2001  Economy / Lending / Loan Requested on: November 01, 2011, 11:37:35 PM
Hello,

So for those that don't know me very well on the forums, I'm fairly active on the bitcoin-otc site.  I make my money by having coins/currency where people need it.  Some people have issues getting money into mtgox, some have issues getting it out, some don't want to use mtgox at well.  Regardless, I make my money by having it readily available for those that need it.

A week ago I was scammed by a user with bad moneypaks.  I know, the very payment method that is supposed to be uber safe isn't so safe.  I now know to always get a copy of the receipt used to buy the moneypak.

The scam utterly wiped me out in regards to my working capital.  I'm seeking a loan that I could pay back in installments, perhaps over 1-4 weeks.  I'm open to providing more identifying info if required.  My bitcoin-otc ratings are in my link and are pretty solid.  I've traded with users in the forums and am listed in the trusted traders thread.  I look forward to your response.

Ok, thanks, I will see asap does it work with truecrypt.

Make a truecrypt volume on it the size of the SD Card.  I've done that with mine.  Make sure to have a backup of your wallet somewhere else though, because when the flash eventually fails (and it will), you'll find it hard to recover your files off of it.

Why do you suddenly have a Russian accent when you were perfectly able to speak English before?

Are you a Russian hacker writing from a hacked account?
No it's weekend night and Im not the most sober

edit: ran it thorough word and fixed a lot of it

Awesome.  I want my exchange operator trying to do business while drunk.  Where can I sign up?

I'm pretty sure that's true for all of them, especially mtgox.

I'm pretty sure Luke-Jr doesn't drink.

sorry but i plan on running this responsibly, i don't even log in to remote desktop as admin when wasted
but i have idea, what about maybe "gamble with your account balance" feature like slot machine or roulette and you can win more or lose?

If you're gonna offer gambling with our account balances, I'd much rather you drink on the job.. that's much more random than any computer based random number generator.

And how exactly would you hold the escrow? In your own account? Do offer insurance in case the money is stolen or fraud?

In a seperate, special use wallet that's kept offline.  Yes, I'm insured against loss or theft for large claims.  Small claims I self insure.
2008  Economy / Lending / Re: Want to be short bitcoin? Borrow from me. on: October 25, 2011, 03:37:11 PM

And while we're talking about trust, weren't you the one trying to buy bitcoins using certain reversible methods?  You're to be trusted but others aren't?

I certainly was, still do try to buy by those methods and will keep doing so. I can trust myself to deliver 100% of time that is what I know, other people no I don't. I'm not saying no one can be trusted but you need to come up with a bit more than I'm a trusted member escrow service use me.

I know you have a good reputation, don't take offense. & OP  reply to PM's

All an escrow is is a trusted entity.  You already said I have a good reputation.  That's all I need.

We did a 2 digit trade and it was smooth/fast.

While I think there are some people who can be labeled "trusted traders" I would never ever put that much responsibility into 1 persons hands. 1 day he can be the most honest guy on the block, next a scamming theif.

Escrow services do exist, moneybookers has one which would be perfect for the buyer, gives you protection/charge-back options but for the seller not so much, + I think it's only 14 days maximum.

Perhaps, but I also have many loans out with other people.  So if I were to suddenly go 'rogue', I would be screwing myself  because its very unlikely I would get paid back.

You mention Moneybookers, but there you are trusting a corporation, which has an entirely different set of risks.  It ends up being a personal decision and I think you'll find that not everyone will agree which is safer.

we are predicting long term, mid term and short term trends. you can chose to not read them.

there are many people wanting this service

If there are as many as you say there are, you wouldn't be pushing subscriptions.  You wouldn't have to.  Everyone would be suggesting it to their friends.

Well, at least becouse of your thread we have 1 post less to go Wink

but on the other hand the spam is pretty much contained to one subforum which should leave the other forums fairly clean, in theory.

Riiiiiiiiiiiight.  So less spam, more trolling?

Do you think?

I don't have to think, I know.

Yes, Bitcoin sellers only. I have two now, but feel free to PM me and I'll keep you as backup.

I did and never got a response.
2019  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New user post requirements on: October 21, 2011, 04:59:11 PM
I would agree.
2020  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Want to sell coins safely for PP? on: October 21, 2011, 01:26:40 PM

But someone please tell me how we can be ripped off after the coins are sent. "Humans are evil" isn't really helpful. I thought I was up on what the PP issue was, chargebacks. I'm not saying I can reduce it in a general sense, just that I have a list and source of people I trust. If there is a problem besides chargebacks and human nature, I'm all ears.

Well if you have steady buyers, then service them yourself? Just become the middleman, that way the legit buyers you know will have some sort of insurance if things go wrong. if you are legit.

I don't want to or like to use PP or banks. I'm also not selling coins so I'd need to buy them back somehow. I just want a solution for these people and thought I might find someone here.

I would be willing to sell insurance for part of the markup. This would probably be best as it will keep me conservative with referrals too.

This is just one of those posts that seems too good to be true.
