I added a new feature to the presstab.pw block explorer. Address charts now show a bitcoin value. I had to manually grab pricing data for CON because as far as I can tell Poloniex is the only exchange you can grab complete price history via api. That being said, if anyone wants a more complete price history added they can send me a .csv with the date in one column and the price in another column. I can then throw it into my mysql db. I think right now CON prices are using 1/2 month intervals. If you want to see what I am talking about, you can see the top CON address chart here.  Hope you guys are enjoying the explorer, CON is one of the few special coins I gave a free ride!! Keep conning my friends!

It's the only explorer I ever use and I truly appreciate all the work you have done for so many Coins. Maybe will have to ask Polo if they will add CON so we can get better pricing data Wink How many Coins have Android wallets? Is that noticable enough to be added to Poloniex?

Testing will be in the next day or so then published on google Play  Cool

*snip*

Good, i thought android wallet was just an idea and you've already set it up Wink
If i knew PayCon™ would've had an android wallet i wouldn't have bought an iPhone lol.

Guess we talked about it too much and it happened, IOS would be great for all the apple lovers  Cry
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POS - 'Long Range Attack' fix .. on: September 05, 2015, 01:32:23 AM
So if we need ONE POW chain, a simple decentralised timestamp server really, to fix a little thing like long range attacks, but then get all the benefits of POS, for thousands of separate chains, that sounds acceptable to me.

Now.. Just need to fix those pesky short range missiles..

At the risk of invoking all the POS vs POW demons, even if you had POS sidechains with POW checkpointing, you only prevent reorgs greater in length than the checkpoint interval. Rather than a series of bandaids on a broken system, you need a new system IMO.

Yes, then it really is no different than if you were to have something like POW/POS and having it merge mined with a larger POW chain like Bitcoin/Litecoin but the problem is to store the POW chain you are mining on to use as central checkpointing.

What about checkpointing on another POS chain?

469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest on your own risk on coins with a self-moderated topic. on: September 05, 2015, 12:45:45 AM
nah. I think most topics need to self moderated or if it's doing well it gets flooded with fuds and competitors.

stay away from new coins and you will never have to face any problem...stick with coins that are old

Complete bullshit, you can't entirely rate a crypto of how long it has been around, best innovations happening are the newer coins, old coins were just a bitcoin/litecoin copy past crap.

innovation to sell snake oil bout the only innovative in coins the last 2 years.

Biggest snake oil is the shitty bitcoin copy past litecoins your are bagholding. this newer coin/older coin is the most retarded indicator i have seen and gets posted by those who cant invest in newer promising start ups.

can't say any coin i've got i'm a bagholder with.

liquidity is king, adoption is king, usability and with this litecoin is doing better then all other alts combined and then some  Tongue

show me a promising new alt coin and i'd gladly invest.

You should check out RateCoin, that is a promising new alt coin.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POS - 'Long Range Attack' fix .. on: September 04, 2015, 11:26:18 AM
MONSTERERERERR..! Thanks for chipping in..

As far as my understanding goes, SideChains and Coloured coins are different animals. Although maybe of the same genus..  Tongue

Sidechains allow you to interact with the main chain, on a side chain, without having 'trust'. You can jump to a sidechain, dance a jig / interact / etc , and then return to the main chain. In a Semi-Atomic-Trustless fashion. ( Depends on how the sidechain is secured. Currently the 'Elements' Sidechain is federated, so you do have to trust the 'federators', although they can't 'screw' you in a hidden fashion. Their treachery would be public! )

In this system, you are only delegating the 'POS Decentralised Checkpointing' to the main POW chain.

This means that the POW chain is not used to determine the outcome on each individual POS chain. Just to store each POS chains latest checkpoint.

Then each POS chain can perform it's task, ( an exchange, company governance system, super fast confirmation time chain, torrent file link host, etc etc),  in the knowledge that it is not susceptible to a long range attack.

Once your POS chain is compatible with the POW main chain checkpoint mechanism, you can do ANYTHING you like on a POS sidechain. Without ever needing to change the main POW chain. No Main-Chain Hard Forks..  everererer ..Smiley

Than that means that the cost of the Checkpoints would be the minimum fee of the POW chain to sign the transaction of the latest checkpoint. What about size of the POW chain and connecting to it without storing the full chain? SPV node system? How would that effect memory usage?
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XRA] RateCoin | PoS | Unique Generous Rewards | Low Supply Inflation on: September 04, 2015, 11:19:05 AM
I added a daily price history to the block explorer, so now the address charts also have a bitcoin equivalent value charted as well.

Here is a chart of XRA's top address Smiley

That's a really cool feature, such informative charts.

Presstab has the best Block Explorer in the world hands down.

Today is the day..... who's up for protest signs in front of the SEC building in Boston?  Let's pool some money together for anyone who can prove they did it with a selfie of Carlos entering the SEC building on Arch street in Boston.

The protest signs could be Paul Revere smiley's and you could ask Carlos if he could sign your hashlet tattoo.

I'll throw down $10 for that.

Yeah this is official: paycon is the new bitcoin.
Settled.

You know what? I'm going to have to agree with you. Imagine it being functional dark cash like bitcoin, but working a million times better and faster?!

A Blockchain is really just an ongoing ledger of accounts and balances, the possibilities are really endless. For example, there is a method at which you can take a snapshot of the chain and then feed those inputs into a new chain such as when people begin to clone ethereum as it is open source, you could then use that code to move onto a new Blockchain with all Coins redeemed with their private keys. There is also dark cash currently developing in POS with masternodes along with mixing and stealth transactions and that could be integrated, or even Blockchain pruning where you keep the same balances but remove old data.

When I first started looking into Bitcointalk I was quite surprised how empty it was and how few people knew anything about Crpyto. I tried to get help from people with learning and doing things but best case was some poorly made clone, there were few people that could even clone them let alone make wallets and create things around it but it keeps growing now and more developers become a part of Crypto every day. All you really need is a lot of creative people working together and trying new things, even outsourcing work is beneficial because it pays developers working in crypto and they end up creating more things for different Coins because once you know something it becomes easy to do so many people becomes specialists in their niche area.

It's funny how much it is progressing, I wonder what it will be like in another year?

I disagree.

PayCon has had an unmoderated thread when it was made https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=912034.0

and I opened up a new unmoderated thread to keep it going https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=937480.0

Contrary to what may or may not be believed, people don't spend their time bashing things for no reason. Do I care if someone is posting negative stuff? not one bit since it also keeps the thread active.

What do you consider as FUD? Forums mods are going to delete off-topic stuff regardless of whether or not a thread is moderated.

Gawd I hope so, the whole law community is now eagerly awaiting a coining as well. I have heard that during law school that they are going to spend an entire semester just on Paycoin and internet law.

Android wallet and Canada legistation very good for merchants adoption
lets make

PayCon Bar,PayCon Happy Hour 20%off

Tourist

Discover Canada with PayCon

Travel
Fly with PayCon

Money Transfer

Dear Imigrants send money to your families in min with almost 0 fee

I'm quite sure it would be pretty much 0 Fees because all Coins spent as Fees goes back into Staking so you make a piece of that as well. As Crypto grows, there becomes more developers that do work around all different types of Coins so there will be more altcoin light client integration, IOS wallets, pruning, stealth etc.

What will be important will be use cases, to actually do these things in order to find out where improvements can be made and taking that step to go from the internet into the real world because that will help drive further adoption. Smiley

478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: September 03, 2015, 01:23:47 PM

But i'ma troll your sorry thread, while i look at these complaints and see if i can find a counter suit for him.

Just saying, i tried to warn you.

Actually you are trolling the Scrypt.cc thread, supposedly made by Mr. Santos in which no one has come forward as owners of Scrypt.cc in order to prove any of the claims being made which could be done but hasn't.

Quote
He was seeking damages, btw he has 1000 s5+ units and that not so magic 600 A2's i mentioned.

We just don't care anymore, and i told you.

What 600 A2's? I'm pretty sure people have been asking for proof for like a year with 0 proof so if you have some actual proof of mining then please enlighten everyone as to this insider information you are withholding.

Want proof file with us at the FBI, you can do so here:https://www.fbi.gov/report-threats-and-crime

id just love to see what kind of stuff you have against this man, though it takes a few minutes online...
I'll look at your case and prolly laugh like i am at you right now. You all wanted someone to visit him, and when he shows his face you call bullshit? Try harder next time. It took an investigation. Your spam of the sec claims form was tipped to me shithead.

If you don't want an investigation i can simply close my mailbox and laugh at you here instead.

Still don't believe then don't i won't bother reading you claims they're giving me a migraine anyway...

So you are saying you are part of the FBI or part of Scrypt.cc?

Do you know Mr. Santos personally? or are you him? In which way are you saying that he's showing his face?

Why do you care? Because I have 0 financial interest in Scrypt.cc because I looked at it, assessed all the information I have seen over the course and have determined through what I have seen that it is a major SCAM so until the point that someone comes forward with undeniable proof of mining, which I have not seen then I will continue to label it as such. Scypt.cc has never held any of my money because I would not be so gullible to send my hard earned money to some random stranger in which I cannot have access to unless they decide to release it back to me.
