2001  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Technobit.eu / Marto74 BFL-Style SCAMMER on: January 06, 2014, 05:43:41 PM
So for now We are 6 days late and you call us scam Huh?
We made announcement that are behind the schedule and catching up.
I understand your frustration,  but I think this a little bit too much
Really scam Huh??

I understand that the delays can occur but that still doesn't change the fact that you didn't answer his email.
2002  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: MiningHardware.co.uk - WORLD WIDE SHIPPING on: January 06, 2014, 05:11:52 PM
OK Guys, I can confirm this is NOT a scam.

I went down today picked 2 units up and they are now up and running.

The service was excellent and he I was shown they work and I have also ordered a couple more.

Thanks for the units and we will be speaking soon NineLives !!

I don't doubt you but it would shut a few of the trolls up if you provided some pictures, hashing numbers etc . I might even purchase a unit myself.

Hi Teka,

There's a video on your site and ghash.io login.  Also on the first page on this thread Smiley

I'm aware of that but it's always nice to receive some proof from a third party.

Oh I got ya.  More orders gone out today / tomorrow so hope someone is kind enough to upload.
Just out interest, are the any plans on making something more affordable? Also, are the fans in the miner replaceable because they are extremely loud.

We are looking into water coolers.   Yes fans can be replaced but if opened warranty is void.

Price:  As the TH is released prices may come down.

I was thinking about something such as a product in the price range of £200 - £500.

Want to buy the x-3. Lot's of cash to loose, even though I don't think they're a scam I which there was a way to find out for sure.

Always remember to only invest what you can afford to lose.
2007  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: BlackArrow => Scam or not? on: January 05, 2014, 10:07:34 PM
you can see a one of their staff is inspecting for flaws on the hardware made, and she certainly does look Chinese to me. And them being located at China, that tallies up.

10/10 investigation work

The only reason I decided to give them a chance is because they (according to others) have delivered and even on time.

Yeah I wouldn't decide if a company is a scam or not based on a video made by the company in question. You never know they could be faking it. Also, there pricing does seem a little bit low which makes me wonder if this qualifies as a "too good to be true deal". They have proven track record of delivering somebody else items but to my knowledge they have never made an asic completely from scratch. I guess that all we can do right now is gather more evidence and wait for testing, prototypes etc

So why are the UK and US numbers the same? Everything about the site and prices does seem a bit off.
2009  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GerSiCs.com SCAM DO NOT USE THEM on: January 05, 2014, 05:16:22 PM
I got scammed by Gersics.com. I ordered  miner, paid in BTC and it never arrived. No answers on emaile, etc.
GERSICS IS A SCAM. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!

Honestly, no offence and I really do feel sorry for you that you lost money but at this point I seriously think that anyone who falls for this kind of scam deserves to get scammed. If you are planning on investing a large amount of money with any company, you should always ask around and do your research.
2010  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report: Projects on: January 04, 2014, 01:13:11 AM
Maybe someone should make a self moderated thread that will allow us to find out the total  amount scammed by Projects.

Date |  Amount Scammed (BTC) |   Worth $ at the time of Scam |   Description (e.g Item Sold, Loan Terms etc)
Someone needs to collate this information. I suggest everyone PM their failed transactions/amount owed to whoever volunteers to collate it. Someone step up and volunteer or else these things tend to drag on.

+1

I think there are a lot more of us.

I will like to start this , but not as familiar with the how to get it looked all organized using the forum but with some help I can start the post.

Start a new post that outlines the info you are looking for and tells everyone to pm you. Create a Google spreadsheet (make it public) with the table headings that I suggested. After you get a pm from a victim of Projects, input the data into the document along with the username (unless that person wants to stay anonymous). If you need any help pm me although I would like to state that I was not scammed by Projects and have never talked to him.
2011  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTER.COM SCAM? THE THEFT PROOF! on: January 03, 2014, 08:02:36 PM
I've had no issues withdrawing btc or sending deposits in the past. After all of these threads started popping up, I decided to try today. I deposited 4.1 xpm. I already had datacoin on the exchange so I traded that immediately without any issues. The xpm deposit took around 10mins to appear on my account after it was fully confirmed in my wallet. Once it appeared, I traded it straight a way, yet again without any issues. So once everything was in Bitcoin, I withdraw from BTER. The withdrawal took somewhere between 10-20mins to process and once it did process the funds appeared in my local wallet after the usual 6 confirms.

2013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is the Asus H81M-PLUS any good? MMC/LTC on: January 02, 2014, 03:54:06 PM
Hi,

These boards can be pickuped for great price here in the UK.They seem to meet all of the usual criteria for mining and are made by a decent brand. I was wondering if anyone can give me an insight into how reliable these boards are? Also, I didn't spend a lot of time researching any other boards since I just saw this one and thought the price was great so if you think there are better boards out there please feel free to reply in this thread.

Are you willing to ship first or use escrow?
2016  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [WARNING SCAM] BUTTERFLY LABS FAKE SITE on: January 02, 2014, 04:10:16 AM
@Caiapfas
I sorry if you lost money, but a dispute process like paypals would kill bitcoin.

I'm street smart I don't fall for scams and been programming since the 1980's so I don't fall for the old domain switch/misspelt. But I do feel BTC should have a dispute and oversight for protection. I personally feel no crypto will NEVER go mainstream without sometype of protect for people like good old cash has...

Thats what escrow is for.

Such a shame that the shipping is so expensive.

Since the GPU's are fairly large and heavy boxes, shipping cost can be expensive since I am shipping from Taiwan, also tedious to calculate, however its new years, so $10 discount for the time being!

Sadly even with a ten dollar discount they are fairly similarly priced in the UK
2018  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Hardware Retailer on: January 02, 2014, 12:34:54 AM
I just saw your frontpage. looks cool but are you sure 100GH/S can mine 0.12 btc in a day?

also skeptical of the figures in 300GH and 600GH.

Please don't tell me that you are considering buying from these guys.

.40BTC US

Already receive local offers that were a bit higher.

A bit...like 1.4BTC  that's a good offer  Tongue

I picked up a pair for .9 so I'll go to .45, but still a hassle for shipping vs local.

No they were offers of 0.42. As you stated the problem is with the shipping to the US. After taking the shipping prices away, I'm only getting around 0.37 for my card which is way too low.
