strange, I have bought tons of thermaltake products and never had a problem with any of them.
1942  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUIDE: Five easy things to screw-up and overlook in heavy duty mining. on: September 27, 2011, 12:52:20 PM
Since you guys are discussing this I will let you in on how I was able to have four GPU's tight in together in a case without using pcie risers or special cables and I get very good temps, the highest temp is 64 degrees Celsius.

There are 11 GPU's mining in my small office. A 12.5k BTU window air conditioner takes care of the cooling. Because winter is coming I modified the Air Conditioner (some air conditioners like mine will shut off when its cold out site) by taking the sensor and putting in on a long wire and having the A/C sensor actually sit inside one of my GPU's that way it always thinks its hot. Plus I made a thick plastic cover that partially covers the air conditioner to trap in some of the heat on the outside . I use this on cold days because the air conditioner will freeze itself and stop working if it's too cold out side. The plastic cover keeps some of the air around the outside of the A/C and keeps it from freezing.

Now as you can see in this picture I have a desk immediately in front of the a/c you can only see one of my rigs on the desk but there are two there, both have a fan that blows the cool a/c air a crossed the gpus and they both have a powerful sucker/blower fan attached to the back where the gpu video connections are on the back of the PC case. These fans suck the air from the gpu's and blows it away, this keeps cool air constantly flowing a crossed the gpu's and hot air constantly exhausting.

roswell is crap.

You want a really good PSU without breaking the bank?

Get a Thermaltake TR2 750 watt

I have two thermaltake PSU's a 750 and a 1000 and they are both amazing.

Would advertisers really be willing to pay for ad space on a community site where the majority of topics are composed of people advertising their own businesses? You're more likely to get a click by simply plugging your service as a "discovery" or "announcement" and pasting a link to it for free. You can even bump it up every once in a while to get more free impressions. And if they want more ad space? Just post more!

With all due respect you need to think beyond what is going on right now. This site is going to function like a fully functional social networking site just like facebook. It will have Bitcoin business profiles and it will also have games, and blogs, and lots of other features. On Facebook you can go and register a free profile for your business, and on facebook people still pay to advertise. Of course I do not expect us to be as big as Facebook but only a small portion of that pie will be enough for all the shareholders, which by the way there are 4000 shares sold to people other than myself right now.

Let me give you a precedent, one of the first things we did too attract people is this Bitcoin Mining Rig builders competition. Now of course we have not made anything off of this, but we currently have four outside sponsors that are paying real money just to be associated with this thing.

I am sorry for everyone's pessimistic attitude but I believe in this thing and we are going to make it work.
1950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinConnect - The Bitcoin Social Network - Business Plan [Official Statement] on: September 26, 2011, 06:47:28 PM
This is not even justified considering the 'business plan' is shorter than a brochure for toothbrushes. Now it's safe to say this is aggressive pollution.

why the negativity? I am sorry but I disagree with your attitude. We need to evolve the Bitcoin community past these forums and that is what I am working on doing. I am trying to be a part of the solution and not the problem. I will not respond to any more non constructive comments. Thank you.
1951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CoinConnect - The Bitcoin Social Network - IPO & Business Plan on: September 26, 2011, 06:45:17 PM
This business plan is lacking numbers. Cool, I see where you want to create value but where's the value for its supporters? Where's the money?

Frankly, it's shallow; shallow to the point to where there is little information to act off. This would barely serve as an introduction to a proposal much less an entire one.

There's nothing that truly defines your service. What have I gotten from it thus far? Bitcoin + Social Network with extra wording. You've tried to sell me on a ambiguous box with 'social network' written on it. If that was your goal, congrats.

Anyways, I wish you the best. : ) I hope your actions say more than this plan.

Immanuel: I appreciate your feedback.

Although I have been running my own computer repair business since 1998, this is the first time I have ever put together a business plan or even tried to get investors before at all.

I have an associates degree in computer information systems and am working currently working on my bachelors. I have not taken any formal business training, but I do know how to make money.

If this business plan looks like it was put together in 30 mins, your absolutely correct.

I did my IPO on GLBSE yesterday and was surprised to see over 1000 shares sell right away before I listed any kind of business plan what so ever. This prompted me to get one out there today as quick as possible so I can share a little bit about what I want to do. I will however will be refining this as I go along.

Cold hard facts it is lacking, this is a start-up and the total amount of all the shares I put up for sale only equals about $500. I am not applying for a $10 million dollar line of credit from a bank.

The facts are this.

I have a lot of time, money and energy tied up into this great currency called Bitcoin. I really want to see it succeed and I truly feel that through the very profitable and popular media of social networking we can make some money and integrate Bitcoin with the rest of the world.

Giving your cold hard numbers is difficult, again this is a start-up - but I am promoting it like crazy and things are slowly gaining momentum. I encourage you to stay tuned and stay interested, I have a lot of really exciting new features coming to the site and I will be going public with the advertising rates and more specific information on how we can turn this site into money.

Thanks again for your constructive criticism, and if you have any specific advice for me - please feel free to PM or email.

Robert Dobbs is my brother and business partner in other projects. He has absolutely nothing to do with CoinConnect other than the domain is registered in his name because we have been using Domains4Bitcoins.com to register domain names and they just used our contact info from previous purchases.

Domain name whois info has very little to do with ownership of companies btw. Smiley

I guarantee you cannot find a fortune 500 company that has a corporate officer listed in the whois info of any domain names that they own.

and the about us page has not been written yet but if you would like to buy some shares and take a crack at it I would be very pleased if you did so Smiley

As hard up on logan you were about being timely, I would have thought you'd been on top of this.

btw: did you even read that thread? He lied thats why I made such a big deal about that. It was not about timeliness.
It was about honesty,
