1861  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Additional Requirement from CoinsPh on: September 16, 2021, 01:42:17 PM
I have a spare wallet ready and will request a change of btc address na. Worry ko lang is tong pending payment. Sayang din to ah. Haha
Have you tried converting your Bitcoin to Php even though there's a warning of a pending status?

I already converted my Bitcoin to Php after seeing a balance in my wallet after the Bestchange reward transaction get confirmed and I successfully transfer it into my Gcash account ready for withdrawal and I think there's no issue I encounter so far, it might be just for now maybe and I don't know in the next transaction.  Sa tingin ko hindi masasayang young sayo, you can still able to convert it and withdraw funds for a while and ignore the notification pop up.  Nagtaka din kasi ako kanina after receiving my reward from Bestchange, maybe as for now just ignore the additional requirement.

I tend to agree we need to request a new receiving Bitcoin address parang naging kumplikado na si Coins.ph sa mga external transaction.

...didn't use coins.ph for a while.
Anong ginamit mo sa pag convert Bitcoin to cash?  Any alternative to Coins.ph?
1862  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: September 15, 2021, 03:03:23 PM
IMO, there's no problem regarding the KYC verification, since the start they never ask me to resubmit KYC maybe just because I only have a small amount in and out of the Coins.ph exchange/wallet platform.

One thing that I have a very annoying issue, yung app ni Coins.ph kusa nalang nag logout sa mobile phone ko.  What do you think is the possible cause of this?  Kakainis kasi kailangan ko pa mag login sa laptop ko para makuha ko yung verification code sa email ng Coins.ph ko which is I separate my Coins.ph email address account to my personal email address used which is on my phone.

Ano kaya possibling dahilan nito?
1863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading got to do with profit and lose,is it true? on: September 14, 2021, 11:47:18 PM
Yes, in essence, trading is an investment. It should be understood that this option of work can really be interesting, but you should not forget about the risks of such an option.
But the fact, they had totally different from each other, trading and investing isn't the same thing.

I prefer investing and hold it for a long time, something like waiting when my profit comes out and sell at my targeted profit which is if you will analyze, this is less risk compared to trading.  Which is in trading, you need to do a lot of homework, practicing fundamentals and technical analysis is usually what you can do in trading.  I consider the riskiest is in the trading while in investing, you can hold it for a long time and that is fine.

Since the crypto market is very volatile and has unpredictable prices, it is expected that there's a loss or win.
1864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does the scammer companies earn through bitcoin ? on: September 14, 2021, 10:58:03 PM
I was told that the money was paid in bitcoin and later it was converted to USD. I thought that they earned bitcoin by watching ads.

I thought this kind of scam didn't exist these days because people know what is Ponzi scheme is.  It basically lures naive people with a small percentage they supposedly got per day after staking their Bitcoin and after how many days, they paid you for how many days and later on, they will shut down and you can never hear them again.

Back then year 2017 this kind of scheme was very popular, in fact, I'm one of the victims when I was investing my Bitcoin in a mining company, they promised to get my whole capital after 30 days, and per day, I got my profit.  But after a week, they lost and never come back, it's regrettable.

Next time, analyze it first in which part they generate their revenue of their business.  Because usually, it comes from newcomers in crypto, and then if the pool fund is ready to exit and run away, that's the time they become scams.
1865  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin trading? can Bitcoin trading profitable without having lost? on: September 14, 2021, 10:33:31 PM
It can be quite difficult for a beginner to work immediately without losses. For example, when I just started working with a broker from Amarkets, sometimes I could make mistakes in the process.

In the cryptocurrency market, no one can trade without losing trades. Therefore, not only beginners lose money, but also those traders who have been trading for a long time. The main thing in trading is to have more profitable trades than unprofitable ones, so that in total you get a profit.
Because the main reason is having an unpredictable market when we talk about cryptocurrency trading.  Even how expert you are in trading, there will be a chance that you made mistake by a single decision or every action you take. So therefore in trading, there's no expert as we call most of the time, sometimes they can minimize losses through their strategies but that doesn't mean there's a massive gain or infinite profit in trading.

If you're afraid to have losses in trading I suggest having a long-term investment is the best for you, after purchase just hold and never sell until it didn't reach your targeted profit.
1866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to trade properly for newbies on: September 14, 2021, 04:30:06 PM
I think you need to change your title, it's irrelevant and awkward.
First, I agree above, if you're a newbie you shouldn't enter the trading field if you've lack knowledge.  Because there's no proper execution in trading, there's no step on it, it might be what you meant is the tips and suggestions in trading.  BTW, there are too many of them and I just like to add one of the most important to your input, it should also be a "trading plan".

Yes, that's it.  You have an aiming or targeted on the right trade.
It shouldn't be changed even there's a FUD or even a massive bump of a coin, just stay on it because you have a plan.

As a newbie, I suggest going first in copy trading.  Gaining knowledge after gaining profit is far better.
1867  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone had access to my account last month - Please beware! on: September 14, 2021, 03:57:56 PM
legendster's account has been hacked Huh! I am so much scared to see it. legendster is a very reputed and skilled person on our Indian board.
When I joined the forum, I was not very careful about email Sad, I have created my account with a random email address, will I have a problem? What do I have to do now? please suggest me.
Even how many security levels that you put into your account or even your email address if you didn't care about it, it's useless.  As long as you've used an email address that's not associated with your personal and daily use account, then, you'll be fine.  If you're the only one who knows your password and your email address used, you're safe from a possible scam or being a compromised account.

Threat your account as you valuable stuff and avoid it sharing with anyone.
I'm on this rank now but I never change my password even at once or email the address because I know that I'm the only one who uses it 'till now.

I suspected that this was probably a cause of sharing an account or might use it as collateral in exchange for something valuable than this, IMO, and CMIIW.
1868  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this what call hard work? on: September 14, 2021, 03:39:54 PM
The common problem of unprofessional bounty managers who run bounty campaigns, they didn't care about the forum and don't know about forum rules, as long as it promotes their project, it's fine for them.  There should be a rule of burst posting and should not be counted as a stake and as I saw, it was counted on the spreadsheet.

Obviously, just for the quota, I don't see any pure effort there and yes, there's no hard work upon checking on his post history, 1-2 lines per post, and I reported those obviously shitposts.  It is typically a shitposter behavior and I just want to know if you already reach out to the bounty manager for this so that that guy won't deserve to receive a stake.

So far on this guy's profile, https://bpip.org/Profile?id=960780.

1869  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bounty Management Process Request! on: September 13, 2021, 11:54:12 PM
It is a request to all the Bounty Manager/Senior Users, please share the process/guide/link/any helping materials. I assume this information will help a lot of other users.

Why should they share here such information? And to help others? Why? I know everyone starts from scratch but bounty managing isn't a thing that's necessary to learn here. Let alone that service automatically be learned by users if they want to start doing it. No offense.

Information about it should be kept secret by the bounty managers. It's a personal information. No need to tell to public their inputs and how much they are paid by the companies they handle. But if you are really curious, it's the same as accepting other projects/works/service and try to find the reasonable price you can ask to the project owners.

exactly. Just imagine, reputed bounty manager creating a guide "how to manage bounty campaign".
I guess, 90% of manager skills coming from experience. even that they can share personal experiences in detail, I see no reason why they would do that.

Tend to agree with you both, that's why if you can see each popular bounty campaign manager has their own format on making signature thread and of course the process on it on how they created their thread and how they will check their participants.  They also starting from scratch and I think they will never disclose their strategy in handling bounty signatures campaigns.  But, who knows they tell OP, I suggest sending them a PM and ask for tips. I'm sure they answer your questions.

Explore first before you will start and if you will not hire a decent bounty managers.
1870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm back into Bitcoin! on: September 13, 2021, 11:23:20 PM
You're very lucky that you've still recovery your wallet, you almost made mistake by deleting your wallet.dat file that possibly will be lost forever.

All you need to have is a hardware wallet just like suggested above the Trezor and the Ledger Nano, they're trusted and well-known wallets so far but if you want a big list of hardware wallets you might head upon this [BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+).

Probably that's 2.49 Bitcoin came from your collecting faucet before, it's really worth it before to join a faucet, but now I don't think still the same and I don't know how will it take before you can collect even 1 Bitcoin.
1871  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp.net blocked and remove my account and don't return $ 5000 on: September 12, 2021, 11:57:28 PM
Next they tell me to provide documents for one of the BTC transactions that I made three years ago! (07/15/2018). Today I have no such documents left.

Let me see if I understand, they are blocking your account because of a deposit made over 3 years ago? it is? since 2018 have you never made another deposit on the exchange? what's the point of them asking for details of a deposit made over 3 years ago? were you doing hodl on this exchange? to be clearer: you bought bitcoin 3 years ago and since then you were leaving it on the exchange to make hodl?
Which is a wrong practice, lol.  It should be under your control.

All their concern is about the AML/KYC process and OP was suspected as a money launder since OP didn't have backup support.  My advice is since they are asking for proof of documents that where your money come from in buying 1 Bitcoin, you can search your bank transaction history upon purchasing your Bitcoin, and next to your payslip if you have or any source of income that has your name the same in your account.

I haven't used this exchange but I think submitting your documents is very important to them as to follow the KYC/AML on their country.
1872  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Frustration with third party KYC services in crypto platforms on: September 12, 2021, 11:41:13 PM
this is a very annoying process, i personally have done a lot of KYC on these exchanges and every time it was a headache, that software they use to capture the person's face is an annoying thing, i spent hours just holding the camera and trying to get it right my face on the camera, my ears fit the design that was in the software but even so the software said it wasn't my face, I spent days doing that, it was very stressful.
I tend to agree because I also experienced do the same as yours, but did you know that there's an exchange that I've bypassed their KYC process last month ago.  I have also been annoyed capturing myself holding my ID and at the same time in the right corner, an exchange name with the date where you process.  I once photoshopped it and replace the name of the exchange and the date and boom, my KYC was accepted after a few minutes.

I think they are right, there's a tool that they use upon verifying the documents you submitted not made by them.  As long as your documents as your image are clear and visible to them, it might be acceptable quickly.
1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Defining Bitcoin on: September 12, 2021, 11:27:53 PM
Link to my Medium article

Definition 6
Bitcoin is a blockchain
You have a very good article about bitcoin, every of your write ups are correct, but you can edit this part that I quote above, bitcoin is not blockchain, but your content about it that the existence of bitcoin result to the existence of blockchain is correct because blockchain was created by the creator of bitcoin which is Satoshi Nakamoto, but you can explain that after just indicating that bitcoin is stored on blockchain rather than bitcoin is blockchain, this will make it more accurate.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look back on my wording there and see what I wrote. My intention was to say bitcoin is the original instance of blockchain. You're right I should make sure I am saying blockchain is a crucial part of bitcoin's tech, but as only a part of it that means blockchain =/= bitcoin. I'll check out my wording and update if I feel the need to.
Yes, this isn't correct and upon reading your article it caught my attention which is I know that Bitcoin and Blockchain is a different thing.
It should be Blockchain is a public ledger distributed database and it's about transparency while Bitcoin is behind on that technology that the only purpose was created to become a cryptocurrency that promotes anonymity and pseudonymity.

But overall, that's a good article that can be used for newbies as a reference to teach others, it's a basic definition but yet it's very important.
1874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand the market in advance on: September 11, 2021, 11:59:17 PM
In addition above about fundamental and technical analysis which is perfectly good on how to understand the market situation.  Besides, there are a lot of tools that we can use to determine the possible market price flow, one of those is this Tradingview so that you can keep practicing reading the price graph flow chart.

However, watching videos and tutorials are also helpful to understand the market situation.  But all I mentioned above didn't have an accurate result, these are just tools to determine and predict the market price but not an exact price.
1875  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the best program for cloud mining? on: September 11, 2021, 11:39:07 PM
Guys just stay away from these users. It's been noticed this user spreading various scam sites on the forum. Once you visit his profile you might get it. I have reported a few for sharing a suspicious link on the post, not sure if moderators remove them since the scam isn't moderated by the forum. Doesn't matter he post about what, he just trying to spread scamming sites. And we know another name of cloud mining is a scam. So just put in ignore this user.
Those who used the BIP chrome extension will easily spot that the OP account was banned and might your report was effective, OP now was nuked.
He obviously shilling those names that might lead or fall to the trap.  It's a good thing that you've reported that account to stop this behavior.

Even if you could somehow guarantee that a cloud mining company was not a scam, it would probably not be a good idea to "invest" in a cloud mining contract. I will list some of the reasons why below:
In addition, most of them operated with no real mining machine, stealing images from other mining companies and claiming that they are.

Cloud mining businesses don't have enough credibility now even how you will say it is a good company.  It will remain a scam company in the eyes of investors so it wastes of time.
1876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good man/woman leaves an inheritance on: September 11, 2021, 04:38:29 PM
This has been discussed so many times here about inheriting your Bitcoin when you passed away.
Here are some example threads,

I picked some that you have an idea but actually, there are tons of threads, just research the word "Inheritance" in Bitcoin Discussion you will see different kinds of discussions regarding that matter.

For me, to answer your question, I better hire a trusted lawyer than trusting anyone with my private key, that's not good disclosing to anyone else your private key, once they have it, they are the ones who have full control of your crypto asset.  You can hide your assets at once and write down your last will testaments about your asset and your trusted lawyer will responsible for it.
1877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why government would like to ban Bitcoin? on: September 11, 2021, 04:14:43 PM
I would like to read your opinions about this topic, what are the reasons? Why is it Illegal? the fact that it is for earning & living?  Huh May this answers we have here nailed in everyone's mind in this forum. For learning and importance.
For the one reason, because all governments want revenue from their people and Bitcoin involve money that is considered taxable but in fact, people can hide their asset through Bitcoin and since it has a decentralized nature, they can't force their people to pay tax.  So now, banning Bitcoin is a fool decision by the government, how they can ban valuable numbers that only can be found in computers running with different nodes and holding by different people anonymously or pseudonymously, IIRC

Another factor is we know from the start government fighting with different fraudulent activities and since Bitcoin is prone to this activity, they want to manipulate their people or else prohibit them to use cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin.
1878  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to implement Bitcoin payments in my hardware store. on: September 11, 2021, 02:57:18 PM
My hardware store now accepts Bitcoin! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5359186
How's it going on now?

I'm just curious after you've said that there are 4 persons who have used Bitcoin payment and so far now how many of them?  What are those improvements of accepting Bitcoin as payment in your store compared to a cash basis?

Regarding the technical issues of using Lightning Network, you can always ask it here in the community if there are difficulties you've experienced, as you've noticed, we're happy to see that there's someone like you who adopted this technology that could be lead to others to do the same as what you've done.  Good luck with your business and hoping for a success.
1879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware store now accepts Bitcoin! on: September 10, 2021, 12:18:47 AM
Congrats!
This sounds good and there are a few small merchants now adopting Bitcoin as a payment and the good thing is they applied Lightning Network that good for microtransaction for example for a small number of products to purchase.  Aside from that, it's totally safe than using a credit card because there's no charge back, make sure at least there's at least 1 confirmation to be done before your customer let leaving at your counter.

and maybe add a link to bitcoin.org in your "bitcoin accepted" signage/website for those who have no idea what it is and wanna learn more.
I like the idea, it seems you're advertising the forum as well.
Below on your QR code device reader, there's a line saying, "For more info. visit Bitcointalk.org for more details". Wink
1880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC Want's Your Opinion? on: September 09, 2021, 11:59:44 PM
Lol, I don't know what is the agenda behind that question or just simply hyping the CMC by that question.

No one will refuse if someone will give a 150 Ethereum with the same choice of having dinner with Vitalik.  However, if this belongs to market manipulation, why ETH?  Bitcoin suffered a recent correction and I think it could be a good highlight but if the question goes the same, it is impossible to see Satoshi at your dinner and meet this genius one.

I have doubted that CZ was trying to boost the price of Ethereum so that investors will attract to invest in their NFT projects on Binance.  Sounds like another new strategy to him.
