I want to feel sympathy for the people who claim to lose family, houses.... But are you fucking kidding me.  Sympathy for Gox, Moolah, this is too much!  There was warning signals from day 1! Not 1 warning signal, not FUD. Logical clear signs and complaints that went un-answered. Not weekly, not monthly, DAILY. Every single day, the people in that community made the conscious decision to discount the valid questions that were asked.  To not ask questions when landmarks were not met.  They chose to ride a situation that looked like a cash grab, and was a KNOWN scam.  A 10 year old could feasibly understand the situation if they were following as much as the people here.  It was a scam from day 1.  It remained a scam the WHOLE time.  People decided to make a personal decision to risk everything in what they were 100% sure was a complete gamble.  At some point the bitching and moaning has got to get traded in for some god damn common sense.  Sorry guy up there, you didn't lose you house and family to a scam, you lost it because you made the decision to gamble with what was a MASSIVE risk that you were aware of. You did not lose your life to a scam, you lost it to being a DUMBASS.

I don't like the fileshare idea but I am bored so why not.

I caution other members to proceed with caution when visiting a website that has file sharing features.

Just to clarify, no file sharing on our site just through the Slack software!  Come on in! And absolutely, don't ever share files unless you know and trust the sender.

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: March 17, 2015, 05:42:30 PM
this is taking place in the UK not the US, laws are waaaaaaay different in the UK, as are the legal proceedings

Why does everyone insist that this didn't happen in the USA?  BOFFIN HAD MOOLAH AMERICAN ACCOUNTS AND REGISTRATION, IN HIS NAME.  Why do people keep saying this is a UK deal? USA wasn't involved? Nobody from the US has claims? Their business wsn't operating in the States?  They WERE operating/conducting financial transactions in the USA, they DID have businesses registered in the states, they DID sell "investments" to Americans, they did steal USA currency, they did defraud USA investors into a.. fake investment and they did steal americians money when they bounced with everything... So....

Now, what was that about his whole deal being in the UK?

The court case is in the UK, the US authorities are not involved and will not be. The UK forces are interested in Ryan Kennedy and Ryan Kennedy alone. Landon Merrill will not be called as there is no evidence of him ever gaining (other than a wage - the same as all other employees) from it. He handled very minimal funds belonging to the company and anything he did do was at Ryan's request. Hence the investigators aren't all that interested. Ryan was the one who took all of the BTC, not Landon. Of course, if someone were to open a case inside the USA, that would be different. However as Kennedy had the BTC and he is a UK resident, the UK forces are dealing with the fraud reports etc.

The only instance someone would need to open a case in the USA is to do as you suggested, to go after Landon and the US employees.
___________________________________________________________

Anyway, I have received an email from the police investigator with regards to this. He says the below:

Quote
Seb

Apologies for the late reply.  There is no public record but and if anyone phones up A&S all they will be told is that we are investigating  a criminal complaint etc. and that a male and female have been arrested.  In criminal matters it does not become public domain until after their first appearance in court.  But that does not always stop the press from releasing details. If you know of anyone who has lost money they can contact me via this e-mail or on 01275 816580 and I will be quite happy to talk to them,

Peter

A&S refers to Avon and Somerset police here.

Now, I have included his phone number here, his email is Pete.Wood@avonandsomerset.police.uk.

I must stress though that this is not an 'AND' situation. You should not contact both him AND the action fraud. If you have already submitted a claim via action fraud, that is good enough. Even if you have not and just wish to report a simple loss of funds, action fraud is still the best place to go. It will be properly recorded in the police database and have the correct information.

The only time I would suggest getting in touch with this investigator is if you lost a significant amount of money and also had a lot of contact with Ryan Kennedy with chat logs to back that up.

I have been putting together bits of evidence for him in the past so if you want to be 100% it is included in any reports I also make, feel free to pm it to me as well.

Again, please do not spam this guy's inbox it will only slow the investigation down, but I felt I should include it at his request.

The exact word I have from him is this:

Quote
If the case goes to court and Ryan Kennedy loses, those that filled in action fraud reports could be in with a chance at getting some recompense.

Bear in mind all of this will be traced on the blockchain so I wouldn't suggest lying about what you gave him.

It will be on a percentage basis I can imagine. If they manage to seize $1m of assets and there are $5m worth of claims, each of those claims would most likely get ~20% back of what they lost.

Pretty much sums up assumptions and reinforces the losses of lots.  I might have lost a few pennies.  You put together all the people who lost a little bit of pennies around the world, it adds up.  It's kind of unfortunate there is nobody to represent the little people.

This case is so fragmented... and targeted at one occurrence that there is mountains of unlawful acts getting overlooked.  Just steal a little bit here and there, and make sure you do it across ultiple boarders, it will complicate the information gather process.  Any other tips and tricks we can learn from Ryan here, because it seems as he rather has managed to get away with minor infractions, but will avoid any liabilities on a significant level.

I seem to be the only one bitching about Landon, yet following moolah since day one, there seems to be plenty of evidence suggesting he knew the instability of what he was involved with, and negligently took investments, managinging financial services under a boss with NO name, no identity. You're telling me that there is 0 liability for someone who registers a completely random guys financial service under his name, processes transactions (doesn't matter how big or small, breaking the law right) and investments.. gets called out that the situation is less than ideal, and continues to operate knowing his boss has 0 face, and could definately be a complete fraud.. Makes the personal decision to connect the USA with the U company Moolah....... And even better, everyone lost such incremental amounts that there isn't once body to centralize the efforts against him.

Just thinking back to all these donation based initiatives that people sent money thinking they were going to a mental health charity.. and they wen't into some UK peice of shit's pocket, put food on his table, and there is nothing that can be done about it.... Kind of funny.  If you want to do something about it, you probably shouldn't because it's going to cost you a fuck load in lawyer fees.  And if you are americian, report to this place, but not this place, but perhaps this place.

Face it. Nobody knows what is happening.  Thousands who lost little amounts will not come forward and charity money was stolen.  Tis gone, and this is just getting to be a waste of time.

It's just a shame that people who watched this unfold from day 1, knew what was happening, and tried to put info together.. really get to sit back and watch as mr Green gets away with a slap on the wrist and a fast one.

Enter scams and fraud!  You're good to operate in the Bitcoin space.

Hey guys,

I am on the hunt to find a person with a little more back end webdesign knowledge then myself.  PHP and mysql and such is slowing me down to much and it would be great to find someone with a little bit of wisdom to help move projects along a little faster and join the team.

Working with a limited budget and more in search of someone who is building a resume and would like to get some work under their belt.  That being said, I can compensate a bit and would like to hear what your time is worth.

The majority of the work will be assisting with integrating databases, global functions and working with beaming in api data for exchange tables based on the Wordpress platform.

If this is something that floats your boat, grinds your sausage, or makes you all warm and fuzzy inside, let me know and we can discuss further opportunities.

Thanks everyone have a great afternoon/evening/morning!

Exactly which is why I'm asking ferdous to give proof he's been arrested...

If he can not give proof he's arrested I won't believe he's been arrested nor should anyone else...

Yeah, because all police forces will give that kind of thing out publicly.

We're not in America here dude. And besides, Ferdous isn't the only one saying that. I am too.

At least everyone in this thread is brushing up on their international law.  Consider the education paid in full

As well, our exchange charts will have a great new addition this week but it's a secret. Thanks again, if there is anything else tat can be changed feel free to let me know!
32  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT]: MICHAEL MORIARTY/moriartybitcoin/BitLaunder.com Stole $80K From Me on: March 09, 2015, 05:34:59 PM
Months have gone by and still no refund? Yet he has all these crappy small income sites. Wonder if he actually makes a living off those small sites (besides the scams he has pulled).

I thought Mike Moriarty had at least tried to clean-up... Figured he'd eventually pay Ricky back as the scams slowly went away. However, there have been some recent occurrences that tell us that we may need to join together and end this.

When Ricky lost his funds, his account was closed a few days after the deposit. Then he spent a few days sending emails to the support team at Bitlaunder (Mike and Rosy Palm) and for 4-5 days, received no response. That is when he contacted me and I eventually got a hold of Mike and that's when we got our admission but never the repayment. In my attempts to replicate some the scenarios at BitLaunder, I recently deposited a small btc amount in the site and a week or so later, tried to withdraw and got a message claiming that 2FA was turned on for my account (which I never turned on) and it said I must confirm the email. Well, no email came.

Much the same, the message I got from eNumbered customer "Eric:  erider.sup.81@gmail.com" last week claimed, "

Its actually Enumbered!!! I recently deposited .45 worth of bitcoin, ( $157. ## and some change) with tracking numbers to prove to where i sold to enumbered and then enumbered sent them to wherever and I'm left with a status of "pending admin approval," NO replies to 5+ emails, when the transaction says 24 hrs or less and this was posted 12/16/2014... I know its not too long yet but I guess looking on the history on Google I'm leading more towards me getting burned in the end so I guess I'm getting a jump start."

So, he is still out there being a thief. Sickening really.  And to the comment below, please get in touch, there is a payment for you in the recovery of Ricky's coins.

You know if these scammers knew how easy it was to get their physical address and anonymously just show up at their house and beat the shit of them I think they might slow down in their scams. If I tell people how easily (not cheap but easy) it is to get a physical address to some of these people they will begin to try and hide it. But gaining a physical address for anyone is a lot more simple than you may think, It could be a little costly, but all legal and easy. It would only take a few people to beat the living hell out of a thief scammer, take his scandaled wallet.dat and torture the private keys out of them and they and others wont be so fast to scam. I mean would you take the chance of scamming people if you knew there may eb a chance one day you come home to be greeted with a person you do not know, that you have never seen who proceeds to beat your ass so badly and torture your wallet.dat and private keys out of you because you scammed them, as a scammer how would you know exactly who to prosecute for assault with all the mixing services how would you find the coins? You then would be screwed and others who know the story would be hesitant to scam.

I agree. PM me or email below in Sig.

What is happening with these sites and Moriarty? Found a Mailchip debitcard for bitcoin that resembles his bitplastic and other endeavors, yet has not been mentioned https://coinchimp.com

Hey there,

I'v had a little experience with both, right now running enjoybitcoins.com WooCommerce with our points system.  Was running Woocommerce with Bitpay for a bit on www.bitcoinshopping.center.

What plugin are you using to work with Bitcoin on Woocommerce? Sounds like a plugin issue that isn't connecting with the backend.... Also, are you working from a theme that might be prohibiting this, or this is a recent issue... (Woocommerce updated recently, I am thinking your plugin or theme is not friendly with the new version).  Here's a list of alternatives for Woocommerce - http://enjoybitcoins.com/tag/woocommerce/

As for the Paypal question... Do you need to accept paypal or could replace it with another FIAT option that facilitates credit and fiat such as stripe?

Let me know the update and we can go from there!
As much as I hate PayPal I HAVE to accept PayPal. I'm not sure what I'm running honestly - I know nothing about it all, just had someone develop the site for me. Where can I find the answers to what you are asking?

What's your URL? Or do you know what theme it's on? Do you have access to the backend where you can see the left hand wordpress sidebar or are you using FTP?

If you are using the wordpress dashboard, goto the Woocommerce tab > Settings > Checkout tab
There will be your payment options, the Bitcoin you have working should be in there. Let me know and we will make it happen.

And just who decided that it was 'everyone's' responsibility and when was it decided and who voted for that?

The people who created bitcoin, litecoin and every other decent crypto out there.  It is called decentralization.  Something paycoin bagholders know nothing about.

Another clueless newbie.

Did you get to vote for Gavin's lead dev job?  Did anyone?  No, the new guy was appointed by one guy, Gavin.

Did you the people vote for the 2 empty Bitcoin foundation seats?  No, only the rich paying members did.

Do you have access to the Bitcoin foundation meetings?  No, they're closed to everyone but insiders.

Even the fed at least publishes minutes.

And finally, Bitcoin was 51'd last year.  It was and is now totally owned and controlled by one anonymous Chinese pool.

Tell me again about how decentralized Bitcoin is.

You can 51 Bitcoin right now way easier than a coin like XPY.  That's a hard fact and it has already been done.

Miners vote for Gavin as the lead dev.  If someone else comes along and convinces a majority of miners that Gavin sucks and they should mine on his fork instead, Gavin has been fired.

Your claim that BTC is owned and controlled by one anonymous Chinese pool is incorrect, look here.  https://blockchain.info/pools

Actually it would be easy for GAW to 51% XPY with the amount of coins they control.  Why would that want to slit their own throats though?  Same with BTC.  Even if your claims of one anonymous pool controlling BTC were true, why would a miner who controlled that much hash power want to slit their own throat?
