1921  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have good news for the hodlers... on: February 20, 2014, 11:05:00 PM
I don't think it can get much lower than what it currently is. Too many people are getting the feeling "now it's a good time to buy".
1922  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is LocalBitcoins now the most reliable price indicator? on: February 20, 2014, 11:00:07 PM
But what if localbitcoins is the future of exchanges? I feel pretty OK with that idea. I'm not into selling my bitcoins but I'd put some orders on localbitcoins just to support the idea.
1923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is LocalBitcoins now the most reliable price indicator? on: February 20, 2014, 10:39:33 PM
actually it's a good idea. conventional exchanges suck big time, only problems. Yesterday someone from my social circle came to me asking to buy 1 bitcoin because "the price was pretty good finally for buying in". I laughed into my palm and asked 600 euros for 1 bitcoin. The dude then said "that's too much" and we never talked again. These idiots are now popping out and thinking that gox prices should be demanded everywhere Cheesy
1924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its Thursday In Japan - Withdrawal Update Coming Within Next 12 Hours on: February 20, 2014, 07:25:56 AM
it takes like 2 weeks to just download the blockchain from scratch...

That's odd, it takes me under two days from a clean install.

Maybe he lives in Niggeria or something?
1925  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upcoming MtGox Movement on: February 20, 2014, 07:22:44 AM
MyMt. Gox 185$ and falling as we speak. I think bad news are coming because why would they start selling TODAY when the news are about to hit.
1926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Female Bitcoiners on: February 19, 2014, 03:30:50 PM
only female bitcoiners are allowed to call other female bitcoiners female bitcoiners. otherwise it's racist.
1927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone sending out MilliBits on: February 18, 2014, 10:30:05 AM
My address received this strange transaction lately. However, that address has not been written anywhere so the attacker had to just discover it from the block chain I suspect. Another theory is that this is some kind of bitcoin terrorism. People who have nice round balances in their cold storage get them ruined.

There are some interesting public notes there:
Public Note: Hey, give me back my 20 Bitcoin

Public Note: If you are reading this, please take some time to remember those who died 12 years ago today in the WTC attacks

Public Note: Whoever you are, you're epic.

edit:
there's some more suspicious activity, look this address: https://blockchain.info/address/1AgesqfafUHHpAWnmjj9g6TVqBGXk4ixxg

A lot of coins are sent to all possible addresses that start with 1Ag

According to Mendelejev's table, silver is Ag.

ONE MORE THEORY:
What if the attacker has targeted just one address? However, to make it less threatening it has added a bunch of other random addresses to the formula? Then people such as myself who get disturbed by this activity start making posts to this thread and are immediately connected to their address by the forum user.

and one more:
Some of the destination addresses have spent their input except this suspicious input. Maybe the attacker tries to pin point automated wallets? So if the suspicious input remains unspent but other balance is spent then there could be some automation in place which could be abused with the transaction malleability vulnerability.
1928  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it my imagination or does Bitcoin tend to gravitate towards $666 on: February 17, 2014, 12:39:21 PM
It's coming again! 664 currently in stamp already
1929  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin trending down. Dogecoin trending up. on: February 17, 2014, 01:41:24 AM
Only idiots want to invest in an investment that could lose them everything overnight.  Do you think Warren Buffet is going to be buying bitcoins?  He's the smartest investor in the world and he shuns them.  He realizes that bitcoin is a bubble ready to burst.  For whatever reason we have a group on this forum that believes that they are smarter than Warren Buffet.  I'm with Warren.  I trust him.

He sure isn't the smartest investor in the world if he fails to see the potential of crypto currencies. I'd say he's just another old fuck who has gotten rich and takes the credit from the idiots who can't live without idols, authorities and geniuses to follow.

Anyone can pull theories out of their ass, and if one has some scientific achievements backing them up the more arrogant they get. Soon these broken theories get referenced in further scientific work and once everyone forgets that they were initially and still are just plain hypothesis people start to believe in them. Have you ever been inside Saturn? Has John Stuart Reid been there? I don't think so. It seems to assume that Saturn isn't hollow and thus the theory immediately gets rejected by me.

You want a better explanation of why there's hexagon on Saturn's poles? LOOK THIS VID:

Ok, you're a cool dude then.

Whats going on?

Fuck your swastika's and pentagram. Here is your occult 666 symbol.

6 Sided Hexagram
6 Triangles
6 Pointed Star

And this symbol is right out of the occult ramblings of the culture/race who are 'calling out' the great beast and his number to begin with.

To be honest, swastika really doesn't belong on that picture. However, not sure why you got so butthurt, are you jew or something?

If you want more satanic symbols, then have some from Saturn:

Bitcoin is the destroyer ov Cosmos!

There's nothing strange with the price gravitating towards 666 because that number represents the hard rules of this reality that represents the solid matter and life. Wealth comes from possession and one could only possess material values.

All Living organisms Must contain Carbon to exist on Earth as Physical Life.

Carbon: The Bulding Blocks of Life.
6 neutrons,   6 protons,   6 electrons.

it's so easy to troll the speculation forum

Again with that chart... You are new here, right?

+1

you can compare anything with that chart these days.
1936  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp - wanted to withdraw money and was hit with these weird KYC questions on: February 14, 2014, 11:43:20 AM
If they just ask these questions but will send the money anyway then I'd have no problem with that. However, with this topic I'm starting to prefer other means of bitcoin-to-fiat conversion. I wonder how much fiat fits into these Bitcoin ATMs and does localbitcoins ask you these questions?
1937  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BISTAMP! on: February 14, 2014, 11:30:55 AM
Thanks OP for this topic. I wouldn't have thought they would start asking question even on the BitStamp side of business. I knew that banks would ask questions but Bitstamp, come on. This whole stuff is moving more and more to the direction of avoiding banks at all when doing bitcoin business. There is now an obvious need to launder even legit money to have less questions asked. If they start asking questions they might as well freeze your balance and this risk I'd prefer not to take at all.
1938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont fall for Marks strategy. Read b4 making any trade decision. on: February 14, 2014, 11:15:36 AM
Call it tin foil hats or whatever you like but the only one thats SURE to have benefits from this crash is Marks and his associates.

They terminate all withdrawals (btc/fiat), so now they can control the crash on their exchange.

As such, they will keep pushing down the price of their GOX btc and buy it up while selling them on other exchanges. They will keep doing it until your btc fund is practically worth nothing and they can happily allow you to withdraw your coins.

The question is..... are you their pigs getting slaughtered?

Edit: ALSO THE FACT THAT THEY STILL ALLOW BTC DEPOSIT does mean their slaughter house opens for pigs!!!

Now, where have I seen those blue balls before?

1940  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox & Karpeles still blaiming bitcoin protocol -> price crashing on: February 13, 2014, 11:42:18 PM
Let's blame Satoshi Nakamoto for this! Let's give that bastard to the court! I bet this backdoor was specifically planted by Satoshi himself so that he could exploit it later and steal coins.
