kawpow cant run on awesome whatever miner software I use how come?
I've only verified with 2miners.com RVN pool so far, but it's working fine and I get accepted shares with Gminer, T-Rex Miner, NbMiner and so on. See:
https://rvn.2miners.com/help

Some pools may not be fully up and running after the fork.

Do you get any specific error messages?
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: May 06, 2020, 07:48:26 PM
So where is Raven now ? Dont have it in COINS.....
It was there all this time, now on 7.6 i dont have it

I noticed RVN was removed from the WhatToMine main listing, but still possible to access with a small update. Your Awesome Miner will automatically resolve this within the next few hours but you can force the update right away:

1) Click on the blue Menu button in Awesome Miner
2) Click on "Update Mining Software Definitions". Even if no software updates are found, it will also refresh some cloud settings like what specific WhatToMine coins to always include
3) Go to the Coins tab and click the Refresh button.

Now you should see Ravencoin Kawpow in the list.

anyways to get the temp that is reported for Futurebit miners in their gui to show in AM? It is doing the other stats, just not the temp as far as I can tell. This is true for the Gekkoscience Terminus R606 as well.
It was probably close to a year since I looked into these miners last time, but back then they didn't report temperature over the monitoring interface (API). In the case of Terminus R606 it includes a Temperature property, but it's always zero. So although these miners may render the temperature in the web interface, they don't report it in the monitoring details.

It could be that something has improved in more recent firmware updates of these miners. If you want, please send me the API Reports (toolbar: Tools -> API Report) via PM or mail for these miners and I will investigate if there are any temperature details. Thanks!

Hi Patrik,

any idea when the AM-Firmware for the S17e and the T17e will be available?

BR Ralf
Hi Ralf,

Thansk for your question. The current plan is to have the Antminer S17e and T17e firmware available this month (May).

Okay, here is a strange one. I've worked on it for a few hours and can't resolve.

I have 2 cards in a side rig. One 5700, one 4gb 470. For whatever reason, the 470 won't allocate the dag. It's not the monitor card, so I assume it's good. Any who, I decided to just throw it on Ubiq.

Pool set up for 5700, proto 1, gpus 1 - connects no problem.

Pool set for 470, proto 4, gpus 2. Won't connect to the pool. I check the epool file for that one and no proto is being passed. I've put it in the Phoenix/Claymore section, I've put it in the command line section. If i manually add proto 4 and save/close double click the miner it's all good. But it will not run as it through AM.

I'm currently mining on a pool that I don't want to mine to. Because it takes standard proto.

Any help or suggestions?
Hi,
Using the GPU with only 4 GB memory, did you get an error message about not enough memory to generate the DAG?

For Phoenix Miner I noticed that Awesome Miner didn't consider the PROTO property correctly for Ubiq. If the DAG size is the problem, please try with another EtHash based coin like EXP (Expanse).

Patrike - its funny you asked that... Short answer is yes.

Long answer is -- I Have a 5700XT 8 GB and 470 4 GB in this side rig.... I have a HDMI Dummy plug hooked up in the 5700xt and nothing hooked up to the 470.. Windows is allocating its memory on the 470 rather than the 5700. I checked HWinfo this AM and the 5700 had 2 MB of memory used, 470 at 450 mb of memory used (After stopping mining)

But even then, as you mentioned... Awesome Miner is failing to send over the correct Proto for this case. I've tried Nano Miner and haven't been able to get it to work correctly (IE: It uses the 5700xt, not just the 470) and it fails to log into the pool I've choosen.
I've made a correction for the PROTO property for this scenario. It will soon be released.

In general, it's getting more difficult to use 4 GB cards as the DAG size requirements are increasing all the time. This is also why some coins work while other fail - the DAG size requirements are different.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: May 06, 2020, 01:40:12 PM
please Add kapowminer and update the raven couin settings to show kapow instead of x16r thanks!

change ravencoin settings by yourself. changing algo to kawpow and thats it. donīt be lazy my friend.
About RVN: There will be a new Awesome Miner release available within the next 1 - 2 hours.

This version will include RVN Kawpow and this is where all coin statistics will be reported. The coin statistics may not be correct for some period of time after the fork and will depend on how fast WhatToMine and CoinCalculators reports the new stats. Once they report the correct stats, it will show up correctly in Awesome Miner as well.

If you have any existing Mining Pool defined with the coin RVN X16rv2, you may have to manually change it to RVN Kawpow.

There are already a number of mining software that supports Kawpow mining. They can already be accessed via the "Update mining software definitions" in the Awesome Miner menu and they will of course be included by default in the next release.

The following mining software supports Kawpow mining: Gminer, Z-enemy, Bminer, T-Rex, NbMiner, TT-miner, NanoMiner.

I've not looked into Kawpowminer yet so I cannot tell if it brings anything to the table other than a mining fee of 0%.

once more looks like c32 profit is unrealistic both on nicehash and coin tab please check

Thanks
Nicehash CuckaToo32 is currently giving ~11 USD at 8H/s. That's about the same as Grin CuckaToo32 according to both WhatToMine and CoinCalculators.

need a new update for raven kawpow algorithm.... I wish u can update before the fork

Thank you
There are already a number of mining software included with Awesome Miner that supports Kawpow, like Gminer, Nbminer, TT-miner and T-rex miner. I'm about to add it for Nanominer as well.

I will keep an eye on that the algorithm is changed correctly for the actual RVN coin statistics as well.

but it always stop working

this is my setting

stratum from nicehash
x11 algo
miner from local computer
Could you please send me the Awesome Miner log file to Technedo.com
I do appreciate that everyone is working together on resolving problems. However, it's important to keep in mind that the Awesome Miner log file may contain sensitive information.

Bottom line: Never send your Awesome Miner log file to a third party.

Hai @patrike....
Please see mininngpoolhub calculation on online service its completely mess up, on equihash 192.7 algo

Thanks
Thanks for the report. It looks like MPH is reporting about 4 times the profit compared to everyone else for this specific algorithm. I will go ahead and remove this one as it isn't realistic.

I attempted to add my verge wallet to balances but it doesnt work - by default AM puts the "block explorer API URL" as "https://verge-blockchain.info/ext/getbalance/[address]"

edit:

that url does not work but from the same site i found that https://verge-blockchain.info/address/[address]" does work however when i put that in AM - AM still cannot get my balance.

https://verge-blockchain.info/api/balance/[address]

next time read the api documentation:

https://verge-blockchain.info/API
Thanks for sharing the details - I will update this URL in the next release as well.

Installed you new L3+ firmware (3.8.7.1) and 50% of my asics cant find stable chip config on profiles 500@620w, 505@720w
how long is tuning period? My is endless(

On firmware before tuning was completed in 10-15 min with no such errors in log. Looks like i need downgrade back to 3.8.6

I will look into this, but please keep in mind that it may take a while for the tuning.

How did you manage to solve the SD card installation problem you had earlier?
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: May 01, 2020, 08:40:21 AM
@patrike
Hi boss, i have problems with firmware replace on my Antminer L3+, actually i have installed original Bitmain firmware 10 July 2019
I have tried different methods with SD card (yours and Bitmains tool), but nothing help, i cant replace firmware (Cant find signature error). And no SSH ((((
Maybe someone know a trick.
Regards
The SD card installation method should always work. Can you please verify:

1) The SD card is formatted with FAT32 file system

2) The files you put on the SD card correctly. It is not the same file you install via the web interface that you can put on the SD card. It should look similar to the screenshot you see at the end of this page:
https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000145544-awesome-miner-antminer-firmware-installation

For L3+, you should for example see a few files in the root folder and then have a single sub folder called "nand".

SD card installation is required when running Bitmain firmware from July 2019 and later - as these have the signature validation. Installing via the web interface will give you the signature error message.
trust me Patrike, i have tried all this steps) I have formated to FAT32 16GB SD card, extracted your files (i saw subfolder "nand"), started asic with SD card inserted. nothing helps.
Maybe i must start asic with SD card and press some buttons during start?
some step by step manual needed...

you have the nand folder and the other files on sd card?

Use a smaller SD Card, 4GB is enough and best for this.
yes, i have this content on my SD
16GB ok, checked on Bitmain site.
If i start asic with SD card inserted, normaly i must see that the red and green diodes ON, but in my case this is not a fact(((
only green diode is on and miner continue normal hashing. Looks like my asic ignore reading SD
Like @sxemini pointed out, sometimes the Antminers can be a bit sensitive to larger SD cards. The 16 GB card I use happen to works fine, but I'm not sure that's always the case.

If I understood your initial post correctly, you already tried to put the Bitmain firmware on the SD card and tried the flash procedure?

Is this your only Antminer or do you have others to test with as well?
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: May 01, 2020, 08:36:21 AM
I have a problem to switch a L3+ asics mining profile over AwesomeMiner->ASIC Tools.
My ASICs is in another location as AwesomeMiner main programm host.( xxx.ddns.net)
I am so understand, that the AwesomeMiner switch mining profiles over web requests. But all my asics is under router port mapping and port 80 is mapped for example over 8101, 8102 and so on.
I cant find in AwesomeMiner program some settings where i can adjust port for extern web requests for ASICs
Or i am wrong? Please help
The profit switcher will use the Cgminer API to make pool priority changes. The web port will not be used. I think your Antminer is running with Restricted API access, where the miner only can be monitored by Awesome Miner but operations like setting pool priorities will not be available.

In order for the profit switcher to work, the miner must be in Privileged API access. As you don't have SSH access on your current firmware version, you will have to install the Awesome Miner firmware for this to work.
This ASIC has priveleged access OK
The pool switching work perfect.
Problem is only for switching for predefined mining profiles in Awesome firmware, not a pools. I cant switch between 505 MH, 540 MH, 605 MH and so on. over AwesomeMiner main program.
if i login to asic via web interface, i can without problem change mining profiles.
Hi. Sorry, I was reading your initial question about too quick there. For the Mining Profiles, you are correct that it uses web request (port 80) to the Antminer. Right now the web port cannot be modified. I can look into that.

We are also working on another solution for this. We will have a small application you can install on your Antminer that connect the Antminer to our Cloud and uses that as a communication channel to Awesome Miner. This makes it possible for Awesome Miner and an Antminer to be located on separate sites and they would still be able to communicate with each other (API, Web, SSH) without any firewall configuration.

Hi, guys. Does AMD wattage consumption is shown being core only? Or it includes memory
The AMD drivers reports a power usage of the Core only, so it's lower than the actual value. The nVidia drivers on the other hand are reporting more realistic numbers that represents the entire card.

What we do for AMD to make the number a bit more realistic is to increase it by 35% by default. So if the AMD drivers tells us that a card consume 100W, we display that as 135W by default in Awesome Miner as it's closer to the true usage. This is configurable in the Options dialog, GPU Settings section.
