Hello. Got a weird issue here. This is on my main awesome miner rig that runs the main A.M. host(?). 5x 3080ti asus tuf LHR v512.59 using t-rex mining ETH. When i stop mining, the pc will crash. Sometimes just a soft crash with just a black screen flicker a couple times and some settings are not found like fan or power level in settings, or sometimes it will do a full restart, or a complete black screen hang. This happens ONLY when A.M. is open and running and i try to "stop" mining. Even when hitting stop using the web gui on my phone. If i close A.M. completely, wait a few seconds, then close the miner window, all is well, no crash. This crash will happen even at a 0 overclock. I can recreate this with a minute or 2 of mining. I used to have the 2 options in overclocking enabled, "reset gpu parameters" and "global fan control", but thought that may have something to do with it since i could hear the fans reset at the same time as the crash. But i now have those off and it still happens. Any ideas?
Hi and thanks for your report.

When stopping the mining software, Awesome Miner will by default reset all overclocking properties. Can you please try to disable this by going to the Options dialog, GPU Settings section and uncheck "Automatically reset GPU clocking parameters"?

That was the setting that i already disabled as i thought that was the cause.
Thanks for the update.

Please try these two changes as well, both located in the Options dialog, Mining settings section:
1) Increase the value for "Wait for process stop before terminating" to be significantly higher than the default value.
2) Check the box for "Use Ctrl+C event for closing mining process"

i applied both the ctrl+c and made the wait time longer, now it just takes longer to crash. I have found that i can manually "x" close t-rex with A.M. open and all is well, a.m. just sees it as a "miner not running" and will restart it. so its def something in the "stop" command causing the crash. Again, as long as i dont use a.m. to "stop" it, it never blackscreen reboots.
There is likely a small difference between the behavior when the mining software notice you close the mining console window compared to when Awesome Miner sending the close signal to the mining software.

I assume you run T-Rex as Administrator in order to get the LHR unlock feature. Do you get the same crash behavior if you uncheck the box for Administrator and also try with the Ctrl+C mode enabled?

Hi patrike,
can you change the OC settings for Nvidia cards to set locked core clock and locked core voltage? I hope it is possible.
And any plans for more voltage settings for the newer AMD cards (RX5700, RX6800 for example) like SoC Voltage, Mem Voltage?

The dualmining in SRBMiner has changed a littlebit and need a extra argument and it is also possible to dual mine with Kaspa (KHeavyhash). Can you take a look in it?

Thanks for updating the activity log  Grin but can you change the colors for the dark mode?  Wink
The current method Awesome Miner uses for the lock is only able to lock one of these properties.

Remote Agent on Linux actually supports these properties - I will investigate how to support it on Windows as well.

Thanks for your comments about the activity log as well.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: July 01, 2022, 02:01:07 PM
Hi Patrike, maybe this is a good idea, to add a electricity price input field in "Coins" and "Online services" tabs. So can user quick check profit with different prices
Thanks for tip with profile groups, very helpful.
Heat map "chip temp", "temp", "hashrate" will not be displayed if i try to call over Awesome Miner web in different web browsers. Not work on ver. 9.5.1 & 9.5.2
Regards.
Thanks for the feedback.

I'm not able to reproduce the heatmap issue. Is this for the local web interface or the cloud web interface? Do you see empty boxes or all zeros?
its a local web interface, i see only grey boxes with "-"
Thanks - I was able to reproduce and identify this issue. It will be corrected in the next release.

Hi Patrike,

update for BZminer and dualmining etc/eth+kaspa?

How good will AM recognize FPGA cards? I will start some tests in August.
Thanks for your request. I will look into BzMiner.

Awesome Miner itself doesn't provide any features related to FPGAs. In case the mining software reports status about these devices over their API, we should be able to display them.

Hi Patrike, just try to create a rule where some miners starting if profit of miner greater then 1.01€ per day. But this rule not work. AM ver. 9.5
Trigger: Revenue / Profitability
Property: Miner Profit
Compare operation: Greater then or equals: 1.01€
When conditions are met (s): 10

Action: Start miner

I created also a rule where miner will be stoped if during 60 s miner profit less or equals 1 euro. This rule work and has stopped mining, but starting later not work. check please whats wrong.
Regards

upd: looks like the stoping rule also stop miner at wrong time. Profit switcher show profit more then 1€ per day, but trigger will be activated.
Thanks for your question.

For the Start Miner rule: The current "Miner Profit" will always be zero if the miner isn't running. In this case I would recommend using the property "Profit profile for miner", were the rules can look at the expected profit of the miner, based on the profit profile.

The Stop Miner rule: This rule should have worked based on your description. Note that it's looking at the current profit of the miner which may not be exactly what the profit switcher has in mind for the moment. You could try with the property "Profit profile for miner" here as well.

Hi Patrike, one sufggestion:
Can you please improve a view of Coins & Online Services tabs. You can horizontal split a view and add opportunity to view and compare more then one "Profit rofile" at one time. The profile for each horizontal part can be configured in "Options" for place saving.
Users have rigs with differnt cards and of course different profiles. All time swithching between profiles is not a best sollution for analyzing. For example, i offten need to compare total power consumption of whole system to avoid power line overload and multiview can be a good help. View of 5 profile at the same time, is my dream)
Regards.
Thanks for the suggestion.

A possible way for you to see the total power consumption would be to define Profit Profile Groups (Options dialog, Profit Profile section). This will not solve everything you request here but I want to make sure you have given it a try.

Any Chance ...

That this will be ported to Linux any time at all?

I don't mean 'it works in Linux', because it actually doesn't work in some Distros and not so well in others.

Just curious.

#crysx #cwi
Thanks for your question. I do understand the benefits of providing a more complete solution for Linux-based mining but there are unfortunately no plans for the near future to provide this.

the downloaded installer tells me that awesomeminer.exe cant be located in the cabinet file - than i just used old installer and update afterwards
This also sounds like the installer is being blocked or the download was blocked. Please try to remove the downloaded MSI file, ensure the download can finalize without any security software interruptions and it should install fine next time.

need to come back with this problem

after t-rex update...i have the problem again and now i cant even solve by reinstalling.

when i uncheck "run mining process with Administrator privileges" t-rex is starting, but stops cause admin needed
wenn i check "run mining process with Administrator privileges" the starting failed

i can run the awesome-start.bat in t-rex folder "as administrator" and it runs

so...what the hell is the problem? the intellibreeze service is running...
Hi,

Please try to start T-Rex as Admin one more time, to make sure there is a recent log file entry with the attempt.

Please send me the following:
1) Remote Agent log file

2) The log file "C:\ProgramData\IntelliBreeze\IntelliBreezeMaintenance.log" from the Remote Agent computer.

Thanks,
Patrik
at first - mining process is running on this machine with installed Awesome miner manager (no remote machine)

i think i see the problem but dont know the cause - there is "-w 164836"
in the miner settings i dont check "add to workername" and in pool settings i have workername.164836 (which is rig identifier in miningrigrentals).
the strangest thing is...i deleted identifier...now i have only workername (norman666) and nothing more...BUT...the log shows again the -w 164836

there must be something like a other config that AM used when i start mining process as admin
i have no entries in the other tabs in "managed miner properties" only general is filled and environment

Thanks for the update. Although I agree that the worker name setup looks strange, the main issue is a permission problem where the Administrator task to run the mining software fails to register due to "Access Denied".

1) If possible, send me the complete Awesome Miner log in addition to the complete log "C:\ProgramData\IntelliBreeze\IntelliBreezeMaintenance.log". This will give me a more complete understanding of the issue. You can submit the logs here if you want:
https://www.awesomeminer.com/contact

2) Do you have any non-default permissions on your user folder or run any specific security software that could prevent the access?

Hi Patrike,

i use the activity log and it is nice, but is it possibly to specify the source a little bit? It would be good to show the name of the rule that was triggert. I have many rules for tags, and at the moment i only see - source = rule, typ = miner and action = tags. But showing the rule name make it easier to find a failure for example. I know i can see the rule history with the rule name, but a little bit more information for the activiy log would be nice.

Thanks
