1941  Other / Meta / Re: Does BitcoinTalk kill all my sessions when I logout? on: December 09, 2022, 06:51:17 PM
I am a Tor user. I logged into BitcoinTalk with Tor by choosing 'always stay logged in'. Then, by mistake, before I log out, I did a Tor restart for a new Tor identity. This killed the tab with BitcoinTalk session. Now, I have created another session to log in through Tor. When I'll log out from here, will I be logged out from the other session as well? If not, then how do I kill that session, on which I have lost control?
I think your question has been answered and maybe the problem is solved.
My experience is exactly the same as most people, when I logout from one of the two devices then all sessions on the other device are also logout. The same thing happens when I'm login via incognito tab, when I logout the other session also logout. TOR or any browser should also be the same, there is no difference.

But what is your problem, do you feel something is wrong or are you just asking because curiosity?

Thank you, and thanks to everyone who's PMed me with congratulations.  I have to admit it's weird seeing a different username on my profile, but I'll get used to it and am grateful to Theymos for granting me my wish.
I will really miss the name "The Pharmacist" which has now changed to "TSC". This new name is long, but I think I prefer to use his last name instead of his full name and I hope you don't mind that. Chymist, I have congratulated you via PM but it seems I would love to celebrate here too.

I also recently noticed that one of our board local users had successfully changed their username. Theymos is probably being kind and granting some user requests, of course because the reason for changes may be perfectly acceptable.
1943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 09, 2022, 06:21:57 PM
If Liverpool is in a positive trend phase, I'm sure, the Liverpool vs Madrid match will be a very exciting match and not only for the fans of these two clubs. the reason is, this match is very important for The Red considering the match is a revenge event for Klopp and his troops to overthrow Madrid in the last 16 round later. it's just that Liverpool's situation is showing unstable performance, especially in their domestic league.

Even so, this match will not escape our attention as football lovers who like to involve betting in it. however, both Liverpool and Real Madrid still have time to prepare their teams for this match later. especially for Klopp, he has a lot of homework to do. if not, Liverpool will be even worse off in either the Champions League or the Premier League.  however, for the PSG vs Bayern match. this match is the most anticipated match in the round of 16. and hopefully, will present a very interesting match.
If you really want to expect Liverpool to knock out Real Madrid in the Champions League then I think the round of 16 is the time. Real Madrid will not be knocked out of this competition easily as they are specialists and experienced enough, but it is always possible to expect Real Madrid to lose and be knocked out of the Champions League although Liverpool have mostly failed to do so so far.

Remember that Real Madrid has knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League far more frequently, so I don't think Liverpool's fight to reach the quarter-finals will ever be easy. Liverpool can do it if they win at home by a large goal difference, while they only need to defending at away match from home vs Real Madrid.

This world cup tournament has certainly got more tricks under its sleeves than we coukd possibly have imagined. Never for once have I thought of Vrazil being eliminated and just before I was done projecting them to be the favourite contenders for the title, Croatia deemed it fit to eliminate them.

After the Neymar Jnr's goal, I thought it was all over for Croatia but these guys just ddnt give up. They worked there way right into the Brazil's box to get there equaliser and dragged the game to a penalty.

Good enough for them, they've got a good pair of gloves in there goal post to come through for the team in penalty shoots. This guy Livakovic is just too good!
I never really expected Brazil to knocked out like this by Croatia. Brazil's failure to win this match is very disappointing, especially for those who support them to win this tournament. On paper Brazil were the favourites, but they were very nervous throughout the match so Croatia really controlled the game well. Actually Brazil should be able to defend victory when they are ahead, but Croatia never wanted to give up and today all Croats are proud of what they achieved. Congratulations to Croatia, they are dark horses who have made it to the semi-finals so far.
1945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 09, 2022, 08:46:59 AM
For sure Brazil will win the match, but I'm a bit sure Croatia wouldn't make it easy, If we look at the odds, the draw (1x2) position is look good to bet the money. Yes, I know when looking at the material squad from each line, Brazil has better than Croatia but who knows when kick-off begins, Croatia adjusts the defensive scheme and tries to gamble off the penalty shoot as they did it before.
Draw betting is a bit risky, but there is always a chance to win. I tend to believe that Brazil will win this match from the first half, indeed I don't underestimate Croatia but when Brazil becomes the opponent, I don't think there is much to do other than defend.

My question is, why don't you bet on a Brazil win instead of a draw, is it just because the odds of a draw are higher?
They say Brazil is more convincing, but you don't take advantage of the advantage to bet on Brazil. But for small bets, I think it's safe to choose a draw or Croatia to win. No surprises, this is the Brazilian stage.

Congratulations brother, you are now in the 4K club. You've handled it perfectly so far, so next year I hope you'll make it to the 5K club.

I can't even qualify for the 2K club until 2022 is nearing its end, but I'm very close to 2K already. Maybe I'll get there soon when I find something good things to share with this community.

For you, keep it on brother.  Wink

The match between Netherlands v Argentina, the team that is at least predicted to win is Argentina if I refer to the currently available odds which are 3.xx : 2.xx. But in my prediction, I personally am pretty sure the Netherlands will win.
Because in some considerations from the several opportunities I got about Argentina, at least I have a little doubt about Argentina but I also don't underestimate Argentina. Therefore, I personally am quite sure that Netherlands will get a good result at this moment, I just don't want to get hung up on a big name like Argentina has about Messi.
Argentina has better statistics than the Netherlands, especially in terms of possession.
On average, Argentina has 65.2% possession, while the Netherlands only has 51.5% in 4 matches so far. However, the Netherlands is superior in terms of goals per game where the Netherland average currently scores 2 goals per game, while Argentina scores 1.7 goals per game.

The goal statistics for the two teams are currently not much different, including in terms of goals conceded per game, but Argentina has the advantage where they often control the match with high ball possession compared to other teams. But statistics are statistics, this match will be very different. In general, Argentina favorite in several things including because they have Messi in their squad which is likely to make the Netherlands have to be very careful with him.

I don't think my request was an unreasonable one, and if it was it'd be nice if I'd at least gotten a response one way or another.  I'm sure Theymos is hard at work developing the new obsolete forum software, but I know damn well he reads threads like the ones I've made, so that's the reason for my FU to him.  I calls 'em as I sees 'em.
I understand why you're so emotional right now, but I'm not sure it will sway theymos enough to agree to your request. I agree about one positive you might get once you decide to stop reviewing posts, you'll probably have plenty of time to do something more useful for the forum while still being a merit source.

Your request is reasonable and I completely support your wish, but you still can't force theymos to accept your request until now, maybe things will change later. The Pharmacist, you can still contribute as a merit source and stay that way even if you take a break from reviewing many post.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 08, 2022, 09:44:51 AM
Yes, both matches are pretty hard to predict. That's why I will not bet anymore on the World Cup games. It was much easier in the group stage event though there were some surprises.
Predicting the Argentina vs Netherlands match is much more difficult than Brazil vs Croatia. The Netherlands has the advantage of being expected to win against Argentina even though the probability of Argentina winning is still higher. However I can expect Argentina to win that match over the Netherlands and that is my initial prediction for Argentina. Currently Argentina has @1.3 odds, while Netherlands @2.5. For fun during the match, I think it's safe to bet on the victory of one of them.

While things are clearly different for Croatia, they really weren't expected to win against Brazil. I have looked at several betting books and all are favoring Brazil to win so the odds for Croatia are really high. On some sites, the Croatian odds are close to @8, that's clearly a trap for bet.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 08, 2022, 09:31:43 AM
Anyone is at high risk of losing money due to being mugged in a country with a high crime rate. You might be safe to put something of value in a public place in Singapore as there is not much crime committed by people there. But I really believe, in countries with very low affluence, people are more likely to commit crimes and even risk physical harm.

Regarding your topic, obviously I think it takes place in an area with a fairly high crime rate because people don't have enough money to live on. There you can't say how much money you have in public or even your own friends, so you should always keep your guard up. There are many risks to gambling in physical casinos, so many people are starting to consider online casinos now.
1952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 08, 2022, 09:23:10 AM
If many predict that Brazil will win easily against Croatia, I'm also sure that many believe that in Argentina.
It could be that Brazil vs Argentina is the most likely option in the semifinals, but I personally feel unsure and still very confident that the Netherlands will advance to the semifinals even though the Netherlands don't have as many big name players as Argentina do.

If in 2014 in the same tournament in the semifinals the Netherlands lost to Argentina on penalties, then for the Qatar world cup the situation could have been reversed.
I hope Argentina wins against Netherlands in the quarter-finals and Brazil also wins against Croatia so that the two can meet in the semifinals. I personally did not underestimate the Netherlands in the match against Argentina, nor Croatia against Brazil. At this stage all the players will try to give their best which is expected to be of benefit to their country. Argentina is my favorite against the Netherlands, so I'll be support for their win.

But whatever it is, both matches are really difficult to predict so I wouldn't be completely sure the favorite team will win the match easily. The Netherlands have proven their worth, and so have Croatia. So no one should underestimate any team at this time.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 07, 2022, 04:30:07 PM
~~~
I know that Napoli's big plan this season is to win the Serie A title. At the moment things are going well for them and Napoli have the upper hand on the table with an unbeaten record. Napoli are absolutely great right now and will probably be just as great after Serie A restarts, but it's always possible to lose that best position in the table if they lose concentration and consistency.
I hope Milan will still struggle to reduce the points gap with Napoli when Napoli lose points in the next game. But for something, Milan is also not always consistent with its performance. That is the problem.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 07, 2022, 01:27:54 PM
since the last few seasons Napoli have always been able to compete at the top of the standings but the problem with this team since the last few seasons is consistency, they often can't be consistent until the end of the season so that they have to lose their best place.
but if you look at the game so far I think it's a different season for them, a lot of changes have happened in this team.
True, Napoli's problem in the end is that they always fail to win the Scudetto. They played well with their best form, but I always found it hard to believe they would be able to win the title because they lost consistency quite a lot in the last half of the season. That's why I believe other teams like Milan, Inter or Juventus will have a good chance at the end of the title when the season is drawing to a close.
and for AS Roma at this time it has indeed developed after being handled by Jose Mourinho, and they have just built a better team therefore of course this takes time especially now that Serie A has developed more competitively, I think it took a long time for AS Roma can return to its former glory.
Roma can get back to their former glory but I think they should invest more in squad depth. So far the players have been good and really shouldn't be underestimated, but of course other teams are still better than them so it's always possible for Roma to drop points in big match.
Portugal with all the advantages of its players will not have too much trouble facing Morocco. I'm sure Portugal is very capable of beating Morocco even though Morocco played defensively such as holding Spain to a draw for 120 minutes.
Portugal's game pattern is much better than Spain's and I don't think Morocco's strategy will be able to survive without conceding. Spain lacked punch in the Moroccan area, but Portugal was clearly different. Portugal have a lot of great strikers, so of course they will benefit.
This is where the real advantage of Morocco and they really are ready for penalties. Spain missed with 3 kicks because Yassine Bounou really saved those kicks perfectly. It doesn't matter how bad Morocco's statistics are because the most important thing is to win and qualify for the quarter-finals, and now I congratulate Morocco.
Spain in the end had to admit defeat and exit this tournament in the round of 16. Their failure was very unexpected, but I can say they played well in this match. Spain should have deserved to qualify for the quarter-finals, but unfortunately it failed because Morocco was very well prepared for this penalty shoot.
1957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 06, 2022, 05:40:16 PM
Though I didn't watch the match but from the comments, it is crystal clear that Morocco played really well today, it's been a goalless draw like I predicted in my previous comment here.
Even if Morocco didn't get a chance to score a last minute goal, I am hoping and praying for them to win the match even through the penalty shoot out, their performance against against Spain is really outstanding and showed they prepared very well for the game, I am still surprised that Spain didn't score all through the match even with the second extra time, it's Indeed a great performance from Morocco, I congratulate them.
This match was very tiring because Morocco defended well throughout the match. Morocco also counterattacked well but unfortunately they failed to score in every chance they had but it was good luck for Spain. Now it's penalty shootout, I hope Spain can really take advantage of this moment. But of course now Morocco has a chance to beat Spain.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 06, 2022, 03:54:00 PM
Morocco vs Spain The game between these two teams has started. So far neither team has been able to score. I can see the quality of Spain's game in this match. However, it is not clear which team will score until the end. The team that wins this match will be able to play the next match and the team that loses will have to get ready to go back to the country.
Spain was less creative in the first half so it was difficult to create goal opportunities despite dominating this match well. I didn't see any Spanish striker having a shot in the first half which made the match a little boring, while I saw Morocco threaten the Spanish defense a few times. I hope Spain's strategy changes in the second half and they make a few attempts to score. So far I see them really winning with their match, but the players' lack of creativity in making chances has allowed Morocco to hold them to a goalless draw in the first half.
1959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 06, 2022, 03:41:12 PM
Let's see what Madrid will do in January. Are they going to buy new players or not. At least the world cup gives Anceloti many options to replace Benzema. So not with Mbappe or Haland Madrid will still choose a striker even though their characters are different. Anceloti must be able to take advantage of everything that is available, don't rely on those who have no intention of joining Madrid. Especially after the World Cup, of course Madrid has many views of other talented strikers.
Of course there are some names that deserve Real Madrid's attention during the World Cup, maybe Madrid haven't shown their interest openly but I'm sure they will. The time has come for Real Madrid to look for a replacement for Benzema and Ancelotti himself may do so in the next transfer window. But I don't see Real Madrid in much of a hurry to replace Benzema after they failed to find Mbappe, but it's reasonable to expect them to do so in January given that Benzema has been injured quite a lot recently.
1960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 06, 2022, 02:25:29 PM
Unfortunately the team we support has been eliminated from the round of 16. For me, Japan still lost with honor. They were able to keep their form up to 90 minutes with a draw and forced Croatia to win on penalties. This is a great world cup for Japan. Unlike in 2018, in this world cup, they are in 1 group with the 2 best world cup teams from Europe, Germany and Spain. they are going to this round with top standing.
The failure of the Japanese players to take a penalty gave the impression that their players did not have the mental strength when facing one on one with the goalkeeper. They were able to hold out for 120 minutes, but when they had chances in the penalty shoot-out, that was where the mentality of the players was tested.
I'm not surprised by the failure of Japan and other Asian teams because I think Croatia and Brazil are really much better quality. Japan lost honorably, I don't think so, but they may have fought for a place to the end.
Now it's time to wait for Spain vs Morocco, what do you think?
