1861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: April 24, 2023, 11:06:21 AM
Feel bad no at all the bitcoin pizza is always there  I mean if the price is always Up there is always people who like bitcoin pizza.

If you are using Bitcoin for pay something it mean you support the ecosystem if more and more people spend with cryptocurrency there will be a lot of merchants  that start to accept crypto too right at least theoretically
1862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will never own a whole Bitcoin and that's okay on: April 24, 2023, 11:01:50 AM
You are true OG  Grin Im also member from 2014 and in total in and out I have around 5 Bitcoin and happened in year 2015-2016 after that I never had single bitcoin again after the bitcoin price reach 20K+ it very hard to even touch 1 Bitcoin at least if I buy with my local currency.

1 Single Bitcoin can buy 1 brand new car or even cheap house in my country so buy it will be hard task  hahhaha but thats okay we still have time continue DCA or buy little bit till reach 1 Bitcoin while holding till touch new ATH
1863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Benefits of Bitcoins recent price drop on: April 24, 2023, 10:57:19 AM
The True benefit is when the bitcoin price drop you can buy more you can accumulate more.  Grin

and another benefit is training your patience or your emotion. If you hodler or trader you can still made a profit even tho the price is drop or at the bear market like this. and of course the benefit that your mention before is also included

1864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is going down day after day right now on: April 24, 2023, 10:41:21 AM
I think this thread would be great if on Speculation zone but here is my thought

The bitcoin is very high volatile asset I mean the altcoin is way way more high volatile you can gain more than 30% or more in a day on cryptocurrency world so it is possible to down 10% in a day. If you take a look at the coingecko bitcoin is down 60% from ATH huge right in stock market you might find this low a couple of yearly basis

1866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should wait before owning my bitcoin on: April 24, 2023, 09:59:13 AM
First of all is this your first time I would highly recommended that you are using cold money meaning money that you can afford to lose and not gonna use it in long term.

Your choice wallet of Electrum is Great since the wallet is open source and many member here is using it. and if you already buy and still minus at the portofolio you can try do Dollar Cost Average and with this technique you can average down and made a profit when bitcoin is up
1867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gas station payment with bitcoin. on: April 23, 2023, 01:25:39 PM
You have a valid. This is the first thing I think when I saw gas station implement Bitcoin as payment because people come and go as quickly as possible when loading gas because they are on travel. I don’t know how Bitcoin works with OP’s business or if there’s really a business but showing Bitcoin to customers as an option is already an advantage for Bitcoin because it will serves as marketing. But I doubt OP can get benefit on using Bitcoin due to the nature of his business. Only few people have a time to wait for 1 confirmation before they will leave the gas station because I will not let my customer leave if the transaction is still unconfirmed.

Setting up LN doesn’t make sense because it’s not popular with common people. Most user has the native Bitcoin and only few use LN.

yes you also has a valid opinion too Lightning Network is not very popular. also people who buy the gas is always in a rush.

card is better option then I think there is couple of company that offer Bitcoin debit card although is need KYC.

Or by using alternative coin with EVM chain compatible and only accept Stablecoin can be a better option
1868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Important update on Bitcoin. Why is it falling? Will it go lower? on: April 23, 2023, 01:08:29 PM
Question like this is always exist  Grin But yeah correction is needed to make the market healthy.

Will it go lower no one knows but there is some indicator that is already said it the recovery phase or entry at the phase of accumulation zone, and some said the market is not bottomed out and bear is continue.

But we can really precise predict the market unless you have some power to see a future
1869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoiner still support the use of centralized exchanges? on: April 23, 2023, 01:03:48 PM
Like it or not Centralized Exchange is here to support the bitcoin

an early adopter is using Peer 2 Peer transactions but centralized exchange comes to help for the past 10 Year there is always a problem with Cex but not all the CeX is bad in my opinion. Some of it made bitcoin even grow more.

Decentralized Come to exist to made a balance between Centralized Exchange but not all the Dex is pure gold there is always some shit too. Just keep educate ourself and do our own research first
1870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does It takes time for market to be bull on: April 23, 2023, 12:51:41 PM
I would say not just the bitcoin but all the market need a correction or bear market. If you take a look the chart every single trading investment always had a correction take profit is needed. and there is an accumulation zone and then bull market this circulation keep the market is healthy. and sometimes bear need time if you dont believe me take a look at stock market too

If you see one market or one instrument that always had a bull you need to worry because Fear when people are greed and greed when people are fear
1871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Real Estate Crush Bitcoin Investment In 2023? on: April 23, 2023, 12:46:12 PM
Real Estate is always a choice but you need great money to do it Or I was wrong here is there any real estate investment that cost a fraction of the money?

In the other hand Bitcoin is also a good investment I would say you already see that bitcoin according to the past already broke the previous All-time High. If you or I have the money to invest in real estate I would invest to bitcoin too, you know to make a diversification

1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inactive BTC whale transfers $8M worth Bitcoin After 10 years Inactivity on: April 22, 2023, 11:56:06 AM
How come a holder did not transfer his bitcoins after being inactive for ten years i.e. in 2021 when the price of bitcoins peaked, but in today's down market why did he transfer his bitcoins?

He/she is truly holder but something like this is not new sometime dormant address transfer their fortune into a new Bitcoin address format example. native segwit.

and we do don't know the truly reason is but one things is sure is not transferred to exchange address for now  Grin
1874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gas station payment with bitcoin. on: April 22, 2023, 11:52:22 AM
I think the idea behind this is great But if you using Bitcoin Network is this efficient I mean bitcoin has 10 Minutes block and sometimes the network is congestion or have u implemented the Lightning Network or something like that.

but the idea is still great tho Just advice you can use third payment gateway that accept crypto payment s
1875  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The Digital Currency Monetary Authority (DCMA) Launches an International CBDC on: April 22, 2023, 11:48:44 AM
Federal Reserve website said

"While the Federal Reserve has made no decisions on whether to pursue or implement a central bank digital currency, or CBDC, we have been exploring the potential benefits and risks of CBDCs from a variety of angles, including through technological research and experimentation. Our key focus is on whether and how a CBDC could improve on an already safe and efficient U.S. domestic payments system.
The Federal Reserve Board has issued a discussion paper that examines the pros and cons of a potential U.S. CBDC. As part of this process, we sought public feedback on a range of topics related to CBDC. The Federal Reserve is committed to hearing a wide range of voices on these topics." -https://www.federalreserve.gov/central-bank-digital-currency.htm

I think the US still looking for now CBCD need a plan at least so when launch it does smoothly but other countries already launch their own version of CBDC according this site - https://cbdctracker.org/
1876  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Let's talk about FedNow and the relationship with cryptocurrencies on: April 22, 2023, 11:45:41 AM
According to the Twitter link that you give https://twitter.com/federalreserve/status/1646153739131027464/ It seems the Fed denies its cryptocurrencies nor Central Bank Digital Currencies. and also according to their website the FED still "The Federal Reserve Board has issued a discussion paper that examines the pros and cons of a potential U.S. CBDC. As part of this process, we sought public feedback on a range of topics related to CBDC. The Federal Reserve is committed to hearing a wide range of voices on these topics." - https://www.federalreserve.gov/central-bank-digital-currency.htm

But if they using a blockchain technology or if CBDC is there I think the only possible they are using private chain
1877  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to close a crypto exchange easily on: April 22, 2023, 11:42:17 AM
Binance has very big problems, because the SEC and the CFTC are working against the exchange. The process will be indicative for everyone else.
Well one by one exchanges that have licensed in the US start to close their business, I think the regulation there was pretty tight and SEC seems bombarded the US crypto world. are the Binance could be the next??

back to the tittle of the topic Im also curios how to close a crypto account I think when the company start to fall apart or bankrupt they should noot to keep the user data right?
