Some people think that Valencia will win the game against Getafe. But I can't say that I'm so sure about it. Because these teams both are close to each other in terms of power and performance. We witnessed it in the last season. Valencia couldn't beat Getafe in the last season. In this stadium, it ended 2-2. And Getafe beat them 3-0 in their home stadium. And Valencia couldn't beat them for 5 head-to-heads actually.

I think this game will end in a draw.

Gladbach - Bayern Munich match is going on right now. We have left 20 minutes behind and Gladbach are 1-0 ahead of Bayern Munich. Plea scored their goal. But Lewandowski is playing in this match. If he adapts to the game quickly, we can see him having a big role on their win if they can make it. But of course, I don't underestimate Gladbach. As they are ahead also, it won't be easy for Bayern to turn the game around.

https://www.goal.com/en/news/juventus-close-to-finalising-locatelli-switch-from-sassuolo/27bkm0ra7bsn1ahudtlh0o9az

It seems that Juventus are getting really close to finalizing the deal with Sassuolo for Manuel Locatelli. He has been strongly linked with Arsenal so far. But it seems like Juventus will interfere and reach an agreement with Sassuolo. After seeing his performance in the Euro 2020, some big clubs have started observing him.

If you bet that Lille will become champion again, you can earn a lot of money. It is actually unbelievable that that team became champion last season. And in the draw they are even in group 1 of the Champions League. PSG will easily win the title. Even without Messi they would.

It's not surprising to see that their odd for being the champions is not very low. Because teams like Lille can't make it to the title in this league consecutively easily. Because PSG are far better than all of their opponents. And they have strengthened their squad even more now by signing Lionel Messi. But we can try our luck of course by betting some money on a different team to become champions.  Grin

Now, it is time to talk about the Brentford - Arsenal game today. I think it is a quite decent game for the opening of the new season. Brentford are one of the new teams in the EPL now. Everybody is eyeing them about what they will do against Arsenal in this game. I'm also curious about their performance. Ivan Toney is their deadliest threat to their opponents. He is like a goal machine. The 25-year-old scored 31 goals and got 10 assists in 45 Championship games in the last season. I wonder if Arsenal will be able to defend him well.

My choice to bet on is: Both Teams to Score

I've heard some news about the Kane transfer to Manchester City. It's said that City are preparing to offer £127m to Kane soon. And Kane also wants his future to be clear as soon as possible. He has already been aiming to leave the team this summer. Hence, he will hope that City finalize this transfer before the end of the transfer window. But I don't know if City are able to sign him without being prevented by the financial rules.

And another game which could be really exciting is Dortmund - E. Frankfurt.

Dortmund are incredibly strong with Haaland now. And he's already started the season awesome in their DFB Pokal game (he scored 3 goals). This guy is just playing insane! He is literally unstoppable. And I expect him to maintain his great effort in this game also. With the help of Haaland, I think that Dortmund can win this tough game maybe with a 2 goal difference.

As Messi is officially a PSG player now, I wonder whether he will be able to adapt to the team quickly. If he doesn't have any problem with playing with Mbappe side by side, then there will be no coherence problem. He has already played with Neymar at Barcelona so I haven't even mentioned him.

Messi is joining a PSG Galactico team, adaptation is less of his problem. Messi will be playing alongside Mbappe, Neymar, Verrati, Gini, Di Maria, Icardi, Ramos. A team full of professionals

The onus now is on the coach to get the best out of the squad. Champions league or nothing

Messi indicated that he wanted to win the Champions League at least one last time. And they can achieve this success while having Messi here. But it won't be easy that's for sure. There are many assertive teams in this tournament. And we never know if an unexpected team will make a surprise by winning the title. Chelsea did it in the last season, for example.

It is claimed that Sevilla are willing to sell Jules Kounde now. But it looks like Chelsea are not very willing to sign him as they don't want to meet his £68m release clause now. I think that it is really too much for the 22-year-old defender. But Chelsea have no choice rather than this one if they are certain to buy him. I can't actually call this as Sevilla are willing because then they would have a more merciful asking price.  Grin

Im not sure if anyone shared this already but Messi will be getting PSG Fan Token as well as part of his wage

The link contain the official source from cnbc.com

Yeah, I've seen the news. Honestly, I wasn't expecting such thing to happen. I didn't know that Messi was also into cryptocurrencies.  Grin  It's a fan token in the end but its price can go to a really high level. When it was clear that Messi was coming, the price increased at a great rate.

And this is a great way to promote cryptocurrencies and their fan token also.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/08/11/transfer-notebook-aston-villa-tottenham-james-ward-prowse/

I've heard that Tottenham and Aston Villa both are trying to sign Southampton's 26-year-old midfielder James Ward-Prowse. He is valued €30m now. But I don't know how much he would cost to one of these teams if this transfer happens. He is a valuable player for Southampton now. He had 8 goals and 8 assists in the league the last season. I wonder if any of these teams will succeed in signing him.

My first wish will be for a healthy season so we could be entertained more without any excuse because of injuries.

That's true, injuries killed the hopes of our favorite teams last playoffs. 3 of the favorites to win the championship had one of their players injured.

LA Lakers, - Anthony Davis
LA Clippers - Kawhi Leonard
Brooklyn Nets - Kyrie Irving.

Also, we have Jammal Murray who was injured before the season and has been ruled out in the remainder of the season.

For Nets, not only Irving was injured actually. Harden was also injured for a long time. In fact, there were some times that both of them were injured at the same time. Kevin Durant had to carry the team those times. He still did a great job while they were injured. But it was too hard for them to promote to the next round against Bucks like that.
1994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 12, 2021, 01:30:28 PM
Tottenham are in talks with young Inter striker Lautaro Martinez (23) now. Maybe they are thinking of the possibility that Manchester City can still sign Harry Kane this summer and they want to have a backup plan for that. But as Inter have sold Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, I assume that they wouldn't be willing to sell Martinez also.

I'm not sure how City will be able to afford Kane and be within fair play rules after signing Grealish. They're also leaving it late, especially since they're playing each other in the first round.

~snip~

I also worry about it. Because Manchester City have spent 100 million pounds to be able to sign Jack Grealish. It must hit their finance hard. Of course, I don't know how much transfer budget they had before signing Grealish. But this pandemic period has affected nearly all of the clubs. So, the clubs don't want to spend incredible amount of money and be under the risk of staying out of the financial rules.

Gladbach - Bayern Munich game is open for any kind of surprise. Gladbach are not a team to be underestimated. They defeated Bayern once in the last season. They can do it again. So, I don't think of betting on this game. Or maybe I can bet on both teams to score.  Grin  Because I think that both teams are very capable to score even at least 2 goals.
1996  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stock Market, Fundstrat’s Tom Lee predicts Bitcoin has a shot at $100K on: August 11, 2021, 10:31:20 PM
I agree with Tom Lee here. Considering Bitcoin's quick increase, why wouldn't it be possible to see the price at $100k? Maybe it wiil happen nearly on the last day of the year but I feel like it will definitely happen. As many people are predicting this level, I don't think that people will be very surprised if it happens. Rather than being surprised, they will be really happy to see it.

According to the news, Roma manager Jose Mourinho will talk to Tammy Abraham tomorrow to convince him to join his team. As Inter are closing in to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko, Roma seem like they have started searching for a new striker. And Tammy Abraham is one of the best candidates for them. Chelsea have already signed Lukaku and they have Werner also. I don't think that Abraham will get much chance here from now on.
1998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 11, 2021, 10:21:39 PM
It looks like PSG have ended their interest in Manchester Utd midfielder Paul Pogba (28). After signing Messi, they have used their financial power fully. There are even some rumours like they violated the financial rules while signing Messi. So, it seems like just a dream for PSG to go for more transfers.
Lol just think of the bench they would have if they bought Paul Pogba too. Their reserve team would probably finish 2nd in the French League. Their reserves are worth more than a lot of other teams combined. PSG should be banned for transfers if FPP was applied to big teams but they will not because the big teams bring in the money.

Yeah, I can imagine how good squad PSG would have with Pogba also. But they can't buy him I guess. They've already violated some financial rules after bringing Messi to the team as it seems. And they are trying to sell many players now to fix things about it. If they manage to do it as soon as possible, I think they wouldn't get any punishment. Otherwise, I don't know what will happen to them.
1999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Super Cup 2021 on: August 11, 2021, 10:17:18 PM
And we have a winner! Chelsea managed to beat Villarreal 6-5 at penalties and won the Super Cup. It was really hell of a game to be honest. Villarreal played really good against Chelsea and it wasn't so different than the Europa League final game against Manchester Utd. Villarreal stayed in the game and helped it to go to extra time after a 1-1 result in 90 minutes. There was no goal in the extra time and we were at penalties. Villarreal resisted so well there also but they lost after Albiol missed the penalty.

Congrats to Chelsea! They won it even without Lukaku in this one.

As Inter have sold Lukaku to Chelsea, they need a good striker immediately. They have Lautaro Martinez, I know that. But they need another good striker who will adapt to playing alongside Martinez and to the team as quick as possible. There has been some rumours about them that they are aiming to sign Edin Dzeko. It would be a nice transfer but I would rather a more qualified and young striker.

According to the media they have had a deal for Dzeko for 2 years  Roll Eyes.

Also, Lautario could leave too. Spurs are pressing them with an offer for 70m €, confirmed by more sources.

Yeah, I've heard about the Martinez speculations also. Tottenham are making a big effort to sign him. But I don't think that Inter will let him go. They are close to signing Dzeko but they wouldn't want to lose their another great player also. Actually, they would make their financial status much better after this transfer. But they should be already good as they have sold Lukaku for an incredible amount of money.
