1881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: yesterday's drop in prices, was it natural or man made? on: September 08, 2021, 02:33:46 PM
No one can tell, it's a man made nor a natural way that how it moves the market price.  I would say, 60% suspected that it was caused by a whale connected to El Salvador's government purchase Bitcoin and whales want to dump it, and possibly they will get Bitcoin at a lower price.  As I saw on social media post, El Salvador invested again in Bitcoin half if they had own, it's 200 Bitcoin and now they had 400 Bitcoin total.

However, there are too many factors to be considered and we can't make any conclusion yet since there's no source regarding the reason for the drastic downfall of the entire market leading by Bitcoin.  It was expected that there's a drop after the Bitcoin plunge at $52k plus in the market, the opposite possibility will happen is the drop and the result was true which is the fluctuation every now and then.

By the way, I hope you have understood OP.
1882  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Is The Best Cryptocurrency To Buy Presently? on: September 08, 2021, 01:09:06 PM
I intend to purchase some BTCs/ETHs into my blockchain wallet ...
A Blockchain wallet?  Make sure this isn't a Blockchain.com wallet which is prone to different issues upon purchasing crypto to their bank/credit card account.  The web wallet isn't good for storing your crypto and I suggest a single wallet upon storing your asset for free or much better if you will choose a hardware wallet which is also supported altcoins.

The rest of you're concern was stated above, if you don't know how this cryptocurrency works, don't hurry upon investing.  You need to understand first the possible circumstances that waiting ahead.  The word risk is in crypto, understand risk might help for a productive profit.  If you'll understand, you'll see the difference.
1883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador official wallet app @chivowallet go offline on: September 07, 2021, 11:58:56 PM
IMO, this was expecting concept to make their own wallet and I think the way they monitor or regulate their people using Bitcoin and I don't know if this is acceptable to those who really want to be an anonymous one.  Because for sure this wallet belongs to the custodial wallet that every transaction can be monitored by them.

Well, it's good for them to have this and I think it's a being a part of their progress about accepting Bitcoin and becomes legal tender to their place.  The most important is, they are a part of us as a crypto enthusiast.
1884  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Criticism (Constructive/nonconstructive) is part of the game for Newbies on: September 07, 2021, 11:49:03 PM
I'd love to guide newbies into the right path and follow the forum rules once I saw they'd on mistakes than criticizing them because I know how I feel being criticized(I've been called before idiot and even shitposter).  This forum will give us benefits and as a matter of fact, I've learned a lot here from technically to emotional that molds my self being matured.  Learn your mistakes is one of the most important but as much as possible avoid those heavy mistakes that strictly prohibit this forum, such as you mentioned above which makes your account suffer in the future when you get neg. flag and neg. feedback on your profile.

If you are a newbie try to aim these,
  • Be a good member
  • Be a good contributor
  • Be kind to your fellow members
  • Help the forum clean, report when you see that against the rule
  • the last but not least, never break the forum rules
..and you'll be fine.
1885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best taking profit techniques to maximize gains out of the upcoming blow-off top on: September 07, 2021, 11:16:58 PM
The best taking profit technique is the stop-loss or has a target % of profit, let say if you're content with the 30-40% profit, then it's up to you if you will sell it off and then purchase again when the price is drop.  Sometimes I won't matter on the market condition, upon looking at my portfolio and there's a profit and that's good to cut is much better and then hold the rest.

Just be happy with whatever profits you can pick up and see if you can keep moving your trailing take profit to just below resistance or sell when you're comfortable.
This is what I am, just be happy with the profit you take and as much as possible don't be greedy enough to wait for more than 50% profit, though that's good and I think you need to wait for how many years before you will achieve.
1886  Economy / Speculation / Re: Massive flash crash on: September 07, 2021, 10:54:56 PM
I got noticed on my wallet that the price was dropped by 10% and now it's almost 15% dropped, I don't even know the reason for this drastic downside of Bitcoin price.  It might be big institutions taking up their profit and the continuous drop was made by the panic sellers.  Who knows!

But this was expected because of the recent price increase, as we know if there's a massive increase and an opposite direction there's a downfall which is we commonly experienced.  Probably because as I always said, Bitcoin has no infinite growth and it is high volatility that might every now and then it will drop and go up.

Just hold if you have a loss and never sell.
Because not all are sad to see the market was a drop, while others have a great opportunity to accumulate it back while it has a correction.
1887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: HELP - Need a wallet that will show name or email for Bittrex on: September 07, 2021, 10:42:10 PM
Thanks for your response.  I am thinking Bittrex simply doesn't want to release the funds so they ask for the impossible.  Here's the exact quote:

“Is there a screen in your wallet program that shows your wallet address associated with your name or email address or just a list of your wallet addresses?”
IMO, it's hard to link any of your associated addresses that has your username or email address not unless if you're using a custodial wallet too that has an email address may be like Blockchain.com web wallet that has an email address but I don't know how to prove it.

I tend to agree with the suggestion above, a signed message is the best way to prove ownership without the needed username and email address.
But there's a wallet that you cant able to do a signed message feature, you're very lucky if the wallet you have used has this availability of signed message feature.  Here's a tutorial thread on How to sign a message?! and the wallet list that you can't able to sign a message, it's quite an old and inappropriate thread, yet research your own.
1888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stocks Vs Crypto, Which is Better? on: September 06, 2021, 02:53:54 PM
~
For those who dare to take risks, choosing cryptocurrency is indeed better, but it will have a greater risk, especially for new projects, of course, they will be more careful to analyze it. indeed in crypto X100 increase is very possible, but we must endure psychologically, because of course it will be more challenging
but believe me, there are many of my friends who used to fully play in the stock market who finally asked me about the crypto market.
they used to think crypto was just a scam, now they have a better understanding. and of course, finally they have a better market to make a profit even in day trades done.
Because it simple analogy, high risk means high profit and that's what we've in cryptocurrency because of the high volatility they potentially gain profit.
I have many friends who also do trading in the stock market, they'd said that if you want market's stability stock market were meant for you because it's not prone to whales and other market manipulators, unlike cryptocurrency a high chance that could be manipulated and the reason of high volatile.

IMO, if you were going to ask me which is better, both of them are good but they'd pros and cons that we must consider or let's say, they're very opposite to each other which has one result, either win or loss.
1889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull market is back on: September 06, 2021, 02:30:32 PM
Bitcoin has always been in the bull-run, except maybe when there is a fud, like the china news and Elon Musk tweet affecting the market negatively.
FUD was always there since the start that could affect the Bitcoin price but IMO on this year, there's no bear market that has happened.  It considers market correction and not totally a bear market, so meaning to say, we're currently still on the bull market and the price keep climbing up since the mass adoption was in the process.

Potentially the bull season will continue because people will always have a technology adoption, which means blockchain and Bitcoin could be possible always be used.  Another factor is international acceptance, more and more countries now open their gates towards cryptocurrencies could be possible a massive adoption.  Once we're on the top, the media spotlight will be the next, and Bitcoin and other crypto will not stop spreading out.

IMO, Bitcoin will always have ATH but definitely, there's no infinite growth, it's always expected to have a correction.
1890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the stupidest thing you have bought for BTC in the past ? on: September 05, 2021, 11:58:16 PM
There's no regret especially if that time Bitcoin will really help you when it comes to financial matters.

To be honest, for how many years I didn't invest in Bitcoin, most of them I earned here in the forum and it will exchange to fiat (in short I never hold that way) and spent what I ever I want.  Now, though there's a little regret why I didn't save even a little amount of my earnings, overall that is fine, at least it helps me when I most needed most especially at that time when pandemic comes.

I checked my Bitcoin wallet lately and when I calculated the value compared today if I'm hoarding, that's a huge amount and I can't believe it.  But the past is past, there's nothing we can do.  No regret just accumulate again.

60btc for an ASIC(2013/14 era).
never got ROI
OMG!  That's a very insane amount.  It could be your pension.
1891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recovery Mode activated on: September 05, 2021, 11:42:06 PM
After a massive bear run that shake the market in May this year which could be similar to the 2017 market crash. have you been able to recover your loss?
what is percentage of loss have you recovered since the market is gradually returning back to normal. we can not rule out another downfall.
for me, i have only recovered 30- 40 % of my loss.
The question is which coin did you recover your loss?

If you hold Bitcoin for a long time, there's an assurance that you will recover your loss, yet there's no time frame but more or less 4-5 years which is commonly a new ATH will come repeatedly.  That's being a part of the game because the market is so volatile, there's a loss if you will sell your coin under the price where did you purchase.  If you have bought during the dip last few years, you should have gained profit by now multiple folds as your capital that being spend.
1892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for daytrading strategies for beginners/intermediates. on: September 05, 2021, 11:01:26 PM
Our questions are: does our goal sound realistic and what would be your advice for us considering learning and using strategies in order to be successful at day trading? and are there any helpful learning platforms you would recommend?
This is related to financial advice and I think you should have your own research about this.

It's really hard to start in trading especially if you don't have enough idea and knowledge about it.  You need to fulfill first yourself with a knowledge that has a good strategy in trading before I can say you're now an expert in trading.

IMO, here is my advice.
Do you know what is copy trading?  I think you need this idea and I think many newbies are using this now since they can't wait to engage in trading, all they want is experience but didn't have a huge loss.  Try to choose eToro exchange and find how their copy trading works.  Not unless you will spend time to have a research on how to study the Fundamental and Technical analysis which are the most important to know in training.
1893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 59% of Bangladeshi are interested to see Bitcoin legal here on: September 05, 2021, 04:47:23 PM
I thought there's an official announcement that comes from the Bangladesh government that Bitcoin is legal.

IMO, I don't think this is possible.  IIRC, the country of Bangladesh has a majority are Muslims and AFAIK, in Islamic law, they are still prohibited to use Bitcoin under their jurisdiction.  And the comment above was right, there are millions of people in Bangladesh but on the Reddit poll, only 127 users are out there that can be also there's a chance that the poll could be manipulated by them.  Let's have a better source before we believe.
1894  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading VS investing: pros & cons you should know on: September 05, 2021, 04:13:25 PM
Pros and cons of investing in cryptocurrency
.....
Cons
* It has a higher risk
I don't think there's a risk in investing if the investors know the concept about the Bitcoin price.  Once an investor becomes a panic seller when there's a FUD comes, the risk was there but if the investor knows how Bitcoin works and knows that investing in the long term will really give profit, I don't think there's a risk on it.

In crypto space, RISK and VOLATILITY are the main factors that we consider most especially in trading.  There's a lot of things that we must be monitored before we can say that it's easy to gain money on crypto but knowing the fact that Bitcoin itself didn't give promises on USD regarding profit, it's financial freedom.
1895  Other / Meta / Re: Do you think some plagiarism can happen "by mistake"? on: September 05, 2021, 03:25:24 PM
Plagiarism is always intentional and simply cannot occur by mistake.
Possible.
But IMO, it could be a case-to-case basis and if you can see the (accused being plagiarized) post of Mpamaegbu, the intention could be possible is to show a reference or content that come from the online article (or somewhere else) but the big mistake is, Mpamaegbu forgot to include the link or must be quoted it from the original author, which is this is very strong evidence by suspecting of being a plagiarist.  So IMO, that could be a mistake by him by not being accredited to the original author.

There's no problem even if he copied the entire content but there's a link to the original source.

Just my two sats and waiting for the best result of Mpamaegbu.
1896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner's interpretation on: September 04, 2021, 04:09:48 PM
Are forum contributors responsible for alerting us if we make an unintentional mistake by failing to understand the rules, or will contributors ignore us immediately after reporting a post?
IMO, it's hard to say that newbies had made an unintentional mistake as we all know that plagiarism is extremely prohibited here and could be a permanent bannable offense, and as newbies, their responsibility to read the rules in the forum and it must include the forum rules as well.  The same as well to the higher ranks, they know much better the golden rules of forum and plagiarism is one of the most have the worst violation if you're detected.  We've already discussed it here so many times and as said above, there was a wave of ban before that banned almost AFAIK, 2K plus users.

Regarding the line that I highlighted above, you can report a bunch of posts as you wanted to report, they didn't know who reported them and they didn't know too that their post had already been reported, only MODs will know and review the reports, the hammer for a ban is on their hand.
1897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to understand which sector is going to rise? on: August 31, 2021, 11:57:39 PM
Might be a really stupid and childish question, but how do you understand which crypto sector is going to gain popularity and then capitalization?
There's no way to know, everything in the crypto world would have remained unpredictable.  There will be always hype and it might this SOLANA is under hype that's the reason the price keeps pumping.

I believed that NFT PTE games will most likely have the potential to gain popularity in the next hype, there are a lot of gamers in the world that are willing to adopt this kind of PTE game or play to earn and most of them are willing to invest and hoping to gain profit multiple times upon their capital.  I think this sector will be a potential one but of course, there's no assurance at all.
1898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Sponsors New MrBeast YouTube Video! on: August 31, 2021, 11:47:58 PM
OMG!  There's a lot of prizes out there?  Lucky for those who have joined the contest and each of them received a good amount especially the Tesla car and the amount of $2,000 worth of Bitcoin and it might until now the $10 referral code was effective upon creating a Coinbase account.

That's a good return to the people who've used Coinbase and it might good also if this activity will continue for everyone and can able to join virtually.

Is there somebody who knows how much is all over the cost of the prize that is sponsored by Coinbase?
1899  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [LIST] Crypto exchanges that accepting Lightning Network on: August 31, 2021, 11:31:25 PM
Upon having short research I saw this Estonian exchange that also supported Lightning Network.

https://nordikcoin.com/

And based on their FAQ, they acquired KYC/AML to their users but I didn't found about their channel count.
1900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to make passive income in crypto with altcoins on: August 31, 2021, 11:15:41 PM
In all choices that OP mentioned above, I preferred investing in NFT coin and playing as well.  It's very common and very trending all NFT PTE games and I think this has the potential to make a massive profit when they will boom in the market.  Just grab and invest their token while they are on upcoming hype, just like Axie Infinity, if I know that investing in SLP is a good profit before, I invested more than I can afford, and probably it worth trying in upcoming NFT games project and test while they are on a beta stage.

Another is trading, either scalping, spot, or daily trading will boost your profit in just a matter of a short time but this all depends on your ability how to make money in trading, if your skills and knowledge on it are enough, you're good to go and make a profit.
