Awesome Miner 8.3.4 (Development preview of 8.4)

 GPU mining
  - Improved GPU selection for Managed Miners and Managed Profit Miners, where the last know set of GPUs are listed for disconnected miners.
  - Notifications improved to include more details about the GPU causing the rule to trigger. (For triggers related to a specific device)
 Mining software
  - Gminer 2.47
  - NbMiner 37.0
  - Nanominer 3.3.2
  - T-Rex miner 0.19.12
  - SrbMiner 0.7.0
  - CpuMiner-Opt 3.16
  - XmRig 6.10
 Corrections
  - Correction to a scenario related to nVidia GPUs that could cause memory leaks. Note that nVidia drivers 460.x and 461.x have an internal memory leak as well, causing any process that monitors power usage to leak memory.
  - Correction to Telegram messages for additional users included in the default Administrator user group
  - Correction to a scenario where the same API port could be assigned to two Managed Miners

Is it possible to set fixed voltage curve in AM running on Linux? Can't find info anywhere, so far I was only able to set upper voltage limit in GPU overclocking settings.
I assume this in an AMD GPU? The actual voltage may depend on the core clock as well.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: March 20, 2021, 09:51:32 AM
I'm having trouble with remote GPU mining. When Awesome Miner changes algorithm or pool it doesn't show the change.

The miner Server was mining Ethereum on Nicehash, then changed to ProgPow on Zergpool. As you can see Awesome miner is reporting that it is still mining on Nicehash but the miner is actually mining on Zergpool like it should be. This does not effect my mining or profit, but it would be nice to have fixed. Thank You.
Do you have any thresholds or similar limits configured in the Options dialog, Profit switching section? If the profit switcher is configured to stay on a pool for a longer period of time, or that the increase in profit must be large enough, you can end up in a scenario like this where the profit switcher list another pool as more profitable - but no action is taken based on your configuration.

I have AM on 7 rigs. Everything runs fine. However, in the past few days one of the rigs stopped showing data. It is controlled and starts/stops the miners just fine. The console displays in AM as well. It is just the listing for the miner says the interface is offline and I can not get it to show correctly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail as well. Again, the console tab shows the remote command prompt correctly. It worked fine until a few days ago before the last update. Any ideas as to what else I can try?

Thank you.
Thanks for your question. Is this with a specific mining software only? Do you get any error messages in the mining software console window about errors related to binding to an API port?

Can you please also check that Windows didn't reconfigure your network from Private to Public or similar?
It is happening with PhoenixMiner on one rig only. AM can control the miner, but does not receive any data back to display. The startup console does not show any error with the API. The network is set to Private and the Defender firewall is off.

Log
Code:
2021.03.14:08:27:17.365: main Listening for CDM remote manager at port 4028 in full mode

When you see "Interface offline" at this point, can you please select the miner and send me the API Report (you can send via PM). You can generate the report via the toolbar Tools -> API Report. This will indicate if the mining software is responding to API requests or not.
I sent you the info in a PM as requested right after your post.

I have noticed that there seems to be some issue with not only thin rig but another now when I am running a GPU miner software (PhoenixMiner) and a CPU miner (XMRig). If i quit the CPU miner, the GPU miner interface comes back and displays correctly. As soon as I start the CPU miner, the GPU does not display. Have seen it on a second machine now as well. I am thinking the API management ports are not being set correctly to be different?
Can you please try with the latest development release of Awesome Miner (v8.3.4), planned to be made available soon?

To get access to development versions, open the Options dialog in Awesome Miner. In the General section, enable Check for development versions. Then go to the Menu and click Check for updates.

But, if I copy the same launch parameters to the "Command line parameters to mining softwere" in Awesome Miner, then the miner crashes when launched in the same way.
So it's not about the launch parameters.
Please remove all command line parameters ("Parameters to mining software") you entered for the Managed Miner. Awesome Miner should automatically setup the command line. If you try to put in the same parameters manually as well, you may end up with some parameters being set twice.
I tested various launch options - nothing helped.
Usually I naturally launch without any parameters and miner crashes, as I described earlier.
1) What if you launch TeamRedMiner via Awesome Miner, then completely exit Awesome Miner right away. Is TeamRedMiner still crashing after a short while?
2) Please also make sure the virtual memory size in Windows is large enough.

Hi guys, there is a strange problem with TeamRedMiner 0.8.1 on the Kawpow algorithm.
TeamRedMiner has full support for Awesome Miner.
But when you start TeamRedMiner through the Awesome Miner interface, TeamRedMiner crashes at this point:
https://i.imgur.com/pIbjpVU.png
At the same time, if you start TeamRedMiner manually, then it works.
If you run diagnostics in Awesome Miner, then everything works in it.
Also Awesome Miner shows error accessing TeamRedMiner API:
https://i.imgur.com/rOMJ9Kg.png
This problem occurs on different rigs with different video cards.
All other Kawpow miners (Nanominer NBminer) work fine and have no API errors:
https://i.imgur.com/vLEGttU.png
I would be grateful if someone could help
Is the Diagnostics running long enough for the problem to happen? You can configure this the diagnostics duration via the "Advanced" button in the Diagnostics window. Running the diagnostics and simply starting the mining software should be very similar.

If you copy all the command line parameters from the Diagnostics window to a command line window and run - is it a correct understanding that it all of a sudden works fine?

For the API message - this is expected and not a fault. In most cases Awesome Miner writes "Basic" API access. For mining software based on the Cgminer/Sgminer API, the term "Restricted" is being used instead, but it's the same thing and not an error.

I have AM running on Ubuntu server 18.04. A couple days ago I reinstalled the system and since then miner freezes 1-3 minutes after it starts mining, also freezing keyboard and mouse (??). First hashrate stops showing, then temperature, if I stop it it won't start again with an error, logs show nothing useful. Reinstalling AM remote agent helps to restart the miner but then the story repeats. Have anyone else experienced this? I've remover all other software leaving raw OF and AM, increased the swap file size to 50gb, nothing helps.
I don't have any great suggestions here but I just wanted to check if you tried running with another mining software in case it's only a specific one that is failing?

Hello in the latest version I have problems with the local web server no longer connecting. Is there a way to download the old version that worked fine for me while fixing this one. Thanks
I have a possible correction for this problem, planned to be released within the next few hours.

Rolling back to an older version is generally not recommended because the configurations may not be backward compatible.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: March 08, 2021, 05:19:10 PM
Perfect!

Another question, can you include other Pools like for exampe Ethermine to managed profit switching as HiveOn?
I think Ethermine only provides pools for a specific coin like ETH or ETC (but please correct me if I'm wrong here). You can add these like any other pools in the Options dialog, Pools section. Then you can include them in the profit switcher via the Options dialog, Profit switching section, where additional pools can be added.

Hey all,

just found this - https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/776876453525979166/818200828422127676/unknown.png

Looks like NH downloaded some 5.5D version. new github was created by so called phoenix miner devs with the same checksum as the original. Since what we got in AM is repacked version, we cannot confirm the checksum. But i believe Patrike knows..
I will look their new Github repo and compare the checksums.

Awesome Miner uses the official PhoenixMiner 5.5c ZIP-file as a base. Then we add their two "nvrtc" libraries to the ZIP-file to ensure our users doesn't have to ensure all dependencies manually. For this reason, all files like PhoenixMiner.exe are identical to the official PhoenixMiner release. The ZIP-file is however a bit larger as it also includes two more dependency libraries (resulting in a different checksum for the entire ZIP-file).

Update: I've verified the files on the new PhoenixMiner Github page:
https://github.com/PhoenixMinerDevTeam/PhoenixMiner/releases/
All matches their official release 5.5c they made in January, also included in Awesome Miner.

Another hint, Nicehash published recently warning about the using of popular PhoenixMiner, do you have more infomation about?
https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/stop-using-phoenix-miner-immediately
I´m a little bit worried about!
I'm getting a number of questions about this right now. The only fact we have right now is that the PhoenixMiner account on the download site Mega has been disabled. That could be for any reason. Claymore Miner has also been removed from Mega for example.

Other than that it's difficult to get confirmed information on what happened here. Someone (Nicehash team claiming it's the Phoenix Miner developer, but I don't know if that is confirmed) posted another download link to Phoenix Miner that contained different files. I don't have any first hand information so I honestly don't know.

If you would ask me to speculate, there are at least two possibilities here:

1) It was the actual PhoenixMiner developer that posted the link and the new mining software could contain some virus

2) Someone pretending to be the PhoenixMiner developer and posted a link to the new mining software that for sure contains virus. Maybe they even tricked the Nicehash team into including it in their software?

I can also point out that I receive e-mail messages every month where someone ask me to include "Gminer 3.0", "Phoenix Miner 6.1" or "Claymore Miner 20.0" or similar, where they provide a link to the download. I never click on any of those as it's obvious what they are trying to do here.
Thanks for your reply. Its difficult to interpret. Looks like a "PR-Stunt" from NH side, but could also be true.
Looks like a campaign against Devfee Miner at all. We will see .....
Will you also block PhoenixMiner in your software for the time beeing?

That Claymore also be blocked is curious, maybe is more behind!?
There are no plans to block PhoenixMiner in Awesome Miner. If someone want to use another mining software, please feel free to do so.

Based on the PhoenixMiner thread here on BitcoinTalk it sounds more and more like Nicehash overreacted.

Update: More and more points to scenario #2 above. PhoenixMiner hasn't been compromised. Nicehash overreacted.

I have AM pro edition with 10 miners.
I use 9 miners, but, becouse of the 4gb GPU's, some miners I mine on the same RIG RVN and ETH (with the 8GB)

So, to control my rigs, i need to add 18 miners.

I only use AM to see the miner, and I want to know if you can make a kind of license that allows me to only see more miners (don't need the miner control functions). Becouse to upgrade my license is so expensive...
With the classic license concept, this is how it works. Each mining instance is counted, even if you run two of them on the same computer. There are no plans to change this so there are not really any solutions except upgrading.

With the more recent license subscriptions we have, any number of mining instances can be added to a computer and it's still only counted as one license.

Hi.

Thanks for the feedback. I did push an update for Gminer on Linux yesterday.

Unfortunately still don´t work with HiveOn.
But what is that? There are also without function ....
It was added to this Profit Switching list by mistake, it wasn't intended to be included in this list and I will remove it in the next release. The idea is to simply detect if you are mining on this pool and it would provide the profitability. I will also make a correction to this feature in the next release.
Thanks for the info, do you still work on the implementation of HiveOn Pool? That will really nice to have!
Yes, can you please verify on v8.3.2?
