21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $OCN is the next x20 Easily. on: March 11, 2018, 07:54:16 PM
Tron is a shitcoin so you're saying this is also a shitcoin? Time for another pump and dump based off of fake promises, and underdelivering vaporware. This post shows that I called it. You're welcome to anyone who didn't buy and lose everything on yet another pump and dump worthless shitcoin. I sure hope this solves a huge world problem like how I don't want to add up all of the pennies in my ashtray so... blockchain... yeah idk. Your post makes it sounds like a steaming pile of shit. Maybe if you want people to invest you should invest two minutes to write up a post on what your shitty shitcoin is supposed to (but won't) do.

Oh and thanks for all the info on the coin OP. Real valuable information there.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the 2018 crypto crash is now like the 1990s dot com crash on: March 11, 2018, 07:47:04 PM
Lol this wasn't the same kind of crash, but okay. You could also compare it to tulips like that fat oldan, but there wouldn't be a point. This is technology that is already changing the world far more than the internet even will. The dot com bubble was because of idiots hyping about something you could do with any domain haha. You can't print more bitcoins though.

23  Economy / Economics / Re: FINANCIAL TIPS on: March 11, 2018, 02:15:26 AM
I don't save $5 a week. There is no point at all in saving fiat. Now saving 0.001 a week? That's going to work out very well for your future.

I do agree though, don't spend more than you make (no debt) and always have savings before you start to spend your money.

Luckily a new generation will have such a better financial understanding than they did in previous generations and the legacy financial world.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tips for Choosing a Good ICO on: March 11, 2018, 02:11:23 AM
If they use a picture of Ryan Gosling with a different name and they say he's working on the project, it's a scam.  Grin flawless advice.

Due diligence isn't always that easy though. Find out who is running the ICO, get to know everything you can about them and ask as many questions as possible. Usually you'll find that answers will be answered quickly during an ICO then afterwards there's radio silence. They alw
Ready have your irreversible money, so no rush in getting you your answers.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining with 30 1080Ti Cards (Need some advice) on: March 10, 2018, 04:02:53 AM
1080tis got very popular so I'd have to agree that you should sell them at a premium. Mining will hopefully pick up again, or if you're able to mine coins with great potential and hang o to them long term, even better, but if you're looking to make profit now just flip those GPUs for a quick profit. It's not what you intended to do I'm sure, but at least you won't lose.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "The shape of bitcoin", by Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 10, 2018, 03:59:20 AM
Satoshi is writing a book, named 'The shape of bitcoin' explaining his motivations and disclosing many secrets we didn't know.

since there is no information on this anywhere and YOU, a random dude, is the only person saying this, i am going to call it just another abuse of Satoshi Nakamoto name. something similar to what Craig Scammer Wright did last year.

Haha maybe I would give it the benefit of the doubt, but then this random nobody saying that it'll only happen if the genesis block get $21million (dollar figure wtf???) Of bitcoins? So basically this is a joke to have people burn their funds, but hope it's not burning them, but it really is just burning them. What's the point?

Oh and this guy claims to be in contact with Satoshi? I call bullshit on that one. Prove it.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another way to earn money in bitcoin on: March 10, 2018, 03:55:55 AM
The most obvious choice would be do exactly what you do now but accept bitcoins as payment. You could also just do a hobby on the side and get paid in bitcoins. Personally I just earn a little bit on the side and hang onto them for a long time so in the end it feels like I got paid a lot more.
28  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Warning] Never buy using auto-buy links posted by newbies, especially if locked on: March 09, 2018, 04:47:06 AM
Did someone declare MARCH as "SCAM MONTH"?    They are just crawling out of the woodwork like termites ... or cockroaches.

Oh they're always around but sometimes it seems like they comes in waves. These sketchy autobuy link and lock the thread newbies have been around for years and it's so obvious that they're going to scam you. The problem with scams coming in waves is that newbie's also come in waves and are very naive.

You aren't shopping for a new pair of shoes with a credit card on bitcointalk. They fail to see the difference in these types of transactions, which is unfortunate.
29  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Could you guys teach me some method of candle chart analysis ? on: March 09, 2018, 04:40:20 AM
I've got this great method where you buy at the massive red candles and sell at the massive green candles. Works every time.

Oh and also if you're looking at technical analysis I would suggest rolling dice or consulting a ouija board. They're usually right about half the time. Great odds.

In case it wasn't clear, I'm saying that TA is complete bullshit for stocks and it's just plain wrong for cryptocurrency.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price decreases 1000$ within a hour on: March 09, 2018, 04:36:33 AM
Bitcoin price decreases 1000$ within a hour. And now, its price is only about $8800
Some my friends said that it could be dump to around 6k$, even 4k$
What do you think?

It sounds like your friends like to make up shit. What are they basing that off of? They think that 1/2 of the market is going to sell their bitcoins because they're dropping? I really highly doubt that people will fall for this FUD over and over and over. Markets just get smarter as time goes on, not stupider. The SEC can say whatever they want, but it doesnt change the true value of bitcoin. People selling where into bitcoins for the wrong reasons (to earn more fiat) and they'll be left behind shortly. That's not really a concern in the big picture. 10% is a small smaller move when you look at what we've accomplished so far. I feel sorry for anyone that sells themselves so short on what could have been an amazing future.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want ask about price bitcoin on: March 09, 2018, 04:10:48 AM
Now is a great time to buy. The more FUD you see the better it is to buy. This crap will all blow over with Binance API key hacks and the SEC / Korea. I wouldn't try to call the bottom, but it won't be as low as the last dip IMO.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto ICO's are killing Bitcoin. on: March 04, 2018, 04:33:47 AM
Erm, not all ICOs take Bitcoins, it's usually ETH actually, which is a giant polished turd that's going to fail unless some major changes are made anyway so who cares? I'd like to see some Bitcoin tokens but sadly we don't see any decent new tech very quickly in the wonderful world of Bitcoin. Maybe this decade we'll see mimblewimble, a working LN etc, but I'm assuming these will be 2020 or later before we see these major improvements to Bitcoin.
33  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Known BCT accounts of serial scammer/account farmer on: March 04, 2018, 04:31:40 AM
the scum bag also owns an account here at BCT under the name "$@to$h!"

selling stolen accounts:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3015226.msg31521682#msg31521682

He goes by the name @TraderLTD/Thomas Stange on Telegram too

He's up to his usual trick of leaving positive trust for his other accounts:

djeezer12   Perfectly exchanged my Skrill for bch & very sweet Rates ...
JmScripting   Recommended ! Great communication & fast transactions will definitely trade more in the future.
acaua        finaly not scam! after loosing over 2btc in 1month! thanks buddy
acaua   finaly not scam! after loosing over 2btc in 1month! thanks buddy

Hmm if it's stolen accounts then it's probably old accounts that never changed their passwords from the leak back in 2015. I guess he's just going through them and anything that's worth anything he's offloading ASAP. I don't know if there is a way to avoid this at all, since blocking their IP would be pretty useless. I'm assuming they would just use TOR or a VPN.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: Bill Gates says crypto-currencies cause deaths on: March 04, 2018, 04:29:06 AM
Bill Gates is a wishy washy moron who can't figure out with his old feable mind if he likes cryptocurrency or not. It's fascinating to him, but at the same time he doesn't want to get involved because then he would in his mind be dealing with money that's connected to these sketchy businesses. It's not true at all, and if anything 90% of his cash has been in the hands of drug dealers, but anyway whatever. This didn't have any effect on the market so moving on.
35  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YOBIT scam!!! BTC wallet empty on: March 04, 2018, 04:26:59 AM
Yeeeeah, um Yobit has always been sketchy. That really isn't news to anyone around here. Look at this signature campaign that was running forever and how sketchy that was (is? idk).

The leader also got arrested in moscow so I mean, it's a dead exchange. If you have anything on Yobit I hope you can get it off, but it sounds unlikely at this point.
36  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Best Time To Exit Trading on: March 04, 2018, 04:22:12 AM
Haha I think everyone is under the impression that they need the news before everyone else in order to make the best decision. You don't really, but I mean it could help, possibly. The issue is, it's a worldwide currency so what you think will make a major impact on Bitcoin could end up being a normal daily 5% dip. There would be lots of speculators stating that it's because of XYZ, but you would never actually know why it dropped 5%.

If there's lots of FUD, buy buy buy. Don't be afraid to sell off some Bitcoins when you reach new all time highs.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help to understand bitcoin halving calculation. on: March 04, 2018, 04:19:12 AM
If you start at 500 coins, then the halving schedule goes 500, 250, 125, 62.5, ... So, you need three cycles more just to get down to close to 50.

If you really want to ten times more coins, with the same emission schedule, then set artofwarsatoshi to 0.0000001, i.e. ten times bigger. Your starting reward is 5,000,000,000 artofwarsatoshis.

Bingo. The rewards would need to be different than just 10x and hope that everything works out the same. That would be fine if the distribution was linear, which of course it's not because it's halved every four years.

I'd suggest you make a specific calculator that can do the calculations for you, to see how much you should have the first four years of block rewards at.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Skype Security Question Copy and Paste on: March 04, 2018, 04:15:24 AM
Just stay away from Skype for crypto deals. It's not secure and it's not worth risking that they know how to exploit the security weaknesses. Just do it over email with PGP or over Bitcointalk posts, again encrypted with PGP. Anything over Skype won't be encrypted and is just a bad idea over all. I've seen people not open links and still get screwed. I'm not an expert by any means but I've always followed the advice of others to not use Skype for these types of trades online with a stranger.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, is it really just a bubble? on: March 04, 2018, 04:08:53 AM
A peer to peer digital cash can't be in a bubble, unless it's just a small temporary hype and correction. That's not even what a bubble is. This isn't some bs stock of some bs over hyped company, this is a way to change the way wealth is distributed and a way to change the way we think about money in general. This just isn't something that can be compared with the 2000's .com bubble or a freaking tulip bubble. All of those had businesses and infinite supplies. This is majorly different in every aspect.
40  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: March 04, 2018, 04:06:24 AM
You can't really have a blanket statement that the top 20% of people out there with more money than the other 80% are lucky or not as talented. It could just be that they work a hell of a lot harder too. Of course some people have bad luck or come down on hard times, but we all have before in some capacity. It's when you give up and stay in your little bubble that you can never move forward.

Being rich also isn't everyone's goal! Money drives the world, but some people just literally don't care and would rather live their life to the fullest the way it is right now and not worry about how much money they're making.
