1041  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Raise and time to buy ? on: June 04, 2016, 02:08:41 PM
The price has increased hugely over the last week, im regretting not buying some now....

Do you think the price will continue to go up ? shall i buy another coin and keep it though the halving to sell after?

yes i am sure that price will rise in future too,by future i mean this and other month, because of halving, people buy many bitcoins now to get profit from them after huge price rise

but even if price is large now, i think that you still should buy some bitcoins as price after some time will be much larger than now so i am sure that you will manage to get some profit

best thing is to just buy when the price is getting dumped down heavily. once in a while this happens. you just need to make sure you use that significant price drop in your advantage to buy as many coins as you can. a lot people are afraid of buying when the price goes down, while in fact it should make you happy as you get to buy cheap coins.
1042  Economy / Speculation / Re: is this the begining of the rally? on: June 04, 2016, 01:47:29 PM
the rally has started some weeks ago when the price started to sky rocket. it doesn't mean that the price goes up every day. there need to be some breaks every now and then to give the market some rest.
1043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going crazy yo on: June 04, 2016, 01:45:25 PM
bitfinex reached a high of $593.89 before tanking down heavily to just over $570 as it is right now. let's see how long the price will need to touch $600 for the first time. good thing is that the price difference between chinese exchanges and the other exchanges is gone. that's a good sign.
1044  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Raise and time to buy ? on: June 03, 2016, 03:00:36 PM
The
if you have no coins at all then i would buy with 50% of the money you have for investment purposes. the other 50% is for when the price tanks down even deeper. it's basically a win win for you. if the price goes up you benefit from the increase as you bought yourself some coins, and when the price goes down you benefit as well as you get the possibility to increase your coin count at lower rates.

50% seems rather a lot at the moment. I would use 10% to buy right now. Since i do expect the price could go down in a matter of minutes. That's the nature of bitcoin and yes you should be very careful with your money.

i buy 50% at a certain price to have plenty of coins in my wallet, and after that i have another 50% left, but that doesn't mean i use the other 50% at once. after that i keep buying with 10% each time. it allows me to buy 5 more times on the way down. since the beginning of me being a trader i use that method, and so far i can happily say that i have never made any losses.
1045  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price go up or down over the next year? on: June 03, 2016, 02:55:09 PM
I hope and think the price will be going up, I'm also thinking this because the bitcoin will grow globally and these days its already gaining so much popularity so i think its gonna go up next year.

a lot attention that bitcoin is seeing last weeks is because the price is rising in the runup to the block halving. it makes people interested as they see the possibility to make profit as the block halving is coming closer. as soon as the block halving is done everything will cool down again and the price will start to tank.
1046  Economy / Economics / Re: Does bitcoin will decrease after the last rising ? on: June 03, 2016, 02:06:06 PM
Do you thing bitcoin price will be back to 480€ theses days ?

as long as we have the block halving ahead of us, it's more likely to see the price go up or maintain its levels rather than going down. after the block halving i expect the price to fall below the $500 price level again.
1047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: June 03, 2016, 01:48:53 PM
interesting part is that on Chinese market btc is over 560 on us/can market its around 550 and on Europe is 535 at the moment
so for now you could say that price is stable cuz its been like this for over a week now

you can say it's fairly stable once the price has been moving within a certain range for longer than a few months. at least that's how i look at it. that the price is holding its levels is because people aren't really interested in selling their coins right now as they expect a bigger price movement any time soon.
1048  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 will be a boring year for bitcoin on: June 03, 2016, 01:21:33 PM
as long as there is a high volatility it's always good for traders. The Bitcoin halving should bring tons of vola this year. It will be exciting!

so far i have not been disappointed with the amount of volatility. especially when the price got up from around $450 to now $550. plenty of good money making opportunities if you use your brains.
1049  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin rise up to 800$ this year ? on: June 03, 2016, 01:18:37 PM
i hope too

I think it's pretty much a guaranteed bet to bet on bitcoin going up to $800 this year. This bearish market simply cannot last forever. And bitcoin cannot simply be undervalued forever. That's why I think a strong bull is coming.

Buy it now while you still can, and while it's still cheap. Bitcoin WILL rise to $800 by the end of the year.

there are no guarantees when it comes to bitcoin. if you make yourself think the price will 100% sure hit certain price levels, then you end up disappointing yourself. beside that, i don't consider the current price to be a cheap level to enter the market. cheap levels where when the price was sailing below the $400 price level for quite some time.
1050  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: June 03, 2016, 12:36:20 PM
It's definitely not an easy question-it all depeneds on how bitcoin goes in the future and if more people start to use it and replace it as a tool for paying in their lives,it's definitely possible, but I have to say I expect people to use both currencies at least for now.

it doesn't matter how large bitcoin grows in the far future. bitcoin will always remain an alternative currency. governments will never allow their precious fiat system to be replaced by something they can't control. it will cost them many billions in income every year, and on top of that it gives the power to the people. governments want to be the sole ruler over every aspect. it will not happen.
1051  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 03, 2016, 12:31:04 PM
A big time miner with really owns a lots of mining rigs and owns a property for mining is the only bitcoin job I see that can be taken by full time. But you really need a big capital here to ride the current wave of mining difficiculty.

In trading or any other method, don't need to sit 24 hours just to do this so take this bitcoin job only as a part time.

You are right, you need to have a big capital for starting it since 1 mining rig isn't enough for it, so you will need to buy a lot of mining rigs maybe 4-10 mining rig will suffice your daily income for being a full time bitcoin miner.

even if you have enough capital to build yourself a decent mining rig, you first need to earn back your money which already is a very though job as the difficulty keeps increasing. by the time you have earned back around 50-75% of your money, it will not be profitable to continue mining with the same rig.
1052  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: June 02, 2016, 06:08:21 PM
I consider them both as good but I think that paypal now has the advantage that its more accepted at online stores compared with the bitcoin.
I'm also right now not using the bitcoin a lot for payments due to this fact.

Bitcoin already surpasses PayPal in terms of transaction volume in fiat value. After that Bitcoin will slowly come closer to payment giants as American express, MasterCard and Visa. It's really great to see how much progress Bitcoin made during the years.

i knew bitcoin was on it's way to surpass paypal in terms of transferred money volumes, but i didn't know it already happened. do you have a source where i can find an article or something? can't seem to find anything.
1053  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: June 02, 2016, 06:02:32 PM
It is nice to see that here are so many people that has already made some profit and I am patience too because I want to make more money so I will also wait a longer time so that is nice. I also think that not everyone has made profit some of the people bought also at a high value I think and they have to wait a longer time.

In bitcoin, it is easy to make profit. You just need to hold it and do nothing. It will always rise in long term.

Well said. But earning after such a long time is simply waste of time. You should try multiplying it, else just holding long doesn't give only increase because none is sure of bitcoins future.
How it could be waste of time. When you are holding your dollars in your safe how you can expect any growth from it. But bitcoin will give you some decent value growth based on the time duration you are holding.

We can be sure about bitcoin's future based on it's past performances.

So far, in the history of bitcoin, if you hold the bitcoin for more than 4 years, you will make money.

it's not hard to figure that out as 4 years ago the price was peanuts compared to now. no one knows if you buy now and hold your coins for 4 years that you will be guaranteed a profit. the chances of seeing the price go higher as we progress through the years are indeed high, but we can't look that far in the future. i never take things for granted in life. bitcoin is no exception.
1054  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $700 again on: June 02, 2016, 05:15:23 PM
I am very confident $700 will be reached this year, as we saw a few days ago the price rising so fast. so most likely when before or after halving we could see $700

i think that before the block halving we'll experience a part 2 of the pump we've had some days ago. if the price stays at the current levels, then $700 might be the ultimate top that we will see this year. my guess is that we'll see a price of just over $600 due to the block halving.
1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: June 02, 2016, 05:10:44 PM
i need 10 bitcoins for retire
well thats not enough for 20 years. even if you're from 3rd world country I still doubt if it can cover all  your expenses with this 20 years time span..

in wealthy countries you can't even do much with 100btc if you assume the price will rise to $5000-$10,000. you'll need to make sure you have at least 400-500 coins priced at $10,000 each, to fully retire from it for a normal person.
1056  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: June 02, 2016, 02:40:22 PM
If it's something made by the government or by banks then you should definitly know that it won't be private and they will have control of everything just like the banks right , nothing much will change .
and for what comes to the Paper money I don't think it will dissapaear , maybe on some countries yes but worldwide ?definitly not because some countries don't even use Credit cards for their transactions so ... yep
The paper money is going to continue to exist and I do not believe that it will disappear with in 20 years. Maybe later on in the future it will disappear but I am sure that it will not happen any time soon.

governments will only get rid of physical money when all people around the world have access to internet so they can have a mobile wallet which allows them to transact digitally without any problems. as long as that doesn't happen, physical money will continue to exist. and especially when it comes to third world countries. these people need it the most.
1057  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: June 02, 2016, 02:34:23 PM
i love these old topics where you can see the first couple of pages and check who have been right and who have been thinking wrong all this time.

from 2015/10 price of bitcoin has only gone up and it shows that bitcoin was a good long term investment.

that's not really what i consider to be long term. long term investing for me is holding your coins at least for 2 years. if you hold your coins for less than a year i would call it a medium term investment. but then again, for me holding my coins for around a year is nothing, while other people may find 2 months already to be long term. different people, different opinions.
1058  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What do you think the price of bitcoin will be after 6 months? on: June 02, 2016, 02:24:22 PM
my guess is that after the block halving is done the price will bounce between $400-$500 for the rest of the year. i expect all the market action for this year to happen before the block halving. that's also what i voted for.
1059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like we're getting ready for another move on: June 02, 2016, 02:21:43 PM
I think within 24 hours of posting this we'll see a move, 48 hours max.  When I say move, I'm talking about something >$10 usual, but direction I don't know...Just a significant move for those that like options or range bound trading.

That was enlightening and useful to almost nobody I know, but there will be traders out there that can take advantage of it.

in the current market +$10 movements are nothing special. we've seen plenty of them last week. but then again, everyone has their own definition of what they consider to be a decent price movement.
1060  Economy / Speculation / Re: 0.02 BTC July 1 Prediction Competition! on: June 02, 2016, 02:18:29 PM
