<snip...>

Again, evidence is king. Even if a person has been previously convicted of a crime, that does not entirely mean that they would do the same. Until the camp of Magnus presents solid proof and evidence of Hans cheating on the over-the-board tournament, the fact still remains that this has definitely took a toll to his reputation.

Let us just wait until they release more evidence in proving the cheating that Hans did. While I do respect Magnus, this is the time that he must present solid proof that will substantiate his claim against Hans cheating.
While I agree with you we must also understand that the kind of standards that are necessary in a court of law in order to prove the culpability of a suspect are not necessarily the standards that are going to be used on every other single instance we can find, it is known that computers play differently than the way humans do and this is because they think about chess in a different way, humans find patterns and reduce the possible moves that they can make thanks to their experience, computers just evaluate hundreds of millions of moves per second, this means that computers can make some very weird moves that humans do not understand, so if the top expert in the world of chess says there is something fishy then most likely there is something there.

I understand your point
but it's worth remembering that we live in really weird times nowadays with cancellation culture at its peak
I still think that we should have evidences to condemn someone for a crime....

They are active in these promotion and organising different contest but from few months we have not seen their art contest though but the multiplier race and deposit bonus are on frequent basis for the gamblers. They are also partnering with big names in sports to give the casino a wide reach of audience so that's a good move on their part.
It's not few months, but a year and half since the last art contest was since February 22, 2021. Only Roobet which launch art contest regularly around 2-3 months per contest. But like you said Duelbits still run contest about multiplier master that related about slots, I think it's fine. As long as the promotion is still on this forum, so they will boost their advertisement, not only signature campaign.

yes, I remember seeing one Art Contest by Duelbits in the past but you are right this is way less common than Roobet's ones
no problem about it of course
each company may choose they preferred way of doing marketing
2044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2022 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: September 09, 2022, 04:23:55 PM
Right now, we are in the midst of a very interesting situation in the league. The Flamengo team is playing very well at the moment.
But it is the same with international. In addition to that, there are so many teams that are very close to each other. There is no doubt that a very simple mistake can have a very negative impact on any team and there will be a heavy price to pay for any team that makes this mistake.

However, Palmeiras do not have to worry about anything. On the table, they are far ahead of their opponents. My opinion is that there are no teams right now that are capable of dethroning them at this point in time.

Palmeiras has only 7 point advantage over the second place, and only 11 points separate it from the other 7 teams. Well... we still have 10 games (if I'm not mistaken) to go until the end of the championship. So... nothing is decided yet.
Palmeiras just lost an important game in Libertadores, will they be able to channel more forces in the Brasileirão or will the climate of disappointment take over the team?

well, 7 points of advantage is not so little, is it?
but you are right that nothing is decided yet, long way to go until the end of the championship

curious to know what will happen and how this will end.
2045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: September 09, 2022, 04:10:40 PM
Playing before bed when you are already lying in bed with a smartphone seems like a convenient option to play for half an hour or an hour, but from my own experience I can say that gambling can throw me off balance (win or lose) and eventually I will have trouble falling asleep. In my youth this was not a problem, but now I have to take it into account. It's quite funny how age and marital status affect our attitude towards gambling.

that's because you need a balanced brain chemistry to sleep
usually serotonin is transformed into melatonin that makes you feel relaxed and asleep
gambling will usually flood your brain with exciting neurotransmitters, it can definitely ruin a good night of sleep

I know very well the chemistry behind it all. The problem is that we can't do anything about it and end up back where we started - it's not easy for a family man to find time to gamble. And the advices in the first post that seems absurd to some people (who are obviously freer than family people) actually makes sense.

It would be great if that happened to me. I would actually avoid playing before bed. because I was worried that I would lose the game and it made me want to keep playing. When I'm not in control, then I will make more deposits, and this will bother me even more to be able to tide comfortably. This is what I experienced, of course it will different from what was experienced by other members in this forum.

Do you mean changing marital status or not gambling before bed? I didn't understand what you want. In fact, I don't even know what to achieve easier, haha.

there's always the option of taking a break from gambling or not gambling at all
in the end there are so many healthy hobbies to pursue other than wasting money for a little bit of excitement and very little chance of earning more

https://www.amazon.com.br/H%C3%A9rcules-Menelaos-Stephanides/dp/8578760360

there are some studies that says that power of choice goes down after you made a lot of decisions along the day
so this would make complete sense
it'd be easier to resist an urge right after waking up than right before sleeping
2048  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 08, 2022, 03:00:24 PM
A few days ago I noticed that STAKE does not allow any gambler to deposit on their website without completing KYC (both existing users and newcomers). Although there are restrictions on deposits, the site has no withdrawal restrictions. Users can gamble without KYC and they can make withdrawals too, but only deposits are terminated.
I didn't know this even though I have been playing at Stake for a long time now. Shit like this sucks big-time for the players, but the silver lining is that there are still plenty of great legit alternatives that don't require KYC for deposits and withdrawals.

The least they could do was give a grace period to process the KYC if they want or to refund the money of players who do not meet the KYC requirements within the validity period. That would have been reasonable.
Exactly. This would show that they actually care about their players and improve their popularity in the long-term.

that's a point on the KYC discussion we didn't mention a lot
any website has the right to change the rules whenever they want
it can make it harder for gamblers sometimes, probably better to go with more stable websites that survived the test of time. (have been around longer)

how clear Boristhecat?
seems like opinions are quite split in this case

Some friends commented that Carlsen didn't use to behave like that...

maybe he's getting a bit out of shape due to pursuing other things in life than chess
I don't know

@Lucasgabd
Ainda jogas o jogo?

2053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Set Of Action When Your Account Face An Issue on: September 07, 2022, 04:04:56 PM
So you're playing in a casino and you triple your wager but when you try to withdraw you cannot what set of actions are you going to do,
Are you going to screenshot your dashboard and your deposit, are you going to create a ticket first and ask support what happens to your account or you will ask chat support and screenshot all conversations because of the fear of getting your account ban, or you will directly post your concern here in Bitcointalk.

Obviously, once you send a ticket, your issue should be detailed and complete that's why providing a screenshot is necessary. After that, wait for their response and that should be addressed immediately as possible. In my case, I will give them 2 waiting days.

Depending on their response, if I received a sh*t response, then I will continue the argument. If I received a valid response, they should provide me the complete details of what violation I did and why my withdrawal is not going through.

I will show calm behavior here as much as possible until it is resolved. If everything is still not clear even after a long argument, then that's the time I will share my issue here in the forum and want to know the community's pulse on that issue.

we usually have two sides of the question
sometimes support is really slow and bad... it takes ages to solve issues even if they're simple
other times users don't want to comply and do what is asked...

A opinião é bem enviesada contra o Bitcoin

2055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: September 07, 2022, 03:44:41 PM
I understand what you are talking about and meant just about such game sessions. 3 hours is a good time to "feel the game" to take your mind off everything and have fun. But I talk like a family person and such sessions are definitely not available for me on weekdays, and there are so many things to do with the family on the weekends that I would rather play once a week than twice because I would not like to hear my wife's reproaches, haha.

No husband wants to hear their wife's reproach and when they start talking they'll not gonna stop until they're not done lol.

Well, I have to agree weekends are meant to be for the family, I mean the whole day or so. But, some people can still manage the balance between personal and family leisure. Me too I am a family person, but I've changed a lot now in terms of my gambling habits. I could spend a spare to gamble every other night after work but I choose not to, usually.

Playing before bed when you are already lying in bed with a smartphone seems like a convenient option to play for half an hour or an hour, but from my own experience I can say that gambling can throw me off balance (win or lose) and eventually I will have trouble falling asleep. imagino que daria para escrever só a história dos trabalhos de Hércules em 400 páginas.

faz sentido?

https://www.amazon.com.br/H%C3%A9rcules-Hist%C3%B3ria-Completa-John-Rock-ebook/dp/B08VWWKJWY

faz sentido?

still waiting to be convinced that sports betting isn't just a big random game with really small odds of mastering and similar to day trading somehow (90%+ losing money and max 10% winning on the long run)

anyone?

This is the spicy of sports gambling, the unpredictable bets.
Sports gambling usually are fair, but the math and chances to play against the house is the key factor here.
I always try to find good bets like a team weaker than the opponent, but somehow you know this team have great chances to win due to X or Y factor.
I try to not think about the long term, I just put some bets to have fun, if you see my posts you'll find that I prefer to bet on my team Corinthians, because it's a special thing, watching your team winning and you earning some money too is almost addictive.
Another thing, if you really follow your team, the news, the past, even the staff, you can bet more confident and have more chances to find a good bet.

I never used to bet on a long term thinking.

good point
maybe it's way more about
1. make the sports games cooler to watch and participate, adding a dose of hope. at least for me, I'm more interested on watching a game and knowing the outcomes if I have something at stake
2. the odds of each bet will affect a lot the decision process, there's a chance betting on the underdog would be a good idea even if you don't think they're going to win, because IF they win you could make 5 or 20:1

something like that...
