1841  Other / Off-topic / Re: Essay on: June 01, 2019, 03:27:50 PM
Friends, at the university gave the task to write an essay about about free will of the person (whether the person has it). It is necessary to analyze the history of philosophy, starting with ancient Greece and ending with the 20th century (postmodernism). Please help me with ideas. The essay should be analytical.

Every man has free will, because he/she has a choice between what is considered good and what is considered evil. The choice might be wrong, but eventually,we all have the power of forgiveness and fixing our mistakes.Hope this helps. Grin

We all have free will but there are cases when some factors can intervene with this free will. Example with this is the government of other countries where they curtail freedom making sure that the people are controlled whether they like it or not. And in so-called democratic countries, there is a growing awareness that people are being manipulated though subtly.

1843  Other / Off-topic / Re: I discovered a baldness cure on: June 01, 2019, 03:05:47 PM
Happened to stumble upon a cure for hair loss during my research.  How do you guys suggest I go about selling this and what price points I should set?  Do you believe people care enough about male pattern baldness that this will be worth selling?

The market for an effective product like that can be huge but make sure that it is safe and affordable, to say the least. Marketing a product these days can be easy because of the available tools and resources but can also be difficult because of the competition. As to pricing, that depends a lot on the cost of the product made and how your competitors are pricing theirs. Good luck.
1844  Economy / Exchanges / Re: TaoTao - new Japanese Exchange will launch it's trading on May 30 on: June 01, 2019, 02:54:38 PM
it's true that many exchanges have been hacked, but the Japanese government has at least been heavily involved in the exchanges, so things like lack of support response for months are things I doubt the Japanese face. Imagine if an exchange like yobit would be based in Japan? I think they would not survive for a week.

Here's one example how Japanese are going after those hackers now, Japan to Hold First Ever Trial Over Crypto Hacking Losses. So yes, FSA are really on top of their game and those exchanges really need to pass specially the security governance. And I think the Coincheck hack really is an eye opener for them, that's why they have at least slow down approving exchanges unless they thoroughly inspects and see that everything is in the proper order.

Good to see how the government of Japan has been implementing laws that can help protect the interest of the consumers or the investors and traders in this case by making sure that only credible cryptocurrency exchanges are allowed to operate. With Taotao I am sure they can capture a good size of this huge Japanese market. Going after hackers is quite a surprise for me but why not...? That seems the right thing to do so that fraudsters can son go to jail for crimes committed.
1845  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which Mixer is getting axed next? on: June 01, 2019, 02:40:20 PM
First, it was Bestmixer services that got truncated and the signature advertorials ended abruptly in the 8th Week https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5125389.340, then a few days later

Bitblender opted out of running their signature campaigns https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5100568.msg51243240#msg51243240 in a dramatic manner yesterday.

Which Mixer is next? Is this going to be the end of the Mixers? What really is going on here? I know the cyber security dudes are keeping a close watch on the Bitcoin mixing sites. But what really is going on?

Yes, this is going to be the end of the bitcoin mixing service business as there are now many governmental regulatory bodies that are considering this type of business to be the tool for laundering money from illegal sources. Sad to say, against those in authorities, there is less we can do but to comply not unless we can go underground (where life can be so difficult, I guess). The one and only remaining standing in this industry is Chipmixer...let's see how things will turn out for this last guy on the ground.
1846  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitblender shutting down? on: June 01, 2019, 02:09:14 PM

Looks like what Bitmixer.IO said in 2017 is coming into fruition now, it's a bit scary to hear this from Bitmixer.IO himself that time and everyone is questioning him since they are one of the biggest if not the biggest mixing services you can find in this community. Chipmixer is the last man standing.  Grin. Although it still considered a fairly new exchange, if I'm not mistaken.

I am sure that sooner than later the pressure will be on Chipmixer as it is the remaining operating service provider on the business. Indeed, what Bitmixer said in 2017 is now coming true. When regulatory bodies of many countries can start using their powers, there is nothing we can do but comply or we can go to court to reverse any harm done (but this is quite self-defeating to say the least). Let's hope that Chipmixer is doing all it can to stay away from the crouching power of the state.
1847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Say it again? Bitcoin transaction fees expensive? on: June 01, 2019, 01:56:18 PM
This is really impressive data, transaction of such a large amount of money cost only $5 Roll Eyes But you need to consider the fact that the vast majority of transactions within the bitcoin network is belongs to a group of micro transactions, which is usually a few dollars worth of bitcoin. Such transactions are actually very expensive, if only we take for example that someone sends $5 and it need to pay for that $5 fee. In addition to using the Light Network which is still fairly demanding for the average user, only way to reduce fees for micro transactions is using of SegWit and to make transactions light as much as possible by controlling inputs.

You hit the target. A person transferring a huge amount of bitcoin will find the fees to be negligible and will later on give a smile and a big praise for the bitcoin network because he saved a lot of money compared to transferring it the traditional way. However, the problem is visible if one will transfer a little amount of bitcoin -- and this has been the big challenge since time immemorial with bitcoin. We should find the way to address the concern of the small transactions too which comprises majority of all transactions. The right solution to this problem can help bitcoin truly function as the digital money we can use all the time.
1848  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trusted bounty campaigns listed site on: June 01, 2019, 01:42:32 PM
No site can give you the complete details of every bounty.  You have to do some little research yourself to be able to get the right bounty to participate in. But you can check some bounty site like Bountyhive,  bountyhub, bountylord for a clue

There are now many resources we can use online to look for the best projects we wanted to promote. It can take some time and some ingenuity to search for them but am sure the results can be satisfying knowing that one's projects are vetted well. Starting with this forum, there are already much good information here and then we can go many review sites -- we just have to Google them. There are also information in Medium and even in social media like Twitter, Facebook and in Telegram.
1849  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: G20 Regulations not a good thing. on: June 01, 2019, 01:29:10 PM
Rhe US is the only nation I know of wherein the government is actively hindering the growth of its own citizens and its domestic policies as well as international relations by imposing things that they see fit (especially during Trump's admin). Right now, the G20 regulations aren't final yet, and the said standards won't be headed thankfully by the US but Japan which is a more capable country when it comes to crypto regulation. Government intervention is a painful yet needeed compromise to ensure that the growth of the scene is sustainable with less of the criminality. We don't know how this would pan out, but hopefully it sides on the interests of traders and not the governments this time around.

USA is known to be really strict and in the area of cryptocurrency it is implementing laws it can find so that its own interest is protected. Now, having said that, I think USA is still better compared to China, Russia, North Korea and plainly other countries where the word ban is in effect. We are living in a world where we can never have our cake and eat it too, sadly.
1850  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-05] Bitcoin Exchanger On LocalBitcoins Bags 21 Months In Prison on: June 01, 2019, 01:17:36 PM

The big lesson is never to assume that just because we are in cryptocurrency there is no more need to follow the law of the country concerning the conduct of business as there are things we have to first get approval first harsh as they may seem to us. On the other hand, the man is simply a fraudster selling something that never existed...for me 21 months is too small to pay for his mistakes. Morgan Rockcoons is one of the many causing others to assume that bitcoin is very connected with scams.
1851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: OkEx Supporting USDk could be Timely on: June 01, 2019, 10:51:43 AM

This can be coming  soon and with the support of the OkEx platform I am sure USDk can be a good additional player to an array of many stablecoins already crowding in the market. Whereas before when USDT dominated the market, now we have a flood of many new projects vying for the chance to get a pie of the market. Let's see how things will turn out for this development.
1852  Other / Off-topic / Re: OnederX the first one to launch a meme-based trading index on: June 01, 2019, 10:38:21 AM

You may not be able a lot of eyeballs for this post here in Offtopic. I think you can post it in another part of the forum where traffic is much better. We live in a world of memes and the world of cryptocurrency is a good space for memes that is why I see a good potential of this project just tell the team never to give at slight inconvenience. Good luck and more power.
1853  Other / Off-topic / Re: Massive Server Desk Build : The Evolution on: June 01, 2019, 10:27:33 AM

How I wish I can also do this project. I actually can source a good wood material for the same project for my desktop set-up here but I am planning to hire somebody to do it for me -- an uncle actually who is involved with making furniture am sure he can easily do the job. I am wondering what type of wood are you using here...
1854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin grows, worlds money and big fishes. Is this connection obvious? on: June 01, 2019, 10:15:11 AM
Recently I've found news that Bitcoin grows because Trump became its supporter. Isn't it obvious? I'm afraid it's like a game of big fishes. Crypto isn't as independent as it indicated to be. Do u have any thoughts?

Don't believe on those unfounded news. I don't think that Donald Trump has the influence to make bitcoin grow as it is now as there is no direct support for cryptocurrency coming from the White House, as of the moment. Until such time that there can be a clear-cut policy from the state on cryptocurrency and there can be corresponding laws passed, we should leave the government out of the picture here. Of course, it can be different if ever SEC will finally approve of the ETF.
1855  Other / Off-topic / Re: Facts You Never Knew About Malaysia Flight 370 on: June 01, 2019, 09:58:27 AM

I watched many videos in YouTube regarding the sudden and untraceable disappearance of the Malaysia Flight 370. Right now, it is true that there are still so many questions and concerns left unanswered years after the said incident. The families, friends and acquaintances of the passengers and the crew on board that unfortunate flights are still looking for answers and crying for justice. I am happy to see a movie project on this event and let's hope that soon the real truth can come out.
1856  Other / Off-topic / Delivery from the DarkWeb on: June 01, 2019, 09:36:16 AM

In the darkweb as they say, one can easily find goods like drugs and guns and one can buy using cryptocurrency as the mode of payment in the transactions. And that can be an easy part, actually. Now, I am wondering how do they deliver those goods...is it them personally handing the items or are they using a courier? In case of a courier, is it not the responsibility of them to make sure they are not delivering illegal goods?

Here in my country, the courier is making sure that the items are not illegal and they are usually doing the normal inspection because they have the responsibility under the law.
1857  Other / Off-topic / Re: Country that provide Best Free Education. on: June 01, 2019, 09:25:33 AM
Hi,

I would like to know the country that provides the Best Free Education. The things that they offer for this kind of program and how they define the eligibility of the student to avail the free education?

Thanks,
  Smiley

In reality, there is no such thing as free, really. Usually, it is paid by the state using the taxes paid by the people though there is nothing wrong with this per se because if taxes are used for the good of the people and in investing in their future it will produce good results. In my country, there is now free college but mostly in public schools and good thing that these schools are now upgrading their standards comparable to those in the private-held institutions.
1858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for scammers, yea right! on: June 01, 2019, 09:14:04 AM
Scammers are everywhere and i feel sad for bitcoin, We can't deny the fact that some people used bitcoin for their own benefits. Bitcoin is for everyone and it depends to the people if they use it for good or bad. People are very dangerous and all we can do to all scammers over there is pray for their changes.

Scammers are intelligent and many of them can even be considered as genius because of the many strategies they can employ just to fool people and have them open their wallets. Of course, scammers will always tools that are available to them and this is the reason why bitcoin is an easy target because once the transaction is done there it is already irreversible unlike with PayPal where one can possibly file a refund. Irreversibility then can be good or bad depending on the situation. I was one of the victims of scammers before so I understand how it felt to be part of the statistics.

1860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Disappear Day on: June 01, 2019, 08:52:24 AM
Considering all the people asking this question are obviously noobs, think about it, if you discovered a highly advanced piece of alien technology that could dramatically change the standard of living for the whole planet what would you do? I'm talking on the level of technology that would involve long distance space flight and electricity generation.

If Satoshi came forward he would have everyone from news journalists to the government to the fucking mafia coming after him, this is exactly the way to introduce such a technology and cryptocurrencies are in fact something brand new. Now that everything has spread out and most programmers know exactly how it's all put together and anyone can make it themselves there is no benefit from trying to monopolise this technology since everyone knows how to make it anyway. This means there is a lot less risk posed to him now and even if they did find the guy it wouldn't amount to anything since everything he knew was posted online for all to see.

That's the kind of level you have to think of this on.
Totally agreed about that, There is no need for Satoshi Nakamoto to be known who is he in real life we just need to be thankful to him that he introduced us to a revolutionary system that is already changing the world, kudos to the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto.

So what's the official day?

Almost four years later and it hasn't been implemented.
And now its been 8 years and still not implemented lol. Cheesy And the one who started the thread also disappeared too, no more holiday now lol.

Just one of the many ideas that failed to make a good traction. We already have the Pizza Day celebrated everywhere but I don't think there is any good interest for another we should celebrate. But what about a Satoshi Day instead...a day where we remember and celebrate the life of a man who brought to us bitcoin and the blockchain technology? Rather than ponder on why he left...maybe we should celebrate on the things that he left as a gift.
