Trust: 0: -0 / +0(0)

I can offer 0.01 BTC.

Obviously any trust built up during the life of one account will not transfer to another person because it would be common knowledge that the account is in different hands. Thank you for the offer! If the offer was serious that means accounts do have value for trade. Regrettably, I will have to decline.

Many people who have joined the forum in the past few months are unaware and learning every day that trading accounts is not disallowed and that it sporadically occurs, so some may easily fall for a scam perpetrated with your account. I wouldn't mind spending 0.01 BTC to prevent that (but not more than that), and maybe as an experiment post for a while with it to see how many people would be aware of the sale of your account.

It won't be common knowledge to all, only those in the know.

Maybe a scam or potential scam perpetrated by a respected member is what is needed to show how dangerous selling accounts is. And what's to stop a member scamming with their account then claiming innocence because they claimed they sold it?

We’re meant to be able to trust respected members who have built up feedback through trades etc, but to me, this trust is kind of worthless when people can just claim they've sold their account. Even involving a third party escrow service in deals now seems like just one other person involved that could scam you.
18582  Other / Meta / Re: (Suggestion) New sub-forum for novelty coins on: December 25, 2013, 09:36:27 AM
As others have said, who decides what a novelty or shitcoin etc is?. This is a Bitcoin forum, and the alt currency section is fine for all the others. Yeah, it's a mess, but you don't have to go in there if you don't want, or only have to subscribe or check threads of coins that you're interested in.
18583  Other / Meta / Re: (PETITION) The act of BUYING/SELLING Bitcointalk.org Accounts (Poll) on: December 25, 2013, 09:34:14 AM

The best we could probably do is have an "account recovery code"... every account gets a magic code which can't be changed, which can be used to claw back the account at any time. This would make selling accounts slightly less safe because people could claw them back after payment was made.

Can't you just do that via forgot password/ secret question and get it sent back to your original email address, or can those things be easily changed as soon as someone gains access to the account?

Bit77 have changed their payouts: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=216854.msg4119607#msg4119607
18585  Other / Meta / Re: [suggestion] - signature lists on: December 25, 2013, 09:23:29 AM
i searched- didnt see anything similar but correct me if im wrong

basically so many people here offer to buy signature space, and frequently change what they want you to have in them - so why not some way for forum members to host signature lists that users can sign up for and adjust their space?

I feel like it would probably help out a bit of people here

I'm not entirely sure what you're after, but Rannasha keeps an updated list of Signature deals: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333916.0

Three of the buyers (who paid $0.12 per Doge!) complained. Two said "noit as described" and one claimed never delivered. I am thinking (well probably hoping is a better word) that the two who said not as described may still go through if they actually look at the descriptions though. Heres the sale

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-000-001-ONE-MILLION-ONE-millidogecoins-milliDoge-fractional-DogeCoin-m-Doge-/171199988500?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESOX%3AIT&nma=true&si=f2x9QrV0HSaIhpFD24GZi5B2TLk%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

 Undecided

Lol, well obviously they're idiots for not reading the description. Did you withdraw the money from your PP as soon as you got it?

You should send the coins on a paper wallet andto verified adresses only and make sure they sign for it. You're better protected that way, but it's still not foolproof.
18587  Other / Off-topic / Re: When 1 BTC = $10k, I will blow an entire bitcoin on hookers and blow on: December 24, 2013, 07:28:50 PM
You heard it here first and I will bump this topic and provide proof of my promise once and IF BTC this $10,000 a pop. I've always wanted to have a threesome and do lines of coke off a stripper's tits... these are 2 bucket lists that I can easily knock off when I become rich off bitcoins.

You're going to spend 10k on prostitutes and cocaine? That seems a bit excessive.
18588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: December 24, 2013, 07:14:56 PM
It ate a lot of the rest of my post earlier. I was going to ask other newbies if they had traded crypto currency on ebay before?

I sold 5 lots of 1,000,001 MILLIDoge for an average price of $115.00 on ebay last few days. The buyers are trying to claim that I promised 1 million doge for the price. In the description/body of the ad I say five times that they are getting 1,000 Doge only for thier $127.00, one guy bought three lots. Now everything is being held by Paypal, and I was wondering what paypal would do with the profits - since they say they have no refund/buyer protection for intangible digital items.... anyone had experience with this?

They will just issue refunds to the buyers no doubt. Ebay/PP don't care about sellers and you're not meant to sell cryptocoins on there.
18589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use another bitcoin address as your password on: December 24, 2013, 06:56:58 PM
This is a good idea. Simply use an address as your password, they are random and secure. Plus you can keep it in a list or address book and no one would think it's a password.
my recommendation is USE A PASSWORD that you ALREADY USE ON THINGS
cause if u forget it, it's so long money
Block chain as password dictionary. Good idea.

There are funny people around here, I see.

Welcome to Bitcointalk. Enjoy your stay  Cheesy.
18590  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: December 24, 2013, 06:50:11 PM
I haven't watched a film in months as I've been busy with Bitcoin and posting on these forums haha. Got loads of stuff downloaded I want to watch, but will probably make a start on in the new year.

Now how long is it going to be before we have Norriscoin?

Hi there,

Why can't we post on any other forum than this one? :{

You need to wait 4 hours before you can. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177133.0

Do you disagree hilarious?

I neither agree nor disagree.
18596  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A friend's idea to promote on: December 24, 2013, 06:13:52 PM
Nice jacket! I like what it's wearing underneath even more. Wink This is a great image. Well done!

Thank you! Here's a little secret. Black silky bra from vs on top... And nothing more Wink

And maybe if I get more tips I can get me some boots or whatever you guys want me to wear Tongue
lol I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's not 'more' clothes that the guys want.

I think partial skin and sexy lingerie are more powerful than "in your face" pics Tongue

And I'm sure many people are now going to disagree...
18597  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin "cards" on: December 24, 2013, 06:08:48 PM
Whoever had that idea was a genius.  0.5BTC for a plastic card... err.. I mean, a "high quality plastic card".  Absolutely mind blowing.

Capitalists gonna capitalise.
18598  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking to sell my forum account for btc. Is there any interest in this? on: December 24, 2013, 06:06:05 PM
Oh, I forgot to mention that you can have all my PMs too. Every discussion I've had with everyone from Memory Dealers to MatthewNWright.

There's a reason they are called "private messages" ..... just saying ... the other parties might not be too happy

Yeah, I guess that's true. I shouldn't do it, but do you think it adds any value to the sale? lol

Depends on the content of the messages, lol ....
Sometimes people include their personal data in these. Let's say a mining hardware vendor sells his account - this could be worth a lot since you are getting names and addresses of all his buyers, think of the chaos   Lips sealed
Many companies buy and sell email addresses and personal information to other companies.

And that practice is generally frowned upon and often illegal.

Frowned upon - possibly. Illegal - no.  This is a personal social experiment for me. You will have to assume that I will do the right thing concerning the PMs.

I didn't say what you was doing was illegal. Selling email addresses and other personal information can be illegal.
18599  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies, stay away from altcoins. please on: December 24, 2013, 06:03:18 PM
I'm not sure I agree with the post. Bitcoin isn't really a currency. I

It is a currency. What makes it not a currency in your opinion?
18600  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where to buy btc? on: December 24, 2013, 06:00:09 PM
Hi guys. Where is the best place to buy btc with my credit card or PayPal account? I'm looking to get in the game. Have about $2400 to start.

Localbitcoins accepts PP. Or you could try buy some on the forums here, but peeps wont likely use PP.
