I started the application and saw field "select account container" empty. Container's name (the file in the directory /opt/utopia/messenger) should have been displayed here by default, which corresponds to the account nickname. The most surprising thing was that this file simply disappeared from the system and now I can’t access my account (just don’t voice conspiracy theories that someone close to deleted this file from PC and don’t offer platitudes, like check the trash etc).
When starting up and creating a new account for the first time, there is an option to customize the location for the wallet files. Maybe then you set some other non-default target. If I were you, I would still search the disk space. The wallet file is in the format of something you entered during the creation of username.db

I see the same value here. Maybe there was some unconfirmed transactions when you saw
Is there any way to do the same thing but add customization and show number of confirmations and/or unconfirmed transactions? There is an API to monitor the transaction. For example, the last (confirmed) transaction Royse777 posted here i.e. how it looks: edit: now I see that the idea is to expand the monitoring of the address balance

I'm also trying to capture the essence of the advantages of this tool, but I'm not doing well. I would really like to hear some meaningful explanation.
However, I would like to ask if your script requires entering a private key at any time.

Compromising your bitcoins is not ideal. I will not risk my coins with cheap unreliable hard wallet. If I don't have the budget to spend on hard wallet I would rather store my coins in electrum. There is question how much safe to use that 8$ hardwallet, and I think OP can not answer that. It is better to avoid unreliable options with decent amount of bitcoins.
We don't have to be exclusive against such ideas. Cheap hardware wallet alternatives are certainly a good direction and in the future, they can bring positive benefits. Imagine, for example, there are people who need a larger number of hardware wallets, there could be many reasons. OP's initiative here is fine, more people involved in the development can only bring benefits.

I just wanted to look for this campaign thread to leave it here as an example. I agree here, this was one of the better review campaigns. Win-win situation, the participants received a solid reward, and tested the platform, while the owners received many useful impressions and pointed out potential shortcomings. I guess the review campaign should primarily serve to get direct opinions from users, paying complimentary feedback often seems fake and may not always be appropriate.

I'm too lazy to search the forum for answers, so what was the problem? It wasn't just a bitcointalk and reddit issue, was it?
I would even say that this measure is mostly aimed at NSFW content, Bitcointalk had no need for it. But as far as I can see, Uploading NSFW images straight to Reddit is also now allowed. It is high time for someone to create an alternative platform for these images. Everyone felt helpless and unsure of what to do, particularly the original poster (OP) of the announcement thread and the bounty managers.
I guess you didn't see this TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk

Recently, Binance has changed some deposit addresses for its users, which they said is due to security, and some of the forum users here were on the support list as it is good for such acts for security reasons.
Can you explain what exactly is negative here and why this change of deposit address would be a signal of distrust? I don't think that CEX exchanges should be trusted indefinitely, even if we are talking about Binance but what you stated is certainly not the reason. Hotbit Exchange has now announced that all CEX operations will cease as of May 22, 2023, though users will still be able to withdraw all of their funds prior to June 21. They believe the former management employee, who quit working there in April, was involved in a project that violated Hotbit rules. ( https://hotbit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/8074249353495) They don't believe anything, it was like that last year. Hack/theft of part of the funds deposited in that exchange, where some of the culprits were employees of Hotbit. Somehow, they managed to continue their work, it is quite possible that this case completely damaged their reputation and credibility. However, the possibility of withdrawal in the next month is a much better situation than what we had with FTX, where everything was stopped in a short period of time and without notice.

I do not know if referral matrix based websites are allowed here. But if they are allowed here then I am looking for Campaign Managers. If you want to check website then comment or DM and I will share.
If this is not appropriate section for this request then let me know where to move this topic.
If I may ask, what are "referral matrix websites"? Is it something like this that Bestchange does, who work as monitoring exchangers, but take profit from referrals who use other services through them? Anyway, if this business is not illegal, there is no problem to start talking about them. I would recommend Royse777 as campaign manager, he is quite open to innovations in running campaigns.

I would like to become a lender like others on this forum, but as you can see from my account, I don't have the necessary credibility to operate like others.
You need to be proactive in different discussions through this forum if you want to earn some credibility. Other forum members must meet you, to see some of your views in certain situations, problems etc... As in offline life, based on your behaviour and reactions, you gain a reputation, so it is here. Do you think I can act as a lender by leaning on another user who escrow and who holds the collateral?
Of course, you can, that is the most desirable scenario, to use escrow for collateral. You just need to be sure and know how to define all the conditions. I see that you are somewhat more active in gambling, I have to say that I think that it is not the smartest thing to deal with lending, to keep someone's funds, and at the same time have a tendency to gamble. It seems that things can go wrong very easily.

Isn't the description "Organization of Bitcoin and related projects, bounty campaigns, advertising etc." for this board a little wrong? I know that it was written in the early stages of the forum, In the meantime, bounty programs got their own section, maybe there should be a small update here. Older and more serious members know that bounty programs and their problems are not discussed here, but every now and then new offers or attempts at discussion by wannabe bounty managers appear. I believe that maybe this is not a "big deal", but considering that I visit this part often, (I am always interested in seeing new ideas), it can be boring to read about bounty problems or cheating in some shit token campaigns. Although everything looks like spam, it seems that it is not even only their fault. A couple of recent examples Thread: Cheater scamAt present one person can use multiple accounts in Bounty camp in but it was not like this before so is the quality of our work decreasing day by day I request moderators and those who are in higher position to control this work
or I am bounty professional managerI'm from the Project Development Baunty Management Community. I want to run a bounty campaign with your project. Let me know if you're interested. There's no scam accusation yet not even listing a token will not be considered a scam, this is not the first exchange that is closing, it will just create panic if an exchange will close and you create a scam thread. We will only consider it if an exchange ceases operations without announcing or informing the community and many investors cannot withdraw their money, this thread should be in the service discussion.
There have been reports of manipulation in the past but announcing that they are ceasing their operation cannot be considered a scam attempt.
OP edited the initial post, now it is perhaps the closest to the real situation. Yes, Hotbit has given a period of 30 days to withdraw funds, which gives room to consider them as non-scam. I see on my account that withdrawal of Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT is currently not enabled. Given that it is no longer possible to do any conversion here, the question is what will happen to the funds of those who have significant amounts of one of these three currencies.

Important info for everyone who may have Idena on the Hotbit exchange, they are closing down. The deadline for withdrawing funds is June 21, maybe it's best to do it as soon as possible. Dear Hotbit users, For 5 years and 4 months, the Hotbit team has been proud to participate in a wonderful crypto show with 5 million users. However, it is with great regret that we have made the decision to stop all CEX operations from May 22, UTC 04:00. We kindly ask all users to withdraw their remaining assets before June 21, UTC 04:00. This decision is based on three reasons: Firstly, the deterioration of the operating conditions. After the Hotbit management team was forced to suspend operations for several weeks due to the investigation in August 2022 ( https://hotbit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/8074249353495), the industry has experienced a series of crises, including the collapse of FTX, bank crises causing USDC off-peg incidents, resulting in continuous outflows of funds from CEX users, including Hotbit, and deteriorating cash flow. Secondly, the change in the crypto industry trend. The successive collapse of large centralized institutions has led the industry to gradually in two ways: either embrace the regulation or become more decentralized. The Hotbit team believes that centralized exchanges (CEX) are becoming increasingly cumbersome, with highly complex and interconnected businesses that are difficult to comply with, whether for compliance or decentralization, and are unlikely to meet long-term trends. Since its beginning, Hotbit has been characterized by providing a rich variety of assets and value-added methods. Hotbit was the first exchange to list numerous emerging assets, including SHIB, KSM, GRIN and so on, and was the first to offer staking services starting from ATOM, as well as the first to conduct Defi mining business using Compound. However, due to the industry's uncertainty, various opportunities also contain many risks. Hotbit has also suffered numerous problems, such as repeated cyber attacks and the exploitation of project defects by malicious users, resulting in significant losses. Therefore, the Hotbit team believes that the operation model of supporting a diverse range of assets is unsustainable from a risk management standpoint. That’s all, with so many joys and tears, our show is over. We want to say thank you and take a bow now. We still believe a bright future about crypto innovation and some of us will still fight for it.

It doesn't look so. It's the same image on the website as used in ChipMixer website, make sense but why would the image say ChipMixer or BetterCallraul, they could simply mention about BetterCallRaul in the image, mentioning ChipMixer makes no sense in my opinion. Anyway, it doesn't matter anymore. It's either seized or it's an exit scam. I don't know how they procedure the transactions, there's no chance of anyone getting back their fund. I have tried to find authentic news, somewhere it would have been mentioned but I couldn't find any. No press has mentioned such a seizure. Maybe an exit scam I also find this more than suspicious, I don't see why the Chipmixer logo would be used in this case. The TOR version is just deleted, without any warnings or notifications. On these two pages that are indicated, they do not have any details about this case nor are they mentioned. https://www.justice.gov/https://rfj.tips/DuhsUpThis is very bad of them. Mixers should not be allowed in the forum again because they are not reliable.
You are thinking very aggressively here. Bettercallraul is not a mixer service, but a decentralized, no KYC exchanger, fully private, etc... Now with this knowledge, should we request that all exchangers must be banned from the forum?

Yes, we have thank Laszlo Hanyecz for the Pizza day, he really did something big to the community,
Here is the iconic post:
Pizza for bitcoins? Years ago, when Bitcoin Pizza Day was discussed, everyone was talking about Laszlo and this strange initiative of his. Is it known if Papa John's immediately cashed in that 10k BTC, or he saved at least part of it and thus in some way used such a gift from Laszlo? If Papa John's cashed them in for that $40, what it was worth then, they have just as much reason to yearn for that moment.

They gave a only one month to withdraw funds from there, announcing on his blog and Twitter. I don't read their blog, nor do I follow their Twitter account, yet I didn't receive any email notification about this closing of the business. I have a unique domain name I own that currently is not being used to its full potential and am possibly looking to sell it or collaborate with someone who may be up for a collaboration?
Why don't you write your entire domain here and its history? Domain is very important for every business, but it doesn't have to be crucial. However, most often one first has an idea about the business, and only then does one look for an adequate domain. If you would give more details about it, you will probably get some useful tips, and instructions on what the possibilities are and what to do next with it. It is also very important what your interests are, so logically the website or service you start should be oriented towards that topic. Sincerely, I believe that a unique domain is not enough for someone to enter into business with an unknown person. The initial capital in that case cost only a few tens of dollars in the most expensive case and that is not an unaffordable amount for anyone with an idea.

What you mean exactly ? Issue is solved, Sinbad.io is working fine, I have no particular problem and since the incident was resolved, the site is stable from my side. Also, I think the issue has already been solved, I believe that rozenbaum would have announced himself here again if there was still a problem. Although I saw many phishing sites related to the Sinbad service, I wouldn't be surprised if he were the victim of such a scam.
