2041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MCL] MiracleCoin | No ICO | Proof of Faucet distribution | Traders Coin on: October 23, 2014, 03:41:29 AM
Alright guys, sorry to say it but I cashed out. I downloaded and ran the wallet for ~8 days, and cashed out my faucet proceeds for just over 0.138 BTC tonight. One would need some serious hashing power to get 0.138BTC in a week, so I feel I got more than my fair share for just keeping a wallet open.

I'll probably be kicking myself when I see this coin at 100k+ satoshi in a few weeks.  Proof of Faucet is a great concept and I wouldn't be surprised if other coins start trying POF.

Good luck to Miraclecoin and it's holders!

This coin and price situation is a perfect example why we need wall street money in crypto.  Too many young kids and broke bastards. Need money injection stat, China you know you want a miracle! !

All in due time  Wink

price seems very stable. in the next month there will be an opening of an etf and we will see a new bubble  Grin. however, don't sell now.

How the ETF is going to push the price up ? Winklevoss already owns a shitload of coins that will be liquidating at that ETF, with this kind of really slow demand and with the amount of coins they own it will be a long time before anything could happen, them holding that shit load of coins is one of the reasons the price is still holding.

Beside, don't even mention wall street and this ETF until we see how the Bitlicence is going to look like, if it will be remotely close to what the regulators of NY state are aiming for, then you just kiss wall street and that ETF goodbye.

I see you are being your normal abrasive self. Stating your opinion as undeniable fact.

But its also possible an ETF opens the world of Bitcoin to millions of people who can't be arsed right now to figure out how or why to buy a bitcoin.

Just like when Dwolla made it easy to transfer money in and out of Mt Gox, which in turn bubbled the price up from $2 to $30.

True. Do you know how many people I work with that don't understand how to use Word or Excel. No chance could they use bitcoin. The ETF will help those computer challenged.

I am trying to work with blockexperts because their richlist is not working properly, top two addresses are empty but the richlist is not showing so (this can be verified by looking at cryptobe blockexplorer). The easiest way to track the distribution end is by watching how many coins are left in the faucet wallet, which is now around 90k.
Once the faucet is depleted I will upload wallet.dat so that anyone can verify that all coins have been distributed.

Sounds good! Thanks for the update DEV!
2047  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: easyDice - you can win, but you can't lose! [CLOSED] on: October 22, 2014, 05:27:41 PM
Can you tell us what type of attacks you had to face?

Bot brute force attacks mainly from Ukraine, Serbia and China. I did range IP blocks with htaccess, but then they just started using a proxy. Attempted SQL injection and cross site scripting as well.

I didn't even have any BTC stored on the server, I was processing payments through changetip manually. But still everyone and their grandma tries to bust in. I was contemplating cloudflare or something similar, but I was paying out small amounts free to people who played my game and paying for hosting, then I'd have to pay extra for DDOS protection as well. I was hoping advertisements down the road would be able to compensate, but after 2 weeks of trial it was apparent this idea was a huge money pit. Sad

Nice site!  We need more developing tools for bitcoin.  When you go on youtube I'm surprised there aren't any howto videos on web dev with bitcoin. Not even something simple to get people started like how to make a faucet or build a charting website... Anyways, really cool tool. I'll bookmark this one.

Tried to play today as I had some free time and it shows "currently under maintenance"  Undecided

Sorry folks, I'm considering it a failed experiment. I made the payouts for two weeks. Traffic was low except from scammers, and hackers. Thanks to those of you who played Smiley

If TT is regulated or not, why didnt * go back and kill hitler or some other mass monster(s)?
Why not prevent lots of senseless deaths by inventing earthquake detectors or leaving more benevolent tech?

Perhaps one can not TT to a past date prior to the existence of TT. I would think there needs to be a portal of some sort on the receiving end before one could travel back to. So if TT was discovered/invented today then in the future one could only travel as far back as 10/21/2014.

Thank you everyone for your support I sent out over 9,000 MCL with over 50 total transactions, giveaway on my exchange is over for now. Look for more of these in the future Smiley

Whoa pride, 9,000 MCL?  Even if you had your wallet open since the first hour you wouldn't be able to accumulate that much. Which means you must have purchased them and then gave it away... very generous.

I love the idea! Someone make it happen and I would definitely use it

2054  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Christmas affect BTC price? on: October 21, 2014, 07:36:24 PM
Maybe... I bought my first piece of BTC on Christmas Day last year...

Ouch.  I hope you sold on the bounce...

I haven't sold a single satoshi. Been buying steadily every paycheck for almost a whole year now

been a rough year then for you!  Undecided

Meh, not really. I don't need the money I put into it. If I invested my savings then yea it would have been rough, but I'm just throwing an extra $100-$200 a month at it.

Hooray for demand exceeding supply!

Higher prices await!

If beanie babies, MTG cards and baseball cards can hold tremendous value, then there is no reason that Bitcoin can't surpass them all... combined.

$4500 beanie baby - http://www.celebritynetworth.com/articles/entertainment-articles/5-valuable-beanie-babies/#!/peanut-the-royal-blue-elephant_570/

$100K black lotus MTG card - http://www.ebay.com/itm/MTG-MAGICTHE-GATHERING-BETA-BLACK-LOTUS-BGS-10-THE-HIGHEST-GRADED-/310327005845

C-cex chat box is blowing up with MCL!

Also look at recent trade history. All recent trades are buys and only 1 sell.

Ha. 3D MACD going green. Looks like main engines are primed to me. Short away!

Nice finally!  But it's gonna flip right back to red if we keep this $380-$390 float and don't get some steady gains

Maybe... I bought my first piece of BTC on Christmas Day last year. I was bored on my computer and was like why not, the only thing open on Christmas Day is BTC exchanges Grin
Perhaps others will do the same this year.
