My Avalon, enjoying the weather outside  Cheesy

Scary  Smiley
at -12 if i read it correctly some condense may appear when cold air hits aluminum heat sinks Huh

yes, and seems your averages are 1MH above others. I'd move it inside again..
22  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: January 06, 2014, 09:55:12 AM
I know some people have mentioned this in the past, but I can't seem to find it any more.

Is there a command or cgminer setup flag through the web UI to restart cgminer automatically after a certain interval? I find using the default router as a host I get quite a few instances (a couple times a day) where cgminer will restart but won't detect the Avalon modules, and has to restarted manually. Power cycling isn't necessary, I can just hit Save&Apply in the config tab to quickly restart cgminer again, and it picks up the controller and starts back up.

Under System|Scheduled Tasks is the Crontab. I found this doing a search... Hope it works

59 2, 15 * * * /sbin/shutdown -r +5

it should reboot at 2:59am and 3:59pm every day.

That will reboot entire unit. which i see as useless. All you need is restarting cgminer.
Mines been running for 30days+ with ok hashrates using this: (only cgminer restart every 3 hours)
*/2 *  *   *   *     /usr/bin/cgminer-monitor
0  */3 *   *   *     /etc/init.d/cgminer restart

2BTC per B2 Unit shipped courier in EU. or 3.5BTC for both (shipped in EU).
26  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Avalon asic 230 GH/S Avalon2 55 nm Miner ONLY $3.3K USD on: December 30, 2013, 03:43:36 PM
kudos for selling in USD!
However, equivalent of 4btc+ for 220GH is a bit steep in todays markets.
27  Economy / Auctions / Re: I will rent your miners for top dollar! on: December 18, 2013, 02:26:14 PM
yes, if you have btc to spend, then buy your own mining hardware and put them hosted. many services here hosts mining hardware.
It would only make sense to rent mining hardware if you only have USD to spend and would like to risk it on mining for a while..
28  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: December 17, 2013, 12:59:24 PM
Smiley So these are scams?

I'm  watching one auction (not one of the ones I linked) and it is a 3 module device. I just couldn't see how the numbers could add up so I asked a question. He claimed it was using 2nd Gen chips but how can you possibly get an even number like 200 out of three cards ?!?! Also I wasn't aware of Avalon putting 2nd Gen chips in their older devices.

scam or not, they are not worth $10k.
gen 2, they only did 2-3 units put into avalon mini's to showcase their designs working.. These were both sold into china and later put on auction, their official reseller got one and auctioned it lateR:
http://avalon.btcfans.com/ (avalon mini design with g2 hashes at 140GH, 2 boards). So theoretically, if they somehow put gen2 chips in avalon units, it would be around 200+gh..
29  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: December 17, 2013, 10:39:12 AM

yes lol. 15-20btc will buy you much better these days.. no idea what chips they are running, but if its G2, they would be around 500GH for same amount of chips.
And if its 4 G1 units it would be only 110GH.

32  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN's BM1380 chip is open for ordering. 10,000 chips for 99.9BTC, 3.6BTC/TH on: December 10, 2013, 12:42:22 PM
Bitmain, i send you a PM about the chips, can you please take 2 minute and answer?

Thanks and PM answered.

Updated with a newly added policy, Paying extra 10% can accelerate the lead time to 4 weeks.

We have already made the documents we think is completed for building a miner with our chip. We will send to some community member to review for two or three days, and we can know whether there is something that will make other EE confused or hard to understand. Then we release all the documents to the public.

make sure to send to burnin. he does good boards.
Any thoughts of making rackminers? like U3 size but 500GH++.
33  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: INTEREST CHECK BM1380 Chip Groupbuy on: December 09, 2013, 08:22:28 PM
i dont get this really.. they should sell in stock even for this.. 6 weeks lead time, 1 month production and delivery of miner. will it be profitable?
you would get a successfull groupbuy done very fast if it was done with in stock chips..
its really a bit wierd, since they started selling their miners a long time ago, one would think they have stock of 10k chips already to start selling.. i mean they didnt have a 6-7 week leadtime for their miners.

36  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: December 05, 2013, 09:50:21 PM
I placed my order (#232) for a Fusion 16 miner (aka LiquidSynergy Designs) on 10/5/13 and I'm still waiting.

I've sent multiple emails thru the website asking for status updates but have not heard anything from them.

Has anyone received their unit?

wrong thread fellow. this is burnins boards. you are looking for steamboats boards, designed by bkkcoins.
37  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] IN HAND - 650 GH/s Knc Miner - STARTING AT 0.1 BTC - NO RESERVE on: December 05, 2013, 09:46:56 PM
This is a completely useless auction if the OP didn't mistype the ending year date.  By then, the machine would barely be able to keep up with the difficulty.  It doesn't matter if someone bidded 100btc right now because this auction is already a fail.
its a funny auction..
