221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed Transaction - 3 Weeks Still Pending on: December 31, 2017, 04:00:30 AM
Try an accelerator such as https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/. You sent a really small tx fee of 11 satoshis per byte so it could take a loooong time. I'd send at least 20x that fee next time.
222  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOINCORRECTION on: December 31, 2017, 03:48:07 AM
For all the newbies and existing noobs, from the little knowledge I have,i have seen three different corrections vth d BTC prices this year, may be around may be vn it touched 3k it dipped nd bounced bk ,same observation vn it hit 5k,10k and 18k,its all aboutthe patience and the trust you have on the blockchain technology nd decentralized platform!

For me, I also see that this present correction has been completed at $11,000 mark. The coin is getting set for another break at $15,000. Meaning, this is a time to buy and follow the upward ride to profit taking.

Newbies that aren't used to the volatility kind of freak out when things drop 30%. It's always been the way. If they stay around, they'll do well. If they decide to sell back to fiat they're just screwing up their future. No big deal. I'll still be heavily invested in Bitcoin.

I do not think that selling off what one has is screwing one's future rather one is using what they have to solve their problems. Therefore, selling off fractions of bitcoin when you don't have any other financial help is helping your situation by yourself. I do that too when I don't have what else to help myself. Bitcoin has been helpful.

Any time I sell any bitcoin I've screwed up my present because it could have been so much more. It's lost potential when I shouldn't have ever spent it at all. You're absolutely screwing yourself if you get rid of a good portion of your stack. You may never be able to buy it back.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Guys to Watch in 2018: on: December 31, 2017, 03:45:17 AM
1 person, or in this case 3, will make very little difference in price in the short term. Why would we 'watch' them? What's the point? They aren't doing anything innovative they're just being permabulls. I'm all for it as I'm the same but it's not exactly mind bending.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dominance 38% - Whats up on: December 30, 2017, 07:23:38 PM
It's inevitable that these things happen.

I'm trading a lot of my BTC for tether usd, or alts.

Good luck with tether. It's way riskier than Bitcoin but has the illusion of being stable. How fun. Did you see how many millions they recently generated out of thin air? They're the new central bank rofl.

The price USD terms of bitcoin is irrelevant, the dominance % is most important.

Today the dominance is below 38%. I have never seen it this low, it shows that other cryptos are taking over and moving their money elsewhere from bitcoin

Whats happening ?

Old Bitcoin is dying due to it being useless because of unconfirmed transactions and ridiculous transaction fees , pick other coins and move to them before btc drops to zero.
Time is running out.

╥Aztek

Oh you're sho shilly. What alts should be buy oh wise one? Shitcoin cash? Maybe Litecoin? Maybe something infinite supply like eth or doge? Lots of great choices.
225  Economy / Speculation / Re: 45% drop - this is new territory, never seen before on: December 30, 2017, 07:20:32 PM
Hahahahahaha what the fuck? Zoom out that chart champ. Take a look from 2013-2014. Do you see that? That's a 90% dip. Now that's a kick in the pants. 45% from the ATH is normal fluctuation. If you can't handle the 45% dips you don't deserve the 1000% gains lol.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cryptocurrency. Every bank wants it gone so they can continue to generate money out of nothing. Now they have to work for it, and soon they'll just be so screwed that they pressure governments to ban it, which is about as useful as banning an email client or the internet hahah.. Just HODL. Best advice I ever got as a newbie.
226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep all crypto in trading platforms or wallets? on: December 30, 2017, 07:16:08 PM
Don't keep money on exchanges then you don't have to worry about the biggest target ever getting hacked and you lose everything. You're a small fish in the ocean when you hold your own private keys. Even better? A hardware or paper wallet. Then no one even knows these bitcoin are in your possession.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally, Bitcoin is a Crime in our Country. on: December 30, 2017, 07:13:40 PM
Source? Sounds like FUD to me. Remember when "China banned Bitcoin" ? Now Korea FUD? Now Bangladesh? Lol this won't last long and people will just circumvent it because it's so easy. A government can't stop a decentralized currency.
228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey guys do you think that Bitcoin price will continue decreasing ? on: December 30, 2017, 07:11:57 PM
Buy the dip! I just got a little more but I don't have a lot of fiat to throw in the ring. I'm way too invested in bitcoin to worry about that lol. I highly doubt we'll go much lower than this. We've goneainstream and people have been waiting for a good opportunity to buy. 40% under the ATH is good in anyone's books.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: If South Korea Crack Bitcoin what is the future of bitcoin on: December 30, 2017, 04:38:39 AM
They aren't cracking down. That was fud. It's just like the bullshit a few months back saying China banned bitcoin and whatever.

Korean exchanges just need to know who the hell they're dealing with. They want your real name. Woop dee doo. That is going to happen in every country.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Guys to Watch in 2018: on: December 30, 2017, 04:34:20 AM
i don't know who this Brock Pierce guy is but are you serious with putting John McAfee and Andreas Antonopolous in the same category? Cheesy

McAfee is too hyped up about cryptocurrencies in general and it seems to me like he is mostly interested in earning money from them. it is noticeable from the way he advertises random small altcoins to pump.

Yeah exactly. He's just a permabull that likes to make up crap like the price will be at a million in 2020. I mean sure we all want it, but I highly doubt it. Andreas just wants to educate people on bitcoin like a good person.
231  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning Network VS SegWit2Mb(S2X) on: December 30, 2017, 04:20:15 AM
It seems for me that lightning network makes bitcoin more centralized. I do not like this. How do you think?

I think that, lightning network will always be a CHOICE. You can still use old-type addresses, and pay higher transaction fees, or you can use lightning network with smaller fees.

I would use old-type addresses for big sums and lightning network for smaller sums.

Exactly. Off chain transactions are a choice. You don't have to use them and you can always use your best judgement to know if it would be worth it or not. Centralized though? It's hard to say how centralized it would be at this point.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is Bitcoin Year and 2018 will be Ethereum Year on: December 30, 2017, 04:02:33 AM
Captain hard fork and his infinite supply shitcoin crew and their infinite wisdom have decided that if the cryptocurrency community doesn't grow up he's leaving. Good luck with that shitcoin. Obviously the guy with the God complex leaving will make it come crashing down since no one wants the helm of that shitshow. Bitcoin will be going up even more in 2018. You just watch eth go stagnant for another loooong period of time then it'll drop like a rock and all the shitty worthless ERC20 tokens will too. Good luck with that.
233  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Don't use binance on: December 30, 2017, 03:48:00 AM
That didn't really explain the problem. Was it something you screwed up and you're contacting support or something that went wrong with the actual exchange?
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 is coming on: December 30, 2017, 03:43:58 AM
I think the price is going to stay fairly stable until the first couple of weeks then all the fud will have blown over. Korea didn't actually ban anything and they are just adding normal requirements like real names need to be used.
235  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOINCORRECTION on: December 29, 2017, 04:24:12 AM

236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCX surpass BtC? on: December 29, 2017, 04:04:54 AM
Generating shitcoins out of thin air and adding words or letters to Bitcoin doesn't make it a viable real-world solution. How many shitcoins do we even have at this point? My god I need to get my coins out of cold storage and dump these before they're nothing, even though they're as close to nothing as they could be without dying at this point. ICO or air drops are a better way to get attention rather than forks, and even those are shitty at this point.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming Bitcoin Forks/Splits and Exchanges That Promise to Honor Them on: December 29, 2017, 04:01:31 AM
There have always been lots of forks but no one really cared because they died. I doubt most of these will last, just like the old days. They aren't worth the time in most cases, but sometimes you get a little bit out of them so why not just increase your Bitcoin stack by a small percentage I guess right? Doesn't change the fact that they're going to die off quickly though.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: New question on: December 29, 2017, 03:49:55 AM
One transaction has nothing to do with the other, so sending a higher fee will most likely end up in the second transaction getting confirmed before the first. It depends on the fees of course.

Fees are set in satoshis per byte, which you can check on a block explorer. If you provide the transaction IDs I could look into it for you.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 81% of BTC mining hashratre is concentrated in China . on: December 24, 2017, 03:54:06 AM
Not really. It's not like 'China' is a person. It's also not a group of people working together. Thinking that somehow they're lumped together or all know each other is actually really strange. If your country was the biggest mining country, does that make you bad in some way if you mine too? Does that mean your bitcoins are now more centralized because you and all of your friends mine bitcoins? Not at all.
240  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Advice for a newbie looking to buy a Miner? on: December 24, 2017, 03:46:11 AM
Just get a decent GPU and mine alts. You're buying an outdated miner from a company that's using the next generation already and you'll maybe break even if your electricity is cheap enough. Bitcoin mining was ruined before I was even into bitcoin. Just looking into it briefly shows how much I'd lose every month. It'd be rough.
