1901  Economy / Economics / Re: New COVID strain may affect crypto valuation on: November 26, 2021, 08:36:00 PM
I am observing today something similar to what happened in 2020 but at a micro-scale. The announcement of a new COVID variant that may be resistant to current vaccines has sent the Dow and the S&P down the drain, particularly airlines and other travel hospitality linked business. Zoom stocks are up, mining and raw materials down,... It looks like a repetition also in bitcoin price with a plunge that may be ongoing.
During the last lockdown due to the outbreak of the pandemic many businesses that required physical contact suffered losses and drop in patronage. But after the lockdown was lifted we saw newer opportunities and the internet became the saving home of many ventures. If bitcoin gets a repetition of what played out in the market in 2020 then there will be cause for panic
Quote
For those of you that are newer on hodling, just calm down, this is nothing new, bitcoin will be there tomorrow and, likely, rebounding after the initial collapse caused by the stop-loss orders triggering of the first days.
We have had bitcoin rebounce on several occasions and holders who were patient enough had cause to smile. But they truth remains everyone would not hold some just take advantage of the volatility then sell and make little profit not everyone has that patience
1902  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: November 26, 2021, 08:18:57 PM
Can the banks challenge the policies from the government? Are the banks working for the people or the government? is there any possibility that banks can operate freely entirely from government policies?

(Read news article here)

I wouldn't blame the bank because they are operating based on government regulated policies and their license comes from the same government and so they just have to take orders from this regulated bodies.

Like wise the government are fighting hard to stop crypto because they fear losing out control of their citizens funds and as such can't decide what goes around in the economy. If we should be practical a bit banks had a return of investment after crypto currency became a global business option and so both parties are collaborating to see how they reduce crypto investors to its minimal which can't happen no matter the treat
1903  Economy / Economics / Prospective retailer on: November 25, 2021, 10:00:24 PM
Crypto has opened up lots of self employment option to our present society ranging from investment to trading even down to staking and all this are made possible by both centralized and decentralized exchanges providing services through licensed procedure to ensure a secured transaction either through peer-to-peer or a completely centralized procedure

I was just wondering don't you think becoming a retail vendor through a well developed exchange can earn you passive income or you haven't thought in that direction. Or could there be an  untold/hidden mysteries behind setting up an exchange because we still need more exchanges so we can give crypto more boost beyond government regulations
1904  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and it uncertainties on: November 25, 2021, 08:45:31 AM
This thread is primarily directed to discuss how traders manage trading uncertainties how do you manage to decide on your trading in a volatile market such as cryptocurrency where price can change within some seconds.
The only way to manage your trade is to opt out of a trade onces the direction changes and never be of the assumption that a  trade would revert because this has taken many accounts down. Get satisfied with the little profit made and set a profit target before embarking on any trade. No one has control over the market its only moved by demand and supply chain so limiting greed is just the surest way to manage a trade.

1905  Economy / Economics / Re: Can civilization revert to a barter system on: November 25, 2021, 08:40:07 AM
Going back to the barter system is a hell no. CBDs is obviously what it is a total government surveillance tool to monitor, control, manipulate, decide and influence the monetary reforms of its citizens and with the exposure on cryptocurrency thus far there would definitely be a revolt in near future because this CBDC would become a treat to many but the Barter system would likely not be an option
1906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if governments make Bitcoin centralized? on: November 25, 2021, 08:22:59 AM
Let's assume it was really possible for bitcoin to get centralized maybe an adoption as a one world currency and government taking over mining pools. Did  you consider the amount of bitcoin already mined by the decentralized miners ?. Its just obvious bitcoin can't just go centralized at the moment the government are handicapped and all the can do for now is try to stop further mining or ban bitcoin in their country and also impose their centralized digital currency on their citizens and nothing more
1907  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic trading strategy for newbie to make a profit on: November 24, 2021, 02:08:07 PM
Due to social media bounty and airdrop getting less payment. I decided to make a trade.
But I'm really confused how to start the trading so that I can make a profit daily. I need a reference where I can learn about it.
If anyone have a good chanel sugestion for learn in trading crypto, please reply.
Thank you 😊
Do you have the patience to learn? It's not easy any where not even in trading. You will agree with me a lot of people got something tangible from airdrops and bounty many made it big through bounty and airdrops and many are also making it big in trading but you should first developed the patience to learn.

1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 24, 2021, 01:41:51 PM
Levante journey this season is indeed  bad compared to the previous season, the results of the matches they have so far are quite unique with 7 defeats, 7 draws and 7 points.
Obviously the difference in quality with other teams this season makes it very difficult for levante to win, even though they haven't won, but to be honest it seems I'm not sure if levante will be relegated at the end of the season, other than because the season is still long, I see if levante this season it's not too bad and the proof is that they managed to get a few draws against teams like madrid, villareal and athletico madrid, if in the transfer market later levante can improve their squad, I think they will be able to get out of the relegation zone.

although the season still leaves a lot of games. but looking at Levante's performance this season, very bad. if it's possible they get win points I guess it will change 1-2 level only. still too dangerous for them to be relegated. see there is quite a tough match against a strong team they still have to play. it's been a tough season for Levante.
A team whose biggest win is a draw some seasons are like that. If they can survive not been regated this season maybe by miraculously winning their future matches they might bounce back next season learning from their mistakes or possibly improving their teams and getting in new team mates

City - PSG. I don't get why PSG is so underrated. They win is rated @5.00. Does anyone planning to take it Cheesy?

It's strange that they're favoring City knowing that in their first game PSG won and City couldn't score at least 1 goal.
When it comes to betting everyone has their own slip. Those underrating PSG might have predicted based on his own statistics. This is one game that will spring up lots of reactions as both teams can win underrating PSG sounds too weird

Liverpool win @1.90 against Porto. Well it's tricky. Liverpool likely to rest main players, while Porto still fighting for 2nd place.
Sporting - Borussia, probably most unpredictable game today.

for liverpool's game I'll wait to see which players will play before I place a bet
I'm not scared of betting on Liverpool to win because I just have that confidence they would definitely win I'm just beginning to build so much confidence in Liverpool but I would still gamble responsibly
1910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 24, 2021, 01:06:48 PM
Liverpool deserved to win, because throughout the game they dominated, Liverpool created lots of opportunities. Finally Liverpool managed to beat
Arsenal very convincingly, which previously Liverpool surprisingly lost to West Ham. But with this victory against Arsenal being revenge for the previous
defeat, and for Arsenal itself, this is actually a defeat that has been calculated, because after all Arsenal lost the quality of the players. Especially if we look
at Arsenal's meeting with a big team that always loses by a big score, so many people have predicted, Arsenal will indeed lose to Liverpool. In my opinion,
it doesn't matter if Arsenal only loses to a big team, but they can beat the middle and lower level teams. Arsenal this season can still finish in the top 4.
One of the teams that have always been a reason to respect are Arsenal and Liverpool, it must be recognized that Ejipcio is one of the strongest weapons that Liverpool has, I just want to make a simple analogy, and make mention of the team's dream team. Arsenal when I was with Thierry Hendy when they played the Champions League final against Barcelona, it is notorious to think that at that time in my opinion Arsenal was much superior to what Liverpool is now, really that Arsenal was really a scary team to any team.

Speaking of Arsenal's glory, when Arsenal still had Thierry Henry, in 2001-2004 Arsenal won quite a lot of titles and became one of the best teams
in Premier League at that time. Unfortunately Arsenal at that time failed to win the Champions League trophy. Apart from Henry there are many
great players who have played for Arsenal, such as Bergkamp, Fabregas, Van Persie, Cazorla, Alexis Sanchez and many more. Unfortunately Arsenal
are now experiencing a decline in quality, and very difficult to get into the top 4 again. Hopefully this season Arteta can make Arsenal into the top 4,
so that next season can return to feel playing in the Champions League competition again. Arsenal's next game will be against Newcastle, this is
a chance for Arsenal to get 3 points. Moreover, Newcastle is the worst team in the Premier League right now, Arsenal should have won the game easily.
After arsenal move from higbury, arsenal seemed to lose luck at that time, I think the beginning of arsenal's destruction was when they tried to build a new stadium and it forced arsenal to become a club selling star players to cover the cost of building the emirates stadium, besides, Arsenal success at that time , cannot be separated from Arsene Wenger's tactics, but it will not run optimally, without the role of three French players Thierry Henry, Robert Pires and Patrick Vieira who at that time became the life of Arsenal game in winning the Invincibles title.

Judging Arsenal based on the game the lost to Liverpool isn't ethical at all. We all know how the season was with Arsenal and how they were able to bounce back to 5th position on the table before the lost their match against Liverpool. I wasn't expecting a good performance from Arsenal from that very match all I wanted to see was an improvement and I will say Arsenal tried although the lost

This are associated with people who think superstitiously about everything the do attaching every single move to an illuck or bad omen. For me I can't imagine doing not even with my favourite team. Football is one of those games I watch with so much passion and no matter the outcome whether my favourite team wins or lose I can't start having some I'll luck
1912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 24, 2021, 12:32:17 PM
Chelsea beat Juventus 4-0. I think we are in a period where the Premier League teams are much stronger than before. They did not play against Juventus. Chelsea was the only judge of the match. Without Juventus goalkeeper Szczesny, we could even have seen a game with 6-7 goals.
Chelsea tends to play better without Lukaku and the goals tends to circulate better amongst other players. Chalobah was the last person I was expecting a goal from but he opened the lead goal with a brilliantly placed shot, Tuchel is branding Chelsea beyond the premier league nice job from Chelsea fc
1913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 23, 2021, 07:31:29 PM
Even Lukaku will probably skip the game versus juventus according to latest news.

As told you the game will count only for the first position in the group stage...

Will be a boring game imho

Its not the first time Chelsea is playing without Lukaku and it was a massive win. I guess there would be a repetition of what happened against Norwich. One beautiful thing about Chelsea's game is that the don't solely depend on a single player to lead the team they play as a team and win as a team making sure every player is well featured

https://www.teamtalk.com/liverpool/revealed-huge-final-transfer-act-michael-edwards-leave-liverpool-fans-ecstacy

It is rumoured that Mohamed Salah is close to sign a new contract extension with his team. I heard some time ago that Barcelona were interested in signing him in January or this summer seriously. But even if they had the funds, I thought that they wouldn't have such opportunity. Because I guess that Liverpool and Salah both are contented with each other. Salah is having one of his best times at Liverpool now. And the team are also doing very good in the EPL and CL both. So I expect this contract extension to end successfully for each side.
Sallah is having his best time at Liverpool if he renews his contract then that should be the best decision he would be making this season. He has had the best appearance in Liverpool and move on to a new club might be a bit tedious for him. I just wish the contract extension goes on successful because he his presence in Liverpool adds colour to their game pattern
1915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: November 23, 2021, 07:08:11 PM
There are quite a few instances that prove that gambling may offer you the opportunity of easy money, however, that's not always the case, since the majority of people actually end up losing money in the long-term. I refrain from gambling large amounts, and mostly stick to games such as Crash, Dice or in the worst case scenario, Roulette.
Most times I wonder how people get so comfortable gambling with huge amounts without considering  if the end up losing everything before their very eye. I just wish people would come to understand that gambling isn't an investment and as such it's not worth risking that much everyday can't be a lucky day and most times the lucky day comes un announced.
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 23, 2021, 06:50:35 PM
In five days, we are going to watch an incredible game between Chelsea and Manchester United in Stamford Bridge. Until then, Manchester United should definitely solve the manager problem quickly. Carrick is the head coach now but it is temporary of course. I have heard that they might sign Ernesto Valverde for the rest of the season. He is without a club now and his last club were Barcelona. He hasn't managed any team since Jan 13, 2020. Whoever the team sign, they should act fast. Otherwise, I see another comfortable victory for Chelsea on the coming weekend. But under any circumstances, Chelsea will still be highly favored of course. By the way, Chelsea couldn't defeat Manchester United in the PL in their last three home games. They drew with them two times and lost the other one.
The stuff here is Chelsea is playing at how against Manchester united and I'm just thinking if there  would  be any much difference even if Ernesto Valverde joins hand with Michael Carrick to lead united against Chelsea at old Trafford. This wouldn't be  an task for united at all. Fingers crossed hope still pondering on what the odds would be
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 22, 2021, 11:10:56 AM
I really want to see Zidane or Laurent Blanc as a Manchester United manager.
The Glazers gave more time and a second chance to Solskjaer, but he failed.
It's really difficult for a big team like Man United to find the right manager.People like Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal have failed miserably as Man United managers.Back in the late 80s,nobody was expecting Alex Ferguson to become the biggest manager in the history of Manchester United, but the owners let him work for several years before achieving any success.Nowadays,no football club owner has that patience.

Zidane has turned it down a number of times, and I don't think there is any other way than to find a potential coach like Zidane or even the Manchester United manager has another list they are considering. Time demands must also be made faster decisions. Improvements to the coach will greatly determine the future of Manchester United going forward.

Let's see how Michael Carrick handles the team against Villarreal and Chelsea this are the two most important games at hand.
Maguire back there in our defense is also a huge setback, too slow and dull to be there.
I feel he's the worst defender in Manchester United history.

I was saddened when Zidane turned down the offer but since he has his own ambitions and personal reasons then giving Michael Carrick the chance to prove his worth should be next. His first debut in the champios league against Villarreal what a strong task ahead. This match would definitely speak much about him either ways the game goes
1918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 21, 2021, 11:55:43 PM
Liverpool are very lucky to have Salah, maybe seeing his form like this, Chelsea and AS Roma have regrets for selling Salah. Since signing from Roma in 2017, Salah has managed to score more than 100 goals in all Liverpool matches. Chelsea don't have faith in Salah, they only gave 13 games to him. Unlike Liverpool, which always makes Salah as a starter when he is on fit. The trust given by Livepool for Salah make them get UCL and EPL trophies.
There is no regret whatsoever since transfer of players are inevitable we would just say Liverpool is quite lucky to have M. Sallah in a time as this and Sallah has been the scoring machine. Sallah could perform better in liverpool because he has a good team mate who understands his kind of game and plays along. If Sallah had remained in Chelsea nor Roma who knows he wouldn't have done better
1919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 21, 2021, 11:45:38 PM
Real Madrid ended the first half of their match against Granada leading with 2-1 score. Granada was weak and founded it difficult equalizing the game. However, the second half was more favorable to Real Madrid, as Granada was give 2 red cards, and Madrid scored 2 more goals. With this, the game ended with 1-4 in victory to Madrid. Granada are now at the relegation zone, with 11 points. While Real Madrid are currently the leader of the League. Although, Real Sociedad have a home match against Valencia. And their chances of redeeming their lost position from Madrid, depends on how they play the game.
This is one of those easy wins. Granada played with less confidence and Maldrid took good advantage of that to have scored a 2-1 win in the first half while the second half was more of a walk over as Granada took two red cards with even weakened the team further. Will Granada survive relegation? and would Maldrid end the season at the top of the league?
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 20, 2021, 06:34:55 AM

Yeah, their defense isn't good at all. As a team, Levante has conceded the highest number of goals in this season. Luckily they were able to make a draw against strong team Atletico Madrid. However, I think Athletic Club will easily win today. And Athletic Club will move towards the 5th level if they win today.
Levante is very weak this season, but you rightly said that they managed to play a draw with Atletico, and therefore cannot rule out a draw in this match. Levante will try to get out of the relegation zone and will try, especially in home matches, to get points. The defense of Levante is very bad, it is difficult to argue with that, while Bilbao has only 8 conceded goals, this is the second indicator, after Sevilla, who have only 7 conceded matches. Everything speaks in favor of Bilbao, but I think a draw is possible.
Finally the match between Levante vs Ateltic Bilbao ended in a draw with the score 0-0, a positive result for Levante at least being able to get one point and they continued their winless trend so far, from statistics both teams did not create too many chances and Levante managed to make two kicks towards goal as well as Bilbao.
Athletic Bilbao had the best chances in the first half and all their efforts wasted.   Levante had chances too but had little lapses on their defense. Levante has conceded much goals this season getting a draw might be a sign of great relief especially as it's been played against Bilbao. Atleast they have 1 point from the match after the draw. Can they escape relegation?
