"Or they can use bitinstant to get coins essentially instantly for a 4% surcharge, which is a better deal than what you were offering friday at a 5.5% premium, or the 26th at 9.1%. (assuming you placed the offer during the hourly high).

I really am amazed you can sell any coins when in the same post in which you offer the coins for sale you make comments like, " it will end badly imo...like all asset bubbles there will be a hand full of winners and a lot of losers when it pops...no it is not the end of bitcoin. It is just over due for a crash imo".

Perhaps you should go back to selling boat parts on ebay."

Ya I sell a good deal of coins and am very up front about what I think about the bitcoin market, my customers appreciate that. It is called honesty.

"essentially instantly for a 4% surcharge" essentially instantly you have got to be kidding.

When I sell it is instant and you never have to leave home.

"friday at a 5.5% premium, or the 26th at 9.1%. (assuming you placed the offer during the hourly high)." I buy my coins with paypal with a service fee attached and you cant know my % because you do not know my cost.

If you knew your ass from the hole in the ground you would know what an hour of time was worth, the cost of gas, wear on you vehicle. 5.5 percent is cheaper than 4 % with the other expenses of the transactions factored in..

And as for me needing to stick to selling boat parts, first I never stopped, I will make close to 100k this year doing it so ya I will be doing that, and second go fuck youself.

2005  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Jason Shea aka CardinalG - Internet scammer. on: March 04, 2013, 01:46:29 AM
That is why my page is completely open and my business page linked to my personal page. I want people to see who I am and what I do and to know exactly where to find me if you ever really need to. There is a lack of trust in the btc community transparency is the cure for that.  Smiley

2007  Other / Meta / Re: Unfair Scammer Judgements on: March 04, 2013, 01:07:08 AM
You can defend yourself if you aren't scamming you can prove it. I like catching and outing scammers but it is a lot of work.
2008  Other / Meta / Re: Unfair Scammer Judgements on: March 04, 2013, 12:48:50 AM
This is why there needs to be policing of the forums by the members. There has to me a flagging system where post that are flagged say 10 times from different users will be removed if you get 5 post removed your account will be review for permanent ban if scammer status is confirmed.

You could just post scammer or not to suspected scammer with a poll attached. After 24 hours if the poll says yes you get banned.

it would be cool if you could see the number of flags a post has and who flagged.
2009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 03, 2013, 10:49:35 PM
Explained Bitcoin to a room full of people last night.

It went from "Why would you want them, who backs them, isn't this a ponzi?" To "Where can I buy some?" in under 15 minutes.

The year of Bitcoin is upon us!

Where can I buy some?    i hope you told them the truth to that question... Which is no fucking where. If you are new you cant get coins anywhere in all likely hood. either that are you will pay way more than market price and work your ass off doing it.
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: going to put together a LTC mining rig.. need advice. on: March 03, 2013, 10:15:48 PM
So why can't I mine with cpu's again?

CPUs are slower. GPUs are faster. I thought everyone knew that by now.

If what you said about being able to sell at 8% over spot is true why not just buy LTC on btc-e and sell them on at the higher price? A better question is why doesn't the person willing to pay market+8% buy them on btc-e himself and save the 8% premium?

I think you are relying on hope not good sense but it's your money to burn.

I have a verified okpay and a btc-e account the reason that I dont buy from them with bank transfer and the reason that I can get 6-8 percent is that I sell for paypal. So when I sell I get PP funds then if I want more coins I have to send from pp to bank to okpay to btc-e. I have another business and I cant tie up my capital with low returns on coins when I can put it to work other places. If I buy from the exchange I need to send large amounts of cash to make a small return, but if i can quickly go from ltc to pp to ltc I can use the same dollars to due a large volume of transactions.

I love when all the noobies rally together, if you don't like it here, start your own forum it is that simple, we all went thru this processes it is life get over it. It really isn't that bad, if your active on the forums and bring in good content you will be accepted otherwise just leave now.

I never really went through this and only found out about noob-jail a year after I made my account. I must have created an account, not posted and started reading and by the time I wanted to post I could Tongue

Anyway, I'm not a big fan of the elitism. Having spend time actually reading before asking questions is nice though. And the measures in place today are likely correlated to that, but correlation does not imply causation

http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/correlation.png

TLDR: May be the restrictions can be made a little less strict. How about a quiz? Smiley

I think elitism exist not only against noobies but every faction of bitcoin. The foundation members feel elite to the non-foundation members, Some bitcoin core devs feel elite to everyone else. I mean that is something that is going to happen in any place when money is involved. Also I think the whitelisting works well. I mean you have an idea or your doing something that is cool you talk about bam your out and talking about it. If anything the current situation could improve but I mean again you don't want spammers and scammer that are fly by night.

I could not agree more, that is why the forum needs to change and adapt, as scammers tactics change so should the communities response as the make up of the community changes so should who the forum is geared to. Obviously as it grows there will be more and more noobie users so the forum should cater to its market and work for the people who need the help and who bring in the new dollars.

I need to know why I shouldn't mine LTC with cpu's? I thought that was the whole idea?
2015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Anyone selling GPU mining rigs? on: March 03, 2013, 08:48:45 PM
I want to buy a mining rig. GPU mining rigs wanted.

2017  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk needs to be more noob friendly on: March 03, 2013, 07:53:58 PM
Ya but where will they get their btc? They may learn about it some where else but where are you going to get them from? 1 of 3 places.

An exchange(puts you on the record),  bitcoin-otc (I am banned from there), or here.    every other option is not viable in my opinion. People simply are not going to do MP or Bit instant or coinbase, or mine in large numbers.
2018  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk needs to be more noob friendly on: March 03, 2013, 07:24:25 PM
Ya but I know I am an asshole Grin Grin Grin I think people should prove themselves too. This is a post about how btc needs to be friendlier. I agree.
Saying if you dont like it start your own forum is bullshit. That is like if you dont love the american military you can just get the fuck out of my country.

I love when "hero's" are the typical dicks you expect them to be. It is nice to know that you are going to be given a hard time by someone with a superiority complex every time you ask a question or have a suggestion. It really does a lot to grow the digital currency market, you see by creating such a hostile environment it makes new comers just fall in love with btc and will quickly adopt it and be sure to tell there friends how great it is!!.
Yay for assholes Yay for bitcoins!
