1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: April 11, 2018, 07:04:18 AM
If I stake ark, do I have to leave my computer on?

Thanks in advance

No you don't need to have your computer on unless you are a delegate then you need to have a node. But if you just wants to stake then vote for a delegate and that's it

More info about what are Delegates: https://ark-guide.readme.io/docs/what-are-delegates
The list of the 51 Delegates is constantly changing, I'm not sure where can you find a list of all of them and their "proposals", but this is an ARK-explorer-kind of list of the delegates: https://explorer.dafty.net/delegateMonitor . You can then Google them and see what are they promising to do.

Things to take into account before voting,
  • Some delegates are just pools, meaning they distribute about 90%-95% of the ARK they forge to the votes. Some others might distribute 50%-90% but help with marketing and/or developing the ARK ecosystem.
  • All delegates will have rules that apply to votes. Since they'll have to pay a transaction fee of 0.1 ARK every time they pay their voters (0.1 for every voter), some Delegates might require you to have a minimum amount of ARK in order to be eligible for payments. Others (at least ARKland) will just take the cost on themselves. Some pay daily, others weekly etc. Make sure you research a Delegate before you vote.
  • It costs 1 ARK to vote and 1 ARK to change your vote

When will we be able to withdraw from Cryptopia??? :/

best to ask them

I do kinda "spam" them on twitter every day but I don't have any expectations from Cryptopia, I know their quality of support. It's more likely I'll get an update from ARK devs even if they're not the cause.

For New Traders:

All altcoins going with BTC bubble. Ark going even deeper. Milion news, conferences, publicity = ark stay or go low.

Nobody uses your system, while you "did so much" nobody of youtubers say anything, price didn't move UP last months. Great job.

ShitCoin, go search other.

For Hodlers:

Crypto is brutal.
Ass fire event time START:

I'm pretty sure you were telling the same things about Bitcoin 5 years ago, right?

Interested in this coin but I unfortunately don't have time to sift through all 500+ pages, can anyone tell me briefly in point format what functions of this technology are currently working and what the timeline is for the rest to be implemented?

The first 5 mins should answer your question, but better watch all 20 mins of their conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaS3hXHVSdc

Hi, everybody. Can't I understand the app on your phone already came out on ANDROID or ios?

It's on Android for months now, actually I think they launched the coin with the mobile wallet ready. They're on a "wait-line" from Apple until they can be accepted into iOS store.
1966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Allvor: cryptocurrency for e-commerce powered by the XRP Ledger on: April 06, 2018, 12:15:56 PM
There doesn't seem to be any way to add trust lines if your wallet is on the Ledger Nano S so, I'll just have to pass.

Mobile mining has nothing to do with real mining.

This is completely true.

I understand it's to attract more adoption to the app and people using mobile devices but other than that I really don't like the fictitious mobile mining, it just does not make any sense.

I don't like it either. They've could call it "airdrop". Why say you mine when in fact you don't mine. And why giving people with better smartphones more coins (after benchmarking the phone) ?

Ofcourse it's an airdrop, but they prefer to call it "mining simulation", which is fine by me!
Also, this kind of "airdrop" makes very good sense: Since the team is aiming to strike deals with companies from the mobile world, they need to offer something in the negotiations. That "something" will be phone users with ETN coins waiting to be spent, even if they're not miners with expensive rigs.
But this plan is linked to the price of ETN.

Any hope for this coin?  I am holding a decent sized bag for the last 3 months Sad(((   hope is wearing thin....

Their team is active on Discord, I just wish they were as active in the forums keeping us updated on their progress and next targets.

I can only agree:

I tried to withdraw LTC to my wallet, got this:

Quote
Withdrawals are not currently available

Withdrawals are not currently available in your account for this asset. Your account funding limits may have been exceeded or the asset may be tied up in open orders or positions. If not, it is probably just a temporary technical issue - please check back later and contact support if the problem persists.

my limits are not touched and nothing is "tied up"

its just 100% plain bullshit from KRAKEN.

Good thing I just tested them with a small amount of money. These guys are now on my super suspicious list!

I remember getting this message before their update two times (different dates); on both occasions I just tried again 5 mins later and it worked.

Can you please tell me exactly what the " 24 Hours Actual*** " column represents? Does that mean that if I started mining exactly 24 hours earlier , that's the actual real profit I would have made?

Yep, it's the actual profit made from the past 24 hours. It's what we call a "lagging indicator".

Maybe you guys should write a short version of what happened because it seems a lot of people think you wanted to make a new thread just because you had nothing better to do!
Something like "Because of the previous thread owner leaving project, we had to create a new ANN thread and Discord."

Just noticed ETN withdraw fee on Cryptopia is 10 ETN. They are greedy it seems, too bad for them...

Their Doge (which is much cheaper) withdraw fee is 3 Doge but ETN withdraw fee is 10.

Why ppl would not just sell their ETN and use other coins?

Smiley

little bit expensive.... my phone mines for 3 days just to cover the fee... dissapointing...

Come on guys, 10ETN is like $0,2 now. Not THAT expensive, it's just mining on phone isn't profitable at all.
Mining with a CPU/GPU is also not profitable.

But it was right? Now maybe not, since Bitmain has his ASICs running full power before he send them to customers Tongue

But isn't the difficulity and hashrate the same as it always were, before the price rise and fall? It doesn't feel like someone is pointing a huge amount of hashpower to ETN.

10 ETNs are like 4$ of the ETN's fair price, just because it's oversold by zero-knowledge people it doesn't mean I'll go by that same calculation.

Hi dev/Team,
What was the reason that FirstBlood get delisted from Bittrex. Was it about the volume or because Bittrex try to follow SEC rules in the Unites States?
When FirstBlood will have it's on blockchain?
Thanks

It most likely was because of low volume. I can't find any connection between rules and 1stBlood.
Also 1stBlood is an ERC20 token, therefore it's connected to Ethereum's blockchain.

ded. start over.
"nothing" and "ded. start over" are not very professional words to use though, he could have added the word "OLD" in the thread's name and posted the link to the new thread in his post.
1977  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Starting bounties in 2018 as a newbie on: April 02, 2018, 08:56:27 AM
How much time is needed to reach higher levels on this forum?

1) Consider you need time in order to write constructive posts since only that kind of posts would give you merit
2) You need even more time alongside luck in order to write enough posts and some of them to draw the attention of generous people who will merit you
3) There's also a formula that calculates the time you're registered and limits the maximum amount of "activity" you've got, but that's the least of your problems to be honest! xD
1978  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Starting bounties in 2018 as a newbie on: April 02, 2018, 07:00:33 AM
There's a big gap already though, between new acounts and about 3-4 months old accounts since the Merit system was introduced. Most people can at best reach member rank now.
The amount of merits required after that are in theory possible to obtain but the fact is, you have to become very well known to the community or have friends with high ranks in order for people to merit your posts.
1979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: April 02, 2018, 06:41:45 AM
I was thinking today.... wouldn't it be great if there was an autoexchange pool for miners? Maybe one delegate could offer 99% or 100% of the forged coins to voters, use Bittrex to autoexchange mined coins to ARK and then keep fees from the mining as a reward.

Or maaaayyybbeeee.... something like that already exists and I don't know about it? Roll Eyes Please enlighten me if you know something!

The GPU selection in v3 is very weird. I get to pick how many cards to use but not which?
I want to run 2 instances for different cards, but what's with the "GPU Count" field? How does that work?

You can always edit the config.json file to specify which cards you want to use! ;-)

Oh so it was there! Darm is this written in the readme? I don't think it is, I didn't notice it anywhere!

Also, now that I'm running it, I see that it automatically fetches my BTC balance from the pools, but I have chosen the LTC as the payment coin. Can you please add a variable when reading info from the pools so that it gets the same coin that I've set as "Pwd Currency"? Smiley
