That's not a potential solution probably, otherwise, theymos would do it long ago. I doubt 10% of the current active people/activity would be active once sig is disable.
10%? Drop that to 1% and you might have something close to the truth.

Most users join for bounties/signature campaigns and spread their spam across the forum. Is it more important to have a big community or a community that actually cares about bitcoin? How many of these users have bought bitcoin? How many of these users have 1BTC? I doubt it's a high number. I doubt the retention time of their received bitcoin exceeds a month.

These users are spamming because they see the forum as a "job"... something that brings them money in return for low-effort posts. That's not how the forum should be. Especially since we have the name Bitcointalk, having altcoin-promoting users taint every section of the forum with trash is not what we want.

bumping services that managed to did 12 pages (228posts) in just less than 8 hours... how do these paid bumping services manage to did that kind of stuff?
I see a lot of copy-pasted content as well as very generalized remarks.

Something like "The project has a very small total supply. The ICO price is quite high. Hope the project will fly high when listing the floor" was repeated multiple times by the bumpbots. They also had various "good project" and "interested" replies at their disposal. By staggering these and repeating over and over, you can easily get 200+ replies quickly.

Since the accounts are disposable regardless they don't care about bans, hence the blatant plagiarism.
Edit: Nice, full wipe. Shocked
1925  Economy / Reputation / Re: possible merit abuse - leonard2016 on: July 24, 2019, 04:57:00 AM
Lauda is being taken for granted with his (mafia) colleagues! abusing system but still on the loose but these members are being unforgiven to those who abused the system! double standards dickheads.

Quote from: talktotransformer.input(xolxolQuote)
the only thing is that, what has happened with the president is very different to the mafia! when i was in power the mafia would threaten people and then make threats to harm me when i was done with their people ! it was very clear that it worked, even when it was in the midst of the most brutal and violent episodes of violence against us. for example, some year back they threatened me directly by saying i would be killed if i did not give information about organized crime. i was extremely angry and tried to talk to them but they used the threat as a weapon to silence me! of course this was done by using a very, very, very dangerous system ! i would urge everyone with experience in mob law to watch for the same thing . i have seen that situation in other countries and i have seen it in my own country too . how many times in the past 5 years have we seen mafia members calling, threatening the people of other countries and then being in an emergency after making such threats? and we had to resort to some system just to cope with the crisis ? no, it should be the other way around ! they should be the ones to take responsibility for this situation and not the mafia ! I do not understand where this mafia is taking the blame ! This was the most evil mafia ever ? We all know about the mafia as our enemy and enemy only, but why are they calling for the killing of anyone ? If we ask ourselves is the mafia's behaviour towards us different today then perhaps ? They might be different today then ?

How does it feel to embrace your own word salad?
1926  Other / Meta / Re: Partial plagiarism in bounty program on: July 24, 2019, 02:15:36 AM
If I somewhere in the report did not indicate my link, it means that I took someone else’s template and simply did not notice that I left someone else’s link.
Is this understandable and not Huh?
You are trying to tell a Staff user that the reason they gave for your ban was wrong.

Okay.
1927  Economy / Reputation / Re: Yobit support not responding on: July 23, 2019, 11:59:32 PM
YoBit support tickets have been stuck for multiple years at a time. Some never get resolved... and were created back when the campaign was active pre-2019. (yeah, old.)

It is highly, highly unlikely to receive a response from an exchange that publicly pumps and dumps coins as well as organizes ponzi "IEO" tokens.

somebody has definitely hacked my old password, this was very simple. But he cant change password due he dont know secret answer and post some messages.
Now i cant more find this post which on screenshot.
You do not need the secret answer to change the password.
Anyone who gets into an account would most likely change the password... though it would be smart to delay the changing thereof in case the user notices.

Then again... if someone's password/security is weak enough to have been cracked, are they really likely to adhere to proper security practices and monitoring?
I have now more problems with payouts from pool:

ZEX: ZLkDLTns4QhbiyJ4T3wLzzhTWo8VqkTj2f      26.30958828

support please repair your wallets and resend manualy.

This is something I found.

Trouble is, how do we know that the owner of this account didn't try to sell it? Any signed address is irrelevant when discussing this point.

Not only for a long time... But I think that it will be here for ever.
It is a main characteristic of an open market that works 247 and trades are executed all the time.
I believe it will be here for ever and I hope so.
I agree.Bitcoin's volatility will definitely remain forever because this is what drive people to keep on investing into bitcoin and expecting huge profits when the price strikes into at its peak.Maybe if it happens that volatility will decrease,i'm sure there will also be a lot of people will get dissapointed with bitcoin price movement.

And so it was decree'd, the Bitcoin volatility stays indeed!
Never shall we see stability
A mere myth of history
Finestream and Naida, two prophets state
Hours twenty-four, days seven, volatility remains great!

You said it, not me:

do you think we are stupid enough to ride with your dramas?

And you decided to respond to the thread... fueling the drama. Stupid.
im here to justify your little gang's stupidity.
Finally, I can be proud to say that I now own the gang. Ah yes, the gang that rules over the forum with an iron fist. We have theymos wrapped around our finger and the various moderators ready to censor at-will.

Centralize! Centralize!
We are the gang of Default Trust!

We farm merit among to fuel our lust!

Centralize! Centralize!
Stop account traders stealing our campaigns!

Centralize! Centralize!

This is almost certainly an attempt to get someone to post on their account for signature rewards.

You can find similar shite services off fiverr. Roll Eyes

Yes. That is exactly what you are doing right now.
1936  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! First anniversary! We made a change thank you :) on: July 23, 2019, 12:37:14 AM
@wwzsocki, as I wrote in my previous post, there is no more need to work any more, now we just monitor the forum for possible spam. There are report boys on our side now, we are much stronger.
Fighting the HQ sig. spam is not an easy task so we gave up on this one.
There is still rampant spam all across the once-beloved Bitcoin-centric boards.

Economics and Speculation, as well as Bitcoin Discussion (to a lesser extent) are covered in spam. I look over megathreads every so and then to clear it of spam. Slowly but surely, they learn their lesson.

After all, there's only so many "A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator." that one person can take, not to mention the fact that if they don't post well, they won't earn their weekly peanuts.

exactly...you guys are so dumb.
Settle down, kid. If you want to make some money, I'm sure you have a local McDonalds that needs their patties grilled.

If that's not for you, I'm sure you have a local MacDonald that needs their buns filled.

1939  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cloudbet accepted deposit, but no withdrawal on: July 22, 2019, 10:38:54 PM
I'm sorry to hear of this withdrawal issue @bitcoin_stealer, but I'm glad that you did receive your funds.
What you mean you're "Glad"? Are you implying that only some of the lucky chosen customers are able to withdraw their funds from your website on time? lol It's shameful how one has to wait for ages to get their own money.
You're reading too far into it. Let's not dissect semantics to try and wring out some conspiracy.
@actmyname - I'll try and get some definite numbers that I'm able to share, I do think that would clear up a lot of the speculation and be a benefit for both sides.
Glad to see that. I'm hoping you'll have the results soon. Hidden terms are not beneficial to prospective customers. Smiley
1940  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] 2011 Casasious SERIES 2 1 BTC BRASS COIN!!! on: July 22, 2019, 10:35:35 PM
lolol omg...
How old are you? Shouldn't you have been in school while you were posting in this auction thread?

lesbiancow sent me a fukcing message that i dindt see.
You wanted to sell a coin... and you didn't see a message... but your auctions had no bids prior to this one... so you continued to avoid the message... and now you won't sell the coin because you are backing out of the auction.

LOOK AT MY PAST AUCTIONS!!
I have, dipshit.

O, fair one, how distraught thy words make me
For it is not the pain of seeing
But rather the pain of being
My inner monologue brandishes this coin
Scratch'd by my fingers like my herpes-crusted groin
An offer below what I ask? Refuse! I refuse!
Accept the next bid to avoid flak? Bemused, I cannot lose!
And so to the bays of E I shall depart
To grace with coins I inserted to my box of farts.
