1901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Flips Coinbase, Now Has Highest BTC for Exchanges !! on: July 19, 2022, 04:38:00 PM
I could almost guarantee that this was caused by Binance removing exchange fees off BTC/USD trading pairs.
Last time this happened the exchanges that had zero fees were laundering a lot of money that eventually forced the authorities to kick their doors down and shut them down for good. I wonder if Binance is on the same path and if they are close to being shut down.

The purpose of this is to encourage traders to make more trades during bear season, but it won't last for long. By doing this, Binance will gain more reputation and attract more users, but since it is not profitable for them, they will end the program.

Binance is the only exchange not cutting staff this bear season and they are working hard to recruit staff and expand their market, with what CZ is doing binance deserves to be the largest exchange in the world.
1902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't sell your precious BTC to the whales! on: July 19, 2022, 04:25:40 PM
I will sell my btc to people who want to buy at a high price if the whale dares to offer my btc at a high price then i will release my btc, i think the whales who play in their market can make the bitcoin price fall for example they release all their bitcoins of course bitcoin will be cheap, so my question is if not the whales then who else would you sell bitcoins to?

When you sell, there will definitely be buyers, this is the action between supply and demand in the market. In the market there are many different whales, they are not one person, or a group, but the market has thousands of different large and small whales and do not work together. Whales here refer to people who have a lot of money and have the ability to manipulate the price for a period of time and are willing to buy your bitcoins as long as the price will turn them profitable.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 18, 2022, 07:30:31 PM
Good to see two legends Baber Azam and Virat Kohli sharing some caring tweets for each other.
Both need to remember :- Every rise has a fall

When a good cricketer cannot find his form despite repeated attempts, his state of mind can naturally break down ‍and in order to move around during this time, he must be supported. He should be encouraged. Babar Azam is doing that. What a cricketer should do. I think they both have  good relationship which is really appreciable.
I have seen that post too - Babar Azam is loved and liked by everyone in Pakistan too. And they have strong bond with Indian players too. Kholi is not in form these days. Either he should try coming back to his career or sky's limit he is talened and he can find his spot somewhere else.
Baber Azam plays from Pakistan, so everyone in Pakistan likes him  Smiley Apart from the differences and political conflicts between the two countries, people from both nations like both the players and love to see their matches.

It does feel really encouraging to see two players having a positive conversation even though both countries are under a lot of political tension. The people of both countries are also quite different in terms of thought processes. I have to say these are the things that make me realize Indian players actually do not want Pakistan to not play in India. If the board was run by actual cricket players who know what to do, we would have seen a lot more bilateral series between India and Pakistan,.

Anyway, I think I am getting too political myself  Grin. There is something inspiring about people not feeling animosity toward their opponents and also about friendly competition.
1904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 17, 2022, 08:09:24 PM
Paris Saint-Germain is a club that has invested a lot of cash to build a competitive squad in Europe. Even though Les Parisiens finished second in the 2019–2020 Champions League, they only made it as far as the semifinals the following year.
Paris Saint-Germain performance declined in the 2021/2022 Champions League when Lionel Messi was there, and PSG even lost in the round of 16 after being eliminated by Real Madrid.
Paris Saint-Germain actually had a chance to go further in the Champions League last season. However, Gianluigi Donnarumma's mistake against Real Madrid was a disaster.
Why the French giants haven't won the Champions League, despite having a star-studded team.
I would guess that the biggest reason why they fail is that they are not used to the tournament style all that much. They are amazing in the league because even if they lose a few, they win more than enough. But, when it's tournament style, you can't make a comeback with a small time left if you are not used to it.
Plus, Real keeps playing against decent opponents, and there are some other teams like that too, but PSG keeps playing against teams that are much worse than them, which makes them a bit more lazy when playing because they are used to winning anyway. Same goes for City as well, so many years of dominating EPL and yet they fail in UCL so far.

There is a major reason why PSG keeps losing at any big stages of football. Thus, PSG has no real competition in the league, and they face their opponents almost all the time in Ligue 1. That does not actually prepare them for participation on big stages like the Champions League.

Obviously, the opponents in the Champions League are not going to be as easy as the Ligue-1 teams. On the other hand, any English Premier League team or even Real Madrid does face a significant amount of difficult opponents in the league. This is why these teams are better conditioned for big tournaments.
1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is yours thought about SLP( Smooth Love Potion) ? on: July 17, 2022, 09:16:51 AM
If you are looking for safe and profitable investment please avoid altcoin now . Because many alt-coins are collapsing in this bearish market.  But their trade volume is seen to be high and also listed in good exchangers , I think they can recover but they don't seem to be that successful and recovery time can be long. BeCareful about to investing .

Bitcoin is the safest but not all altcoins crash, there are still many good altcoins on the market. It is still possible for you to invest in altcoins, but it is advisable not to focus on the lesser known altcoins, it's better to focus on top altcoins. This will reduce your risk and you will have to do all the relevant research on the altcoins you wish to invest in.
1906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: July 17, 2022, 09:16:21 AM
Madrid's achievements last season proved that they have a capable squad, although if they are not very active in the transfer market this season, I still believe that Madrid will stay strong in the face of competition next season. As for rivals barcelona, they have been a bit more active in the transfer market this season, and I think Raphinha and Aubameyang are in Xavi's starting eleven, and only a waiting of see one more striker if Xavi doesn't change the 4-3-3 formation they used before.
Real Madrid only added a few young players for next season in the squad, Real Madrid's strength will not be much different from the previous season. But I also believe they will be able to provide consistent play.
While Barcelona do need to increase their ammunition because they will start from the bottom. In a sense this team has just rediscovered their game since Xavi came. So the steps they took were to increase the stability of the team.
yes it's true, Real Madrid was the best team in Europe last season so I don't think there is a need for serious improvement in their squad while Barcelona is a team that currently lags behind their rivals Real Madrid so it's only natural that they fix their squad to improve further to be able to keep up Real Madrid in the title race next season.

Real Madrid is a strong team. Their performance is stable. And the most important thing is that their match strategy is amazing. In almost every match we see Real Madrid's amazing match tactics. And so Real Madrid doesn't need to waste money on extra players now. If Benzema and Vini stay in form and don't suffer too many injuries, Real Madrid will have a solid performance next season.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 17, 2022, 09:13:01 AM
As expected the pitch is very good for bowlers. Srilankan bowlers have done good job by taking down 5 important batters of the Pakistani side. Pakistan still has Babar Azam but he is also struggling to score runs. If Pakistan continues to lose wickets in regular intervals then it will be hard for the Pakistani captain to keep on batting.
The situation in Pakistan is now very bad. They lost 7 wickets. Although Babar Azam is still at the crease. But no batsman is able to build a partnership with Babar Azam. Pakistan lost their seventh wicket by 85 runs. Now their collection is 104/7. Babar Azam scored 34 runs. Probably Pakistan's innings will end within 160. Pakistan's batting performance depends on certain players like Babar Azam, Rizwan and Shafique.
Sri Lanka's run in the first innings did not look satisfactory but Pakistan's batting disaster suggests that Sri Lanka's run has been relatively good. As the game is still in progress we have to wait till the end. 3 players from Sri Lanka performed very well Chandimal M Theekshana Oshada Fernando among the three Chandimal scored 76 runs for the team.

The pitch is not conducive to batting. Batsmen are facing a lot of trouble scoring runs. The pitch is helping the spin bowlers. And so Sri Lankan captain is using Prabath Jayasuriya. He took 5 wickets. Pakistan has batted 69 overs so far. Among them, Prabath Jayasuriya bowled 30 overs. Babar Azam scored 62 runs off 147 balls. And Naseem Shah has not yet scored any runs in 18 balls.
1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: July 16, 2022, 08:20:51 PM
Barcelona has now got Torres, Aubameyang, Dembele, Ansu Fati, Raphina, Robert Lewandoski as their attacking options for next season, it’s been a while I have felt this sense on confidence on behalf of Barcelona, We few more signings in addition to the already secured players I believe Barcelona are back on track, and I am so excited about the rivalry that would now be between Lewandoski and Benzema. What an healthy competition.

Last season we saw a one-sided La Liga. No other team has contested the title other than Real Madrid. Throughout the season we have seen Madrid's domination. But Barcelona is very strong next season. But we don't know if they can perform consistently. I say this because, although Barcelona's forwards are strong now, the midfield and defense are not strong enough. Winning the title requires not only strong forwards, but a stable squad.
1909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 16, 2022, 07:58:42 PM
Oleksandr Zinchenko is on the verge of leaving Manchester city this summer after the effortless push of the Gunners for the Ukraine international. Arsenal have cover verbal agreement with the Leftback who's one key player for Pep Guardiola. Perhaps his departure won't affect the team as Pep will strive harder for his replacement which is Cucurella from Brighton. Talks in it's final stages as salary and duration of contract in active bids.
He is a young player with high potential.  Arsenal would like to keep him in their squad for a long time if they sign him.  Statistics tell us that he did not have much chance to play in Manchester City last year.  If he thinks he can play regularly at Arsenal, this transfer may make sense for him.
Yeah club talks are positive and all completed. What left is now is personal terms with the player and this will be completed very soon. Zincheno is a great left back and with Tierney struggling with injuries and we not having a proper option (Nuno Tavares) we needed a good signing. Arsenal is smart in keeping tabs on City interests. For example, Jesus about to leave City- signed him, City interested in Cucurella - so sign the player in that position Zinchenko. If this completed, it is very likely that Nuno Tavares might leave maybe on loan or a permanent move which depends on what Arteta thinks whether he can use him again in future or not.

I believe that the signing was for 30 million euros. As far as I know, the transfer is almost completed and the only thing left is Oleksandr Zinchenko discussing the personal terms and conditions with his new club. If they both can agree, he will be moving to his new club.

Nuno Tavares will probably leave the club not on a loan but for a transfer fee. I don't think that Arteta is going to find him very useful later on. I am looking forward to seeing how Arsenal performs in the upcoming season. They have made some really effective changes, and with this squad, they should be able to win the Europa League.
1910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to staking - is this worth it? on: July 15, 2022, 02:49:23 PM
Have just bought £100 worth of Verasity (VRA) which got me 24500 total.

I have just gone to withdraw this to stake elsewhere but noticed there is a fee of 1500 VRA.

The APY for staking this crypto is 18.25% - is this worth doing or due to the fee am I just better off holding?
I disagree on the token itself. I mean what the hell is verasity. Now that I am checking it, it is barely in the top 400, why would you do that? If you really want to invest into something that would make you some profit, and you want to stake it at the same time, then why not go with cake? They have pure staking, not LP or anything, pure staking and you could make a lot of money from it as well when the time comes.

If VRA ever goes up, I believe that Cake would be going up at the same time as well. Or if you are not sure about that, go with ETH or BNB which both have staking features in Binance and you could make a little, but guaranteed income.

No doubt, OP researched all APYs of Eth and Bnb, but since he is looking for a coin that offers more than high APY, he is aiming for VRA, which can generate huge returns in the future, such as x10 and x100. This is probably the reason why he chose VRA in the first place. With this option, it looks like the OP is gambling more willingly to take risks than to seriously invest for a guaranteed income.
1911  Economy / Economics / Re: The fear of Bitcoin monopoly in El Salvador on: July 14, 2022, 09:02:49 PM
I can understand that El Salvador embraced Bitcoin but their way of investing was so haphazard as if they had never consulted anyone who is an expert in financial analysis or good at reading charts.

I remember that there was a chart of the purchase dates and it all seemed random without a solid economic plan as the price collapsed several times after the purchases.

Currently and historically, the price is ideal for investment, but we did not hear more investments, which reflects the economic situation in that country.
On June 30, El Salvador also bought another 80 bitcoins for $19k. This is considered the lowest price they can afford and this purchase is very small compared to the previous ones. Perhaps they have run out of funds to invest in bitcoin and the world economic situation is unstable they are hoarding money to deal with upcoming difficulties rather than buying bitcoin at this point.

The bear market is not expected to end anytime soon, so I hope they have a long-term holding plan and strategy in place.
1912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: July 14, 2022, 08:56:05 PM
I just realized that for the first time there were six teams from Asia (AFC) who managed to advance to the world cup. I think this is new history. I have high hopes for South Korea and Japan in this world cup. although the real challenge will definitely be felt for Korea and Japan because considering Qatar is a pretty hot country so I hope it won't be a problem. even some of my brothers who work in qatar say it's so hot there even at work there is someone who installs air conditioning outside the room. This will definitely be a challenge for a team from a country that has cold temperatures.
I dont think Asian teams can do something on this world cup they just dont have that quality. Maybe they can advance the group somehow but thats the max i see from them. I still dont see how players will survive the hot weather in Qatar on world cup

Yes, the temperature is obviously going to be a problem for certain players from certain countries. But the players will have to adapt.

Personally, I don't think any team from Asia is going to be doing very well. By doing very well I mean reaching the semi-finals of the world cup at least. But I do have hopes that they will perform more effectively than before. Korea holds the most promise for me. But realistically I don't think they will even reach the semi-finals. I see the leading contenders for this world cup as Croatia, France, England, Brazil, Argentina, and probably Germany. I am really looking forward to seeing a really stellar performance from Argentina this time.
1913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the highest APY you have ever seen on a project? on: July 14, 2022, 08:37:54 PM
As high as 800%+ i think but one thing to note is those apy don't last long before the project readjust the whole process, no sane with long term goal in mind will be able to sustain such ridiculous apy any ways.
Such apy are trap to lure new investors who are dreaming to make big returns in a short while but instead they get something different after few weeks of joining. It is better to not chase after project with high apy and just look for project with decent (sustainable) apy.

As far as I am concerned, these are just traps for greedy people who are looking for quick profits. I usually will skip projects or any platform if their APY is unusually high, I don't want to waste time and money on such projects. I won't get any good sleep if I splurge on such high APY projects, I don't know what I will get from them but the possibility of losing money is high if we invest in them.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Luna Classic - Thoughts? on: July 13, 2022, 03:44:34 PM
If you consider it a gamble then we have nothing to discuss here, other than to wish you luck. Gambling will not make you rich quickly, only serious investment will help you have a better life. There are many coins available that can yield much higher returns than gambling. Why not invest in them? Hope you soon give up the get-rich-quick mindset and seriously invest in top projects.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum’s failure to close above $1.3K on: July 13, 2022, 03:30:29 PM
And it only gets worse now,,, I actually thought ETH would not follow Bitcoin down this weekend too, specifically because of the successful testnet merge where everything really seemed to go according to plan.
That certainly I won't believe, always and I think it was forever to see altcoins will follow the trend of Bitcoin and ETH have no excuse from that.
It could be hard for the testnet to go successful this time, as if they want then they have to move it during the bull season as the chance is higher than of these days.
Quote
The other scenario is bulls want the bears to win and pull price down below 1000 again -- dip and surge to 1300 is instant 30% gain, and very easy to happen with these levels.
We can't underestimate the market, the bear still has influence and is hard to defeat. Yet, we are still hopeful for the growing success of ETH someday, we just need the market to recover, not this testnet, etc.

A testnet does not have a huge impact on ETH price. I agree that everything still depends on bitcoin, so ETH will not be an exception. As long as bitcoin is down, the altcoins market is still going bad. The recent events of ETH are not so prominent but this is also a new step on the path of eth's POS upgrade. If everything goes according to plan, ETH's successful upgrade to ETH2.0 this year will have a big impact on the market, which will be the driving force for the market to turn around.
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 13, 2022, 02:01:17 PM
The Indian Cricket Board wants Virat Kohli to play in the T20 World Cup. Although his day is not going well now. Most likely some more matches could give him a chance. However, in this case, there are more players, combination  new and old, they should be given a chance. But now it is understood that India is doing its best to keep the whole T20 World Cup in front of it to do better. However, it is not yet clear whether the player will change in the T20 squad.

Don’t think it is a wise idea to play Virat Kohli in the T20 World Cup. He is not in form at all.

Right now, it feels like experimenting with a young prospect is going to be a safer option than giving Virat Kohli that chance to play in the World Cup. I don’t think he will be able to perform well in the World Cup.

He should have taken a break quite some time ago, but just because of his ego and obstinacy, he did not take a break. His situation is not much better either. If they are thinking about any other players to play in the World Cup in place of Virat Kohli, they should replace Virat Kohli already.
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 12, 2022, 08:02:12 PM
One thing is sure with current system and approach by B-3 ICC can't be beneficial for this game, and we can't expect any positive change in coming years because this mindset is just having deep pockets and this is filled by IPL, so they are feeling happy and staying with same tactics which are not fruitful for game and fans.
Few decades back ICC were controlled by Australia and England, and they were doing things which give them favor, so we lost few good teams and now these two added a Gold Chick which is filling their money desire, and they have strong hold so most chances we will never been able to have very significant changes in game and system.
I mentioned this before. There is a major difference between ICC and FIFA. ICC is a business minded organization, headed by businessmen. All they care about is revenue generation and profits. They have no interest in spreading the game. On the other hand, FIFA is headed by ex-international players and they are not as greedy as the ICC. They spend most of their revenue in popularizing the game (despite the fact that football is already the most popular sport in the world). Anyway, that is the way things work in cricket. We can't do anything about it.

I think we need to find ways to make cricket popular and obviously, that is not possible if the ICC itself does not want that in the first place. Obviously, ICC is not controlled by ex-cricketers and most of the leading personnel of ICC are businessmen. So, it is obvious that they will be looking for revenue rather than thinking about popularizing the game. And I know we cannot do anything. We just have to accept it but cricket is not going to survive for a long period of time if this keeps on happening.

It looks like Chelsea are after Ronaldo and Lewandowski both now but they must be intending to sign one of them now. Honestly my choice would absolutely be Lewandowski if I can buy him. But it seems like a more difficult deal as Barcelona and PSG also seem to be in this race for him. When it comes to Ronaldo his current wage is pretty huge and I would hesitate to buy him at this point. He had a good season the last time in the Premier League but there is a risk that he might not adapt to Chelsea too.
I don't think, Chelsea is still after cristiano Ronaldo because Manchester united coach has spoken yesterday that cristiano Ronaldo will remain with them till next season before they can release him to any team that is ready to afford the money. I believe, Chelsea will like to sign in Lewandowski because many teams what to have Lewandowski in their team in this season so that they will have full confidence of winning next season title to make their fans happy again. I guess, Chelsea president will do everything possible to bring in Lewandowski in this season, because he is among the talented strikers that know how to change game for their favour in any competitions.
Lewandowski is no longer a talented player but a senior player, a talented player is a young player. Also, Barcelona are not in the race to sign Lewandowski, but it is Lewandowski himself who wants to play for Barcelona. If the race to sign Lewandowski was purely meaning that there was no strong desire from the player himself but rather an offer from the large bids made from interested teams, then of course Barcelona would lose early because their finances were in disarray.

I don't think that Robert Lewandowski is going to be a better option for Chelsea when they have Cristiano Ronaldo available as well. But the problem is neither of these players will probably end up moving.

Cristiano Ronaldo is obviously not planning to move from United because we would have heard a lot more things. And the amount of money that Bayern Munich is asking for Robert Lewandowski is just pure stupidity. I do think that both are really viable options. Chelsea should do whatever is most likely to work with their game plan.
1919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gets more attention on: July 12, 2022, 04:54:34 AM
Bitcoin has passed the skeptical period. Nobody is afraid that bitcoin will vanish except the newbies. No one is saying that bitcoin is a bubble anymore, except the enemies of bitcoin.
We have all known the truth about bitcoin. We are expecting nothing than more and more adoption. The power of blockchain is much and this what is keeping bitcoin going.

Companies, organisations and institutions have adopted bitcoin very well, the next wave will be countries. During the next bull run, when El Salvador will run into massive profits, other countries will rush in...

In the next bull market, when companies and corporations investing in bitcoin will reap certain rewards. This will cause a domino effect in which more and more countries and financial institutions will jump into the market in order to accumulate bitcoins. During that period, bitcoin not only became more popular but also its price soared due to the high demand for ownership, so take advantage of this bear market to buy bitcoin at an cheap price.

Perhaps I'm becoming behind the rest, I still don't fully understand the advantages that Web3 will bring us, now he mentions web5, where is web4 located?. With facebook, instagram, twitter for a normal user, I think web2 is enough for them now.

There is still much to be done with Web3, although it has been talked about a lot recently. It is still an emerging concept and we have not been able to exploit its full potential just yet.
