1921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First decentralized Gambling Platform? on: November 20, 2021, 06:20:45 AM
I recently came across this news where BetDEX apparently
What do you think the whole hype is about, how would they be any different from the already existing gambling platforms working with Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies?
It wouldn't just be an empty hype if it's open sourced although there would be no much difference between what BetDEX has in mind compared to the already existing Bitcoin and crypto gambling platforms just the absence of the third party interference. But getting a location been Scotland might call for future regulation it would have been far better if it ended in total anonymousity
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 20, 2021, 06:12:20 AM
It's never been my habit to bet on Bayern since the one time I did, they lost. This is the one club that embarrasses Bayern Munich every time. Augsburg beat Bayern for the third time in their history. Normally, Bayern dominate Augsburg, but Augsburg played well and sat back in defense to win. Whatever, the Bundesliga is working to create a more exciting and competitive league!
One thing I love about bundles liga is it's competitiveness. Unlike some other leagues where games can be easily predicted it's a bit more difficult in bundles liga. Augsburg made another history defeating Bayern with 2 goals to 1. Many bets would be notified just because of Bayern losing. The prediction is becoming more complex by the day
1923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: November 19, 2021, 05:36:57 PM
I have never followed a chess tournament up before I think this would be my first time discussing chess on the forum thanks for the update. Nepo is having a higher odd while Magnus is been favoured to win and since it's gambling both side isn't safe to bet on so I just take the risk and go for Nepo while I wait the outcome
1924  Economy / Economics / Re: Introducing a state-issued cryptocurrency on: November 19, 2021, 04:24:20 PM

I think its a good decision by government.. What you guys think about it?
This is a very horrible decision by your government. Do u believe placing a ban on cryptocurrency will reduce the means by which illegal activities are been sponsored around your country. Technocrats gets wiser by the day they might even adopt the digital currency that would be released to continue their activities. The truth remains no where is safe all that is needed is just a sensitization on the positive use of crypto currency even if they desire to introduce a new digital currency both can thrive together
1925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hillary Clinton: Nation states should pay attention to the rise of crypto on: November 19, 2021, 04:17:23 PM
--snip--

I doubt crypto has the strength to overtake the dollar within a few years for example but there will likely be a solution that rises up that consumers/businesses accept (and we can hope it's not centrally controlled).

Exactly, not just talking about Bitcoin alone but the entire crypto doesn't hold a chance at replacing the Dollar to become world reserve currencies because these things are being seen as highly volatile assets where storing money can only be useful for those who see the price of BTC to be at least a few dollars higher than what they invested at, at the end of the day. I believe centralisation is definitely going to take place once regulations come into effect globally, but that'll take time (not so far).
Definitely true Bitcoin can't replace the normal fiat currency as a major reserve but it would continue to be a treat to many nations economy due to its decentralized nature. One limitations Bitcoin might face in the future is it's highly volatile nature and as long as it's unstable there are no chances for adoption but can serve as store of value for some countries
1926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: November 19, 2021, 04:00:06 PM
If you don't tell your family that you have bitcoin, no one will know about that, and they will not be able to use your bitcoin for anything. Your bitcoin will be store in the wallet without anyone who can access the wallet. I hope you can tell your family about bitcoin and how they can access your bitcoin wallet to use it for their own good.
Writing down my passphrase or private key where only me can access while I'm are still alive and also somewhere where  only my closet relative can access after your demise is just the safest way to ensure my coin doesn't get stucked in the wallet after my demise. Of what use is the whole struggle if no one can access them when I'm completely gone
1927  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cryptocurrency trading is safe than forex trading on: November 19, 2021, 03:55:44 PM
<•••>
Mate both are the same process since both forex and crypto move in either upward, downward or range market. None is more risk free than the other. I would even say crypto volatility is even more higher compared to forex and more chances to blow down accounts faster in crypto trading than in forex same is their ROI.
1928  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start somewhere on: November 19, 2021, 03:44:40 PM
Starting point is a big challenge when it comes to Investment. There are people who find it difficult to start up an investment because what they have is not large. Start your investment with the little you have it will go a long way.

Expectations to have something big to start maybe delayed. Do you know what point you would have reached if you had started with the little which you afford?
Starting small is not the issue but greed that comes with small startups. But if greed can be eliminated growing a small portfolio though it might take time but is achievable with patience and we'll rooted analysis. With a good analysis a little capital can grow into millions of dollar. Many good projects started small and today there is a massive increase in price. The startup isn't the issue it's the patience to analyze
1929  Other / Meta / Can a permanent ban be reconsidered on: November 18, 2021, 06:07:39 PM
if a user gets banned is there any possibility of such user to recover their accounts after some years or are there programs organized by forum moderators that can help users recover banned accounts. The reason of my thread is not to encourage plagiarism nor other offense that might lead to permanent ban.

But it's stressful growing an account from scratch to a high profiled account only to get banned permanently without any form of future consideration. At least a process can be adopted even if it's would be a very stressful one but atleast there should be a way to recover a permanently banned account
1930  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I not lose money in trading cryptocurrency? on: November 18, 2021, 05:56:52 PM
To what i think on my own view i don't know if i can get more knowledge and understanding to this.
You just have to understand the market, you need to be able to study and know when it’s a right time for you to invest and withdraw your crypto currency. And also remember only invest money you know you can make back even if you lose the money.
No matter how long you spend in the crypto trading business you will never get to the level where losses wouldn't occur. You can only get to know how to limit losses but not how to avoid them completely. If one is new to trading crypto it's good to always and always apply stop loss and also set up a risk management memo that serves as guide before any market decision is made a review should be considered
1931  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin up since after Dump? on: November 18, 2021, 05:52:39 PM
The market is indecisive and trading a particular direction could be quite risky. For now it's time for traders to patiently wait for a new break out either bearish for a new dip or bullish for a new peek. No one controls the direction of the market it's the law of supply and demand that determines what goes around the market so for me it's a time where the non-emotional traders prove their stand
1932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store your keys? on: November 18, 2021, 05:48:43 PM
if you had 2000 bitcoins what options would you pick?
Depends if no one except me knows I have 2000 Bitcoin I would quitely store them in a paper wallet but in this very case my identity as a crypto investor is known by people around my neighborhood so definitely it's obvious to go for the military grade vault so I can stay safe because it's becoming more riskier by the day to disclose your indentity as a crypto investor
1933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Corruption In Gambling?? News and real stats (uk) on: November 17, 2021, 06:10:09 PM
What do you think ?
Will this affect the regulations, rules, laws negatively?

Yes it will affect the regulations and laws but not negatively. Those MPs are getting paid to make the gambling regulations easier.
Although they are being corrupted they will still favor the gambling casinos because of the huge money being paid to them.
If anybody else comes in their way, casinos might even corrupt them but they will get their task done anyhow.
This is how corruption spreads throughout the nation. It's nothing new in my nation.
One bad omen that goes with heavy wages is greed and selfishness. It's too obvious the Mps will be easily bought with the huge allocation the recovery from this casinos. And they would start playing politics with the regulation of this casinos bringing in toxic corruption and favoritism. Where huge amount of funds circulates is always the embodiment of corruption I stand to be corrected
1934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bovada removing bitcoin as payment option on: November 17, 2021, 05:59:11 PM
My anonyance is the rate at which online casinos make decisions without passing a questioner so they can get reactions from their users before making any decision. We are gradually coming to a autocratic era where casinos just jump into decision making forgetting their decisions affects their customers. There is actually no legitimate reason for this action. I'm not buying into it at all
1935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 17, 2021, 05:52:22 PM

In Liverpool's match against Arsenal there will be a slight difference as it is rumored that some of the best players from both teams are injured and will not play due to international matches, and it will be the job of the coach to manage strategy and players.
and Arsenal are currently in a very good form and are unbeaten and Arteta has managed to make Arsenal unbeaten in all seasons, but Liverpool is not an easy opponent for Asenal because Arsenal have never won at home to Liverpool.
but it will be a very tense game and if Arsenal lose it will be their first defeat in all competitions.
Despite the fact that Arsenal have now really managed to establish their game, I think that in the match with Liverpool, it will be very difficult for them and Liverpool will be able to win. Klopp's team is now in very good shape and they should be winning. They play at home and will have the support of the fans, and if they lose, Arsenal will bypass them in the standings, which should not be allowed. I think Liverpool will score 2-3 goals in this match.
We will know how good Arteta is if Arsenal  can manage their game against Liverpool. This is one game that has sprung numerous reactions. Liverpool had many of their players on injury and might not be fit enough to play against Arsenal so it should be a loophole for Arsenal to break into their defense and make something meaningful from.
1936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 17, 2021, 05:38:52 PM
Lewandowski can score wherever he goes. But considering his age I think ok, he should stay in Bayern Munich. And I don't think a retirement is an option in his mind right now as he is still scoring like he is in his prime. But honestly, if he goes in some other League he will have much better competition in League games.
I think Bayern Munich as best option for him and keep retirement there because Bundesliga have less competitive than primer league or La Liga, I think is not best option for him keep try challenge on Primer League because there more competitive and now Lewandoski have age old year, not best ideas try with primer league with old years and he will faced difficulties keep playing there.

Yes, that is exactly what I think. But it's not like Lewandowski cannot do very good under those circumstances but it's not like him finishing on a high at the end of his career. He should stay after all he has some best achievements of his life in this club.
Lewandoski leaving Bayern Munich will affect his football career and he might be forced to retire against his wish. He has built a good teammate at Munich where he understands his teammates, going to a new club would be like starting afresh which would definitely take him time to adapt to. Lewandoski is going no where he would keep playing and scoring at Bayern until he retires
1937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 17, 2021, 05:32:09 PM
If we look from the coach experience, Koeman actually has this compared to Xavi now, but in fact Koeman also failed to be able to restore Barcelona performance, I think maybe Barcelona real problem does not lie with the coach, but maybe lies in the quality of their squad so far who obviously couldn't move on after the departure of messi  and several other important players, to be honest I doubt that xavi will be able to do a better job in barcelona than koeman with the quality of the current squad.
Yes, it seems that Barcelona fans have to be patient enough to see their team improve again and in my opinion, if Barcelona want to return to what it used to be, the first thing they have to do is improve their financial condition first.

Well, the financial condition is not going to improve overnight obviously. so, first I think the players should motivate themselves to play better and the coach should play his part in this. Maybe Xavi is inexperienced but as he was a class player I think he might do you better even with what squad he has.
We should draw a conclusion yet you can judge a content by it's outward storage. Let's give xavi sometime to prove this value. For Barcelona to have signed him as the coach the saw some qualities let's allow him unleash them first. Even if he doesn't win a trophy this season his performance will show a clearer picture of what he possesses
1938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ecosystem’s weakness on: November 17, 2021, 05:23:21 PM
That is a good point to discuss. I am always wondering why government is trying to stop such operations if they know very well they getting paid for the electricity bills and also getting the taxes whenever miners sell the crypto for fiat. The whole ecosystem is properly managed by self driven moves. There is no hiding of the assets as long as miners are selling it for the fiat currency and when the money is deposited in the bank accounts.

What I mean is simple, there is no illegal activities as such as long as we are mining and giving back what is government entitled for (taxes).

No one should convince you that the government will be completely in support of Bitcoin mining someday. The government loves to be in charge of what ever their citizens do and would always like to know how much of it is in circulation and who owns which and since it's becoming a challenge to keep stock of this in Bitcoin they are trying hard to track down the mining process so they can get a fraction of regulation on Bitcoin. If the high power consumption on Bitcoin mining can be reduced I think we would help curb this challenge
1939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2021, 05:19:15 PM
So I keep hearing HODL, HODL, keep holding and all that. My simple question to everyone is "when is actually the right time to sell Bitcoin or we don't ever sell it"?

How then do we say we have made money from it if we don't sell?
For a couple of weeks now we all have seen the high fluctuation in Bitcoin price this should give the holder a strategy on how to hold their coin. The goal is to make profit so never allow greed eat you up. When there is a major drop in price it's an indication you buy once you have gotten some profit above the price you bought sell and wait patiently for another dip to buy more. The market is never in a stable form it's always volatile so taking advantage of both the bull and bear season will help you know how long to hold and when to sell
1940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 15, 2021, 09:08:58 PM
Sevilla are maintaining their marvelous performance in the league. Their impressive form has helped them be at top places after leaving twelve weeks behind. There is only a one-point difference with the leader. And taking their recent form into account, they can crush their next target also. By saying the next target, I mean Alaves. Alaves are one of the teams which got very bad results on the first weeks. But these days, they started recovering. They haven't been losing for 4 weeks and managed to win 3 of those games. Sevilla might have some problems but I still believe in them to win this.
Sevilla is the most favorite because is their home match. And I don't think Alaves can draw or win against Sevilla in an away match. Is surely a winning match for Sevilla. Although, we shouldn't underrate Alaves, as this is Football and anything can happen. While Sevilla performance lately is indeed great, and they don't have to lose focus, they should avoid losing points. Because Sevilla are likely to top the League anything sooner. The current leader of La Liga, Real Sociedad next match will be quiet tough for them to win, and might end up drawing the game.
Alaves shouldn't be underrated, Sevilla might be extremely on form this season and are one step below the top table but we should also consider Alaves is beginning to recover from their losses and will give in their very best to see the win against Sevilla and even if the don't it wouldn't be easy for Sevilla either. At this point in Spanish league surprises  will spring up
