Stablecoins All Want to Be $1, But They're Not Worth the Samehttps://www.coindesk.com/which-stablecoin-is-the-riskiest-the-crypto-market-is-pricing-that-in/The market is starting to differentiate between stablecoins, even though these cryptocurrencies are all designed to trade 1-to-1 with fiat. Several U.S. dollar-pegged cryptocurrencies are now trading either significantly higher or significantly lower than the greenback, reflecting investors' perceptions of their relative risk. Given that stablecoins are typically used as on-ramps for investors looking to purchase bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, these premiums and discounts mean that customers may not be paying bitcoin's "sticker price," as listed on a given exchange or data platform. The new, more discriminating valuations began Monday morning, when the best-known stablecoin, tether (USDT), broke its peg, falling to a low of roughly $0.87. And while the price stabilized closer to $1 over the next day or so, its market capitalization dropped significantly, indicating that tethers are being taken out of circulation. Seems like most traders are dumping Tether for Gemini Dollars. I think we will see a slow decline of marketcap for Tether and a slow increase of marketcap for other stablecoins over time.

$490 price difference of Bitcoin, thanks to Tether right now (going out of Tether and into Bitcoin) : Bitfinex ( Tether) : $6899 Bitstamp, Kraken, GDAX (Coinbase Pro), Gemini, CEX ( Non-Tether) : $6409 When you have this much spread and it is not diminishing, then there clearly is a problem. More exchanges are also starting to provide access to more reliable stablecoins : https://www.coindesk.com/crypto-exchange-okex-lists-4-new-stablecoins/

dash so, what will happen with DASH in your forecast? Will it move upwards or downwards? It's hard to get your ideas simply looking at the given chart, especially someone who are not technical experts. I think all these charts show the longterm support (lower line) and resistance (upper line) in which cryptocurrencies seem to move throughout their whole history. These charts also show that crypto markets are very cyclical of nature, specially if you look at it over a long time period where it clearly shows expansion and retraction movements. Dash seems to have its correction towards its longterm support processed further then other cryptocurrencies. Which could mean that Dash could start a new longterm trend sooner then other cryptocurrencies. Whether that new longterm trend will be an uptrend or downtrend from that point on remains to be seen, but i suspect it will be an uptrend as sell pressure should diminish at that point. If you want to know more about support & resistance levels in crypto or need more chart understanding, you should take a look here : https://www.tradingview.com/ideas/trendanalysis/https://www.tradingview.com/ideas/fibonacci/ Just keep in mind trend-analyses are not the answer to everything, specially not in crypto markets that are mostly driven by emotion. Trend-analyses also tend to be less accurate, when used in short term time periods.

Dash Labs Making Significant Progress on Enhancing Robustness of Dash Network A developer, DashLabsDev, from Dash Labs recently gave a brief reddit update concerning the status of Dash Labs.
He started off by saying that “development is underway on multiple projects working via the Dash blockchain”. He added that the “team has been working tirelessly to make industry progress, and they’ve managed to penetrate a few different markets and incite a high degree of interest from potential partners”.That is pretty darn cool

Since Dash Force made an important change to their budget proposal 2 months after creation and have not shared that change on this Bitcointalk Dash ANN forum (i have not found any Dash Force announcement of it in here), i advice masternode owners who are unaware of this change to re-evaluate Dash Force budget proposal to see if the change Dash Force made to their budget proposal still reflect masternode owners original support / vote. The change that Dash Force put in their budget proposal 4th of october 2018, makes their budget proposal clash heads-on with another budget proposal that is currently seeking continued funding . I also think Dash Watch should re-evaluate Dash Force revised budget proposal, as it currently does not show the change and Dash Force is lacking in communication about this change with the Dash community. Dash Central : https://www.dashcentral.org/p/DASH_FORCE_SEPTEMBERDash Watch : https://dashwatch.org/cards/491Budget proposal that Dash Force conflicts with, due to the recent change in their budget proposal : Dash Central : https://www.dashcentral.org/p/Dash-Nation-DFO-2018-2019Dash Watch : does not exist yet Thank you, @qwizzie, for bringing this to the masternodes attention, both here, and on Dash Forum. My team and I would appreciate the continuing support of the masternodes, so that we may continue to do our work for the community to the high standards of Dash Nation. You are welcome Tao. I'm half playing with the thought of putting up a polling proposal to ask masternode owners if they approve of a significant change of scope in multi-term budget proposals, that already passed the treshold a long time ago and as result of that change now directly compete with other budget proposals. There is an element of unfair competition here that needs to be discussed among masternode owners. What also needs to be discussed, is if this invalidate the vote outcome of that multi-term proposal for that specific significant change in scope (as it will be unclear if masternode owners voted for the original proposal text or for the significant change in scope). I may as well kickstart that discussion in here and on the dash.org/forum ( https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/budget-proposal-discussion-introducing-a-significant-change-of-scope.41263/), before possibly taking the next step. To all : any thoughts on this ?

A yes from me. Its a shame this proposal is struggling. Regardless if you agree or disagree to other moderation /censorship issues, Dash Nation 'is' an asset to the community. Yeah, i feel the same way.
|
|
|
I'm trying to get a handle on the 'censorship' debate. I understand that : - DashNation Discord is moderated by Tao of Satoshi's team.
- DashTalk forum is moderated by Tao of Satoshi's team.
- DashPay subreddit is moderated by Tao of Satoshi's team.
- Dash Central is moderated by ___ (who?)
- ANN DASH on btctalk (here) is unmoderated, (ignored by disinterested bitcoin moderators). This is the place for free speech!
- DashTalk on Discord (part of DashForce) is moderated by DashForce team.
Am I right with all this? Who moderates Dash Central ? Have I missed any others? So on with some random thoughts. Too many places with the same moderation team is not ideal. For examle If you as a poster are unhappy with censorship by Tao of Satoshi's team you are effectively unhappy with the 3 main places to talk Dash. In my view the rule about stating speculation as fact might have a good intent behind it but is annoying many users and most often is very subjective how to interpret. It has been a winning formula in Tao's own Dash Nation area. This doesn't mean it is also right for reddit and Dash forum. The new 'Dash Talk' on discord can be confused with 'Dash Talk' official forum. This seems underhanded doesn't it?Why are they named so similarly? Its llke Dash Force are trying to affiliate themselves with Dash Talk official forum and give extra legitimacy to their own discord channel. Also I have been lead to believe they are trying to take control of the moderation of Dash Talk forum via a silent change to an already existing proposal. Can I say underhanded again. The problems are that Tao of Satoshi has spread his reach too far which is not unexectedly drawing comparisons to a dictator and accusations of censorship (controlling all major discussion platforms). Dash Force appear to be making power grab to take away some of that power, which is fair enough I suppose but doing so in what appear to be sneaky ways via a back door. All this time when I thought user demo was just a moneron trying to spread the usual FUD. When in fact there are real issues What is the solution to this mess? For starters I would like to see Dash Force act more openly, they are not shining themselves in a good light here. Their discord channel should be called Dash Force Discord. They should not try to sneakily obtain moderation rights for other forums. If anyone is acting consistently and with dignity it is Tao. I wonder if a seperate team from both should be created to moderate the official forum? Anyone have the answers? With regards to who moderates Dash Central, that would be rango who actually owns Dash Central. He rarely moderates Dash Central, although he did make it so that only masternode owners and whitelisted persons could comment on budget proposals, after it got a bit out of hand with trolls commenting on budget proposals in Dash Central. I dont remember rango doing much personal moderation, except for the time when he banned one of iCEBREAKER's poppet accounts, together with denying Icey access to Dash Central remote monitoring and restart scripts due to Icey's consistent use of profanity (using blasphemous or obscene language). Icey was asked to remove his masternodes from Dash Central as well, if i remember correctly. With regards to Dash Nation, i find Tao and TroyDASH completely transparant and honest. Not only with the budget proposal, but also with the answers they provide in the comments. People may disagree with Dash Nation's moderation style (the 10 rules and with Tao as end-responsible for his moderation team), but it has been clear from the start what it exactly involves. The Dash Nation moderator team includes some well known and respected community members as well : TroyDash Splawik21 jeffh solarguy Arthyron MooCowMoo JGCMiner DeltaEngine krish ThisMustBeTrue With regards to Dash Force i find them lacking transparancy, lacking in communication and i lost my trust in them after they updated their own Dash Force budget proposal to suddenly include agreeing to a Dash Force moderation style change on Dash Reddit and Dash.org/forum. Mind you that their Dash Force budget proposal was running for many weeks already, garnered a lot of support (i also voted yes somewhere in august on this specific Dash Force proposal) and out of nowhere they introduced a few days ago this new moderator style that had nothing to do with their original Dash Force operation costs / activities proposal. I feel like they abused my vote this way. They should have just made a seperate polling proposal on such an important topic as a change in moderation style on Dash forums, instead they went this rather shady / sneaky way. With regards to demo : i think he gets more credit then he deserves. I have little doubt demo will manage to break even Dash Force rules, when it comes to posting and behaving on a public forum. I saw him once upload a picture from PIVX.org through his demo16 account, so i think he comes from the PIVX community. I dont really see a solution for the moderation style that Dash Force wants and the moderation style that Dash Nation currently provides. I just know that the Dash Nation moderation style worked well on their own Dash Nation Discord channel and masternodes did vote affirmative to have this moderation style & rules extended to Dash Reddit and Dash.org/forum. There was overwhelming support for.

First, I dont care what your politics are. And second, USA cannot tell people what they can or cant do anymore. Bitcoin bitch. I dismissed the Petro outright, and never gave it a second thought. Then for some reason today, I read the whitepaper. Its probably one the better whitepapers for a crypto currency that I have read in a long time. Its well written, not full of shit, is technologically sound, basically Maduro or some fanatical socialist didnt write it. Someone competent did. So go read it. Im not saying buy into the pre-sale or the ICO (which I wont personally), which you shouldn't - because fuck ICOs and pre-sales - but still. The crypto coin is instamined, and emission is 0 after. The crypto will float in value on exchanges, like any shitcoin, but the difference here is that if you need to pay the Gov of Venezuela taxes, fees, or anything gov related they will accept the crypto. And at what price ? Well at its fair value, i.e. oil price. Unfortunately, lol, they dont accept the crypto directly, its converted into shitvars (bolivars) at the moment of payment. And whooooooooo sets the exchange rate, well, the gov of course, based on gov approved exchange prices ! So they arent stupid, and any abuse on the crypto will just be brushed off with massive devaluation of that specific exchange rate. But a sovereign State has just put out a Crypto-Currency, accepted for all payments, making it *legal tender by definition* IS A BIG FUCKING DEAL. Its amazing and its progress, and you should all support it on a moral basis. The argument of the dictator and human rights is very valid, I will not brush that off. The fucking guy talks to dead people live on air. But still, in what conditions did you expect to see this evolution in crypto ? Is the question I ask. A great day for freedom, it is. I dont care how that sounds, it is true. However ironic it may be for a Venezuelan. http://elpetro.gob.ve/pdf/en/Whitepaper_Petro_en.pdfAre you aware that the whitepaper of Petro which you are referencing, is a straight copy from Dash whitepaper ? https://cointelegraph.com/news/venezuelas-petro-white-paper-blatantly-copied-dash-ethereum-developer-saysAre you also aware the masternodes that Petro has referenced are totally centralized, which makes this crypto project the most centralized project out there (maybe even more centralized then Ripple). There is also zero anonymity, as local participants (Venezuelans) are forced to register with full details if they want to use Petro.

hi, I am really glad the coin got such a great new dev!
I just saw there is a new windows miner xcoin-miner - but it has like 25/50 detection rate in virustotal - thats preety dark Wink I still have the old miner drk1.2b and it only has 7/50 so what happened? I am using the old miner for now, but should the new one be much faster? Seems to be complete different than previous. I also do not find the page where the new miner got released and discussed, so please someone tell me there is no trojan or whatever.
Maybe best to search for your answer / post your question in here : https://www.dash.org/forum/topic/mining.3/Be very carefull with downloading and using new, unverified mining software .. they often contain virusses (which you seem aware of, but i'm mentioning it anyway for other people reading this)
