21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How you trade in uncertain times? on: May 25, 2024, 08:44:21 AM
I always use highly volatile coins and stable coins trading pairs. Sometimes it works well but sometimes, as normal I lose.
I would say that trading is just good and profitable during bull season but not during bear season. Although I was not a full-trader but with my experience in all market seasons, I could really feel the big difference. And this is what I usually did, I held during the market crisis and just went back to trading when it started to recover. From that strategy, I secured my funds but I'm not sure if this will work on others because of different styles and market approaches.

But for me, we'd rather not trade if we feel uncertain instead, hold them. There are good and bad times for trading, we must know it through market analysis and experience.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 25, 2024, 07:58:17 AM
I think we heard it all and surely we all agree that this is not a good idea nor thinking about it every time we gamble.

If we are a responsible gambler, we don't have to compromise finances for the sake of gambling. Not that I call this useless stuff but it is not the necessary thing that we need to fund money.

This is all about funds management and keeping in mind that gambling ensures nothing but more losses. I am a gambler but just use only my extra money.
I believe that changing our gambling habits by minimizing our time spent and funds allocation is a good way of dealing with this.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to maximize winning potential and control excessive gambling habits on: May 24, 2024, 11:37:51 PM
Maximizing the winning potential and controlling gambling habits is just like practicing a healthy gambling habit, not an irresponsible one.
It is not about knowing how to manage our bankroll but the most important thing is how to manage ourselves to stay out of addiction and also control our greed. These are the reasons why gamblers never enjoy anymore in the sense that they are not gambling for entertainment but in the seek to make (more) money. The more we think about it, the more we lose control of ourselves and it is not healthy anymore.

The moment that our greed and emotional stress influence our minds, we forget everything. In order to avoid this, we have to start being a responsible gambler and make it a habit.
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People are interesting talking more about their success stories. on: May 24, 2024, 02:17:51 PM
Its human habit just interested talking more successful stories to the other in cryptocurrency but most of them hidden or make more privacy with how many time get failure and loss from bitcoin or altcoin investment.
Almost the same with future trader always show us their success stories when success taking much profit and show us PNL profitable earn but hidden how many time get liquidation from future trading.
Usually for the first time success achievement in trading or cryptocurrency most of us will sharing to the other and publish on social media, but believe or not after having much experience will make your self more privacy when sharing profitable from cryptocurrency trading and try to make more privacy only your self know with bitcoin profitable or achievement.
But for me, I prefer to listen to people who talk about how they survive from failure until gain success. I would like to know their way of survival when they are suffering and in financial crisis, because that is more interesting and from that we also gain some ideas. Because I know that nobody becomes successful without committing mistakes and experiencing failures in life as we all have that situation.

Maybe, their stories could also help us as we try and we take those stories as a reason why we don't have to quit despite those struggles we face, instead make this a reason to stay strong and determined in reaching our goal.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 24, 2024, 12:18:34 PM
BTW, Ginebra is looking like a winner in game 4, this series is sure gonna be even after the game.
Yeah, it was a dominant win by th Gin Kings, a needed win to even the series, and now we have a new series which is only down to best of 3. I guess we will be seeing a game 7 here, and I have a feeling that next game it will be Meralco that will be winning and then Ginebra for game 6 and 7. I hope this is not scripted but the way I see it, they are evenly match so Meralco gives better value as they are an underdog in ever game.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 24, 2024, 11:07:46 AM
I think there's nothing wrong with that odds, punters are  good at putting the line for us to bet, and so it's either we take it or not and believed otherwise. I'm one of those though who fall for the Wolves in game 1 as I thought that they will win with ANT leading but it seems that he had struggle in this game.

But the game 2 is still unpredictable though, it could be a trap that the Mavs are now the clear favorite. But the Wolves are good at adjusting and obviously, they don't want to be down 0-2 in this series, just saying.
The odds are just correct as it's expected the Wolves are gonna even the series, the question now is if they could cover or not. Based ont their records in the playoffs, if they win they usually cover the spread, so it's safe to assume that if they'll win game 2, it should be close to double digit if it will not fall into that. Still it's a risk because there's no guarantee it will happen, all that is just the line set up by the odds provider, so we just have to choose the right side, and hopefully we can.

Yeah I pretty much think whoever is the home team will be slight favorites here unless one of the stars gets hurt or isn't playing.  I think Wolves even it up but who knwos last series with them the road teams kept winning.  Gonna be a back and forth series if it was anything like last night.  The other series is going to be boring.  Can't see it going more than 5 or so games

I'm guessing here, I think what we saw in game 1 will be the complete opposite in game 2 but the Wolves are gonna win by double digit. This is the only series that might entertain us, so Dallas winning in game 2 might make it a boring series, with that said, I'm betting on the Wolves in game 2 with -5.5.

The Celtics vs pacers will sure be boring because the Pacers' star player got injured and there's no assurance if he'll play in game 3, or if he'll play, not sure if he is 100%, so we can't really expect a competitive game without Tyrese Haliburton.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Gambling vs Sport Betting, Lets Discuss on: May 23, 2024, 10:10:19 PM
Casino gambling offers a different environment and socialization style, we can gather our friends there and gamble together if we want. But how does it differ from sports betting? If we talk about the chances of winning, it is very clear that sports betting has bigger chances but if we talk about enjoyment, well, we could say it depends on our preferences. Why? Because even we know that casino games are pure lack based games still we can see a lot of people going there in and out which means that gamblers find it enjoyable. Therefore, I don't think that gamblers are gambling for the sake and the hope of winning big but also, we consider that they are enjoying their time with this even if they lose.

29  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why trading and not something else? on: May 23, 2024, 01:00:27 PM
I could not say I was a full-time trader but just a trader with years of experience, yet I won't spend too much time with this due to my hectic time allowance. But it is not a big deal for me knowing that I just do this for a part-time job.

Why did I choose this? Well, not new to hear that trading is profitable when we have the right skill and knowledge and I believe that trying doesn't make me die. Living in curiosity made me started and it was crazy when you are learning, you can really feel the eagerness inside. But because I have another job (my main source of income) I have to make it balanced and spend less time in trading to focus on my stable job.

As an individual, we must know what are our priorities and what are the things we need to focus on. We can have them both but not together at the same time. That is why we choose the best option that we think gives us more.

30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Slow success builds character, fast success builds Ego." Ratan Tata on: May 22, 2024, 09:44:42 PM

It is slow and steady that many times win the race and it is what makes a potential trader learn patience having been steadfast enough, despite the losses.
Even when a newbie trader has attained much profit from attempting to trade frequently, their approach towards the subject of trading and their knowledge base as well as the language or use of terms and words to show intelligence about trading, would be a great difference that is noticed at once.

That is perfect. Slowly but at least continuously until in the end, it is a great success. We can really feel success in trading when we experience that we no longer lose huge amounts. Besides, success is not all about winning and earning money but also how we gain knowledge. Those traders who want shortcuts will never feel such confidence and that is not what we call success knowing that there is a lack in ourselves.

Learning needs patience as we can't take it all in just a few days but several days, weeks, and months. True success is not seen by how a trader speaks but through actions and results.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are confident with your picks, do you win most of the time? on: May 22, 2024, 02:45:54 PM
As a gambler we are always confident with our pick, otherwise we are not a true sports bettor. We give time to analyze a certain game and match up, and we come up with our decision to bet. I can't answer the specific question but I can only say that I lose most of the time with my bets.

I can't deny that beacuse I don't make money in gambling, yes I win some but lose some as well, what's important is the overall record to determine if I'm profitable or not, and in my case I am not yet. I'm saying "not yet" because I'm not making a conclusion of my journey, since it's possible and I belieive I could be profitable in the future.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 22, 2024, 02:06:18 PM
Boston Celtics will play the Indiana Pacers tonight.
Boston Celtics are the favorites in the East, I think they will win the first game without much difficulty, the team is well rested and ready for this game.
It will be a nice and enjoyable game.

Boston Celtics might have just survived a major disaster in game 1, after having multiple double digits lead, they were just about 8 seconds away from throwing the game away, or the better way to describe it would the Pacers very close to earning a win in game 1... I think the Celtics because complacent during those minutes, and it almost ended badly for them, Jaylen Brown had quite a number of big plays, like the 3 point bucket, a steal and a block in those final minute and OT to help Celtics avoid a loss. They sure would need to do better against this hungry Indiana Pacers roster.

The Celtics almost lost that one very important game, but that was supposed to be much more important for the Pacers. If you saw that Haliburton pre-celebrated silently when they were up 5 with seconds more left down the stretch, you could easily tell how important that game was for them to get the W. That was suppose to build momentum for the Pacers to move forward and increase their chances of winning this series. Also, to clear some doubts against them about their wins in 1st round and conference semis against an injury troubled teams.
I think the Celtics' experience just prevailed in the last seconds of the game. They tighten their defense, while the Pacers were getting too excited on getting their first conference finals win.
Now that the Celtics learned the Pacers are not an easy team to beat despite of all the critics against them for reaching the conference finals, I don't think they'll get too complacent moving forward.
I see it differently mate, it seems like the refs are trying to help the Celtics win. There were plenty of moves by Jaylen Brown that should have been called as traveling, yet the refs didn't call them. The refs favored the Celtics in terms of calls, but that does not happen every game. So, again, I'm rooting for the Pacers to win—not just betting on the handicap. Also, the Celtics seem unable to stop the offense of the Pacers, who are really moving at a fast pace. So, I think it's going to be an easy over for the Pacers in game 2.

34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: May 22, 2024, 12:32:56 PM
Everyone can do trading but not everyone can earn there are also loser in trading and they find another job and another ways to earn, maybe trading depends on your strategy together with your luck ot depends on us if we will going to stop or to go on and on until we succeed because if we will stop we will be a loser forever but if we still do trade maybe we will win someday.
Indeed, it happens in real life because even though we say that we all can have an interest in trading, still the results are quite different due to different strategies and decision-making. That is why some traders become successful while others are not. I think we need to accept the fact that we all are not the same. In fact, even within our family, not all have the same behavior and not all have the same interest in life. Trading is just an option, we can try either but not to assume this job will be for us and become successful because whether we like it or not, many have also failed and quit.
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe Bitcoin will surge to new heights after this dip on: May 21, 2024, 10:03:11 PM
I can totally see why people feel optimistic that Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high after this latest price drop.  Plenty of folks seem to think it's a prime buying opportunity right now.  But you raise a fair point - not everyone sees it that way and  some investors remain cautious, wanting to see where things land before making any big moves.

At the end of the day, reasonable minds can disagree on this stuff.  I don't think either view makes someone naive or foolish.  It really comes down to your own investing style and stomach for risk.  But one thing's for sure - Bitcoin keeps things interesting! Its price swings tend to spark lively debates, thats for sure.
That is trust and faith - people believe it as it happened in the past when ATH came after halving and that kind of belief is still on their minds despite the drops. Whether it is true or not but I would agree with them and I was also expecting ATH in the coming days.
Their optimism drives them to keep calm and stay strong. But those who feel uncertain will make themselves uncomfortable.

We can say that every drop is a buying opportunity but of course, we can expect everyone will take this especially when they're done already. And I assume that most of us have filled our bags already during the last major correction.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 21, 2024, 10:22:23 AM
The odds of Minnesota skyrocketed during the 2nd quarter when they are being dominated by Nuggets. I didn’t manage to bet because I’m busy watching but thise who bet live get a solid win.

It's worth noting that the Wolves looked down by the end of the second quarter of that game, as the Nuggets were already leading by a lot of points. Placing a bet on the underdog team to win at that point seems like a bit of a gamble, and I think there were very few who actually decided to do it.
There's always risk in gambling, it's up to you if you'll take the risk. High risk, high reward, that's what you get especially if you are betting on the moneyline. I wonder what was the betting odds when wolves were down by 20, and if someone bet on them to win straight up, that would be a lot of x....

p.s.
As for the upcoming series, I personally expect the Wolves and Celtics to meet each other in the finals.
Based on the betting odds they are likely to meet in the Finals, but we can wait, and let's see if they can beat their respective opponents because I think the Pacers and the Mavs are in the conference finals because they are also good.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 21, 2024, 08:16:25 AM
SMB is just too much for ROS. Although ROS are sharing the ball very well which is good but their 3 point shooting was really the problem in this game. Just    27% from 3's and since that should be their main weapon to defeat SMB, with a low percentage that's an automatic loss. ROS really struggling to score in the paint as JMF is waiting their to block shots, and sometimes when JMF attack the paint, he can also grab some offensive rebounds which hurts more the ROS. Now, let's talk about game 3, what should be the strategy the ROS has to use? Because they can't afford to go 0-3 where no team have even comeback in the PBA history.

Actually there was already a team that came back from a 0-3 hole and that is the Beermen also lead by that time a younger June Mar Fajardo. It was dubbed as a "beeracle" where the SMB Beermen defeated the Alaska aces four consecutive game to grad the AFC trophy. Just forgot what year that was but it really happens in the PBA.

Yes, it does not happen in NBA but it happen in the PBA, it's already in the history.

However, the situation was different with the current match up of the SMB now because ROS are healthy and they are the underdog in the series, unlike that time where SMB was only underdog because they don't have their best player,  but when he came back, it changes everything and they made a history.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still to Invest into meme coins? on: May 20, 2024, 12:13:05 PM
Let us assume OP that you are not promoting this project, but don't bother to dig deeper because meme coins are just good in the hype, not in profit.
If you care about your money, you'd rather stop looking for meme coins and instead, invest it in ETH or BTC. Don't get too attracted to those people who claim that meme coins are worth it and profitable because they are not.

Smart investors look for long-term investment, not just hype and short-term.
But that is your money, anything you do is yours and in the case of losing, it is just yourselves to blame.
39  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has Trading Competitions competitions led you to challenge your skills? on: May 18, 2024, 03:29:41 PM

If you guys really wanna get into them, then I think there'll be more crypto trading tournaments this year. You just have to be sensitive to announcements and have courage to participate ahah. Any experience about trading tournaments, let's hear your view.
I have not yet seen an exchange promoting trading competition aside from the exchange (Bitget) that you have said.
Does it look interesting and courageous? No, I feel not because as a trader, we don't need to prove and no point in showing who is a great earner or challenge ourselves to be the top among others. Instead, make it a secret as much as possible, and besides, trading is not a competition in the first place as we are able to excel in trading without showing it to others. Doing this will never give us the benefits because nothing will change us, it is the company/exchange that has it.

Anyway, I just hope that all the traders who join the competition will find it helpful to themselves and their trading journey. It is a matter of choice but I chose to stay out of such things.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 18, 2024, 02:27:48 PM
Reality check - we often realize that our gambling habits are not right anymore when we already suffer big losses.
In this case, we should have to pause for a while and see things that we are doing, and cut it out. Honestly, being a responsible gambler is not difficult but yes, this usually happens after having some bad experience.

Therefore, I would say that falling into addiction is an option because we can correct it if we want. Unfortunately, some just let it happen and continue doing it wrong.
