2021  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-01-22]F2Pool Welcomes Bitcoin Classic Hard Forking Solution on: January 22, 2016, 01:48:48 PM
i am sure this all is done to push the bitcoin core developers to hurry with their solution to end this drama. as far as i know is the majority of the chinese mining farms still strongly supporting the original core client. the earlier we get our much wanted block size increase from the core developers, the earlier we can leave this destructive drama behind us.
2022  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: January 22, 2016, 01:39:34 PM
Money is going digital,no doubt about that. The only question is when.Only the Fed knows...

money is already digital. nowadays we do everything with our smartphones. right now i just need my banking app in combination with the nfc chip in my smartphone to pay for things. that's all digital. i barely use physical money anymore since nearly all stores here have updated hardware that allows me to do contactless payments.
2023  Economy / Economics / Re: #panicselling is so 1995 on: January 22, 2016, 01:34:38 PM
Panic seller or not, i like to earn money and seeing some panic selling in the market never frightnings me.
in fact I am confident the profits made with a crash is 99% of people who panic sell.

So keep it going on.

If you bought the bitcoin when the panic selling a week ago, you are in profit now. Buy when others are panic.

that's how smart people are trading. they benefit from the panic in the market created by these panic sellers. but the thing is, most of the people are too scared to buy when the price is going down. it doesn't feel good for them. these panic sellers allow us to make good profits as they sell their coins to us for a low price, and when the price is going back up, they will buy their own coins back for a much higher price. Cheesy
2024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What regular people think about bitcoin ? on: January 22, 2016, 01:28:29 PM
In my town i know only 2 people know about bitcoin  Grin so basically many regluar people out there think nothing about it because they are still not aware of a thing called bitcoin.

this just shows that bitcoin has soo much room for seeing its userbase grow. if we manage to double the amount of bitcoin users in the comming years, then these people will also try to spread the word about bitcoin like we are doing it right now. here where i live bitcoin is quite known as they have heard about it in the media (mostly not good news), and i try to explain them why the media is wrong and why bitcoin is much better as currency compared to the fiat we are using here. if you explain what bitcoin is and how it works in easy language, then they will understand it and even might get interested in it.
2025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CNBC: Bitcoin is Alive !!! on: January 22, 2016, 01:21:57 PM
title of the article is "bitcoin isn't dead yet" it implies that it is still a possibility according to them. the media has always been known to have a hostile approach regarding bitcoin. this article appears to be somewhat neutral compared to other sites. that already can be seen as a good thing. if bitcoin was really nearing its faillure point, then most of the wealthy investors would have pulled back and sell all the coins that they have. it doesn't happen because they trust in bitcoin and think it has a great future.
2026  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: January 21, 2016, 01:42:25 PM
I won't say never, but holding instead of panic selling is advised. I remember i did some panic selling in the past.
But after the last dip i know it's better to buy more instead of selling.

it's a simple rule. just don't panic. seeing the price go down makes me happy as i can buy more coins at lower price levels. people just have to realize that panic sellers are always losing. at some point when the price is going up and they feel good about buying, they end up buying at higher price levels. it's just stupid. keep holding.

It's not stupid at all if you know what you are doing, I love when the price collapses because I can sell high and wait for the price to go down and buy again, panic selling is not bad if you know when to buy again, it's a really good trading strategy actually. Wait for dumps and profit.

indeed. it's not stupid if you know what you are doing. however, the majority of the people i was referring to are yolo buyers. they always lose money because they don't know what they are doing. these people always complain about the price going down after they have started to buy in. and then they sell at a loss to prevent even more losses. that's not really a good way of trading, right?
2027  Economy / Speculation / Re: Heading for the cliff. on: January 21, 2016, 01:34:48 PM
i can't agree with your analysis to be honest. you look too much at what has happened in the past, and that's how you came to the point of saying that we are heading towards a massive crash. also, i don't find the block halving price to be fully priced in already. we have much more potential growth that we can expect to see this year. the block size thing will get fixed this year, i am quite sure about that. what price do you consider to be the atl? the atl after the ath?

Did you even read?

I can agree, that the dollar (for now) is seen as the only safe-heaven by the wider public (global) audience.

ATL in dollar terms? 0.003 - 0.008 BTC/$

yes, i did read. what do you think i missed or may have not read properly? regarding the atl, i was talking as being 1 btc = worth ?.
2028  Economy / Speculation / Re: $400 will not survive the weekend on: January 21, 2016, 01:20:46 PM
Yeah bitcoin have gone to 350 dollars but now is back to 400 dollars that is good.
But I am sad that is up now is so expensive to buy :/

i always see people complain about the price being too high. why didn't you buy when the price was crashing? it was a fantastic moment to buy, but still people are waiting.... next time when you see the price is tanking, make sure you don't miss that opportunity to enter the market.
2029  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: January 21, 2016, 01:16:20 PM
now is the right time to buy bitcoin.
I guess not, wait until bitcoin prices down again, and that's when you have to buy bitcoin if you want to profit, but you also can buy bitcoin now if you only use it for gambling or trading

well, it's still a good moment to buy at todays price if you plan to hold your coins for the long term. short term wise, the best price to buy in was when the prices came down to below $400. but if you plan to buy for the short term anyway, at this moment it's just a fair price to step in. i still can see a sharp fall in price.
2030  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: January 21, 2016, 12:44:21 PM
I could buy now some bitcoin that would be very nice to have.
I have heard that for sure that after halving we will see the price increasing.

i think we can expect a higher price just before the halving than just after the halving. that's mainly due to the massive amount of speculation around 1 month before the halving. when the block halving has been completed, i think we will see a lot people sell their coins that they have bought at todays price levels. that will cause the price to come down significantly. after that it will recover and move forwards.

2032  Economy / Speculation / Re: PANIC BUYING !!!!!!! on: January 21, 2016, 12:31:21 PM
Buying in cheap is always a good thing. I doubt we'll ever see btc at $200 again though.
I believe that time has passed already.

reaching $200 is no part of the question anymore. i doubt many people are still waiting for this price to happen ever again. it's simply unlrealistic. people now think in terms of sub $400 which has already happened. if you have managed to buy at sub $400 levels, then you have done very well. right now the best time is to hold if you are happy with the amount of coins that you have.
2033  Economy / Economics / Re: China's Central Bank Will Look To Issue Its Own Digital Currency ASAP on: January 21, 2016, 12:24:52 PM
it will not compete with bitcoin as many think because it will be centralized, so there are more chances that it will actually help bitcoin to grow

well, bitcoin and other crypto currencies make people in china interested in it, which might trigger some people to get their cash out of the country in a fast and easy way. by creating their own digital currency they might try to get people to use that instead of bitcoin and other crypto currency. it's just speculating, but a fair possibility. bitcoin will always be different as the chinese digital currency will be ruled with iron fist.
2034  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is the best trusted website to earn btc? on: January 20, 2016, 03:07:03 PM
it's very simple. bitcointalk. there isn't any site where you can earn a good amount of coins per week without risking your own money. with signature campaigns there is no risk involved, and 1 post can make you earn more than farming faucets for an hour or so. and if you do both, then you can earn even more. but i personally don't find faucets to be worthy of my time.
2035  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell now in bubble? on: January 20, 2016, 03:01:18 PM
i don't consider the price going up $25 in a short time to be a bubble. if it went up to $800-$900 right now after sitting under $400 just a few hours back, then it would be completely different. right now the price is recovering to its normal price level. it was about to happen and many people were expecting it to happen within this month, and it did.

It happened very sudden though

maybe it happened a bit too fast, that i might agree on, but we also went fast from $420 to below $360. i find this to be a recovery to the normal/fair price level that perfectly reflects the current situation and sentiment of bitcoin. let's see where it goes from here.
2036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go sub 400! on: January 20, 2016, 02:42:51 PM
yes! we have reached $400 again just now. it feels good that i have bought myself some coins to benefit from the crash to below $360. let's see how long we can maintain the current $400 price level.

Well the Buy orders are still greater than the Sell so it could still go a bit higher Smiley

bitstamp went below $400 again but is now climbing back up as huobi is pumping like there is no tomorrow. bitfinex just reached $413 and it won't stop there i guess.
2037  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: January 20, 2016, 02:35:30 PM
I wish bitcoins can get into high prices this year, and wishing for 2016 as a year of BTC
hopefully everything according to your wish. this year bitcoin block halving experience and in this year also bitcoin will have a very high price.

there are actually 2 things very important. the block halving is one of them of course. but if we manage to reach consensus regarding the block size increase, then it might bring the bitcoin price even higher. it will then calm down things and we can move further. i really hope it will happen this year. people are waiting for it. the drama needs to end.

2039  Economy / Speculation / Re: price going back up? on: January 20, 2016, 02:17:29 PM
It seems to me it's been going up these last couple of hours.

I'm very excited to see this and how far bitcoin will rise in value.

i am more interested in what the sellers will do to the price right now. the price can't go up all the time without seeing traders secure profits and thus see the price go lower.
2040  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dip buyers coming in now on: January 20, 2016, 02:01:32 PM
Congratulations to the people who held or bought during the dip - you guys are going to make money because you have cojones.

this once again shows that you don't have to panic when the price is being smashed down. use it in your advantage to buy at the low prices, and benefit when the price goes up. like i do right now. i didn't expect it to return to $400 within a matter of hours. the price was just $378 a few hours back. i only hope we will stay above $400 now. the support at $400 is still weak, there is a chance of goinf slightly sub $400 again.
