Ah... this BitcoinCash fork is making people confuse what a fork is! Undecided

Hello there, please can you advise if I need to do anything with a desktop wallet I have please,  and also spins  on any exchanges?

If I put all on nano ledger by the date of next week, will this be ok please ?

Also does the form mean extra coins please?

Thanks in advance.

The desktop wallet is very easy to update, it'll pop up a message when the update is available and you just confirm it, it downloads, installs and it's done!

Now, you also need to understand that a fork doesn't usually means that there will be extra coins! A fork is happening when a coin is upgraded. If half of the team disagrees with the upgrade, they might propose a different coin which will be forked from the original, but this is NOT always the case and this is NOT the case with ARK either. This have happened with Ethereum/Ethereum Classic, Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash and now again with Bitcoin Cash itself.
So you don't need to worry about the fork, every exchange will update sooner or later and every wallet that works now will keep working.

The time has come. ARK Core v2 is now ready for launch. We are proud to announce the final and now official release date of Wednesday, November 28th. On this day we will break the champagne across the bow as the completely new vessel leaves dry dock and begins the voyage into the oceans of decentralization.

I'm glad this thread is not filled with hatred against XRP for taking the 2nd place, probably for good this time! Grin
I'm sure many people (me included) loves both XRP and ETH, they're two different project with different aims and the market cap is not an indication of which is best... nor there should be a single "best" coin.

Personally I prefer other solutions than Ethereum, but I still support Ethereum! This is the way the community should behave and not like BCH's stupid hatred.

Craig Wright said that bitcoin will not be around by the end of 2019 Cheesy he is a funny guy.

And he's right.... if you consider the fact he thinks of his version as the "real Bitcoin", then yes, his "real Bitcoin" probably won't be around by the end of 2019... though I personally give it a few weeks life, not 12 months. Roll Eyes

Since my answer was not answered at the previous page, I'd like to repeat it here,

@ARKteam, is ARK Core v2 ready to accept decentralized apps (dapps) or we have to wait for ARKVM?

I'm also glad I kept some dry powder in case the market would fall! Later today I'll buy some more ARK and will be on my 100% of my intended investment!
Personally I gathered some ARK for use in projects built on ARK, hopefully we'll see a few games built on ARK at some point.

I'd like to thanks BCH-fork, market manipulators and weak-hands for this chance! Grin
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: November 19, 2018, 08:37:03 AM
I don't like giving attention to attention-wh***s but this Craig guy is just the worst kind of human!

He'd do anything for the money and when he realised he's persevered as the untrustworthy person he is from the community, he started throwing dirt to the competition... why, I wonder? To throw the spotlight to others while he hides? Hoping to damage the competition in order to gain himself? Or to take as many more as possible down with him?
He's just disgusting!

Forget private keys, if Craig Wright was Satoshi he could post his now defunct bitcointalk password on Twitter...but he can't even do that.  Also, since everyone in the thread is retarded, my bottom call around 10 months ago was "probably stabilize around $4200-4400 with flash crashes to $3000", while Tera's was "might drop as low as $1000".  You can build a statue in the town square of whoever the winner is.

Are we gonna have another bull run or this is it ?

This is it. Instead of cashing out later you should cash out now.

You tried to get rich. It just didn't work out.

Time for you to look for something else.

Buy NVDA stocks before they report earnings later today, wake up rich tomorrow and buy crypto in stupidly low prices!

Time for a "golden-oldie":

You're late, you grabbed your popcorn on the credits!
I was in my seat early! Grin

Oh so that's why I don't see the trust score under users' posts anymore, people are trading negative trust like it's a ping-pong ball!

This coin and brought me a good profit. I think the development team has created a very good and high-quality product.

But most importantly, they keep building it in an unparallel speed! I wish they had a spot for me in their team, they seem to be talented if they can work so fast and do so many great things with only a few coders.

Yes, they keep building it in an unparallel speed but it seem no one give them any respect because the price of Ark say it. When we comparing Ark to shit projects like Lisk, Cardano, Neo, Tron etc.. they can pump high, getting more respect and hype without any working tech. The question here is can Ark team be like them or up to their par when the Ark tech do work or mostly working on v2

Many other projects pump their price with unethical means.
For example they may pay people to give good reviews on them, pay for people to post and bump their thread, or even worse manipulate their coin's price. I'm sure there might be more tricks available which I don't know of.

Look at ARK's thread though! It's a clean, nice environment with the developers' updates easily found in every page. ARK is not wasting resources to have spammers keep the thread floating and it seems like they're not manipulating the price either. They're just focused on their work.
This strategy is sure to pay in the longer term, when serious companies and projects start looking for professional and trustworthy partners.
In the short-term, unfortunately the only way to get some attention when everyone else is playing dirty, is to play dirty yourself. But I prefer ARK staying clean and losing on the short-term if it means winning in the long-term! Wink

I read the first sentence....
"Our first Testathon was a great success! Multiple bugs were discovered" I stop and think "what the hell is great success in that? Keeps reading... "and subsequently fixed in the PRs." and I relaxed!  Cheesy

GJ team!

If it's not paid in fiat or BTC or any other top coin, we're not earning 15$, we're earning nothing!

But at least spend some time to explain what this CLM is... One sentence description and a link for more info would be enough.

People wondering what's happening today, are confusing decentralised governance with decentralised prices.
Most coins have decentralised governance by their nature, but it'll take some more years until BTC becomes price-decentralised; right now few people control a lot of wealth and there's not enough liquidity to support the price, one whale can manipulate it as they want it.

As for today's fall, I don't believe Dr. Clown did it, he most likely wanted to make people FEAR that he might have tanked the market and that he has the power to do it again, that's why he tweeted this (https://twitter.com/ProfFaustus/status/1062751765601361923) AFTER the price had fell.
1134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin Price May Take 700 Days To Rally Back To $20,000 on: November 14, 2018, 11:56:33 AM
I've stopped reading online articles that involve anything other than hardware/software reviews and new technology announcements.

Especially articles about cryptocoins are most of the time jokes. There was a "research" lately which was mentioning how much worse BTC mining is for the environment in comparison with mining of gold and other metals... however the comparison was with the electricity and the emissions because of the electricity production! Not about the diesel the mining machines and trucks might use or the damage done to the ground and the mountains!!

The FUD is so strong that I feel like I'm stupid for just wasting my team to read crap like that.

Kind of hating BCH right now.
Weren't there always reasons to hate this atrocity? Though... I don't think the fall has anything to do with BCH.

If my maths are correct, ArkLand (vmunich on the forums?) is sharing 100% of the ARK received through the ticket sale plus 247 ARK from his/her own wallet? Amazing as always!
Though... I feel like I shouldn't post this info yet... someone could buy all the tickets and have a sure chance in winning! However, after the tx fees the win would be too low to bother.

I wish that after Core v.2 some bright developers will create D-Games for ARK!
Ethereum seems to be getting a few but with ARK's bridges, faster transactions times and the higher amount of supported programming languages, it'd make sense for new D-Apps to be developed on ARK.

Right now I'm playing Axies Infinity and I've noticed how bright the future of D-Games are! However, right now people MUST buy Ethereum in order to make any purchases in these apps and games, but with ARK's bridges you can use any supported coin you hold (and ofcourse pay the ARK's gas/fee), as long as the developer of the app wants to support other coins.

I think ARK has a better scaling too, thanks to the D-PoS governance system, so we won't have to worry for increasing fees.

On the November 15 2018 Bitcoin Cash hard fork

Bitcoin Cash will hard fork on November 15 2018 around 4:40 pm UTC as part of a scheduled protocol upgrade. This upgrade is more controversial than previous ones and may result in multiple viable chains after the fork.

Initially Kraken will only support Bitcoin ABC, which follows the Bitcoin Cash upgrade roadmap published by bitcoincash.org. On November 15 Kraken will prepare its Bitcoin Cash (BCH) wallets to be Bitcoin ABC specific so that coins from any alternative chains will be retained and not sent out from our wallets in withdrawals. We will not support any alternative chains for funding or trading on the day of the fork. We will then monitor the situation in the weeks and months after the fork and evaluate whether or not any changes to our stance are warranted, including the possibility of supporting an alternative chain. However, we make no promise or guarantee that any alternative chain will be supported. Clients who want perfect control should withdraw their BCH from Kraken prior to the fork.

For more details, please read our most recent blog post on the upcoming November 15 Bitcoin Cash (BCH) hard fork: https://blog.kraken.com/post/1917/on-the-november-15-2018-bitcoin-cash-hard-fork/

I'd say, de-list it and be done with this joke! Cheesy
By the way, wouldn't it be beneficial for both KRAKEN and ARK to have a collaboration, since ARK is an old, stable and strong project which is listed in many exchanges already but among the fiat trading possibilities, only USD deposit and trading is supported through Bittrex.
ARK is also a business entity in France (https://blog.ark.io/ark-creates-a-unique-business-entity-827c488c7fb8); I believe it'd easily pass any check you do before you list a coin.
