21  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io ION ionomy. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: February 02, 2018, 01:45:07 AM

I was never a part of PayCoin, just a troll but we tried to help and I really hope it wasn't in vein vain.

FTFY although Garza did suck a lot of blood.

Dude, you were the BEST part of Paycoin!   LOL

You made people laugh who were in despair.

I didn't know about the fundraiser for Trixster67.

WELL DONE!

lol, so I had given firerabbit some coins to make a video trolling PayCoin for the Muggle Relief Fund and gave him free rein. He made a video in like 2 days or less and dialed the intensity up to 11 and was like "hmm, maybe need to take the part about gang rape out" and just ran with it.

Blast from the past : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEcgkFOPLhI

Funny thing is that it's not even attacking any one person, just the idea of PayCoin.

Is there any point in gaining more merit if you already have more than 1000? Are there prizes?

Tbh I only like the new system because thymos gave hero members within legend range 1000 merit so they aren't suddenly blocked out.

So this merit thing doesn't even affect me and it's great because everyone else has a way harder time ranking up.

You guys are wrong if you think  you will make it big investing in this. BCCX? Investments on their website are numbers on a screen and you are only putting money into the pockets of scammers.

Find some real projects worth investing in, something that will make a real difference to real people.

Find something you can be proud of, your moment in crypto that defines you as a person and not your pocketbook.

Anyone hear from Paul Revere?
26  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io ION ionomy. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: February 01, 2018, 08:54:35 AM
Well there's good news:

DOJ agreed to fly in Allen Shinners to testify at sentence hearing --- whenever that happens, since he got tired of being yanked around by their ever-changing schedule, like the rest of us.

Allen has documentation to testify on behalf of hundreds of victims including Robert P. / @trixster67 who ALSO DIED BANKRUPT AND HOMELESS because of the Paycoin scam.

RIP Robert @Trixster67

I thought Trixster got his nest egg (or most of it) back when Candlesticks and I did the PayCon giveaway?

Was actually really fucked up, terminally ill with cancer, lost all his life savings in PayCoin he was to leave to his family.

On the last day of the giveaway, Trixster thanked us for the fun (and coins) and was heading to the hospital and would likely not make it and Allen said that with our generosity (and the generosity of others), that he was able to secure his nest egg for his family after his passing.

Is Allen able to comment on this?

Edit: I found the Muggle Relief Fund giveaway here:

https://forum.gethashing.com/t/paycon-muggle-relief-fund-giveaway-may-1st-8th-2015/3158

Should take a read through it all, those pages in itself should be enough to show just how much of an absolute piece of shit that Josh is.

I was never a part of PayCoin, just a troll but we tried to help and I really hope it wasn't in vein.

Im curious is the 36% increase in BCC price today part of the ponzi scheme? Please advise. Thanks in advance...

or maybe someone is just buying their own coins and pumping the price a bit so they can dump in your fucking faggot and gullible face.

fucking hell.

people like you should get removed from the gene pool.

you along with all the fucking stupid bitconnect shills.

go deepthroat a fucking shotgun asap.

 Roll Eyes

this might just be it. or big investor probably is trying to save his ass by pumping it up so he could at least dump his stash, he is definitely just sinking himself again. i was one of the first person who warned about this project, this was headed by a user nemgun as far as i can remember but now the OP was changed. I can't find that thread anymore. i knew  that guy was up to something from the start.

nemgun's from algeria or tunisia.

he had put up his id papers on the thread like a while back.

yeah, electronicash's one of the good lads/ladettes.

he/she calls out scams and sniffs them out.

i remember.....

It's just normal trade, basically a short squeeze.

Big drop, bounce, cascading down until it hits that support, bounce (where it is now) and slowly cascade down lower.

I'd play the bottom game if it weren't for the millions of BCC that could shut me out at any time.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crave: NextGen on: January 31, 2018, 09:34:06 AM
master node works great. The setup guide is really straight forward and easy to understand. If setting up a linux MN under Ubuntu, it may require some basic UNIX command line knowledge. Maybe include a link in the beginning of the guide to a website where the basic command line inputs are listed and explained.

Also Discord channel is strongly recommended, it's really active and there are some sub-channels where everything regarding the setup is been explained.

Also available on coin exchange now, thats great. hope we hit another exchange soon. maybe KuCoin?

Should be shooting for yobit, Cryptopia and Ccex first.

Cryptopia had old Crave but still waiting on withdrawals for the swap, not sure the status on new Crave.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2018, 05:54:44 PM
Well if you were talking about BCC, then the coin was still at $260 or so before the announcement. So what would have destroyed it other then the market crashing? Any coin can crash and the lending system wasn't at fault for the crash, rather the people complaining to authorities etc probably caused them to cancel the lending.

The lending system was the ponzi. It was unsustainable because it relied on the value of the coin going up indefinitely, which is impossible. As soon as the demand slows down the ponzi collapses. Which is exactly what happened here, regardless of people complaining or not. People complain all the time about all sorts of things but somehow you don't see e.g. Amazon stock crashing 90% if someone posts a bad review on their site - because it's not a ponzi, it's an actual business.

Fiat is obviously not a Ponzi lol as the money supply is meant to be tied to the total assets. A house is not going to zero value so will always be worth something. Nowadays due to the supply being hard to control world-wide it tends to inflate and go in boom and bust cycles so it is more similar to a Ponzi now than before. That doesn't change the fact it has always had assets backing it. Actually, it was found that having slightly more supply than assets allowed businesses to grow faster (business loans etc). The financial system may not make much sense nowadays but the only thing it is meant to do is encourage business, which is what it does. People generate wealth but creating things of value that other people buy. Bitcoin doesn't generate any wealth and is just a speculative asset and you can't deny it can easily go to almost zero value (it doesn't take more than a few percent to be sold to lose half its value either). Whales can dump it any time they like once they've decided they have profited enough. You must know by now that all the winners of bitcoin will be balanced by the losers and it is zero sum and totally Ponzi-like in that way.

Do you really think that repeating all that false equivalence bullshit will make it come true?

What is a Ponzi scheme?
A Ponzi scheme is an investment fraud that involves the payment of purported returns to existing investors from funds contributed by new investors. Ponzi scheme organizers often solicit new investors by promising to invest funds in opportunities claimed to generate high returns with little or no risk. In many Ponzi schemes, the fraudsters focus on attracting new money to make promised payments to earlier-stage investors to create the false appearance that investors are profiting from a legitimate business.

Why do Ponzi schemes collapse?
With little or no legitimate earnings, Ponzi schemes require a consistent flow of money from new investors to continue. Ponzi schemes tend to collapse when it becomes difficult to recruit new investors or when a large number of investors ask to cash out.

Perfect description of Bitconnect and your shilling.

But wait, there is more:

Quote
What are some Ponzi scheme "red flags"?
Many Ponzi schemes share common characteristics. Look for these warning signs:

High investment returns with little or no risk. Every investment carries some degree of risk, and investments yielding higher returns typically involve more risk. Be highly suspicious of any "guaranteed" investment opportunity.

Overly consistent returns. Investment values tend to go up and down over time, especially those offering potentially high returns. Be suspect of an investment that continues to generate regular, positive returns regardless of overall market conditions.

Unregistered investments. Ponzi schemes typically involve investments that have not been registered with the SEC or with state regulators. Registration is important because it provides investors with access to key information about the company's management, products, services, and finances.

Unlicensed sellers. Federal and state securities laws require investment professionals and their firms to be licensed or registered. Most Ponzi schemes involve unlicensed individuals or unregistered firms.
Secretive and/or complex strategies. Avoiding investments you do not understand, or for which you cannot get complete information, is a good rule of thumb.

Issues with paperwork. Do not accept excuses regarding why you cannot review information about an investment in writing. Also, account statement errors and inconsistencies may be signs that funds are not being invested as promised.

Difficulty receiving payments. Be suspicious if you do not receive a payment or have difficulty cashing out your investment. Keep in mind that Ponzi scheme promoters routinely encourage participants to "roll over" investments and sometimes promise returns offering even higher returns on the amount rolled over.

Bitconnect checks all boxes.
He’s hopeless! 😂

lol, he's never going to make it off my ignore list.

People still supporting this are really a special kind of stupid. Remember PayCoin? What kind of memories does it envoke? Is it worth $20 per Coin yet?

This thing is dead in the water, tainted by scam accusations and lawsuits, with no actual use for it.

The only thing keeping this alive is the trolling, and desperate people hoping for it to go up so they can break even. It's true bottom will be about 2-3 months from now at less than 1$ when everyone gets bored of it and posting stops, some special people who own a ton will try to resurrect it but you can never get rid of the taint.

Bitconnect is NOT a scam. You're oppressive U.S. Dollar is the scam coin that's sinking to the bottom no matter how hard you organize to hate on Bitcoin, etc.

Most of you organized haters are buying the lows. smh

Do you understand inflation? Could be the fact that the money supply grows 40x faster than bitcoin, or that bitconnect is holding a massive chunk of BCC and owe all the people who had money stuck in their lending platform.

Why did you even bother? the dumbass used bitconnect and bitcoin in the same sentence. Obviously, he is out of loop if he thinks both are synonymous to each other

I find this whole thing super interesting, like watching the band play while the titanic is sinking.

No, FUD killed it. People got scared and started to cash out, new investors was in fear so they didn't buy bcc.

Now these FUD people is FUD-ing in every lending platform and scare the shit out of people. Where ever you read or hear about these platforms in forums, youtube, ect... you see these FUD people everywhere like a disease. The FUD is the problem here not the people who referee people into the platform. As long there is demand for the coin there is no problem to pay the promoters with our profit we shared to the software. But when the FUD takes over - good bye.

They are fucking up everything in the crypto space. It's not the lending platforms they do this, they are spreading FUD everywhere in the crypto space.

If it wasn't for the FUD everything would work perfectly fine.

I still think it was the referral program but other contributing factors would be the volatility software they didn't have, working as an unlicensed money transmitter, securities fraud.

Maybe you shouldn't participate in ponzi schemes.

FUD killed it? Did you seriously say that? If FUD was able to kill it, then anything is able to kill it. There was no substance whatsoever. Was there FUD for Bitcoin? Did it die?

Are you stupid or what? Do you have issues with understanding?

All FUD made the platform unsustainable.

All FUD that were made about bitcoin made it crash many times. But still strong people who believed in it resurrected it everytime.

Bitconnect could let it continue to run, but the interest would be near 0% everyday due to less demand. FUD killed the demand. FUD killed many peoples trust into this system. If there is no demand, where the fuck do you think the money would come from?

People stopped investing and just pulled the money out of the system as told by the FUD people.

You must be fucking ignorant if you can't understand a shit about what I have been written.

Bitconnect is not technical dead. It is still alive and they will soon launch their new project.

What kind of stupid people are you?

If people listen more to FUD people, of course the demand will decrease. And due to the decrease the less interest will be delivered to the people who lent. And due to it people will be more unhappy and they will try to sell everything they have and move on.

If you can't see its due to the FUD you're fucking ignorant!

FUD doesn't bring more demand for the coin if you think so. FUD people has screaming out load in youtube, blogs, podcasts, formus, live chats, ect... That bitconnect is a ponzi, a scam and all people should pull out the money as fast they can. They tell all these shit without giving any fucking proof about their claims. These kind of shit killed the project. And all these FUD:s became more insane and more intensive for every each day. It was ridiculous how much fucking FUD that was going on.

And now they have infected every other lending platform, trying to convince the people that they invested in a ponzi and advice them to pull out all the money as fast they can. Get a fucking life!

Purpose of a cryptocurrency is that is cannot be taken down through government interference and everyone holds their own money, able to sell at any time they choose. It's illegal to launch a website, ask people to send you their money to hold for you in exchange for a payout of 1% compounding interest a day. The problem is that this website can arbitrarily decide to stop paying interest and keep all your capital you have invested at any point in time.

Do you happen to be on good terms with Lauda, actmyname, The Pharmacist, etc.? Kissing up to them? Then such things easily happen. And you don't even need to post quality content for it.
You sound like an idiot.

Crestington's merit is now 1,000 because theymos made a change to the system. Because Crestington's activity is within Legendary range, his merit has now been increased to 1,000 to not prevent him from achieving it.

Oh sweet, that's awesome.

I did mention about that being in range but suddenly being prevented based on merit.

Thumbs up from me.
34  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 28, 2018, 11:42:21 AM
Hey so I have a question

A couple days ago I had 500 merit, but now I have 1002 merit but in merit history I only got 2 merit from a person.

How did I gain 500 merit?

I think I'm on good terms with them, probably talked to most at some point.

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: January 28, 2018, 10:48:59 AM
There is no "real" dollars in bitconnect. The dollar sign you see represent fiat, but bitconnect never claimed it is in "real" dollars. It is just a value that we can understand. It could also be valued in ounces of gold, but it wouldn't mean they got a bunch of physical gold.

So we have not lent any bitcoin (or dollars) to bitconnect. The only bitcoins we gave to bitconnect was during the ICO phase. How many they sold? Was it 6 millions? I don't remember but that time it was valued to 6 million dollars.

After the ICO when bitconnect distributed all the coins to the users we have been trading between each others and with new users who wanted to enter the market (not with bitconnect), and it is we as users that priced bcc, not bitconnect. Bitconnect have nothing to do with the pricing. It is a demand and supply coin, nothing more than bitcoin (maybe a better version of bitcoin). So all the BTC we had we gave to another user in return of BCC. Simple math!

Anyways. BCC is like Bitcoin, its just bitconnect added an extra feature which was the lending, a software that hold our coins and distributed a profit while the market grows.

When the BCC grows we got interest in form of a dollar value (not real dollars). When we wanted to cash out we got less coins back due to the acceptens of the terms that we agreed up on, which was that we only got up to 45% (or 40%) monthly.

It doesn't matter if the market suddenly went up 500% in one month, they would only give us maximum of 45%, that was our agreement. The the rest of the coins/profit bitconnect's software keeps in a pool which they used to pay for referrals, paying the user in down-days - in BCC, because it's only BCC we lent to them and it is only BCC they can give us, which we convert to BCC (calculated on the current BCC price) and then take those and sell it on the market to a user who are willing to buy the price you're asking for.

So there is no ponzi in this! If you don't understand this, go and seek a psychologist!

You think that posting from a brand new account is going to make it less shilly?

Pretending to be happy with this scam doesn't mean it's not a ponzi, because most certainly it is. Bitconnect clearly promised revenue in USD, even your fellow shill AGM76 admits that. They seem to have taken down their lending pages but there are archives, for example:

http://archive.is/UAnMu#selection-1715.0-1715.120

Quote
BitConnect lending account balances are reflected in USD, and you will receive a US dollar in BitConnect lending wallet.

And they did exactly that while BCC was going up. But when it crashed they suddenly decided to pay back at an exchange rate that was 90% lower than the actual USD value.

And by the way - the lending "feature" was not in any way part of the coin itself. It was just a website. So why didn't Bitconnect use their magic "volatility software" to pay interest on e.g. BTC deposits? Because that would have made the ponzi nature of it so much more obvious?

Keep your fucking conspiracy to yourself. You must be fucking retarded if you can't understand this simple math. THEIR IS NO FUCKING DOLLARS? The dollars you got is just a value based on the profit you made while bitconnect's software hold your BCC for you? The dollar represent BCC's current price! I give a fuck what your friend AGM76 said to you.

Volatility software was made to stabilize the market, it had to follow bitcoin's trend to make the market more sustainable.

If you can't understand this simple fact, get the fuck out of here!

Well who cares why it failed at this point but BCC is never going to recover... It is absolutely and completely dead and I am very happy that it is. I feel for everyone that lost money but I also think it should be taken as a learning lesson not to invest in coins like this.

Bitconnect was legit. The FUD makers conspiracy bring the platform down. This happens to bitcoin too. When a lot of FUD is circulating big fucking drops/crash happens. Bitconnect is based on demand and supply, as long as there is demand there is profit, like bitcoin.

I would see more trust in these kind of platforms. This model is much better than the previous model which is based on only supply and demand. Bitconnect had many plans to increase the demand. But it isn't over. Bitconnect will continue with another project.

So all the FUD makers who crashed this platform - GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!

It was the referral program that killed it.

And Suchmoon.

I remember he made Paycoin go from $20 all the way down to 1 cent, now that's skill. He's destroyed like a lot of totally legitimate businesses like scrypt.cc, exchanges etc.

Really, if you see him talking bad about some project you're into, you should probably just get off the bus right then.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: January 27, 2018, 09:36:29 PM
Want to know something funny?

Staking yield was much better than the lending platform.

Min age is 15 day, max age is 30 days compounding at 10% a month the first 6 months and 8% the second 6 months.

That would have given you 3.4x the amount of coins in 1 year.

Let's say you bought 1000 coins at $1, staked them, and sold them at $400 (9 month period), that is about 3x the amount.

You would have made approximately $1.2 million

If you had bought $1000 worth and put it in the lending platform during the same 9 month period.

You would have approximately $14,000

Technically speaking, the lending platform was actually on par or even slightly less at times than the appreciation of just hodling BTC.

Why is withdrawal disabled for the old Crave on Cryptopia. I don't understand.
Standard Cryptopia procedure to prepare for a delisting.

They will open withdrawals up sometime, and then those holding coins on Cryptopia can proceed with the coin swap.

Word is cryptopia still not allowing withdrawals.

Should get a bunch of people asking Cryptopia super nicely, when they will be allowing withdrawals, I think they are under heavy load right now.

What ideas do you have to get this moving?

So far the only ICO I've liked is Scorum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2353775.0 (currently ongoing)

Scorum is a sports media platform, built using the bitshares graphene blockchain. I even talked to Ronny Boesling on a number of occasions years ago before he started his partnership with the bitshares asset exchange.

Real platform, real use, with solid backers and developers behind it.
