Secure bitcoin wallet ? on: October 30, 2015, 10:38:21 AM
I use XAPO's wallet for daily spending, just because of the debit card linked to it. I can pay directly from my bitcoin wallet, thru VISA's system. They have a so called cold storage as well (vault, and they say that it's insured somehow). But if I would have a really lots of bitcoin I would have use a phisical cold storage. I don't know if it would be paper wallet or Trezor kind, but I hope that in the near future I have to think about this dilemma Smiley

Well when these 2 services comes together i would use xapo too.
May i know what rates are when you try to withdraw the money at ATM.
I think that they charge additional fees (hidden fees), is the exchange rate different from coindesk bitcoin price?
I haven't try to withdraw money from ATM yet. As I understood from the official topic of XAPO here, they doesn't charge hidden fees. They only charge their official fee, which buils up some of their fee and the fee of the ATM network usage. The card issuer company has a dedicated page for this where you can check the actual fees per transaction. The rates are nearly the same like if you use your fiat card in a different bank's ATM.
I use only POS purchase in shops because it's really free.

well, i got 1 btc and lost 1.5 btc ? that's so pity
we can't stop gambling, because we will win first and got lose latter..
that is the strategy of gambling site to invite more  player in the site,  first you will win then later on you lost, so much better if you have self control in playing gambling.
No,he just got enough lucky to make some profit but in the end he couldnt compete house edge.
its not a trick its just simple house edge.
On short term, some of the people (lucky ones) can win, some of them lose. It is only interesting from the point of view of the single person, if he had won or not. The house edge is always there, doesn't matter if we talk about shortnor long term. So if you want to win, you should be quick enough not to let your profit get vanished by house edge on the long run.

I have read a bit in wikipedia about minesweeper and it is quite interesting. There are researches about minesweeper strategies, patterns and other cool stuff. It gives you hints how to start the game and how to recognize the patterns during the game.
It also highlights that in some cases you just can't predict the mine's proper location with any of the strategies or patterns, you have to guess. This is where luck comes in and this is why you just can't build a real gambling strategy on it.
So no magical trick or strategy for this too, unfortunately.

From the wording of your post, it seems to me you have been confused about two different games.
The one you described looks to be the Minesweeper game in Windows, in which you will be given hints on how many mines are in the surrounding squares. As you get more and more familiar with the "patterns of the number of mines in the surrounding", you will find it easy to locate the mines.
On the other hand, the game discussed in this thread is a completely different thing, in which the mines are always placed randomly with a provably fair system. There are no strategies nor patterns at all.

Thanks for the clarification. In this case this game is just equals (taking into consideration the chance to win or lose) to slots and dice etc. In this case you can't prepare for it, it is also pure luck based. Because of this, there should not be any strategy to win ot, defenately.
1829  Economy / Economics / Re: Mastercard and Visa are at all time highs while bitcoin is bubbling on: October 29, 2015, 10:30:00 PM
Deprecated assets can bump too. Guess what has a doomed future but is about to go high again? Exactly, oil.
The markets aren't rational. The only thing we know is, Bitcoin is programable money, and only what's programable and can evolve with times will be sustainable and have real growth. Even if all markets are manipulated including Bitcoin, there are higher reasons to believe in the future with a Bitcoind mindset than a oil or Visa mindset.

I don't know man, I find that approach pretty optimistic.

Assets that are "doomed" don't usually reach all time highs in the way there. I might be a pessimist, but with Russia looking to ban bitcoin transactions related to FIAT I feel like bitcoin's market has a total disconnect from the real world. Some Chinese exchanges are also pointing out that their recent increase in traffic could be related to a ponzi scheme, which I think is exaggerated to a big extent but can't be 100% fake.
What if some other countries also ban the bitcoin transactions? What was the reason in Russia? Lack of control? In China, most of the people was also involved in a state driven stock exchange hype where people were buying lots of shares as a kind of gambling. This lead to increase in price on the short term but after there was a big fall. I don't know if it can have any connection with the increased traffics of the bitcoin exchanges or not.

Why to earn real money if you can earn bitcoin? If you earn real money, where you can convert it to bitcoin for free? If you want to buy, as far as I know you usually can use bank transfer which costs much, or you can use methods complicated but maybe cheaper (like buying second life linden dollars by bank card and then exchange it to bitcoin)
What is the cheapest (and easyest)method to buy bitcoin for fiat?

I mean there are client on that site that are paying bitcoin, so it is not an issue he will pay me bitcoin to my bitcoin wallet, still even if you have bitcoin you will need to convert it with real cash because the majority of merchants like fastfood, drugstores, department store ect... isn't all bitcoins right?
I have a XAPO wallet and have got a debit card attached to it. When I use my debit card, it exchanges the exact amount of bitcoin to fiat and that's all. Merchants accept it because it's VISA and they don't know what is happening behind the scenes Smiley (and tjey don't care, even if they know, their business is with VISA, not XAPO).
I have tried only POS purchase but others said that you can withdraw money from ATM as well.
Maybe this can be a temporary solution until merchants start to accept bitcoin directly in the future.

I have tought about this too, but I feel like I would become too addicted to shopping and I would ruin my hard earned BTC gains, so I must stay frugal. I also like to know what's going on behind the scenes, I like to know the addresses specifically when im sending and receiving.
You're right, I am trying to restrict myself of using it frequently, because of the hard earned bitcoins, but sometimes I just buy a coke or something, just to be sure that the system is still working Smiley But if somehow I would get a monthly income in bitcoin, it would have been just normal to do the daily spendings with it. Until this happens, I just consider it as a possibility to spend bitcoin with, if needed.

1834  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: October 28, 2015, 11:20:43 PM
I think bitcoin will rise a few months before the halving, but drop a little as miners abandon bitcoin.

The unprofitable miners will fall away. I assume the truly professional operations have regular buys set up well away from any market so that would mean even less sell pressure than before.

I think that the first generation of miners will shut down.
The only miners that will remain in the mining world are the latest one.
Only 29.64% of total bitcoins are left to mine so the price normally should be increased.
What about transaction fees? Miners can get some bitcoin for processing transaction also. Does it not worth them to stay in business? As usage of bitcoin grows, there will be more and more transaction needs to be processed. Maybe the priority fee will be normal in some time because of the miners' capacities.

1836  Economy / Economics / Re: A noob question. on: October 28, 2015, 10:00:21 PM
And what about the miners' equipment? Today it doesn't worth to mine with graphical cards anymore, only with special equipment. If you mine the same time, use electricity, and you find half quantity of bitcoin, the price should increase to let miners stay in business.
What about transaction fees? Will they increase as well after the halving as well?

There is no need for the price to rise for the miners to stay in business. The miners will just switch off 50% of the miners.
And what about the transaction fees? If there will be 50% less miners, they have to process the same amount of transactions like before halving. Transaction fees should rise or the process time should get longer if transaction fees doesn't change.
Today if you want to urge your transaction you can choose priority fees or if you have time to wait you can choose economy fees, there is a difference that is noticeable already.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: October 28, 2015, 09:45:49 PM
I don't think any professional skills will make you win in gambling because at the end every one will lose to gambling house.

These professional skills can make you win for a short period. The gambler will lose in long term due to the house edge.
I dont think so, skill very need in gambling for short or long period
like poker you must have good skill and technic to win  Grin

I think they are talking about games with a house edge.  Poker doesn't have a house edge you are playing against other players.  even with great skill in poker you can still lose because of an unlucky hand or bad beat.  There are no games in gambling that don't require luck.
I think playing poker has a strategy, I can earn better on poker than dice but in the long term unlike playing dice.

No one is not saying it doesn't have strategy in poker.  I am simply saying that Poker even has luck in it.  You can play the best strategy in the world and still lose if someone gets a royal flush everytime.
Maybe in case of poker, the strategy can beat luck on the long run. It's possible that in very rare cases a royal flush pops up but the chance of it is really low. When the other doesn't have the royal flush but something lower, strategy wins.
It's really skill based game, in 95%. The rest 5% can be luck. But 5% luck and 100% luck makes difference when it's about your bitcoins.

1840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a difference between buying shares in the stock exchange and gambling? on: October 28, 2015, 11:56:47 AM
If you prepare for opening a position (analisys, research, etc) it doesn't matter how long you plan to leave the position open (daytrade, swing or long term) and if you use some stoploss method than it's not gambling. Daytrade is not only in forex market, you can buy and sell within a day on the stock market as well. So daytrade requires the same skills as long term trade or even better, because you have to react far more quickly to win, because of the narrower stop limits (on long term you can use bigger stops to catch the long term trends and not to be stopped by short term corrections meanwhile)
