541  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda deletes my posts on: September 23, 2017, 06:37:46 PM
It's a self moderated thread. They're pretty much able to delete anything they want. If you don't like it don't post there.

Also, what the hell did your post add to the thread? It was obviously just trolling, which would have been deleted by a mod even if it weren't self moderated!

What's the end game here man? What's the point to all of this? Also, why is this is scam accusations? Did he scam you of your dignity or some shit like that? Lol.
542  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining Bitcoin Case Study on: September 23, 2017, 03:09:03 AM
-snip-

Well that was already the situation way back then. I'm not even sure how Genesis keeps their services up in this environment.

it is very simple to do that since they are a reputable company,

Yeah right hahaha. There's not a chance at all that they're a legitimate company. No company rents out hashing power for other people to make profit rather than them making profit. It's so obvious it's not a sustainable business but we'll see how long they can keep up the charade.

Actually it is a legit company, and its been around for 4 years now. By selling hash power they then bring in a large amount of capital fast instead of slowly by mining and then they build out their farms and purchase more ASIC miners (they also make money on the fees). By selling hash power they have also diversified by not having their sole income from mining. If Bitcoin goes down to $500 tomorrow the mining would stop but they already made bank by leasing that hash power to others. Let me know if anything else has gone over your head as well.

Lol this newb is now going to define a ponzi and pretend it's a smart investment. This is hilarious.

When it all comes crashing down on you (which I can tell you're shilling for them so I'm sure you're in on the ponzi somehow) don't say I didn't warn you.

No cloud mining scheme has ever been legitimate and none ever will be. You can quote me on that.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does BTC control a lot of the other altcoins on: September 23, 2017, 03:05:32 AM
You're going to buy NEM? Wow. You really are a n00b. Maybe look up what their real world purpose is. Aren't they also heavily pre-mined or am I thinking of many other alts out there?

Bitcoins are king so when bitcoins drop altcoins will almost certainly drop even harder 90% of the time. They're bitcoins with 50%-100% more risk basically is how I see them.
544  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help Build Something Helpful on: September 23, 2017, 03:00:23 AM
But what is going to make people actually go to your website? Is it calculating mining profitability or just the price of bitcoins vs. Altcoins? What exactly are the calculatirs going to be for?
545  Economy / Economics / Re: To be a millionaire in the United States is to still be poor on: September 23, 2017, 02:53:16 AM
Just look at what a million dollars can get you. A 76 square meter apartment at the capital.

I'm sorry but that doesn't sound like being rich to me. That sounds like massive inflation has happened and we just haven't adjusted yet.

I have more faith in my worthless crypto-tokens over their worthless monopoly money they can print for themselves and their friends.

Fractional reserve masturbation economics don't reach me anymore.

Living in a big city is really abnormally expensive so that's kind of a weird analogy. Where I'm from, $1million US will get you 100 acres and an 8000 square foot mansion. Yeah we get it, inflation is ridiculous, but it's going to seem so ridiculous when you look at expensive cities.

547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxless and free society? on: September 22, 2017, 02:18:24 AM
This has been brought up so many times but who the hell is going to pay for infrastructure? Hospitals? What if you break your leg? You just get shot and life moves on? Idk, I'm skeptical that it could ever work unless the 'government' in this country is invested in cryptocurrency and everything is bought with the interest made from them.
548  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin single handedly dropped 20% in the last 24 hours! on: September 17, 2017, 03:57:48 AM
It's pure market manipulation. Welcome to the wild west. Anything goes here. Ceos of major businesses just pretty much say whatever the want, even if they can't define a word that their business is based on. It must suck to be so heavily regulated when your biggest competition can't be hahaha. How frustrating for the silly turd.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: September 17, 2017, 03:55:08 AM
Wow the fees are 10x what the bank charges guys. I had no idea it was $200 to send a one input/output bitcoin transaction. We've totally screwed.

Oh wait OP doesn't understand remittance prices. Way to go. Google is your friend.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell is JPMorgan upto? on: September 17, 2017, 03:52:27 AM
They're just like insulting their own smart clients and they're getting fucked now that the truth is coming out as to why this toddler minded-ceo is doing this.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: hash power almost in china is very dangerous on: September 17, 2017, 03:40:44 AM
Omg no. Like what? Just no. Where did you see that bitcoins are banned and did that source have any sort of official documents? I don't think so
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: September 17, 2017, 03:38:52 AM
If bitcoins somehow go to 0, 90% of the market will go to 0. That's how everything works in cropland except a very select few coins and / or the coins that are currently being pumped and manipulated.
553  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies and its political nature. on: September 17, 2017, 03:36:55 AM
The problem is people over react by a ton if some bad news happens in one country. Eventually I guess all of the sheep will get minds of their own and realize that even if 10% of the market banned bitcoins that would only be a 5%reduction in value because some people would continue to use it anyway.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should a case be filed on the CEO who tagged bitcoin as fraud and bought the dip on: September 17, 2017, 03:34:02 AM
Ok so how can you actually prove that they made a bitcoin purchase for themselves? It was probably a smart investor of theirs that ignored that the CEO was a moron and is friendly with his local banker.
555  Economy / Goods / Re: :P I'm selling a house in Milan (Italy) for 60 bitcoins, its 100% legit! on: September 17, 2017, 03:30:41 AM
Do you have a real estate ad up? Pictures? Do you know of a lawyer that is familiar with out of the country purchasers?
556  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: hi just curious and wanting to ask a question. on: September 17, 2017, 03:27:27 AM
If you're looking to buy an s7 they aren't that hard to find on bitcointalk or usually eBay. If you aren't paying for power just make sure you don't go nuts with a $500 bill to start or your landlord will freak!
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don't see how people profit largely on: September 17, 2017, 03:24:48 AM
Holy crap you make it sound complicated. Why don't you just HODL and not worry about the dips unless you have too much fiat kicking around that you need to convert?
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China will completely ban bitcoin on: September 17, 2017, 03:23:08 AM
...

Anyone who thought China would be a friend to Bitcoin was delusional.

This was always anticipated.
This is the beginning of birth pains.
This is when the actual experiment begins.

I like to see what will be the future of mining in the country if this happen and especially how this chinses mining cartel will survive. Is surprise that Jihan and Bitmain spent a huge stake of money to fight over silly things like Block size, blockstream evil etc and has not predict that something like that wil be possible to happen.
I will laugh for months if Jihan ask the help of blocstream to keep operating in china

Chinese Miners will just switch to a government approved coin if restricted
by the Great Firewall. It is more probable that Jihan and others knew this
would occur all along, and kept it hidden from their customers and the world,
and thus why they created Bitcoin Cash. In China, nothing is coincidence.

Yes! This had to be known by them and there had to be a motive for creating BCH. There's no way they screwed up this badly. As for the government coin, I doubt that would help their citizens at all (obviously). At that point they might as well just use fiat.
559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price will DROP MORE? on: September 17, 2017, 03:18:35 AM
Ok well since the OP yeah we dropped, but resistance has been met and we've sitting steady now. I'd expect another bull market in a few weeks. Bitcoin waits for no one.
560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: with bitcoin can I get an island? on: September 17, 2017, 03:15:13 AM
Lol it depends on how much money you have, where you want to live and how big the island is!!
