The situation of Bangladesh team is getting very bad.  As days go by, they are losing their focus on the ball game.  It's all for the president, he's used to corruption everywhere.  If the president of the Bangladesh team is changed, everything will be fine.  But it needs a lot of time.  Bangladesh team will become stronger if the president is changed.

Firstly Bangladesh team was weak in test format. But their performances in T20s and ODIs were quite good. But now Bangladesh is very weak in all three formats. And I agree with you that their board president is responsible for the current situation of the Bangladesh team. He has been the president of BCB for a long time. But Bangladesh team is deteriorating instead of improving.

So far things are going good for Ireland. Both the openers Paul Stirling and Andy Balbirnie have given a solid start to the Ireland innings and they have scored 40 runs without any wicket loss. The required run rate at the moment is little over 8.5 but with wickets in hand, this is achievable.
Ireland would want this partnership to stay and make the target more within their reach.

Ireland is likely to win the first T20 match against Afghanistan. The pitch is basically batting-friendly. So Afghanistan could have been in the safe zone if they batted first and set a target of 200. A target of 169 runs is not enough on such a pitch. Ireland collected 53 runs in 6 overs without losing any wicket. Ireland needs 116 runs from 84 balls to win. As Ireland's batting line-up is strong, Ireland's chances of winning now seem more.
1843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth could take over BTC or not on: August 08, 2022, 08:52:06 PM
Some popular YouTubers are saying the same thing, Ethereum is going to beat BTC only in returns not over ranking, just because ETH is going PoS and this upgrade will introduce cheaper transaction fee doesn't mean it will defect Bitcoin, to me its near impossible.
That's right! Beating BTC is almost impossible, look at the BTC market cap that is dominating them all and the gap is too far. If ETH goes up, BTC will not stand still, and we should not forget that the market only rises and grows as bitcoin goes up. ETH is about to move to POS remains a question mark for the future of this leading altcoins. It has not yet been confirmed that the upgrade will make it stronger, and there are varying opinions regarding it.

For Rabiot we are talking about 15-18m/€ if it will end, Juventus will probably go for Parades.

As far as I'm concerned, this is going to be interesting. In this scenario, Manchester United will have to negotiate in quite a different way in order to get what they want. Despite the fact that Rabiot is a talented player, he is still a youth. There is no doubt that he performed fairly well in the last season, but I would not say that it was overwhelmingly great. I think it was decent to some extent. The quality of Manchester United's squad is not very high at the moment, so I'm really hoping they know what they're doing when it comes to their preparations.

Manchester United agree fee for Adrien Rabiot but face task of negotiating with his mother

Galatasaray made two significant transfers in the form of Lucas Torreira and Mertens. But I am a wee bit surprised that they actually got Lucas Torreira, a 26 year old youngster for free.
I know how the transfer works. But whenever I see a relatively young player being transferred as a free agent, I cannot help but be a bit surprised.
And for Mertens, there is not much time left in his career. Already 35 years old. Not willing to be surprised if this is the last team that he plays for.
This is quite profitable for them now because apart from they really need a striker to make their attack better, they also get 2 pretty good strikers for free which is something that is profitable. Even though Dries Mertens is 35 years old, but for the Turkish league it looks like he still has a pretty reliable performance.
At least this can make Galatasaray breakout power even better.

Mertens appeared in 30 matches in the last season and scored 11 goals and 1 assist. And he also did that in the Italian league. Will be playing in the Turkish league this season. He still has much to offer the Turkish league even though he is 35 years old. The same can be said of Lucas Torreira, who played well last season but received a lot of cards. Nine yellow cards and one red card to be precise. He will have to be more disciplined. But I have to say when a player is playing as a defensive midfielder he can have a few cards against his name.
1846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest mistake in crypto? on: August 07, 2022, 11:55:52 AM
Everyone have their own mistake, but my biggest mistake is i was ignorant when bitcoin hit the bottom back then in 2018.
Now that seems like bitcoin is repeating the cycle, i should not ignore this and buy some bitcoin and other altcoins.
Do you really think that it's ignorant, I feel maybe you are kind of scared of losing that's why, a lot of people too are in such situations when bitcoin and other altcoins hit the bottom they failed to buy,. Well one of my biggest mistakes was not taking profit as at when due when I was trading degen back then in the last bull season. Hopefully when degen period arrives I hope I will not be able to make such mistakes again

Ignorance will lead to fear, if we do not fully understand bitcoin, do not have enough knowledge to be sure about the future of bitcoin, then when we hold it in our hands, we will have a feeling of fear and uncertainty. In 2018, many investors missed their chance with bitcoin at 3k and after what happened in 2021, people really started to trust bitcoin completely. They begin to understand that bitcoin's drop is part of the market and then bitcoin will bounce back and bounce to hit new ATHs.
They begin to realize that bitcoin falling is part of the market and after every drop bitcoin will bounce back and bounce back to hit a new ATH.

If we want to be certain and safer, we should choose ethereum or bitcoin, depending on our investment preferences. The majority of my portfolio is bitcoin and ethereum, but besides that i also have small investments in other projects and are classified as venture capital. I do with this investment is to invest in top layer 1 and layer 2 projects, as well as sometimes some shitcoins, but not too much, since I just consider it as a gamble for entertainment.
We have to manage the portfolio to add the main coins are Bitcoin and ETH for 75% investment fund allocation but it depends on each investment strategy. I think the rest are invested in the top 20 altcoins (except coin memes) and I ignore shitcoin investments because the risk of loss is high with no guaranteed recovery price to cover losses.

I will not invest in too many tokens, 20 tokens is too much and I think if there is growth, it is not possible to optimize profits because not all coins increase simultaneously. I only choose 5 coins with potential to invest and DCA if necessary.

As for shitcoin, I only choose 1 or 2 coins. The higher the risk, the higher the return, which is why I class them as venture capital and invest only a very small amount of capital in them, treating them like a gamble or a lottery ticket.
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: Best African EPL player on: August 06, 2022, 09:01:19 PM
I would have simply gone for Didier Drogba, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mané. But this means that I would be unfair to some uncommon midfielders and defenders because I might be basing my selection based on goal scoring and not general contributions to the team. Although not given the right respect and recommendation, Yaya Toure was the pillar and engine room of Manchester City. He was one of the greatest midfielder Africa has ever produced. Although, Sadio Mané is a Liverpool legend but I would give my third slot to the Ivorian maestro Yaya Toure. The slots of Drogba and Salah is incontestable because they are demi-gods of the EPL. I would have considered the only African player that have won the ballon d'or; George Weah, but his impact in the EPL was not fundamental.

If we are talking about having an impact on club football, I have to side with Mohamed Salah. I know a lot of people are likely to disagree with me and I actually understand the logic that they are apt to present. But personally, I believe he is one of the most talented finishers in football right now. He just happens to be at the right time at the right place. This was evident even in the recent match against Liverpool. I am quite sure that Darwin Nunez would not have been able to score the second goal if Mohamed Salah did not shoot the ball into the net. And in recent times when football is almost all about pace, it is encouraging to see some genuine scale and instinct from a player.

The season has started finally and the Lyon - Ajaccio match was quite interesting indeed. Lacazette carried his team to the victory by a solid performance. He had really bad times at Arsenal recently and he is finally back at his former team. His situation is not much different than Aubameyang actually. As you know Aubameyang also was having a problematic period with Arsenal but after he signed for Barcelona he just wanted to show a wonderful performance. I think it will be the same for Lacazette as well.

Lyon vs Ajaccio was a match of one-half. All that happened in the match happened in the first half. Three goals and two red cards Shocked. It was quite an eventful first half.

Lacazette has played well. Just like Aubameyang, I think he also needed a change of place. He looks more at home in Lyon. And in the last match, he was playing really well. His performance has been really stellar. It will be interesting to see how he performs throughout the season. A lot of people might actually say that “bro he just scored a penalty. So what?” I will say that go watch the game.
1851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you introduce Bitcoin to people without digital literacy? on: August 06, 2022, 02:31:55 PM

Same with bitcoin: if your friends are interested in crypto, it's very possible they're interested in USING it, not in the technical background. In this case, i'd just explain them the difference between a custodial and non-custodial wallet, explain them they can never ever give away their recovery seed or private key, make sure they have a safe setup, explain to them that transactions are irreversible and they cannot invest money they're not willing to lose... And that's about it (i guess).

Great, these are all things that I also want to say to those who are new to bitcoin. There is no need to explain or give too many lessons to beginners, these are sufficient to get them started using bitcoin and once they have grasped these basics, if they want to go deeper into technical or investment then let them decide for themselves.

Layer 1 or 2, both seems plagued with problems that are unheard for project like this. If their ecosystem isn't stable and maintains good security, investors will stay away. For me, I prefer none of MATIC or Solana right now till they're fully mature projects similar to ETH 2-3 years ago.
If we want to be certain and safer, we should choose ethereum or bitcoin, depending on our investment preferences. The majority of my portfolio is bitcoin and ethereum, but besides that i also have small investments in other projects and are classified as venture capital. ~snip~
Well, it is notable that age is not a pleasant number for any soccer player, in the case of Dani Alves, if it were Xavi, I would leave him there still, it does not matter, I would put him to play even for 20 or 30 minutes, depending on what his body resist because the mastery and experience that this player has would take advantage of it so that the younger players see him and imitate him and learn, perhaps he is thinking that it is not very good for teams like Real Madrid or Barcelona, because both seek players of the moment and youngsters, although Barcelona's budget has been very limited, I admire that they have been able to attract good players with almost no money.

Right now at this age, there is no reason for Dani Alves to still play for Barcelona. There is also no reason for Barcelona to keep Dani Alves in the team. Especially when they need to save money by cutting wages. Dani Alves is just too old, he cannot provide too much to the team right now.

Obviously, he is an experienced campaigner but right now Barcelona needs more talented players. It would be wise for Barcelona to invest in youngsters who will be able to provide their service for a long time. Dani Alves obviously does not meet those criteria. It is quite crazy if you think about what a few years can do. They are not trying to keep Dani Alves in the squad, but they just signed Robert Lewandowski for 50 million.
1854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLYGON’S MATIC or Solana on: August 05, 2022, 03:24:04 AM
Solana coins looks keep stable although have many bad issues with exploit hold assets saving on Solana network like Phantom and Sollet io, I think still better choose Polygon than Solana, I worry with exploit impact will make Solana coin drop drastically. Until few days exploit happen have thousand million dollar stolen and bad reputation when all hacked assets sold, drastically will make Solana coins dump but until few days with stolen assets happen still not drastically make Solana coin dump, but keep be careful maybe one day later will make Solana coin price drop again.

In light of what is happening with solana, I think we should reconsider the use of this coin in the future. Solana was too hasty in their development, they skipped a lot of security mechanisms to become the fastest blockchain today, and the price they paid was the constant problems and almost cannot be remedied. Matic is a layer 2 project but for the investment it is worth more, solana a layer 1 blockchain has too many problems.
1855  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we at the bottom? no one knows, but market is doing fine. on: August 05, 2022, 03:18:03 AM
market is doing fine.
How much deeper market gonna dive? Many believe we are near bottom.
I use to worry about the market price and wonder if we were at the bottom until I read a topic here from a user that regardless of how the market appears, 1btc remains 1btc and as hodlers of bitcoin in different quantity, we shouldn't bother ourselves with the fluctuating value but concentrate on getting more, I found it very encouraging and I think we should redirect our focus towards that instead of worrying about the market bottom.
You have a point here, but in as much as 1 Bitcoin remains 1 Bitcoin and yet it's value is still given with respect to dollar, people will always continue to be worried, because unless all items were sold in Bitcoin, then no one would have worry any longer, because the only thing that would have been required is a certain amount of BTC to purchase your item. But for the fact that Bitcoin is been valued to dollar people will always complain because what $30,000/ BTC can buy, $20,000/BTC can not buy.. So for me, I'm happy to always see the price of Bitcoin rise

I guess it's really up to us on how we see bitcoin, as you have said, most of us there see is as 1 BTC=1 BTC others pertain it on USD value. As far as the bottom, we might have hit it already, but there are still some arguments and this is based on previous all time lows, that it has to reach -80% or higher to call that that we have hit the bottom. So far that is not yet satisfied. So maybe we will see another nose dive next year and that might be the final, before a leg up and then eventual bull run in 2024-2025.

Somehow 1btc is still 1btc but honestly every commodity or asset should be priced in USD or any currency. The value of bitcoin is being measured in USD price and that is true. We use bitcoin for payment, but the product is priced in USD, not bitcoin, bitcoin will only be paid at the time of conversion to USD.
I also personally expect bitcoin to hit a new bottom in 2023, $17.5k is not yet the final bottom for this bear season.
1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 04, 2022, 07:32:33 PM
Udinese is not a strong team. But AC Milan is always unlucky against Udinese. They don't play well against Udinese. Milan has drawn their last 3 matches against Udinese. And each match was drawn 1-1. And so I doubt if Milan can win the opening match of the season. Considering the results of the previous matches, the match is likely to be a draw.
It's true, Milan has always struggled against Udinese, and I noticed this not only in the last 3 matches, but since the last few seasons, Udinese have always performed very well against Rossoneri. This is no longer a coincidence. However, Udinese seems understand what to do so AC Milan failed to get 3 points against them. Likewise, at the beginning of the 2022/2023 season, Milan had to think better to be able to penetrate the Udinese defense and bring 3 points.

If I remember correctly Milan did not win against Udinese the last three times that they met. It was a 1-1 draw every time in the last three times.

So, I think it is going to be interesting to see the match. Obviously, Udinese is not a strong team. So on paper, Milan should be able to beat them.

And even though this looks really bad if we just look at the last three matches, if we look at the last 10 matches we will say that Milan have won 4 of them and 5 of them were draws.

I still strongly believe that Milan will be able to win. Additionally, they should not lose these matches and should not even draw them. This is because they will need to bring 3 points from these types of matches if they want to keep the title.
1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 03, 2022, 05:15:15 PM
AS Roma is the club that i will follow with excitement in Serie A this season. They formed a good squad with experienced coach Jose Mourinho. I think they have completed their shortcomings in the offensive line. They did not become champions in the league for many years and i think they are ready now. This season, we will watch matches with high contention and struggle in the league. The Italian league requires it anyway. I'm looking forward to next week.
They did not spend too much time for friendly tournament and did not waste time for travelling around the world. Mourinho wanted their players focus on training nearly Italy and improve themselves rather than wasting time, energy and resoruces for unnecessary things that can not help them to end in top four or to win Scudetto next season.
This strategy of Mourinho in this summer makes AS Roma becomes a very big hidden team in Serie A. They are really ready to beat top clubs for fop 4 and if the new season goes well, they get enough luck, they can dream for Scudetto. It is difficult but is not something impossible and unreachable.

I really like this strategy from José Mourinho. I feel like he is sincerely trying to do the necessary work to improve Roma as a team. He is really aiming to get a better result this season. I have been saying this for a long time and it is also true that no one actually cares about friendly matches. As a result, it is better to train the players instead of putting them in a friendly match and trying to have them win that way. I believe that if Roma really wants to improve their result, they could use a little more money.
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba lovers lower your expectations on: August 03, 2022, 09:46:16 AM
Developers are profiting over investors like you. You should be careful with this investment because it's possible the huge supply is going to be dumped in the market by people behind shiba inu aiming their own good. And in my opinion you are being too optimistic. I would swap all those SHIB into something scarce, widely adopted, advantageous and valuable like bitcoin right now.

It is hard to confirm anything, OP decided to get hold of Shiba, he must have done research on Shiba as well.
For me, investing in Shiba is also no problem, each person has their own choice. As long as he understands what he's doing with his money. If he accepts the risk, he also deserves the reward he expects. Shiba may create a new hype or disappear, who knows?
1859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how much would someone need in Crypto this bear run to become a millionaire? on: August 03, 2022, 09:33:00 AM
For the top project, if you want to generate six-figure returns from your investments, you would need quite a bit of capital as most of the projects will grow, but there won't be any spikes in growth.

To become a millionaire with new projects with little capital you have to take risks, the chance of increasing from x100 or x1000 is very possible with new coins but they can also die or disappear, you have to trade risk to get high return. It all depends on the project you choose.
1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can some AltCoins pump during bear markets ? on: August 03, 2022, 08:53:34 AM
For those who lived during the past bear market ( 2018 /2019 ):

Can AltCoins go against the larger trend and actually pump nicely during a bear market ? I know there was a bit of a pump in 2019, so I don't know.. but right now I'm seeing Gods Unchained, Ox and a few other coins pump even if Bitcoin's Market dominance is still well over 42 %. Lets not also forget the market is still in a downtrend headed for lower lows at the moment. So would there be any point in trying to FOMO into altcoins pumping ?
I personally exited the market almost entirely, plan to re enter when Bitcoin hits 15K or even lower. Then again I've noticed some alts coming desperately close to the negative 98% mark... you have to wonder how much lower can they go

Good Alts can pump anytime, it not only depends on prevailing market conditions but also on development going behind the project, likewise Ethereum merger is well is progress and it is  likely to complete within a month, so it will definitely have good impact on its price because this development will create more demand of Ethereum. Another example is burning of coin event that reduces supply of coins, hence makes good impact on price.

Pumping in the bear market and going against the trend with bitcoin can be seen regularly, but most of them will only be for a certain period of time and it will soon return to the flow of bitcoin. It can't go against the whole market, bitcoin dominance is still huge in the market. Not only with good altcoins but this will happen with any coin even more with shitcoins, sometimes they don't follow any rules at all.
