So does it mean that there is something wrong with the captaincy or does it mean that it's absolutely the management's fault?
To be honest I really think it's a bit of both but I think the management is the main culprit here. The team needed a lot better players and players with a lot more potential rather than the players that they have got right now, and they did not get those players, that's why they are suffering right now.
The other thing is if actually the coach and the captain had some say while the team was being decided I think it is also their fault. It is undeniable that the result it is just reflecting that.
May be the extra pressure, i was just making an observation i saw, when Kohli was the Indian captain he was not doing well as a captain in the IPL even when they had the best team available and now Rohit Sharma is the Indian captain and he is struggling as a captain in the IPL.

Actually, this could be one logic behind this. But to be honest this franchise as a whole did not work perfectly this season and they're paying for it.

I actually miss one captain who could stay really cool under this type of pressure who is Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He made a lot of controversial decisions but in the end, he made them work.
Anyway, I think Mumbai Indians need to change things really quick otherwise this season is lost for them in my opinion.
2002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 17, 2022, 05:33:49 PM
Sevilla  vs Real Madrid

Looking forward to watching the match between Sevilla vs Real Madrid. Real Madrid is a strong team. They are playing very well in both the Champions League and La Liga. However, Sevilla played well against Granada in the last match. So maybe Sevilla's players will still be confident today. At the same time, since this is Sevilla's home match, I hope we can see better gameplay from Sevilla today.
What do you think? Which team is interested in betting?

Real Madrid is a very strong team and they have proved that in the Champions League. Sevilla is also in a good run of form in my opinion. Even though we all expect Real Madrid to win this match I really think that Real Madrid is going to play this smart and not play their main 11 in this match because they know that the main target is "Champions League" now and they are in a really comfortable lead in the La Liga standings. So, I don't think they are going to raise kept playing their main 11 here.

Pochettino are getting closer to close his involvement as coaches at PSG, while the management desire to choose Zinedine Zidane as their new head coach. It's good news, I simply trust its valid and they will designate Zidane to be Parisians new coach. But, in where Pochettino will go? Because Manchester United job has been occupied already.

I think it will be really great for PSG if they can actually get Zinedine Zidane to be e the new coach. He is someone who can actually manage a team that has a lot of superstars in the squad. as far as the job of Mauricio Pochettino is concerned, I really don't think that he will be called upon by any top-tier teams at the moment after what he has done with PSG.
2004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 17, 2022, 03:22:38 PM
It's really a very difficult match for us to know who will win, especially the Manchester City vs Real Madrid match, because both have the same chance to win. Meanwhile, for the Liverpool vs Villarreal match, I think many people will predict Liverpool will come out victorious, so if you look at the strength of these two teams, it should work that way unless Villarreal can give something surprising like when they got rid of Bayern Munich.
Yes, it's really interesting for the Champions League at this time because a club like Manchester City, which has not experienced the Champions League title at all, meets a club that has won many Champions League trophies, namely Real Madrid.
So obviously it will be very interesting to wait for this match because two great clubs with a myriad of different experiences are competing in this Champions League.

Now the problem is if villarreal beat any other team instead of Bayern Munich I think it would have been easy to predict that they are going to lose their next match but since they have beat Bayern Munich it is hard to say that they will lose in their next match.

Real Madrid has really surprised almost everyone. but I think it is Benzema who has been giving them the lifelines and without Benzema, there will not be able to go through to the finals. so, I will expect the opponent to somehow keep Benzema quiet.

Ashwin do deserve mention in this list. In early his career he also faced similar charges but this fucker is engineer so he came up with the so called ridiculous solution. He started wearing freaking full sleeves to avoid any unnecessary attention in start of his career, i am not making this shit up as these are actually his own words. No wonder everyone hates his mf ethical mind.

PS : Big fan of Ashwin.
Was not aware of this, in his youtube channel he talks openly about things he faced and share everything and may be he shared this in his youtube channel. Even with full sleeves now it is easy to identify with all the cameras available  Cheesy.

I actually know about this and also remember. At that time Technology was not so great and they could get away with certain things. and this was amongst one of them. He is a good bowler no doubt about that, he thought it really great that wearing full sleeves is going to take away unnecessary attention from his bowling action. But it is also an aspect now that's really hard because almost everything is going to be monitored really closely.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 17, 2022, 01:59:41 PM
Really you want to replace Rohit from captain?
A match is won by team’s effort, not on a single player.
And don’t forget people like you were cheering for him when he won 5 titles of IPL.
Looks like the captaincy curse, Virat Kohli was the Indian captain for a long time and he never won an IPL title and now RCB might win a title but he is no longer the captain and when he won 5 IPL titles he was not the India captain and now he is not able to produce that magic nor even able to win a game for them  Cheesy.
The ones who need to blame here is the MI management for not selecting potential players for the team.
Let’s all hope now, this season is not for Mumbai Indians.
Hoping next time Rohit will score a good innings without some pressure.
Sure the management has to be blamed but the captain and the coach has the ability to choose the team during the auction and they failed and hence they are struggling.

2007  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia Was Prepared to Withstand Sanctions. Why Wasn't Europe Prepared to Impose on: April 16, 2022, 09:40:23 PM
Yeah, after reading this and seeing the graphs it really seems russia was planning this since very long? What if everyone today is just blind folded since the last Ukriane attack 8 years ago? Russia might have built the internal strategy right after they backed up the previous war. They might have projected the whole plot for example, how europe will react with the war breakout, how america will react which is most rival country for them or other way round.
The steadiness is due to Russia's richness in the fossil resources. They know world wants them and specifically the neighbouring European countries. Europe surely created too much dependency on the Russia and all sudden the they went rogue.
I think it is one of those strategies for war where you press the most weak point of others and then torn them inside out.
This isn't something they "planned", I mean of course they probably knew what they would do "in case..." type of situation, but they lived with this idea basically. Ukraine had places where there were plenty of Russians, and places where basically Russia is loved like crazy, and they wanted to get those places. Obviously it doesn't make sense for Ukraine to give their lands to Russia, so this means both knew that they would be in a war one day or another.

This doesn't mean they knew when it would happen, but they definitely knew that one day it would happen. If you consider that as planned, then it was planned, but I would say being ready, and not planned. Planned means they aimed at doing this, being ready means they would if something happened but won't if that won't happen.

I also could not agree that Russia had planned the war long ago. You could say that there was a prediction of a war going on between Russia and Ukraine over the issues.
Not only Russia or Ukraine but also full international politics could predict that war was imminent.

Russia had already predicted the war and realized what sanctions could be imposed on it.
And maybe that's why he's ready to face all the sanctions.
It is the countries that have imposed sanctions, but in some cases, they will be also face problems.

E.g.
1. We know how rich Russia is in natural gas and fuel oil. Now European countries can cut gas and fuel imports to hurt Russia's economy. But they will suffer. The oil crisis will hit some countries because oil and gas imported from Russia meet one-third of the country's demand. And alternative routes other than imports from Russia have been considered. But finding an alternative road is not so easy. Until then, the countries will face many problems. Especially Germany.

2. Russia can be called food grain and reserves. And if their food grain exports are also banned, there will be food crises in many countries.
2008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are your coins really safe stored in your wallet? on: April 16, 2022, 09:33:36 PM
I had recently been thinking about how really safe bitcoins or/and other alt coins are when stored in your wallet.
With fiat currency, financial institutions; mostly banks go all out with the notion that their institutions are safe and their vaults are top notch yet they still fall prey to bank robbers who would cart away valuables from the vault.
How safe then are the wallets used in storing coins? And if they could at any time and in any way be compromised hence losing your bitcoins

Bank is centralized they can size your money anytime without showing any reason.
Bitcoin is decentralized, no one have the power to size your bitcoin or lock your bitcoin. it is only you who is responsible for your coins.
A software wallet or hardware wallet just gives you a private key to separate you from others. until you keep this private key secure your funds are 100% secured, no one have the power even Satoshi Nakamoto the creator of Bitcoin will never access your funds without private key Wink.
2009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: imagine a world without Bitcoin on: April 16, 2022, 09:17:51 PM
In this situation it is very difficult to imagine a world without bitcoin. This bitcoin has played a huge role in the unemployed youth community around the world. If it weren't for Bitcoin, our lives would be a lot worse today. But for Bitcoin we have come a long way today. We will never be able to pay for Bitcoin. The more the world updates, the more popular Bitcoin will become.

I can imagine,
Without Bitcoin people should have to struggle for getting a job after having all kinds of qualifications.
Without Bitcoin we would have to invest in the stock exchange where 2% dump anxiety leads to hair loss. but in bitcoin 30% pump/dump is usual thing.
Without Bitcoin, Ukraine's president would not be able to provide a donate wallet for help after the war has invalidated their currency.
Without Bitcoin, the bank could have sucked people a little better.
A lot more could have happened without Bitcoin. It gives us ultimate freedom.
2010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 15, 2022, 04:40:48 PM
Rennes and Monaco currently have a gap of 6 points and also, Rennes is currently in 3rd place which is also a pretty good place to get the UCL ticket despite having to go through the qualifying round. But yes, if Rennes can win the match then obviously Rennes will be able to take over the 2nd position currently placed by Marseille, at least if their points are equal then Rennes will be on top or 2nd place because Rennes is leading in goals count. This is a tight match because even the favorite team still gets big odds, which means that the favorite team in this match does not guarantee to win.
Although I call the Rennes team a favorite considering the home team. But the home team does not win all the matches. In this match, the team that can perform well on the field will win. Because now the two teams are almost equally strong. However, the Rennes team remained unbeaten in the last 7 matches. They may want to maintain this continuity. However, the match seems to be more likely to be a draw. The match will probably be drawn 1-1
I think Rennes is in better form than Monaco. And I also think that the match is equally important for both the teams because if Monaco wins they will go ahead multiple sports in the point table and if Rennes wins they will get closer to the top two spots. Judging by everything I also agreed that a draw might be on the cards for this match. Otherwise, I think Rennes will be the team to win this match.

I think that Rennes is still going to go into the match with an attacking mentality and they will try to get all three points from that match. And they will also have a slight advantage because they will play in home conditions.
But, it is not going to be easy because Monaco will also be determined to win this match and get ahead in the point table.

I agree, a draw can be the outcome of this match. But with that attacking mentality of Rennes, I highly doubt that it is going to be a draw.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 15, 2022, 03:27:03 PM
Arsenal will need to get maximum points against Southampton this weekend. They cannot afford to loose any of of the remaining games. Arsenal need to respond against Southampton, adding that Tottenham Hotspur are now in the driver’s seat to finish in the top four. They have lost two games on the bounce in the league against Crystal Palace and Brighton; many will owe it to the injury of their key players in Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney and have subsequently slipped to fifth in the table. They are on a downward trajectory, and anything less than a win against Southampton will make things harder for them in the final stretch of the season.

If Arsenal wins this match they will still be in the 5th place because the whole difference between them with Tottenham is too big. But then Arsenal will have a better chance of going ahead because Tottenham has a match against Liverpool in the upcoming weeks and if Tottenham loses that match Arsenal will certainly have a chance to finish in the top four.
So, I agree that Arsenal cannot even think about dropping points in this match.

For today match Real Sociedad vs Betis and i think gap points between them and Atletico is not too far so there is a chance for both of teams to taking over Atletico position on 4th and regarding the match so far during this season Real Sociedad was very strong at their home ground even few months ago Atletico lose against them so after seeing these records i think Sociedad had good opportunity to get full points than Betis and seems pick for them is good choice as my bet
Based on their past matches, Real Sociedad has demonstrated a good results in this tournament than Betis team which their performance was not too good for their fans in this tournament. Real Sociedad defenders are fully prepared not to allow Betis players to achieve any goal from this match because they understood all the tactics Betis players are using in this tournament to achieve victory. Real Sociedad will definitely achieve victory from this match because they are fully prepared to defeat Betis 3-1 for the favour of Real Sociedad.

Even though it looks like one team is better than the other, both teams are almost in the same position for a reason. I think they are both the same caliber of teams even though it seems a little different from the outside.

But in terms of domination, I think Real Betis is ahead of Real Sociedad. And if I am not wrong I think their conversion rate is also good than Sociedad. So they should have a better chance even though they are playing in away conditions.
2013  Economy / Economics / Re: Read If you are between 18 and 68 years old! on: April 14, 2022, 05:33:18 PM
Gilbert's Research shows people from 18 to 68 underestimate how much they will change in the future, because of that they miss long term financial plans! What do you Think? Do you have any long term financial plans?
It depends on the person but this is very subjective.
1. The current lifestyle of people may affect their long term plans. Because they are only working from paycheck to paycheck, some are just forgetting long term goals and just think of them being healthy and can eat trice a day.
2. The current financial literacy of people can affect it as well. We know that people that don't have any financial literacy will not think of long term financial plans.

I've seen many people around me who are experiencing the 2 that I said above. That 2 can change the way people think of their long term financial plans. As for me, I consider myself lucky because there is the internet that helped me at least how to be financially literate and know how to think of long term financial plans. I just hope that many people will also think like that because it will help them as soon as they grow older.

Daniel Gilbert, in his study of human predictions and future plans, came up with the idea of how much people change between the ages of 18 and 6. His thinking changes as well as his financial planning.

@LogitechMouse, your two points are very reasonable. I want to talk lightly about these two points.
About 80% of the people in our society are employed and if they can get into their dream job then they think their life is set in many ways. Then, under the pressure of work, the plan that was in their head with the future financial plan faded away gradually. Then their main focus shifts to daily properly eating and staying well.

Gilbert pointed to the age between 18-and 68. 18 the journey begins on our way to maturity. And at this age, we have countless plans for our future. But in the last age, it has been seen that very little has been implemented.

Let's talk a little bit about your point number two.

Your point two is also reasonable. Because we have not yet made progress in educating all the people in our society. Yet a large part of the people is uneducated. It is rather normal that they do not have financial planning.
And without proper knowledge of financial literacy, they have no account in savings and investing, so they have to travel.

I don't have any future financial plans yet though. But as you said this is the age of the internet and we are lucky for that. As time goes on, I too will gradually learn the things I need for myself with the help of the internet which will help in my planning
2014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 13, 2022, 01:52:55 PM
We no longer have bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar or Brett Lee in international cricket. Such bowlers are not suitable for the T20 format, and for the last one decade or so, I haven't seen anyone bowling at average speeds of ~95mph, as Akhar and Lee used to do. One issue is the strict conditions put forward by the ICC to impose penalty on slow over rates. Bowlers like Akhtar takes a lot more time to finish their spell compared to medium pacers, and with that comes a greater risk of the team getting punished for slow over rates.
In T20 its the case that you pay huge penalty in case of slow over rate but in ODI and Test you can have this leverage. Muhammad Hasnain is the latest one who bowled at 155 kmph which is quite good compared to Shoaib Akhat 161 kmph. But Muhammad Hasnain is going through re-hab to correct his action, lets see whether he can come up with 155 with new action.

I think it's gonna be tough, really tough for him to produce 155 with his new action. It will probably be good enough but I highly doubt that the pace and also the skill is going to be the same. Even if he does manage to produce good skills I think the base is certainly going to drop.

The great bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar and Brett Lee take quite a bit of time to finish their spell but it is also worth it. And I certainly think that it is a really bad rule for the bowlers because a bowler is at his best when he takes his time and thinks about what he is going to do. On the other hand, it also gives the batsman a good rhythm to bat."

2018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friends Give Me BTC as Birthday give on: March 28, 2022, 07:29:36 PM
Today was my birthday. I just came home 3 hours ago. It was really late at night, but a party was organised for me. By the way, thanks to my friends who gave me this special birthday. But I was most surprised when I saw they gave me a birthday card and asked me to open it. When I opened it, I saw an email and password were written. And the account was a Kucoin account. Then I logged in and I saw there was $93 worth of bitcoin. And when I asked them about it, they said "this is a gist from five people. Four give 20 each and one gives $15, but because of the price volatility, it becomes $93. Though I didn't ask about the amount, I asked them what they did. Because I have been helping them learn about bitcoin for the last 15 days, and they have already made their first investment with me. This feeling is really something special for me. Literally, this is something special. And this birthday will be really memorable for me. My life's first bitcoin gift was on my birthday.
Do you guys have any memories of something like this? If you want, you can share that, and if you also give them any surprise, please share that too, so that I can get a better idea of what to give them.

Happy Birthday, mate Smiley. It's really good that your friend gave you bitcoin as a Birthday gift, It is really very impressive. But I don't know why people don't use non-custodial wallets when they gift crypto to other people. I've seen some other posts like this and every time they used an exchange or custodial wallets. we should have to practice using noncustodial wallets or hardware wallets, exchanges accounts are not safe at all. they can ask your KYC anytime and there is a high chance to lose the gifted amount.
2019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is going to be bad for the Indian Bitcoin community on: March 28, 2022, 07:10:43 PM
What a greedy government? So, 30% of taxes wasn’t enough for them and they still went ahead to add 1% for every transaction. Sometimes I don’t get what the government thinks about cryptocurrency. It seems they think that crypto investors are billionaires who are cashing in money every minutes of the day? Lol it’s very bad how they keep making it look like that.

This would likely so many investors, imagine having to pay that much from the profit you have made and additional 1% from the transactions. Although I wouldn’t say the 1% is much, but that 30% tax is heavy.  But I am guessing this will only apply when you’re making use of CEX.

Actually, I can't go oppose about govt.
After several banning attempts, at least they can realize that they should have to allow their people to use bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
Now, come to the tax issue, Actually, without regulation, no govt will allow their people to use Bitcoin freely. To manage the regulatory body properly they have to charge their people it is simple. So, the best thing I can say now is people can use bitcoin anonymously and they can do face-to-face deals or P2P deals to avoid excessive tax. Also, people can protest to reduce the tax.
2020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption? on: March 28, 2022, 06:55:31 PM
There is no law that says bitcoin cannot be accepted as a payment of a service or a product, it hasn't been in a long long time. Just put a bitcoin accepted here and maybe if you want to give discounts give discounts and sell it with that. Then pay your taxes on that income like a regular citizen (even though we do not like to pay it) and you should be fine.
Not that easy because if bitcoin is not legal in your country then for sure it will be difficult for the general public to use bitcoin as a payment method. Anyone can complain to the authorities and he or she may face legal actions against them.
Also, you cannot pay taxes on bitcoin if it's not legal. Things are really complicated as usually people hide the cryptocurrency because they worry that legal action may be imposed on them for possessing illegal currencies.

There are very few countries where bitcoin is illigal,
Most of the countries are neutral, they don't support bitcoin although they don't go against it too.
where it is illegal by law you can use it anonymously and can purchase for buying things from global websites.
yes, it is kinda sad that some 3rd class countries don't allow their people to use bitcoin, I don't know why! maybe their ignorance is the main fact in this case.
If you are never aware general public about it and if the general public will not express their interest in Bitcoin then Govt. will never force the lawmaker to legalize Bitcoin.
So, we should have to make people aware of bitcoin and its future in this new era.
