21  Economy / Economics / Re: Disregard false religious teachings and invest for the future. on: May 20, 2024, 07:06:42 AM
I'm not saying Bitcoin is the only investment option right now but people should spread their investment in different areas not only depending on office jobs, and most importantly avoid being misled by their religious leaders.

Of course, BTC is not the only investment option available, but there are many others as well, but if it has entered the crypto world, BTC is the most trusted. We don't know what the future will look like and it should be necessary to prepare for the long term, especially if you have invested in BTC for the long term. Related to the above, I personally remain focused on the core goal of continuing to invest long-term in BTC.

yeah right, if you are looking for long term investment then bitcoin is the most trusted digital currency today, especially since it has proven its ability over time, everyone just needs to be aware that when it comes to crypto investment, it is volatile and chances of decreasing and increasing its value are always present. The matter of religion is too broad topic and it is difficult to talk about it because we have different views when it comes to religious contradictory. It does not affect what religion you have in the things you know there is nothing wrong with what you are doing

22  Economy / Economics / Re: How to improve your condition? on: May 20, 2024, 06:46:25 AM
Well, every other person seems to be saying that it is your fault that you are poor, improve your condition yourself, but no one tells you how to improve your condition when you are living in a country where there are places where you have to pay tax on even breathing. How to improve? How to make money? How to get rich in a rising inflation?

I belong to a country where jobs are non-existent, offline work is not something that can earn more money with less work or even with more work, it has become very difficult to earn a living with dignity. Online jobs are not allowed in our country, especially trading, so my question is, what job can a person do and improve his condition?

I have heard from everyone that it is not your fault to be born poor. Still, it is your fault to die poor, so my question is after so many restrictions, how can you survive without any opportunities or become rich and how can it be your fault if you are talented and well-educated and you don't have people to bribe or recommend? You are not given a chance anywhere to show your ability and any work that is online can't be done because your government doesn't allow you and if you do it, all authorities and forces will fall behind you.

Regards
SK

If that's the case, I will think more out of the box. I'm just curious because you said that online jobs are not eligible in your country, but we're on digital age, everything comes and works via online unless you're in a rural area? If that's the case, why not sacrifice somwle time just to earn money? Here in our country, if there's no other way to earn income that can sustain everyday living, the only solution that we can advise is to work abroad, it's not that easy but we need to sacrifice or else, all of us will be living in poverty.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: It's very easy to predict future how economy will be this way on: May 19, 2024, 10:14:12 AM
(...)It all depends how it all goes techolodgy can create hell on earth or better life it depends how we choose to use it.

IMO, it's not about how things turn out because things are inherently perfect, it's just about how people treat life, I don't like blaming the means in life like that.

Like talking about technology, but also like you mentioned, the choice belongs to us.

Anyway, let it be a matter of speculation about the future, but for now let's make the best of everything, every moment of life.

Yeah right, we cannot totally predict what will gonna happen in the future so I suggest to take things slowly but surely now and make the most out of it, If we want to become rich or retire early then we should work hard so we can achieve those things at very early time. If we always think about what will happen in the future and we don't take action especially for our own development, it seems like we are just wasting time, right? maybe it's better to spend our time improving our lives because there's nothing we can do if we keep blaming the things we didn't want to happen.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accessing gambling sites only on desktop as a means to prevent addiction on: May 19, 2024, 09:17:59 AM
I'd like to share with the community a humble trick I've seen helping me and also many others.

As we all know gambling these days has become very easy to reach all aspects of our lives. You can play at home with online casinos, you can verify yourself without having to get any physical documents thanks to eID etc. You can even play from your bed thanks to mobile apps and mobile friendly gambling websites.

Well the approach is quite simple. Just as those working from home will share a pro tip that they have compartmentalized their work space from their living space to be separate, so they can live the rest of their day before and after work peacefully... Under the same principle it might be best to just not login to your gambling account on mobile.

If you have  pressing obligations, if you have a strict budget or limits, which to be real we all do in some way or another, it's best to compartmentalize your gambling also. Only do it at a certain spot on a certain machine. Don't bring it everywhere and don't open up the possibility of playing everywhere all the time.

That's it basically. It's what I do also. For me it's a preventative measure to save time but also prevent addiction or financial ruinage. For others it might be a recovery tactic. Who knows. You can try it or tell us how it has worked for you if you already tried.

it will work for those who are new to gambling, but if a person has been gambling for a long time using a mobile device and then you transfer it to a desktop, it will not be an effective solution to reduce gambling addiction. Also, if an individual is really determined to be a responsible gambler, no matter what way or device is used, it will not end up being an addiction. maybe it would be better if there was a best practice to avoid reaching such a state of life.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 19, 2024, 08:38:28 AM
First remember that you have to play with common sense and responsibility, to make sure that the game is always an entertainment. Knowing this won't make you go to the extreme of borrowing money to gamble. And you have to know the golden rules of gambling. Which are!

(1) DON'T FORGET IF YOU PLAY YOU CAN ALSO LOSE

(2)FOR YOU, GAMING MUST ONLY BE A HEALTHY FOR ENTERTAINMENT.

(3) DON'T SPEND MORE MONEY THAN YOU CAN AFFORD

(4) DO NOT GAMBLE TO WIN BACK MONEY THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST BY GAMBLING.

(5) DON'T LET GAMBLING INTERFERE WITH YOUR WORK OR WITH YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES.

(6) REMEMBER THAT GAMBLING IS NOT THE IMPORTANT THING IN YOUR LIFE. DON'T LET GAMBLING AFFECT YOUR FAMILY LIFE OR YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

(7) SET YOURSELF A BUDGET AND DON'T EXCEED IT.

Why I brought this topic it's because so many people are still paying debt, why? Because they went ahead of borrowing money just to gamble and by the end of the day, they lose it all.  I know of a friend who is still battling to pay of his debt while he used the money on gambling. Is it proper no. What are the main points of gambling?
(1) CONSIDERATION
(2) ANY AMOUNT WAGERED.
(3) RISK (4) CHANCE AND A PRICE.

With you knowing this elements, you won't bother to go to the extreme of borrowing money to gamble. So have you borrowed money to gamble? If you do please take notes of this and stop it.

One of the most important things that I put in my rules is to never gamble with the money you owe, because I believe that if you use the money you owe to other people, it will not bring you luck and this will be the cause of your sinking and defeat. It is also not good to see if you borrow money just for gambling because we are not sure if we will win or not, It would be good if it is used in business, there is still a good chance to turn around and grow the money you borrowed.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling losses are traps to new game on: May 19, 2024, 05:33:02 AM
losses in gambling are not a trap for gamblers, because if a gambler returns to gambling even when he understands that he has lost a lot, it is not a trap from the casino, but the mistake lies with the individual who thinks that he can recover his losses by gambling. more money. because many people blame that casinos are fraudulent and evil because many people lose their money there, but they don't think that casinos are also a place of business where they have algorithms that benefit them. if they think that the casino can give them a chance to hit the jackpot every time they play at it, then it is a mistake of their mindset to be too greedy.

It's not because losing at a casino will be a reason to try another game, I don't think the casino intended that kind of strategy, but it's up to you what you do if you experience a loss, because many of us want to try different gambling because their mindset is only focused on gambling, they don't think that when we lose, we should give ourselves a break so that we can better think of a proper strategy for the next session to be played.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 19, 2024, 04:51:37 AM
For me there is no someone who is into gambling that we say that is a responsible gambler and responsible Gambler is a person who gambled with a strategies and also not or involve a borrowing money into gambling so responsible Gambler so a responsible Gambler is also a person who does not chase it loss in gambling it a gamble based on its own idea
Having a strategy in gambling is really necessary, but there are some gamblers who can carry out their strategy well and there are also those who ignore the strategy they already have well, so I think it is important for every gambler not to violate the rules they have made before gambling because if they can't carry out their strategy well of course it will be difficult for them to get good results from the gambling they play, continuing to chase losses in the hope of winning the bet they are making is of course this is not very good because it is very rare for those who have experienced defeat on their bets when chasing losses they have experienced can get back the winnings they want, so it would be better when we have experienced a loss we can stop gambling and try another opportunity and I think this will make us less prone to addiction.

That's right, we should just stick to the plan or strategy that we are doing so that we don't get confused or lose focus because when we try a new strategy, we are not sure if it will be effective to lessen the possible losses. When gambling losses are consecutive, it is better to take a break or put aside the gambling session first and rest your mind, you can also try another game but to avoid losses, it is better to have a break.
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: May 18, 2024, 11:00:49 PM
There is no contrary view to the existing answer an addict remain an addict just like transgender issue the original genital organ remain same what is happening is the heart that is controlling the addicted person there are some who plays online and still control themself likewise the off line this is just a matter of mind and control the nut side of gambling no one is too gud as they drained pocket but if play with wisdom can get  the fun not the other way round.

I agree, regardless if this is online or offline but if you're addicted on it already, there's nothing to compare because everyone still continue what they really want to do - Gambling.
when a person is addicted to something, it will find a way to do what they want, so even if they are doing offline gambling, it seems to be a continuous effect on them because they continue to do gambling.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: What is The Negative Effect of Inflation on Household Savings? on: May 18, 2024, 02:03:13 PM
There are two types of consequences: if you have money on your bank account they lose their purchasing power because you are subjected to an "implicit tax" because your saving are cut by the increasing in the price level. So you should be able to invest your money in bond or in  the Capital market in order to close the gap with the inflation rate.

Obviously investing you can achieve more profits but losses at the same time, due the equation more yield and more risks.

If you want an advice you can just think to invest your money in bond because Central Banks will decrease interest rates in the long run because inflation is falling sharply.

When you save money somewhere, you do it with a purpose. But when inflation occurs, the prices of all goods rise, which is why saving for a long period of time has both pros and cons. So my suggestion is that if you have money to do homework, you can start homework, not finish it but still do as much as you can.

Inflation can affects the majority of our savings and budgeting skills because the amount that we need to spend to buy our needs in life is changing. It is difficult to suddenly change the price of products and services especially if there is no increase in wages, what is happening now is that all values are increasing but there is no increase in wages, how can people save if all income goes to expenses? Imagine those people who's always in their survival mode because of the inflation.
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An aggressive gambler irrelevantly easing his Irresponsible gambling manner. on: May 17, 2024, 11:53:59 PM
Don't be like him.

If you lose, move on and forget about that bet and day. There's no other way to recover your losses but through betting again or doing it with other source of your income and then don't gamble anymore.

Doing such physically is probably satisfying to him but if you do believe in karma, whatever you did to the other people will surely be done to you as well but in a more bad manner.

Bet as if you're totally okay to lose that money and don't be so emotional!

when your emotions are not stable while you are gambling, chances are high that you will not think about the actions you will take because you are only focused on one thing. It's a big help to stop temporarily while you fix yourself so that you don't make wrong decisions, especially when you lose in gambling one after another, it's better to pause first because only when you force yourself to take back what you lost , you might just run out of all the money you have and worst case is that your other property will be sold or mortgaged.
31  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Gambling popularity sa social media on: May 17, 2024, 09:48:23 PM

32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? on: May 17, 2024, 09:16:57 PM
I see that current youth is inspired by celebrities and influencers in big way. Did you also start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? Or you know people who belong to that category ? Is it a wise decision to do so or we should do our own research for better results ?

I've known bitcoin for a very long time, when the value of 1 bitcoin is only $520.00 only. It wasn't the famous personalities that encouraged me to invest but the people I met in crypto. they are just normal people, they also have professions in life but they are financially stable and know how to manage money. If I look back, it started when they became our regular clients in our small business, they all already know about bitcoin, they invest and doing trading, some of them are also involved in signature campaigns, but I started as a white paper translator. at that time, bitcoin was not that popular because not everyone would invest in it, the image of bitcoin was not good before because the news about crypto was all negative, that it was a scam, used for bad things especially in dark web, etc.
Recently, bitcoin has been making noise among celebrities but we are not sure, maybe because other famous personalities have had bitcoin investments for a long time, but they not broadcast it in news or social media because of course when it comes to financial discussions, it should be confidential.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 17, 2024, 01:00:49 PM
That's the bad side of online gambling, you can't really control the users you get, even with the under 18 rule, teenagers can just lie and still get access to gambleing features, I think they have to get more strict and find better ways to keep teenagers off gambling sites, maybe by taking some birth certificate as part of their kyc verification, I think that would reduce the amount if teenagers in online casino.
what I do believe is that why do gambling site really cares about who will gamble when they are targeting as many depositors and players they may get?that 18 and up rules is just written but they don't wanted to strictly implement that and will let those youngster lied in their details because they will only face the problem once you won and need to withdraw lol.

this is one of the things I noticed when it comes to online gambling sites, especially that there is no verification process that happens when you create an account and sign-in, Usually there are people I know who are under 18 who can use gambling sites because they fake the identity they use to create an account, so many minors now know about different types of gambling but it's difficult because they are exposed to this activity at a young age and if you think about it, at that particular age, we can say thay some of them aren't totally matured when it comes to decisions and thinking. they are prone to gambling addiction especially if they can't control themselves. At that age, parents no longer monitor what activities they are doing, but even so, parents should check by talking to their children what they are really busy with, in that way they can even give an advice on what to do and what not to do.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting a business without capital. on: May 17, 2024, 12:35:01 PM
Is very possible starting up a business without capital all you need is your ability of pursuing success.
Affiliate marketing is a business you can venture into without capital and still make good money from it, even more than some businesses started with capital.
Affiliate marketing is the process by which a person earns a commission for marketing another person's products.
All you need to start this business is good communication skill in other to sell the product of the other person and get a commission for doing that.
You can decide to market product of different company or person's at same time by doing this you are sure that everyday someone will buy from one of those product's there by making money every day.
When you become an expert in affiliate marketing you will start making profit every day of your life.

I believe there's no business that can truly run without capital. Even if you don't have money, you still need the will and determination to succeed, which can be considered a form of capital.

In my opinion, starting affiliate marketing without money, skills, or connections would be extremely difficult and time-consuming. You lack the funds for advertising, the ability to effectively sell products, and the network to reach potential customers. Therefore, it's better to treat affiliate marketing as a side hustle while maintaining a stable main job until the income from affiliate marketing becomes consistent and surpasses your primary income.

I agree that once you become an expert in affiliate marketing, you can generate daily profits due to your developed sales skills, which are invaluable.

Well that's true, even if we don't use actual money to run a simple business, but the means and things that we needed to do that business is considered as a capital already, like what you've said, affiliate marketing needs a good quality of devices, the internet and some subscriptions that helps you to have a good quality content for your affiliated items, sometimes you just have to buy the exact item that you will be needed to advertise because some shops doesn't give samplers. Affiliate marketing is one of the best way to become a side hustle especially if you have a limited amount of money, It will gives you a continous profit even if it's a small amount at first but once you get some clients or target costumers, it will grow eventually.
35  Economy / Economics / Re: Ever dreamt of turning your passion into profit? on: May 17, 2024, 10:24:51 AM
Turning a hobby into a business sounds so fun! But I bet it has its challenges too.  What did you do for fun that you managed to monetize? I wanna hear all about how you went from hobbyist to entrepreneur!

Tell me, what struggles popped up as you worked to turn your passion into a profit? How did you push past them? Got any pro tips you can share to help other hobby lovers try to make it big? I love hearing stories of folks who bet on themselves and won.

I have never thought of such before now but what you have passion for, is not necessarily supposed to be turned into profit, there are different passion, when some people open up what they have passion for you will be surprised to hear them say it but then people passion differs too, I will not dispute the fact that turning passion into profit is not good but it depends, when individuals concentrate on how to make a profit out their passion they do so well in it, I believe passion is what you like doing or what you would have love to engage yourself in, i have a friend who love making hair from when were children, he love this so much to the extent that whenever he is with his mum he will bring hair comb and be combing his mother hair, a day came he tried to bread his mum's hair to his greatest surprise he did it perfectly well, his mum encouraged him, people started inviting him to their house to weave their after his mother made them know and was it, as at today he has grown very rich that he owns many big saloon but let's us know that it may not work for everyone.

I also never thought about this. For me, passion is just something to relax after a stressful day at work or to entertain in my free time. Turning passion into work and making a profit from it is not an easy thing that everyone can do.

When we are young, we certainly have many interests and passions and always want to turn them into reality. But when we grow up and are the breadwinner of a family, our passions or hobbies cannot bring profit and support the family. At that time, no one needed it anymore and I thought a grown man's passion was making money.

that's why many of us didn't continue our dreams when we were kids because of what's going on and the situation nowadays, others prefer to take a practical course to find a job easily but if we're making good money, it's possible we can do what we want because we can afford it, just like others who dream of becoming a baker, now they can bake anytime because they have the ability to do that. Always remember that it's not too late especially if we work hard to get what we want.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer the crypto online gambling or regular fiat casinos gambling? on: May 17, 2024, 09:31:24 AM
But gambling with coins will involves of spending more money on the play coins. Which have no value or gain at the moment (if they have value, they wouldn't be play coins, they do just be different kind of currency) So, you’re paying for the privilege of risking something of no value in the hopes of winning something of no value. That doesn’t even count as gambling anymore; that’s paying a fee for the privilege of keeping score on a random number generator. What's your own opinion towards this?
I do not understand what you mean by this. Either you are gambling with coins like bitcoin or you are gambling with fiat, they are money and they both have value.

The only reason I do not like gambling on fiat gambling sites again is because on the international gambling sites that I was using, only wire transfer can be used to withdraw by people in my country, it takes days or weeks before the money will be credited into my account, unlike crypto gambling sites that takes just few minutes to withdraw coins.

you understand correctly, he is just asking what we prefer, whether by the use of cryptocurrency or fiat (land based casino) because there are many here who gamble using their crypto coins. it depends on what people want because sometimes, when the value of crypto coins is high, they prefer to hold it instead of using it for gambling. Usually fiat based gambling is high tech, just connect the bank wallet to gambling sites to top up money then that's it, you can gamble without hassle.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 17, 2024, 08:54:38 AM
Looking at the current result of the poll, many people claim that they are responsible but my question to them is "did you guys vote it with honesty"  Grin Kidding guys, it is good to see that you are responsible person. I was not responsible person when I was still newbie in gambling world and I started to realize it when I lost some money but I keep on repeating it until I got married. Since that time I have someone who is keep advising me anytime I do something which can lead me and family into something bad.

Funny! I bet some of them didn't vote the real answer, joke! It's really good to see that majority of votes are stating that they are responsible, truly enough that some advices and threads here in forum is reliable and helpful. it seems that everyone goes through being irresponsible in the beginning but when we think about the possible effects of what we continue to do, only then will we realize and change.
38  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippine peso Stablecoin on: May 17, 2024, 08:11:52 AM

At ano bang mag reason?

39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the world know about Bitcoin? on: May 17, 2024, 06:52:13 AM
If you have heard of a poor place, an ethnic minority area, or a land of monks,... they don't know or don't bother to see what social life is going on. It's a matter of social conditioning, or perhaps control, that makes accessing something seem unfavorable.

Even in my family the grandmother is now almost 80 years old but they don't want to use the internet and don't care about some devices like smartphones, there is no pressure on anyone to know about bitcoin.

In my opinion, the younger generation should be the one who is most knowledgeable about bitcoin. Old people (bless them) do not really need to be using all this as it’s not exactly necessary to live at least for now. They can survive without using bitcoin however the new generation would definitely be welcomed in to a world where digital currencies are the new normal hence why they have the most to learn about bitcoin.
actually it is quite difficult for parents to teach about bitcoin, especially if they feel they no longer have the desire to pursue money, I would rather use all my energy to teach bitcoin to young people, I read that the purpose of the bitcoin ETF was created to attract Old investors who don't want the hassle of wallets or traditional ways of buying Bitcoin, they want to get Bitcoin even if it's just a piece of paper

Partly true because some parents doesn't want to learn more when it comes to investing their own money especially at this digital age because they only know the traditional investment that usually they have. I agree that it's better for some younger generation to learn more about on it because this is the evolution of future and it's better for them to know how to be financially stable in life even at their young age so they can experience early retirement age unlike what happened to some adults now.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does destiny has influence in the amount we can win in gamble? on: May 17, 2024, 04:40:23 AM
I was just having this thought just within myself (more of an opinion) about some comments have read in the gambling board and complains from gamblers outside the forum, that ever since they have been gambling they have never won a bet amounting to a thousand dollars for it has always been below, while some others say that no matter how much high or low amount they have constantly be using to stake in order to win millions it has never favoured them that it has only been a few thousand bucks they had been lucky to win.

But then, I also find out that there are people that will just start gambling for a short time and boom they have won a jackpot in millions when people that have been there years before them are struggling to win even thousands.

And this makes me to come to a hypothetical conclusion that in gambling each and every person is individually destiny to within the range of certain amount of win. And that if you are not destined to win the high amount you are after, you will never be able to no matter how much you use or the strategy you apply to your bets.

Not to bore us with many words... I want to ask to know about forum members opinions and views about this. Is it what it is or it's just a fallacy?

It depends to your beliefs, many of us has been thinking that each of us has our own fate and luck when it comes to gambling and we can't force our luck to strike to us when we are doing gambling because I always believe that we shouldn't forced things to happen because there's a right time for everything, and if that time came, surely that it will be all worth it.
let's not keep up with those we know who can easily reach the target winning prize they hope to get because maybe it's time for them to become a millionaire at that time but in the next times they might not be so lucky so it should be when we get the lucky for us, let's manage the money properly so that it doesn't run out and be spent on things that aren't that important.
