2062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simulation/Machine Learning Effects on Gambling on: December 22, 2019, 02:54:21 PM
I am a little bit curious about this because  my boss just told me last week that on their country, they have tools maybe software that predicts or simulate the horse racing game (not sure if this is an A.I.).

Aside from all other issues, including being illegal, how can a machine or program provide reliable data on horse racing? These races are organic races. So there are many factors involved, including the instant condition of horses. It seems not possible to me.

It could be if there is data for the history of the horses' races and their stats. Just like how stats are used in sports betting. But this is not a 100% prediction since there are factors that can affect the winnability of each horse during the race itself.

So do you believe that  Bucks are starting to build another winning streak?

I do not think they are actually trying but because of Giannis and the top performance of his team, they are beating the opponents. Their winning streak is inevitable.

Bucks going to play again tomorrow, its a back to back game but Giannis didn't play a lot of minutes so he is well rested against the Pacers.
We know pacers are also a great team, they beat the Lakers at home (of course Lakers without davis) but this time they'll pay on the road, so do you think guys they'll be able to handle the Pacers easily here?

If Giannis will be a monster on the court again, there will be no problem defeating the Pacers. And they have the homecourt advantage.

Day 35 Ranking

The gap is already growing as most of the top ten are scoring regularly compared to the bottom participants. There's still enough time though and many potential matches to score.

25 days to go.

Maghoholiday break pa tong game OP?
2065  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: December 22, 2019, 05:52:58 AM
If this happens, I am sure those who have large investments placed on crypto will do everything to restore it.

Definitely. If it's bad enough to worry about crypto, you don't need to worry about crypto.

Crypto is still money. And I am sure, there are those that have misplaced priorities will priorities to worry about their crypto and money.
2066  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Bounty Regulations on: December 22, 2019, 03:41:38 AM

2069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 10 (Celebrating the 10th Week!) on: December 21, 2019, 10:56:48 AM
Almost everyone here intends to share/donate their winnings to the victims. I don't. I intend to keep mine.

But, it does not mean that I will not help. There are ways to help them without spending all my winnings to them.

First, I am an avid fan of auctions. So, I will try to use my money to purchase items that I can then auction to others. Of course, I will disclose that the profits from the said auction will proceed to the victims. I can keep my money while helping others. Do you know what is good with this method? When people hear this, some will be inspired to donate items for auction. That is extra money for the victims and so the money that could go and help the victims is not limited to what I won. I have seen this many times in social media that is why I know this will work.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 21, 2019, 03:19:51 AM
Giannis is good this season. They are my favorite team to win the league. If they can do it this time that will open new doors for them for next years.

Well he was already good last season winning his first MVP. The difference is that he improved his three point shooting this season that's why they had a good 18 games winning streak.

And I would say that the win against the Lakers is a good sign that they really have the mindset and the attitude as compare to last year. Perhaps they can go to the finals this year.

He is improving in 3 pt department. He is taking more 3 points and making more of them. He is now 33% in 3 pt percentage. That is quite decent. A little more improvement and he will be deadly. I will still be a tough competition for them for the Finals spot but I hope they do make it to the finals. It is either the Bucks or the Celtics for me to come out from the East.
2071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are smart as well. on: December 20, 2019, 05:57:15 PM
Scammers don't have to give huge promises anymore, believe me they are among us and they know how smart investors have become too, they always reshape their tactics, now projects don't have to give too good offers because they know people are aware that too good to be real offers are scam, honestly scammers are not idiots

People keep saying good projects always have good team and brilliant ideas to solve crypto issues, who tell you that scammers can't deliver all this?

Of course, you have to be smart to become a scammer. You cannot scam anyone who is smarter than you, can you?

It is getting harder to spot scammers. You cannot just rely on initial input like projects, white papers, documents and the people behind them. You have to see them react in telegram and how they communicate. But still, you cannot 100% spot scammers from legit.

2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 20, 2019, 04:40:11 PM
Lakers lose but that does not mean we are doubting the Lakers, it's just one game and this is just a regular season, in the playoffs if they will meet again, it could be a different story. Lakers is still number 1 in ranking in the west, they are in 2 losing streak but they'll surely bounce back.

Luckily they will not meet in the playoffs. If ever, they will meet in the Finals.

I just can't accept this Lakers defeat. Why in the world Davis played a lot of minutes against LeBron. Of course Davis is the best scorer in the Lakers uniform but it is LeBron giving the biggest impact to the team and limiting his minutes is what I don't like about this game.

Lebron is 35 years old. He cannot play the same minutes when he was in CAVS. It is good that they have lessened his minutes. This will have a better impact in the playoffs. Giving Lebron more minutes will just exhaust and risk him getting injured. It is just one loss anyway. They are still at the top in the west.
2074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason Has Almost Arrived For Altcoins. on: December 20, 2019, 03:53:59 PM
The price of altcoins is also greatly affected by the price of bitcoin. The price won't get high if bitcoin is down, just like right now. So even if altcoin season, as you mentioned, will arrive, it may not have great effect on the price of alts.

Also, most alts are just shitty coins. Just a few coins will be able to take advantage of bitcoin losing dominance.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 20, 2019, 05:34:25 AM
111-104. Good win for the Bucks,  Giannis with 34 points.

They played good defense as well, in the first half and putting a good lead. Although Lakers did rally, Bucks  held on. George Hill coming from the bench and scoring 21 point.  And with the win, Bucks still has the best record.

It was a good game. The Bucks were able to protect their lead even when Giannis is in foul trouble. I just know that Bucks is going to win this because it is their comeback from an awful lost to Mavs.

And now a new streak has started, are we going to see them making another 18 game winning streak with the form Giannis is showing?

Why are we so obsessed in the Bucks making a streak or beating the longest streak?
2076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 19, 2019, 02:29:44 PM
Or maybe, this is the upcoming NBA Finals 2020 Preview. Who knows?

It could be. Both teams are top contender for the finals in their respesctive conferences. The only problem is, Kuzma and AD are on day-to-day. If both of them can't play tomorrow, then it is not a likely preview. I want to see them play with both teams having healthy superstars. Nonetheless, it is a match that should not be missed. I am betting on the bucks for this one.
2077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 9 on: December 19, 2019, 01:08:08 PM
Hello, running a bit late again,...
So let's get started already, I hope everyone is on a very good condition this time even though holidays are pretty coming near.

What if,... you're just watching someone on a Casino that suddenly keeps winning for a streak then after that he notice you and gave some money as a tip for his luck. Would you use the money he gave you to try your luck on that game (or any game you like) ? Or just keep the money for yourself for a good cause?

So tell me, what's gonna be...

I am in a casino so I will probably spend it on blackjack or dice. It is free money coming from a lucky player. You'll never know, he might have passed some luck to me and gambling with it might get me some good profit. If not, nothing lost.
2078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You selling to buy Xmas gifts or using bitcoins to buy Xmas gifts? on: December 19, 2019, 12:29:25 PM

Are you using your coins to buy Xmas gifts and to pay for your holiday expenses?

In my country, there is a very little option where I can spend my bitcoins directly. To be honest, I am converting some of my bitcoins to buy Christmas gifts and use some for holiday vacation. Maybe others are also doing what I am doing but I do not think that is enough to move the price this low. There is more to this dump than just the holiday season.
2079  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price Selling on: December 18, 2019, 05:44:13 PM
The selloff continues and Bitcoin is dumping. Is it he Plus One scam holdings being sold? Is it Bitcoin miner capitulation? Is it normal price fluctuations?

Be greedy when others are fearful.

Let's take a step back and get a clear look together.

We are still above the lowest price we had this year. I do not know what is causing the price to tank but it will recover. Remember, we are 3K just a few months ago and spiked to about 12K. Buy to support the price and wait for another spike. That will be my strategy here.
2080  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good time to buy BTC or Gold? on: December 18, 2019, 04:25:33 PM
I think the choice is subjective. My wife who feels gold is safer because bitcoin is volatile will invest in gold.

Me, on the other hand, is forward-thinking. I do not see the value of bitcoin now but what it's worth in the future. I will surely invest more in bitcoin because it is sold at a discount right now.
